Hello, My name is Alice Ruby, I am 10 years old. I live in Edinburgh in Scotland. Last summer we had the BEST holiday ever at Disney world Florida! We stayed for 14 days.

Meet the rest of my family.

He did not show much enthusiasm about Disney, but secretly he likes it (he has let us book again!)

I will post about our journey out and our arrival at the fantastic Saratoga Springs Hotel later..... What a holiday, and I am here to tell you all about it :cool1:

We woke up very early and very excitedly on Sunday the 31st of July 2011 very excited. There was chaos and squeals of excitement especially from mum! We got dressed had a brief breakfast and got our suite cases and got in the cramped car full of cases and us. It took 45 minutes to get there The flight was relaxing and fun fun fun! We flew on Virgin Atlantic. Wow that flight was the best! We watched movies and played games, the 8 hours went in a flash and there was no arguing between me and my brother:).

Going through immigration was quite quick, but a bit scared. The man looked at us for ages! Our suitcases came quickly and we struggled to get them up the stairs but a really nice airport lady helped us. We were worried we would have to tip her - we don't really tip people so much in Scotland and we didn't know what to do - but my mum tried to give her money and she wouldn't take it.

We got on the magical express with hardly any wait. It was great too. So far so good and before we knew it we had checked in to Saratoga springs. We had requested grandstand so were a bit disappointed to get a room in the springs but it turned out to e the best location ever, just next to the bus stop and just across from the pool and the artist's palette. The reception was luxury and a man gave my brother and I a whole strip of stickers each! It took a while to get it all sorted out with the bookings ect but in the reception was a place for kids to watch cartoons and movies so me and my brother watched some. Eventually we picked up our bags and walked to our room. We were on the third floor on a four floor apartments. We opened the door and wow a lovely room awaited. There was one double bed and a sofa bed. With a TV and a really nice bathroom. There on the bed was a towel shaped Micky:). We. Heard some loud fun filled music coming from outside. So we walked on the balcony and there was a big pool with a slide and a pool party with water balls and games! I begged my parents if we could go for a swim and they said after we have unpacked. But I asked again if I could go on my own and it was a yes. I ran out leaping and smileling. I walked up to a gate marked POOL so I attempted to open the gate but I coulden't. I kept trying and eventually a family came along so I steped away to let them in first ( actually to see how to open the gate ) and they opened the gate no problem! There was a big pool with a big water slide and 2 hot tubs. Music and games were being held but I was to shy to join in! I cannon balled into the pool and swam around :). Then I saw mum and dad and brother I jumped out and said I can't believe we are in Disney!

Later on after all the swimming and taning we went for a evening and dinner in Down town Disney. We didn't know we could walk so we took the bus but it took 15 minutes to arrive and 10 minutes to get there when it could of taken us 5 minutes to walk! So anyway at least we got there. We didn't know we're to eat I said how about the Rain Forest cafe so we went to reserve. But it would take an hour for the table to be ready because it was packed but anyway we went on and booked so we could look at the spectacular shops. We took a look at the world of Disney which was amazing. We had a lot of pocket money to spend but we saved it just incase. When the time came we returned to the restaurant for our dinner and a fun boncey waiter showed us our table. So we sat down and in 10 minutes or so we ordered our food. It was loud and fun inside. There were millions of birthdays when we were there and the cakes were volcanos with exploding candles:). I had a burger and chips ( kids size ) and my brother had a pasta with garlic bread. It was getting quit late by time we finished and my brother fell into his food because he was so tired! So we finished up and paied then left.Good first night.:)

Mum woke us up farely early the next morning so we could get in space mountain with no queue. So we got dressed and sun creamed up and left the apartment. We had breakfast at Artist Pallet. I was new to Disney and had no idea what food was available and what it looked liked inside Artist Pallet. So we walked in and the smell smelt heavenly and almost sort of peaceful. We found a seat and went up to order. I took a good glance at the menu and I could not choose. Then mum pointed out Mickey waffles and said that they are ment tobe fab! So I ordered them and so did everyone else.We did not have to pay because our dining plan was valud ooh fancey. We gobbled it up in a jippy. They were yum. Dad then said when he gets home h will go on a big diet. We all laughed nd said good luck on that. But he has done a pretty good job on that now!

So we left Artist Pallet ( go there it's fab!) and proceeded to th bus stop. We kept looking for the one that said Magic kindom but none did. They all said Epcot ,typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach. But finally a magic kindom bus arrived. We hopped on a took a seat. It was quiet but had a few other families. Mum had looked up when the best times to go to different parks and which were the most quiet. So after a 10 minute ride we got there. I pushed passed so I could get off first ( I am not that good at waiting!) So I ran to the bag inspections not knowing there was any and stopped. I was saying hurry mum I want to get the first shot of space mountain! I am always eager to get there first! So after the inspection we lined up to get in but then the welcome party thing came on and I unaware and I was gazing in wonder. So the count down begun 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and running and sounds of tickets could be heard. We sprinted to tomorrow land and to space mountain. I was in the one and only Disney world.

So there was another bit of a wait for tomorrow land to open but we eventually got in! We ran to space mountain I squealed a little and I was running ahead because I was so desperate. So we walked up the long corridors. So there was no wait and luckily enough w had a carriage to ourselves. It was one seat per person. So iwasn't a little scared but I am not usually:scared1:. It started to move nd blast off we were going fast fast fast:scared1: :and it was in the dark. The climbs to the falls were epic! Go on space mountain or else... :mad:

We wondered around and went on a few more rides all Disney quality ( which is spectacular as always.) We used up some snack credits at main street bakery for lunch. It was mmmmmmmm. We only went to fantasy land and tomorrow land because we were saving adventure and frountierland for other days. We took a few photopass shots and magic photopass shots too. We got some fab ones. We went to get fast pass for Winnie the Pooh and it said free fast pass for Mickeys Philarmagic which was outstandingly brill! :goodvibes. Especially the end...

We finished our day by taking the monorail to the Contempuary hotel to have our din at Chef Mickeys. It was a buffet with characters. It took a bit of a wait to get in but it was worth it. We got a family photo of us at the start. Really nice. The din overall fab. Desserts were yum in my tum! There was macaroni, pizza , chicken, cakes and much much more! Go there its fab 4 and a half stars. Well I am a kid and kids rule Disney!!!!!:goodvibes;)

So the next day we went to Epcot. We got up at the same time as yesterday to get to soarin. We coulden't walk so we took the bus and it came very quickly. It took about 10 minutes to get there. So we jumped off the bus and there was Epcot waiting for a busy day! We did the boring old bag inspection and waited for the opening. Finally it opened. We ran to Soarin not knowing where to go but luckley dad picked up a map on the way. So we ran and ran ( me running far ahead.) We still had a five minute wait for Soarin. We were on the Top seating bit. Wow Soarin was fab! It felt so real! Later on we picked up a Kim possible phone. It was good with all the puzzles and quests. We went on test track ( amazing!) mission space ( amazing too!) and loads more! All the rides in Epcot are very good. The one that is ok is properly Figments imagination. IRS good for youngsters but not 9 year olds like me. Well the end bits quit fun. After that I decided to get a Duffy bear from the Duffy bear shop. I love Duffy he is my fave! He is soo cute! I got a little pirate costume its soo cute!!
For dinner we went to the Biergarden. It is really nice and you get to share a table with other people. There are lots of sausages and they entertain you by dacing and music! Fun!! Good day!

If you make an account there and upload all your photos to the website, each photo will have a link on it. So the next day was my little brothers birthday! It was the 3rd of Augest. We went to animal kingdom. We had breakfast at tuska house. Donald duck and friends were there. He gave my brother a 3DS game. It took a little while to get in but it was totally worth it! There was tonnes of nice stuff like dounuts and hot fresh pancakes with chocolate pancakes and syrpe. Really nice! My brother got a card with all the signatures from the spectacular six! We Loved it! :cloud9: we were in hevan! After that. We wondered around and went on some rides. I went on exhibition everest it was soo fun! You went backwards and there was big drops! So after all the rides we used up 1 snack credit for a big funnel cake! It was so nice :cloud9:. It had powered sugar on it and we had one to share but it wasen't enough! We stayed for quit long and then went back to the hotel.

When we got back we left on the bus ( still not knowing we could walk ) and went to down town Disney. We went to Disney quest that night. We had dinner there. It wasen't that good the dinner but my mum thought it was quit nice but we wolden't rush back there. Disney quest is the best! Especilly for 5+ but some bits aren't good for that age but other bits are. I find it amazing!:goodvibes. We went to the bottom floor and saw art academy. We sat down on a seat and waited a wee bit. It said on a sign NEXT CLASS WILL BE DRAWING DONALD. Suddenly a woman came and said hello this is art academy and we will be drawing Donald Duck today. My name is Lucy and I will be teaching how to draw Donald. So as you can all see there is a computer like infrount of you. This is you drawing pad. Now I am going to hand you out these pens to you and do not put someone else pen or your board otherwise the board will break and go off. So please may you write your name where it says so. So we wrote our names. So let's begin.

Slides on a little tv came up and we were to copy them by drawing. So after a wee while we were done. I made an excellent one ( for me to say) and for a birthday treat we got to buy our pictures and get an exclusive art academy pin. I chose one with Pluto on it. :thumbsup2

The next day we went to my favourite park Hollywood studios! We got up and had breakfast at artists pallettle again. We always had Micky waffles and syrup mmm! So then we got the first bus we saw said Hollywood studios! So we grabbed a seat and it was very quiet. So when we got there I felt so excited. When we got off the bus we went through the boring bag inspection again and waited and waited in the hot hot hot burning sun for ever, or until rope drop anyway...........:sad2:

So we ran into the park like athletic runners trying to get to toy story mania. We weren't going to rockin rollin rollarcoster that day because we were staying in Pixar place and I think action place where star tours and muppet 3D vision was. There was little wait I.E 30 mins because of the popularity of it. So we eventually got to the front! Inside was soooo cool, all the big toys and all that! So when we got to our carridage it had wheezy on it ( my favourite toy story character.) There was 2 gns on each side of the cart. A red one and a blue one. I took the red one. We put our glasses on and the ride started:3dglasses:woohoo:

Hi Alice Ruby! You're doing a great job with your TR so far. Looks like you and your family had a great time. I just got back from a trip myself and hopefully will get to starting my TR tomorrow while it's snowing here in NY. I was traveling with my brother and my nephew who is just a year younger than you. I may have to get him to try the TR. He'd have to do alot of them though. He lives in FL a little over an hour away from Disney! He and his parents have annual passes and he does get to go alot!

Duffy is great! I got a little pirate outfit for him at the duffy shop in EPCOT it is sooooo cute. I met him!!!! :eek: Yes toy story... is fab! Yeah go to handy manny breakfast its delish!

So the car went twirling around and we enterd the try out bit. We shot the targets like mad seeing who could hit the most. I was competting agianest my mum. MUM VS ALICE Scary... The 4D FX were cool and fun! If you shot a ballon you would feel the air wizzing past you! It was OMG! Amazing:thumbsup2! For kids adults and seiours! I felt proud that I had won but mum won?! She was laughing at me as if I had done something stupid!:laughing:

So after that fun game we went to the muppet bit with star wars and all that. We first went on star tours. There was a bit of a wait but not too long. We went into a little pod and the fun ride started. We put our 3D glasses on. It was like you were actually there!! Amazing!! After the ride mum said it made her feel a littl sick. I mean I know what she ment because some bits were.

So we got off that ride and walked to The Muppets 3D vision.:3dglasses. We got a few pic at the marvellous muppet fountain. Then walked into the buliding. After the long :hourglass long :hourglass wait ( we got there quite early) the doors opened:):):):):)!!! So we got the best seat we could find because by now there was tons of people ( the muppets are very popular!) So we got a good seat in the end:yay::yay:! So then the muppets began! I can't give it all away but I can tell you it was super! Funny, more funny:rotfl2: and entertainingpopcorn::! Not just for us kids for everyone!

So after the show we went to see Sully:woohoo::thumbsup2! from the monsters inc, sadly Mike wasn't there.We waited in the queue for a wee while but not that long. Hi Guys did you know the new fantasy land is opening THIS summer! (2012) :):):):):):):):):):):):):)!Except the seven Dwarfs mine.. But the new be our guest restaurant is opening too! so after all that we went back to the hotel to relax have a swim. We went to Disney quest that night and had a snack there with our snack credits! Disney quest was amazing! :hyper:

so at disney quest was 5 floors of fun fun fun! To arcade games to build your own rollarcoasters!

I went on this ride there and it was called cyber space mountain andyou built a rollarcoaster hen you got ro ride it I buit a five star scaryness and then while I was upside down the ride stopped and I was on my own!:sad::sad:

But it was a fun experiance on the ride!

So next we went to an art anmation class and they were drawing donald. So we joined in! I did an mmmmm:worried: picture... At the end we cold buy the picture and you would get a rae pin! It was of a charater drawing a picture! I chose pluto!
