Im checking into air rates for our aug cruise
we like to go non stop-
since we no longer have midwest airlines
weve been going on southwest or airtran
the only non stop SW has is at 615pm not good!!!
but they have a 225pm when we get back from the cruise we like that one
however air tran has 900am going down which is good
but coming home is 725pm--not good
what I was thinking of is booking airtran one way and sw the other
the rates would be the same--rather high now so Im going to keep watching
is it a hassle to fly 2 different air lines
any other tips
thanks

No.

In December I flew to Orlando on AirTran and home on Delta. Now that you usually don't have to buy a round-trip ticket to get a good one-way fare on domestic tickets, a lot of people fly on two different airlines.

You could fly on two different airlines but that 2:25 flight is not good.
You would have to be at the airport by 12:25. If the main highway from the boat to the airport has an accident you may miss your flight. There is no other road to take.. And that main highway has very few exits. I would not chance it! It could end up costing you $$$$ if you miss your flight.

People are usually off the ship by 8 or 9 - so there's no reason not to book a 2:25 p.m. flight. Anything noon or later should be fine.

Yes. Fly in the day before your cruise departs.

Yes. Fly in the day before your cruise departs.
And out the day after your cruise gets in. Make it a nice, relaxed vacation.

I know you have to be off the ship by 8:30 but why chance it. All it takes is one mishap such as an accident of 528 that could make you miss the flight. There are no other routes to the airport if there is an accident on 528. Why risk having to spend $$$$ on a flight home.
