For years I have wanted a sprinkler system for our lawn but we didn't have enough water pressure. When my well pump failed recently I had them put in a big enough pump to handle it.
New lawn next spring!
Funny the little things in life that excite us. Enjoy your sprinkler system.
As soon as it's installed I think you should run naked through it to test out the pressure.
You have such a beautiful yard. A sprinkler system will make me more envious of it's beauty.

Are you thinking of something a little more elaborate than a sprinkler and soaker hose WMA? lol
Mamu, you better make sure you have your digital camera in time for the next Plymouth meet! ;) :)

That must be some dream WMA, because that looks an awful lot like your neighbour's house! :teeth:
We have a small do-it-yourself micro watering system that DH installed. It's on timers, lots of little hoses barely buried in the garden. It drove me crazy seeing it go off when it was raining outside!!
Does anyone else have an irrigation system? :)

Alex...I can't wait to see the beautiful, lush gardens poolside.
Lucky you, Alex!!!! :) Looks like it will be a few more years of dragging the sprinkler around the yard for us.
Are you going to install it yourself or are you hiring someone to do the job?
DH had threatened to install ours - YIKES! Not terribly hard to dig in the Florida soil, however, from the DIY shows I've seen it looks like it would be a complicated project for us.

I'm definitely going to do it myself, I am suicidal that way.
DW's rule of thumb is double the cost estimate and triple the time estimate, although the second rule is usually low!

No comment regarding the above.... :teeth:
We had an irrigation system put in the front and side yards (we have a corner house). For several years after having the cesspool replaced, we could never grow the grass back. Until we got the irrigation system. Love it. Wish we could afford to have it done in the back yard too! We also have a rain gauge thingie so that it won't go on when it is raining!
Good luck with the installation of the system, Alex. Hope you can hum a happy tune the entire time. :D
