it is a very dreary cold rainy day here in maine.....temp is hovering around the 34 degree mark......it is not cold in the house.....but.....I had to get some peppermint stick ice cream from Friendlys and eat it.....so I had to put on a sweatshirt cause I am freezing......only time to get this ice cream is during the pre thanksgiving and xmas months and then the second week of january it is gone.....I just love it and have to have it.....maybe we should send it to Florida and eat it there too........any other peppermint stick ice cream nuts

And, I was just sitting here wishing the DQ hadn't closed as I could really go for a banana split!!

I am a mint chocolate chip or ROcky Roads person myself....I hate to tell you Marie, but I think they sell icecream in Florida year round ;)

Ummm. That would be ME.

Around here, Edy's has a "Limited Edition" peppermint candy ice cream (pink peppermint flavor with chunks of peppermint candy) that's only available from Halloween through Christmas. I don't even really LIKE ice cream (DH is an addict), but I L-O-V-E this stuff. We get it several times during the limited edition time period each year!

is only available at this time of the year......back in the old days of HO JOS.....we could get this year round.....oh well......I will mail peppermint stick to disney so we can have it in a warm climate

We used to get Peppermint Stick and Bubblegum in the summer at Friendly's before Hershey bought them!:(

Have you ever put the Peppermint Stick ice cream into a chocolate cookie crust pie shell to make a fabulous ice cream pie? Drizzle hot fudge on top and you have a heavenly treat!!

Going to lunch now...

I eat more ice cream in the winter time and soup in the summertime. I don't think I've tried the peppermint ice cream. I'm not sure if I'd like it. I'm not much of a peppermint fan.

mmmmm sounds yummy! I love the pumpkin and egg nog ice cream they have during the holidays too! :D

Mmmmmmm Pumba! I'm not much of an ice cream fan either, but I love just about anything peppermint and that would include peppermint ice cream!!! Sounds great! I've had Edy's before and that stuff is good! :eek: :cool: :D

We all like ice cream in this house...that peppermintstick in the chocolate crust sounds yummy!


DD had Breyer's Banana Fudge Chunk for breakfast this morning. When I did the :eek: and :rolleyes: she said "hey, you haven't gone grocery shopping yet, and besides, it has banana in it!" :teeth:
