Don't worry, Teresa, I do it, too.

Although sometimes I eat all of each color one at a time, and sometimes I eat the extras until there is the same number of each color.

I do too! ;-)

Though I also sometime make "rainbows" of mine, then eat the rainbows.
1 each red, orange, yellow, green, blue
It does leave you the brown ones..... but just eat them first.
;)

Fun with the colors is part of what makes them so tasty! :goodvibes

I do that when eating Dots candy, but those are different flavors and you gotta save the good ones for last.

How good was the joke about "starting over" if she makes a mistake haha.

I always had to give the brown ones to my brother growing up, he truly had me believe they were poisonous to girls and he was saving my life.
So I still leave them to last, and while I dot set them up in rows I will fish out one colour at a time.

I also eat my M & M's by color. The sad part I noticed my 7 year old son now does the same thing!

I have always felt that M & M's are one of the finest candies that you can buy.
And now at 58 years of age, I still feel the same way.
I don't sort by color anymore simply because I cannot wait to dig into them!

I do this too Teresa!

I always make sure I eat them one colour at a time, eating the extras first so I have the same amount of each.

I hate it when I only have one or two of one colour in a bag!!

I'll eat M&Ms in any order, but Skittles have to be eaten by color or in combinations of colors that create new flavors (green plus yellow = lemon-lime, for example)

Of course I eat them by color! Brown ones first, green ones last. Now if you're eating Necco wafers it's brown ones last. Reds are last for Dots and jelly beans. You've got to save the good colors for last! Nothing wierd about that. Now the real question is...how do you eat your peanut butter cups??:rotfl2:

:)There's only one way to eat a peanut butter cup...first eat all the chocolate around the edge (all the way around) then start on the middle.

There used to be a commercial years ago for Smarties that started something like "When you eat your Smarties, do you eat the red ones last...."

In 1998 I came back from a trip to Vegas that included a visit to M&M World. I found out that the color distribution is according to a strict formula according to the flavor (plain, peanut, etc.).

I and another coworker (being equally crazy) spent a lunch hour counting all the M&Ms in a pound bag of plain ones and then breaking them out by colors. There are about 587 plain M&Ms in a pound. The color distribution was spot on.

We gave most of the M&Ms away. One woman in particular appreciated the gift of about fifty-seven green ones.

We were going to count another pound bag, but we left it in the freezer over a weekend when they were going to clean out the break room.
