Hi all, just booked the Carribean Beach for nights using the new codes for end of January. Its been about 10 yrs since me & DH have been there. I can't remember much except we loved it at the time. We have a DD who is 4. What to do around resort? How to get to DD? Do they have boat rentals? How is food court? Boy how things change once you have a little one :) thanks for the help.

Hi!! I'll try to help. They have boat rentals at CBR, but I'm not sure of the cost. The food court is currently under renovation, so it will be brand new when you're there. You can take a bus to DD. The rooms were refurbished last year. My family always rents the surrey bikes to ride around the lake. Your DD can sit in front and ring the bell. I'm sure she'd enjoy that. It's also fun to relax on one of the hammocks while DD plays in the sand or on one of the playgrounds. Enjoy a drink from the outside bar, stroll the grounds and gift shop, a great resort to wind down after the parks. Have fun!!

They used to have a playground on the island there - it was shaped like a pirate ship! I know they removed at least some of it years ago, but I'm not sure if it was totally removed or not. There used to be birds in large cages out there too. My kids loved to go out to that island every morning on our way over to the food court.
One of the great features of CBR are the sandy beaches around the lake. That's where the hammocks and play structures are located. My kids spent more time playing in the sand than swimming in the quiet pools! Wouldn't let them wade into the lake though. It's posted as not for swimming, and the water is very murky and yucky looking. It was full of turtles when we were there too!
Schmeck, missing CBR, even though AKL was fantastic our last trip!

What we really liked was the curtain between the bathroom sinks and the beds.
DH was able to sit behind the curtain and read the paper early in the morning without waking the rest of us up. Those lights can be bright!;)

Oh my gosh JulesMom! You're the first person I've heard comment on that curtain at CBR! That is something I LOVED. I wish they would incorporate it in all the resorts rooms. I wake up so early and that curtain allowed me to get ready in the morning with out disturbing everyone else! :Pinkbounc

SeaSpray, your CB resort page is great! We are considering staying there in May and it was very helpful. Great pictures! It looks like a very relaxing place to stay!

You're welcome, kayeandjim, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
I have a lot more to add, but I never seem to find the time. I will eventually, probably this winter when I'm snowed in. :teeth:

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. I'm so looking forward to trying a differant resort for a couple days. Seaspray... your pages are incredible!! Why aren't you webbing for Disney!?!? More info on that site than anything I could expect on the formal site. Thanks again all. Have a great weekend. Kim
