We went when the kids were younger and they loved it. It would also be a nice romantic trip for a couple on their own. Our last trip and our next one they decided they didn't want to do it...parasailing instead!

My husband and I did the carriage ride on our honeymoon in December, on our arrival day. It was very relaxing, and very romantic. After a long day of traveling, it was nice to just sit and enjoy the ride through the resort. It was a little chilly, but they gave us a nice thick blanket to cuddle under, which made it even more romantic!!

I just booked this last night as an added surprise on our arrival night next week. We're staying at POR in a Royal Room. DH and I had done the carriage ride at FW on our honeymoon 10 years ago. I think this will be fun for our first family trip.

I searched the Disney site, is there a place to make a reservation for this online or does it need to be done over the phone. Also, is it prepaid or pay on arrival. Thanks. Didn't want to clutter the forums with a new post so I figured I'd ask in here.

To make the reservation, you just call the Disney recreation line. (407) 939-8687

And you pay on arrival at the carriage the night of your ride. I can't remember if you could use a normal credit card or not, but I know that we just paid on our room tab. They had a little receipt book that they just wrote down your room info on so they could charge it.

We did this during our stay there in 2010 and We really enjoyed it. It went all through both resorts and is supposed to be about 30 minutes but ours was about 45 or more. We just went up and asked if they were available and 1 was. There are 2 of them and the 2nd one was waiting for a reserved party.

Anybody know what hours the rides run? We are getting in around 7 p.m. and would love to do it the night of the arrival.

When we did ours in December, it was at 9pm (though they tell you to show up 15 minutes early). I believe there was one more slot after us, at 9:30.

is it $45 per person, or for the carriage? I plan to take my DP, this coming trip. After a day of traveling, some drinks and a relaxing stroll around the grounds sound amazing.:cloud9:

It's $45 for the carriage ride and fits up to 4 adults. Here's more details from Andre's awesome site.

DH booked one on Valentine' s Day at the POR desk like 4 years ago! It was nice to see both resorts and our horse was one they used for the Headless Horseman in the MNSSHP! I thought that was very cool!
