Has anyone ever been able to book two side by side studios with connecting doors? I have no Idea if this is even possible and if so which resort (s)

Any info appreciated
Thx

studios never ever connect to other studios. some studios connect to 1BRs but that is it.

some studios are located next to each other ("adjoining") but that cannot be guaranteed.

Agree.
Studios never connect to another studio.
They do connect to one bedroom units to be used as 2 bedroom villas.

Thx for replies - that is what I thought. Is it tough to get "adjoining"?

Yes. Some resorts don't have any adjoining. OKW, for example, most studios are at opposite ends of the building.

We booked 2 studios once at BWV we did get adjoining .but this was a few years ago when weekend points were double weeknights and we checked iron a Sunday ...lots of open rooms.....a lot depends on on the room turnover on the day you check in

I have never seen this, but I do remember reading that you could get connecting Inn Rooms at Vero Beach. But you are probably only looking at the WDW resorts.

We had three studios last October at BCV - I just requested close to each other. Two of us were right next to each other.

I seem to recall that HH has a special arrangement in the Lodge but I don't think it's connecting studios.

Its a request...and with high occupancy, its a request I wouldn't count on being made. DVC seems to have a sense of humor when it comes to rooms being "close to each other" - i.e. one on top of the other on different floors. If its really important to be close to each other (for instance, you have kids and need two studios because you are going to spread a larger family between two rooms - of course, one grownup would have to sleep in each room), book a bigger unit. If its a nice to have (you are going with friends, it would be nice if you were close, but grownups can meet in the lobby), go ahead and make the request.

There are a few adjoining studios at OKW. They are in the U shaped buildings, but actually being able to secure them through a request is unlikely. It is more likely you'd receive studios close to each other, either in the same building or a building next door.

At BWV, once, although my studio didn't connect with the one next to mine (next door was a studio) our balconies were a mere inches apart. I kept thinking how easy it would be to climb over from one balcony to the other. Of course, if you missed-SPLAT! Right down on the boardwalk!
