Best cabin for the money?????

We are getting ready to book our first cruise ever. We will do the 4 night Wonder....next October. We are DVC members taking avantage of our points to cruise.

I am trying to decide which cabin option to book. I think I remember reading somewhere here on DIS that there were "special" rooms or "partial" ocean views or something of that nature. I am primarily looking at the categories 9, 10, or 11 as I don't want to use too many points for our first cruise.

Can anyone shed light on this for me. Does anyone have a "tip" for me?

In my opinion , would go with Catagory 10 deck 5
witch is the secret porthole room u r trying to describe
u get split bath and a porthole, if u wish to view these rooms

oh yea if u r planning on using points , i would list the points for rent on the dvc rent trade board and use the money that u get from the rental of the points, Cruising with points is very expensive ! would get a quote from dreams to compare

Also consider the partially obstructed verandah rooms that were recently reclassified from Cat. 6 to Cat. 7. I have pics. of those on my website too. We haven't stayed in one, but the obstruction doesn't look bad at all for a Cat. 7 price.

Thanks for the information. I just booked room #5520, one of the secret porthole rooms. I just love DIS!!!!!!

Now I have something to dream about until next October.
