Hidden Mickey Scavenger Hunt at Epcot

Meet at the entrance to Spaceship Earth

Steven M. Barrett, the author of "The Hassle-Free Walt Disney World Vacation," will be leading a Hidden Mickey Scavenger Hunt through Epcot.

Did you know there are over 60 hidden Mickeys concealed throughout Epcot? On this hunt, Steve will point out some of his favorites.

Everyone who participates in the hunt will receive a guide to Epcot’s hidden Mickeys, complete with cryptic clues to make the hunt fun, and more detailed hints if you get stuck.

If you can’t make the hunt, let me know. Steve may be conducting other hunts during DIS-CON II.

I’m posting this notice because 1) Steve is celebrating the Thanksgiving weekend at Disney World with his family, as he does every year, and 2) my publishing company, The Intrepid Traveler, will be publishing (in April 2003) Steve’s next book, entitled (appropriately enough) "Hidden Mickeys."

Steve and I will both be at DIS-CON II and look forward to meeting all of you.

Steve said he'd like to do more than one hunt, so why not pick a time and we'll see if it works for everyone.

I'd love to join in on one of these but I'm working every day except Monday. I could do on any time on Monday but other than that, for me, it would have to be 5:30 PM or after. Thanks.

Anyone game for a short Hidden Mickey Hunt Wednesday afternoon? Say 3 P.M. or afterwards. We could start at the Swan Hotel, explore the hotels around Crescent Lake and some of Epcot inside the back entrance. Lots of neat Hidden Mickeys in the area! Otherwise, hope to see some of you fellow Disney freaks on Thursday 10:30 A.M. in front of the entrance to Spaceship Earth.

OK. I'll be in the Swan Hotel lobby at 3 P.M. on Wednesday, December 4. I'll have a blue shirt, a Mickey tie and a bald head. Hope you and anyone else who's interested can make it. If not, I'll just chat with passersby about Hidden Mickeys! I'm certain I'll get some converts on the spot.
