I have been checking National daily for the rates to drop in Aug. they have been $211 for weeks. I just tried it and it is down to $140 for a full size. Time to make my ressie with the EA i got for free. I also used the code on Mary warings site for the free day . Got it for 8 days for $149 with taxes, and get my choice on the aisle

A big Yahoo!!!here. I just rebooked my Sept. ressies with DC and EA and saved $50 from my previous low ressies. I'm so excited, hoping to get something fun from EA...I drive a minivan at home so without kids this trip and using EA for the first time I'm hoping for a fun car....:bounce: :bounce: :pinkbounc :pinkbounc

What's Going On?!
I still can't get better than $211/wk for a pickup on July 3rd.
Come On, National!!!
If this doesn't get better, I'm going to have to go with my Dollar reservations.
Anyone else get a rate change for early July?
grrrrrrrrr

Ok, I need help. I just went to the National site (had a good rate on a compact car at Dollar, but have another person going with us now and need a larger car!). I used my DH's EA number and it comes out WAY high...$270 a week for a full size. Then if I just go the 'regular' way, I get $140 a week for a full size. How are you guys getting all the great deals for EA? I'm a Disney Club member and have an Entertainment Book (not with me at the moment so I don't know any code to use). Can you give me some hints?
Thanks for your help!

EA with DC code is still at $211 for pickup July 3rd. Maybe another day or two? Should I try without the DC code - I can't see how that's going to help.

On the bright side, I got Cindy's breakfast reservations this morning :)

Cool, thanks for the tip, I just saved $50 on a week in August! I don't have my entertainment book or card with me. Is the code different for everyone? Thanks!:bounce:

I just checked the rates for National for our early Sept trip and a weekly rental for a convertible is $431!
That's more than twice the cost of teh Dollar reservation I already have ($175/week) and the Dollar car is a better car!
My husband insists on renting convertibles when we're in Florida - yes, we could take our chances with Emerald Aisle, but I'd never hear teh end of it if we didn't get a convertible! So, even though it can cost a fortune, we always reserve a convertible.
FYI, not all reservation rates are great!

Minnietta -
Just checked for the third time today and my cost with EA and DC discount dropped 25%. Base rate of $151.00 per week.
Finally - I think maybe National is lurking around here somewhere . . . :smooth:
Thanks for everyone's help.

Kacey, thanks to you (you are going the same time as me) and thanks to checking here about 5 times a day, I just got Full size EA car for $144.97 per week and $24.16 per day there after.
I only got this quote once and printed it out and then when I went back in to try different codes and coupons, I kept getting $151.97/$25.33. Isn't that weird?
I can't figure it out for the life of me. I'm so glad I printed it out! I've got it for 10 days for $214.53!!
This is the lowest I've gotten so far for this time period. I also wanted to change the reservation to my husband's name (free National EA promo!) since he will be driving and I've been reading now that they charge for a second driver.
I'm so happy!:)
Thanks everyone for always posting updates!

Well, I believe I figured it out. I kept trying and I got $144. by taking out ALL codes when I first got a quote. That just gave me $144. again. Then I hit the back button and then plugged in my codes/coupons (DC and coupon) and still had the base rate of $144! Go try this!

My rate dropped over $80 for a 9 day rental and is cheaper than anything I was able to get from any other on site company for Late Oct. I am thrilled.
