We are planning on picking some oranges on our non-park day.

Does anybody know if we can pack them in our checked luggage on our flight home to Ohio?

(do I get an award for the strange question of the day?):cool1:

Well, as long as you don't go trying to compare packing apples!!!

lol....thanks for my morning laugh.

I have seen some of the heated discussions on here comparing apples to oranges and I would never, I repeat never, even think of doing such a thing!:rotfl:

Yes you can. I even took mine in my carry on last May. And we had another bag of oranges in our checked luggage. We did not have enough space in our checked luggage for the other bag so I just put them in my carry on. And we flew on SWA

Here is the place we went to. It is only 20 minutes from Disney and very easy to get to. Remember to wear tennis shoes when you go to pick and not sandles or crocs because of the fire ants!

*** one other thing to keep in mind.. Their growing season is not like ours in Ohio. The orange growing season starts in Oct and ends at the end of May/early June.

Thanks Shelly.

Showcase of Citrus is where we are going. We drove down a few years ago and went there. I just wasn't sure if I could pack them on the plane or if we would have to have them shipped. Good to know that I can take them with me.

I looked at their season chart and since we will be there in April, it looks like we should be able to get something.

BTW...we too are on the shores of Lake Erie. Perry to be exact..if you don't mind saying, where are you located?

Thanks again

The only issue you would have is if you were flying international - you can't bring fresh produce across the border - at least not to/from Canada. Since you are in Ohio - I think you are good to go :)
