View Full Version : First Photo (Cat Lovers Check it out)

I just recieved my new (used via eBay) digital camera today. It's a Nikon Coolpix 995 (just like Dan's) and it's great.

Here's my first attempt using the Point & Shoot mode with onboard flash. This is our Maine Coon cat and she goes by the name of Marmalade (Marm for short):

Whoops, forgot to resize it after I downsized the file. Oh, well, hope you guys don't mind.

Dan, this thing shoots extremely sharpe photos even after I downsized them for the Internet. Think I'll just keep the P&S mode for now until I get used to the lens. So far I am just amazed. Don't know why I waited so long to get one!! :teeth: The controls are very simliar to my Nikon SLR so the initial learning curve should be short.

Lady Marmalade???

I love that cat. It looks like the camera is working great. I plan on going digital before Christmas so I will check that model out.

Beware, Scott! Marmy looks surprised and will probably run when she sees you coming with that camera. I think it's the flash.

I have the same problem with my kitty and she hardly ever looks at me anymore when I'm carrying a camera.

Beautiful cat!! I have a Maine coon also, a princess we named Xena! I love the name Marmalade!

Like Brian said, once you go digital, you can't go back! I LOVE mine! My cats think my face is attached to it!

Great picture. I need a new digital camera. My regular camera is a nikon and i love it. This looks like a nice one. Do you mind me asking how much it was? Thanks Scott for sharing, you did a great job.:D

As for the camera, I've been taking it around today at work and am having such a good time. It's nice to edit out all your bad shots!!

Beautiful kitty!! I've been thinking more and more about a digital camera, but with cruises coming up I probably won't get one for awhile. :(
