So do you need Reservations for restaurants at Universal?

Does Universal have a system like Disney's? If so how does it work? How soon can I reserve?

The only restaurants that take reservations are Emeril's (Citywalk), Lomdard's Landing (USF), Confiscio's (IOA), and Mythos (IOA). Reservations are essential at Emeril's.
