25days to go - Mickey hurry and take me away - snow/sick

Mickey - hurry up and take me away to the sunny tropics! I woke up to snow this morning - yuck yuck. Im dreaming of laying in the warm tropics while drinking my konk kooler! I need to come see you quick - Im getting a cold too.
Please oh please oh please hurry up and take me away! (well maybe some would take me to the funny farm - lol)

I seem to get sick every Nov / Dec.

While preparing for our early Dec 2000 trip, I implemented a "I WILL NOT GET SICK" regimen. (sp?)

Vitamin C (tablets & OJ)
Zinc
Humidifier
Wash hands constantly
Drink lots of water
Echonasia (sp?) LOL

Do everything possible NOW to make a full recovery so you don't relapse on trip. Get LOTS of rest & don't stress about stuff.

Also, since we were traveling DURING cold /flu season, I knew there would be lots of germs & sick people around, so I kept up the above while traveling. I DID NOT GET SICK!

Funny thing, I didn't do ANY of this for Sept 2001 trip & was sick for most of trip starting 3 days after we arrived. I think the recycled air on the plane did it to me.

TIP: pack your favorite non-drowsy cold medicine for daytime (Dayquil). Hotels seem to only stock drowsy formula. And the tissues are NOT soft. :(

BTW - Normally, I'm NOT a germ nut. Just when I've got a trip planned that I spent all this $ on. LOL
