Day 1 - Me, myself and I checked into OKW at 8:30 am - early due to the time change - lucked out and a room was ready - I'm in bldg 23 nice and close to the hub of OKW. I plan for a quiet day and plan to relax by the pool after I run out to Super Walmart and get a few groceries in preparation for company coming later in the week. To my surprise I come out of my door while talking on my cell phone and run into a creature I am not very fond of - a snake - which made me let out a squeal that made one of the CMs come running. I think after he tried very hard not to laugh at me when he saw the state of panic I was in, he decided to get some help to chase off the slimy creature. The brave CM told me it was safe to go back to my room but I decided that I would go back to my room after my trip to the store. When I returned I decided to look around before going to my room - okay it was safe now. Time to relax by the pool and plan my day - it was gorgeous weather and I was not in a hurry so ..... after a few hours by the pool I decided to visit some of my favorite hotels and decide where to eat a nice light lunch/dinner. I visited the AK Lodge and the Polynesian. It was still nice and warm so I decided to go back to OKW and lounge around some more. A nice way to start a trip - and different by my standards - I usually start running to the parks immediately but it was nice to just relax!
