Ok we will be there 5 days so I know we will get it all in but when we arrive, on a Friday we should be at the parks by 10-11 am. Should be go to DCA and hit FFF (we have small kids) and do all that the first day or should we head to Fantasyland or Toontown?

I would think that the 1st would be a very busy day with crowds peaking by 11, and not significantly declining until after the 3:30 pm parade.
Since you will have plenty of time is there a possibility of touring the resorts....having a character lunch, then heading to DL staking out a piece of curb for the parade and spending the rest of the evening in the park ?

Friday is a great day to hit Knott's (Camp Snoopy) if it is anywhere near being part of your plans. DL will be nearly as busy as a Sat/Sun. FFF may have a queue just to get in.
We did Friday at Knott's in October an it was great to warm-up in a relatively empty, much more laid back park. 5YO DD had as much fun in Camp Snoopy as any place at Disneyland (with exception of iasw).
We were able to do all we wanted at Knott's within about 4-5 hours, headed back to the hotel for a break then arrived on Main Street just as the parade started and the jets from the Angel's playoff game passed overhead.

If you have a hopper pass, check out FFF, if it looks way too crowded, then go to DL. The lines may not look too long, but the wait IS because all of the rides are very slow loading! It is only a 15min walk from FFF to Fantasyland. On Sat go to DL as soon as it opens, go to Dumbo first, then Peter Pan and the rest of Fantasyland. You can see Minnies Christmas Party show, when the lines get too long.
Have a great vacation!
