Can you tell me all about wheelchair rentals in the parks and elsewhere? Cost for the week, where they can and cannot go, what are reasonable accomodations that can be made on attractions?

Could... But the FAQ at the top of this forum already does an awesome job of doing that :teeth:
I think all the information you seek is in Post # 2.

i would look at offsite rental so you have outside gates at parks and at resort. if person can transfer from chair to ride, wheelchair can go to loading area. chair will be move to unload area if needed by CM, no worry for you. say state ]d before look at sticky's above this list. hopes this gives you some of what you are looking for.

I would suggest an off-site rental. The scooter will be waiting at your hotel, less expensive than on-site and very reliable. We use Walker Mobility as they have in-park service and their rates are usually the best in the area.

Have fun!!!

We also rented from Walker Mobility. They delivered the wheelchair to the Marriott resort where we were staying so it was waiting for us when we arrived. Upon departure, we left it by the front desk and they picked it back up from the hotel. Their rates were the best I found for a week long rental and they were very professional. We even had a problem with the wheelchair when exiting one of the parks at night. I left a message on their answering machine after hours and they promptly brought us a new one right away the next morning. We were very glad we rented the wheelchair outside the parks because that way we could use it to get back and forth from the parking lots and outside of the parks. Plus on a couple days we were in two parks and it was nice not to give the wheelchair back as we exited and pick up a new one at the next park. We had no problem with wheelchair accessibility when boarding the rides. The CM at the entrance of each ride will tell you the wheelchair procedure and there is a special edition of the park map/guide at guest services that has additional information for those with disabilities/using a wheelchair.
