Does anyone out there know where I can connect to some information? I've worn out the search engines.....

My theater group is producing the musical "I Remember Mama" ( who knew it was a musical? ) and there is a folk dance in it refered to as the "hardangerfjord" dance. My reseach shows that the hardanger is a special instrument not a dance. So we can get away with just having a regular Norwegian folk dance. But I can't find any sites or people to write to to ask about the steps. Anyone belong to the National Association of Norwegian Folk Dancers??( just kidding unless there really is such a thing )

I know this is not Disney related but I was an active poster while I had a job and a fast computer. Now I'm unemployed and can't even play with you guys because this home system is so SLOW!

Did I miss anything good? I need to check out the debate board.
Just a little comment on exchanges - I did one once. It was great. Sure it was sending and receiving from "strangers" but that was the point! When I received my package, Shep was no longer a stranger, I knew he had been thinking about me the whole time he was choosing and wrapping my candle!

Ok - too long already. See Jason? I remember you all!

As the former president of the National Association of Norwegian Folk Dancers, I resent your snide remarks!!

;)

But since you asked nice for the most part. . here's a link (http://www.princeton.edu/~howarth/304.Projects/Zweibel/Pages/style.htm) with some info. . ;)

Really? Really? I thought everyone would laugh at me for assuming there was such a society. I used to belong to a Scottish Historical Society so it made sense to me. Wasn't trying to be snide, was trying to avoid ridicule.

You are the best!! All the sites I found were in Norwegian and I was SOOOOOO frustrated!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
