I'll be at the May event in WDW next week and was just reading Dizpins... I'll be Staying as close as you can stay to MGM and can walk there in less than 10 mins... But to get the pins I have to drive in at 5am in the morning... I know it makes it easier to control the vouchers but 5am... :confused: Well it's a good thing I'm ugly cause I sure won't be getting any beauty sleep that night...:jester: :jester: :jester:

We did that for the April event at the AK. There were people who were there when we arrived at 4:50 am in taxi's paying to wait for an hour or so to get their voucher. There was someone else who was PUSHING their stalled car through the line! NO lie. I couldn't get over it. It was crazy! We loved every minute of it! We had a great time waiting, and then waiting in line for the pins, and then getting our map stamped. We can't wait to do it in JUNE!

Don't worry Nat. Most of us will still have our eyes more closed than open, so I doubt we will notice if you are not at your best.

Correct me if I am wrong...the World Drive entrance is not the one across from the Boardwalk. This is the entrance that you get to coming in from 192...the one with the characters in movie cells on either side.

The guy pushing the car through the queue for the vouchers cracks me up...it sounds like one of those push or pull trade-in deals at the car dealerships, "Push it, pull it, even if it ain't got no wheels, brang it on the blocks, we don't care, we'll give you the book value anyways, cause we're CRAZY!!!" What exactly is going on in MGM in May and when in May? I'll be leaving in a week. Can someone help explain these vouchers and what this event is?

Cynthia and I will be at the May event and we both have cars rented. It just was easier that way because we are arriving at different times.
We are staying at Boardwalk so if some of you don't have cars we may be able to arrange to meet somewhere and you can share a ride. But of course that will mean you have to split your pins with us, one for you three for us. That sounds fair, right Cynthia???

Disneen, the May Event is part of the 5 events leading up to the BIG Pin event in August. At each of the events there is a "map" of the park or area where the event takes place. You have to either trade pins or answer a question to get your map stamped. Once you have all the stamps on the back you show it to a CM and they will give you a free pin to place on a specific area of the map. There are other pins available for purchase to put on the map, all are rack pins.
There will also be a low edition pin released on the day of the event. This is a biggie with all of us. If you get the voucher you can buy two, one to keep and one to trade. These are highly desired because of the low edition size.
They also have event dangles for each event. Each dangle has the place where the event is held and the dangle part reads "August pin Event" Every event leads up to the Main August event.
