Emma, when I flew to London a few years back, I was advised 2 1/2 hours ahead of my flight departure time. With all the extra security checks they are doing now, you might want to add another 1/2 hour (or even more) onto that. Personally, I try to arrive so that I am through everything and sitting at my gate an hour ahead. That way I know I have time for the loo and to try to relax. I LOVE traveling, although it makes me a nervous wreck cuz I'm always afraid I will get lost or something will go wrong). So I've learned to plan time for my anxieties!!! So far, I've been lucky! Have a great flight and see you soon!!

Ok, What is an internal flight?

Do you mean a flight within the US or to the US?

International flights normally require you to check in AT LEAST 60 minutes in advance or they start cancelling your seats. Domestic flights are 30 minutes.

Does that help?

I was told by United today to arrive 90 minutes before a domestic (within the US) flight, 2 hours before an international flight.

One of my bosses is going to London. But did she ask me to come along?????

Yes Emma. We call flights within the U.S. 'domestic' and in and out of the U.S. 'international'. :) But 'internal' works too. :) You have a domestic flight and an international flight. :)

Emma,

Are you flying from Orlando International? I would stick to the 90 minutes checkin, these days it can take so long just to get thru security it would turn out to be just plain stressful to leave it any less IMO.

Emma,
Are you staying in Philly or just connecting there. If you are just connecting you will be checked in when you check in in England so just mosey on over to the gate.
