.... I went for my yearly this morning and she thinks I have fibroids. I have a good friend who suffers from these so I know a little bit about them.... She put me on the pill to try and help... but my friend has had little success with this treatment. Wanna come to my pity party?:( It could be A LOT worse... so I guess I'll focus on how fortunate I am!

I had these when I was pregnant, but apparently they shrunk. I certainly would have never known I had them, but I guess they showed up on the sonogram.

I hope the medicine works wonders for you, mermaid.

Fibroids are not a problem unless 1) you are bleeding a lot or 2) you want to get pregnant. If they become bothersome the surgical treatment will be different depending on whether there are more children planned...either a hysterectomy or a myomectomy (removal of the fibroids). Good luck!
