We are hitting Disney in Sept. We will need to rent a van as there will be 6 of us in our party.
How do we find discount codes to make the rental much cheaper? I am a Costco member if that makes a difference?
Who usually offers the best deals?
How far in advance should I book?

We've never rented a vehicle before so have no idea what I'm doing here :confused3

Visit Mousesavers.com for codes/advice. Note that I usually find the best rental rates 1 or 2 months prior to my actual dates. September is a bit far off for finding applicable discount rates/codes/coupons.

As the PP said, you will find very little codes for September as Most codes for anything after June haven't come out yet. I would start looking probably closer to May if I was you and keep checking. Last year in late august we were able to rent a Mini van from alamo for a little under $200 for 8 days but I had to book and cancel and rebook alot of times. I would say the best rate came out about 3 weeks before our trip, Before that, it was always around $500. most rental companies will let you modify and cancel resevations as long as you don't pay online. Right now I holda reservation for August minivan for 2 weeks and it cost me $603 with budget but I'm hoping to be able to switch to alamo with a better deal later.

Can I ask a question since Im thinking of doing this for our late august trip . Do they include all the mileage in this price? they dont try to charge you any extra mileage costs etcc..? If Airfare doesnt come down Im thinking of renting a mini van or suv .

The vast majority of rentals that I've done include unlimited mileage, but be sure to check the fine print as there are some rentals (most noteably those done at non-airport locations or from smaller local companies) that do have mileage restrictions. Also, some rentals have restrictions about driving out of the state where the rental was originated.
