We usually drive but this seems like a great deal...

I was looking at different airlines and getting prices between $1200 and $1700 for the four of us to fly from Indianapolis to MCO.

But Airtran has $110 each way per person, for a grand total of $880 for us to fly. Now considering I figure gas will be $4/gallon at least AND how many miles it is from NE Indiana to Orlando and a hotel stay on the way down and another on the way back and all the meals will eat over four days of driving... It would cost us close to $700 to drive. So $880 to get there in two hours? Um, yeah, sounds too good to pass up.

But just wondering if that's a good price for AirTran? Should I BOOK NOW? Or should I wait it out to see if they go lower? I haven't flown anywhere in roughly 5 years so I don't really know the trends in prices like I used to!

Get it while the getting is good.. airfare is tied to fuel prices and I think we all know what's going on there..

I did it. I can't believe we are flying, we never fly. We are road trip WARRIORS, hahaha. But seriously when the price difference between driving and flying is so small, there's no point!

We are arriving in Orlando at 11:30 am. If we drove, we'd have to leave at 3pm the day BEFORE to arrive by 9pm the next day! So we gained a day on the beginning of the trip.

We are leaving Orlando at 6:30pm on our last day. If we drove, we'd leave by 10am. So... we gained a day on the end, too.

THAT IS SO STINKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!! :)
