Going down for the first time w/ another couple and getting a two bedroom unit. Does the other couple get a seperate key to open their "private" front door? Or does one key open all??? (or, does the other couple even get a key??)
Going down May 12 and appreciate the help!!

If it's a two-bedroom lock-off you will have two doors (can also be a studio and a 1-bedroom). If it's a dedicated two-bedroom there will be only one entrance door.

The same key will open both doors in a two-bedroom lock-off. You may request as many keys as you need (one per person, one per couple, etc.) If you do not want your guests to have charge privileges, let the desk know and their keys will not serve as credit cards. They can get their park passes put on the key but still not have charge privileges. I'm not sure if it's possible to set up two different charge cards on the same room. Anybody else know the answer to that one?

Pam: Thanks for the help. Guess there is no way to tell ahead of time if we have a dedicated or lock-off unit?? Everytime we get a one bed room, it's always been a lock-off unit, frequently with the "studio" bedroom occupied. I've never even seen a dedicated 2 bedroom unit in the 9 years we've owned at DVC.
Ah well-we'll find out on Saturday!!

Only one credit card can be coded on the room keys. But the other couple can have their park passes coded on their room keys. The foyer in the dedicated 2BR at OKW offered enough room so that the coming and goings of either couple should not disturb the other.
Have a great trip.

In our three trips to OKW where we stayed in a 2BR, we NEVER had a lock-off unit.

Depending on what resort you are staying at, you encounter different room setups. For instance, BWV, VB and VWL have lock-offs for their 2 bedrooms. OKW and HH from what I have heard have both.

Your reservation confirmation should say whether you are booked in a lock off or a dedicated 2BR. We just returned from VWL yesterday and we had a dedicated unit. We are booked into a lock off unit in January....
