When we booked on Friday my travel agent told me that Disney hasn't set yet how much onboard credit will be given for booking with the Disney Visa. How much do they usually give?

For our upcoming cruise in June, our TA said that we would get a $50 OBC for paying with our Disney Visa.

I think it's usually $50 obc and 0% for 6 months when you pay via Disney visa; however, we rebooked on our last cruise and could not combine DCL's OBC with Disney visa OBC but still could take advantage of the 6 months 0%.

Maybe they have changed it. It's been a while but when we rebooked onboard we got a $200 obc plus 10% off on a 7 nt cruise we couldn't get the $50 obc through visa. We'll probably book another DCL we'll find out then!

You generally cannot combine discounts from Disney. You can get ONE discount that requires a code. You can get the $50 Disney Visa credit. However, you cannot combine this with an onboard booking OBC + 10% discount.

The one thing you can combine is the $25 on line booking credit (whether booked thru a TA or on your own) with the Disney Visa code. The online booking discount does not require a code, So, combining those, you can get $75 per cabin.

The Disney Visa onboard credit is combinable with the $25.00 onboard credit you receive for booking online but it's not combinable with the offer you receive when you book onboard the ship.

Also, keep in mind that if you book online and have the $50.00 Visa offer and you add any other discounts like Kids Sail Free, you will no longer receive the Visa offer.

Another thing to note (with all of the expensive cruises in 2013), you will only receive 0% interest on payments under $10,000.00. Once the payment is over that amount, the 0% interest does not apply. So, if you have an expensive cruise, pay if off in a couple of payments over a couple of days. :)

How do you get the $50 credit? Booked intial deposit with Disney Visa got a $25 OBC for each person, planned on using Disney Visa for final payment to get more Disney $$, not worried about the 0% just want the $50 credit and Disney $$. What is the secret to the $50 credit?

There is a code that must be entered to get the $50 Disney Visa credit. If you booked directly, call DCL and have them add the code.

What $25 OBC for each person did you get? The online booking credit is per cabin, not per person.

A credit from a TA can be added to any other credit.

Thanks for the quick response reread the email you are correct $25 is for the cabin, well with the $50 it will be $25 for each

The code for the Disney Visa offer is DCC

All payments on the reservation must be paid with a Disney Visa including the deposit. :)

Do I need to tell my travel agent to input the code or should she already know to do it?

Remind her. And make sure you make ALL payments with the card to get it.

My agent was listed as a Disney Specialist (last years cruise) and she had never heard of this and I had to tell her about it! So you never know.

A good TA who knows DCL should know to do it--in fact, should as YOU whether you have a Disney Visa and are using it. On the other hand, it is your money on the line--I'd remind him/her.

Do you know if every payment has to be paid with the same Disney Visa (I have two - one original and one premier)?

Does anybody know if you can still get the Disney Visa OBC if you book a GT rate? (VGT, OGT, etc??) I had a regular cabin booked but saw they had posted GT rates so I cancelled and rebooked and when I did I lost the TA OBC that I had previously. The TA reminded me before I switched that I would lose the credit, but nothing was ever mentioned about the Disney Visa OBC....didn't even know it existed.

I've been told that it can be multiple cards as long as they are all Disney Visa. :)

Unfortunately, the Disney Visa offer is not combinable with the discounted GT reservations.

Booked our Alaska 2012 cruise last July with DCL over the phone as the website was having issues that day. They told me about the Disney Visa OBC and entered the code. Super easy and got $50 credit.
