Hey to my disney lovers! I just graduated college! :woohoo: and received a wonderful 6 night, 7day trip at JAMBO House and its my favorite! Yes I even liked it better than the poly. Don't get me wrong the poly has a lot going for it and i liked it a lot but it is not the one.

I'm 25 years old, new graduate (finally) with a Disney love, or passion, or obsession..something that no one quite understands. I am a 2007 Disney college program alumni. Magic kingdom and EPCOT are my favorite parks I cannot choose between them. If I had one day in Disney I would get a 1 day park hopper and go to both. I love all the characters but Mickey is the one! Ask anyone, I love mickey so much that when I was 16 my mom asked me,(spoiler for kids)

You know mickey is just someone in a costume! Why mama why? She was that concerned but he still has a special place in my heart. My favorite rides are expedition Everest and the people-mover!!!

my son is 2 years old and this was his 5th trip to Disney. His already on a bigger role than me but I have recently come to the conclusion that he will not be back till he is 4. He will miss out on the next one but November 2013 he will be back. I hope its not sad I already know the month and year till the next trip. While I do not know his favorites he enjoyed dumbo and IASW. His favorite characters are all from mickey's mouse club house and chuggington.

Mama is not a big Disney lover like me but she always wants to go and always the 1st person ready to go home. She enjoys herself and likes Disney a lot but not like me. My mama does not like to take pictures and would slap me silly if I put one up of her but she was there.

I love this boy. My family tells me all the time that Devyn will hate Disney because I love it so much and while I hope that is not the case at least I have my nephew. He is four and loves Disney world. I promise every time I see him he asks can we go to Disney world. TJ's favorite ride is soarin and his favorite character is Donald duck. This was the only character that he specifically asked to meet
We also were joined by my sister and the rest of her family till the 12th

So i thought i would start with the day before we left at my graduation/pinning. I know plenty of people graduate all the time but i worked really hard for this. Mechanical ventilation is the hardest class i have ever taken and learning how to not let people die is no easy task. The day started with getting my hair done and that took all morning. I had to be at school at 4pm to practice and i live an hour and half away so i had to leave a little early. I was so happy that this would be my last drive down. the ceremony was good and we had some food after and that was at. Here are a few pics.

My school is so small they only have a ceremony with the caps and gown once a year in may so this was our celebration. After the ceremony, we had a reception with hot wings, shrimp, and of course cake! I found my nephew and jumped with him because we were going to Disney world tomorrow!!

The next day started out a normal day. We had a late flight leaving at 5:47pm but like many others I still could not sleep the night before. My mom went to work that morning. My nephew was dropped off at my house after school and we waited for my mom to get home. We live about 40 min from the atl airport and we left home at 3:30. We always fly airtran and the flight was short and sweet. Devyn fell asleep halfway in the air and I studied. Yes I just graduated but I still needed to study for my boards. I have to take 3 tests in order to get certified and to work as a RRT, short for respiratory therapist. The flight down was great, easy, and calm unlike the trip home but that's for later. We landed on time at 7:15pm and went to Magical express. Our flights were changed numerous times with airtran so I asked my mom to sit while I went to the counter to get it changed. The lady that was greeting told me it did not matter that my flight had changed. I informed her that my time did not change but the flight number and I needed to have it changed so we would get picked up on time. I ignored her and went ahead and the guy informed me that I was correct because the flight number changed and I would only not have to worry about it when the departure times change with the same flight number because they keep up with that. Thank you to the dis for this information because we would have listened to that women and missed our flight because the new flight left 2 hours earlier than the previous. We proceeded to the line. our 1st night we were going to stay at all star movies and we waited only 2 minutes before boarding but we had to wait an additional 15 minutes before we left.

Along with the all star resorts, our bus made stops to CSR and AKL with us being the 4th stop. Check in was fine and simple. We were placed in building 1, 101 dalmatians in room 1736.

we where starving so we just threw in our carry on's and went to the food court. Mom and I both got the chicken nuggets and fries. We got it to go and ate in the room and enjoyed Stacey because a trip to Disney just is not right without watching Stacey at the beginning. An hour later my sister's flight had arrived. TJ would be staying with them while they were there and they came and got him. We went to sleep afterwords. I had no plans the next day. I originally wanted to go to universal but decided to save the money but got a surprise graduation gift from my sister's boyfriend.

Congrats again on your graduation, and good luck if you are still studying for boards. I am glad I never have to take the nursing boards again in my life because that was BRUTAL! It is such a relief when it is really all OVER!

Thank you and i am still studying! You are so lucky to be done with that. The worst part about respiratory is we have to take 3 test to become RRT. It sucks but must be done!

Dec 9th: 1st full day

I wanted to skip universal to save some money for my tests I got coming up. Mom and I decided this literally on the flight. I had no idea what we were going to do today. I thought about DTD until we went to check in at AKV. We decided to see what Dsis was up to. I wanted to sleep in and let's face it, that rarely happens in disney and if it does its toward the end not the beginning. I woke up at 9:35am packed up the one night things and got luggage service to pick up our bags and transfer them to AKV.
Dsis was in the lobby and they got tickets to go to mvmcp on the 11th. I was beyond excited when dsis bf said he would pay for me to go to universal for a graduation gift! I was shocked and so thankful. So after a stop to get some medicine for everyone cause everyone was sick we got a cab to universal at 11:20. The cab was 36 dollars each way but we saved a little than if we used mears transportation. We ate at BK at city walk and we went to universal first. Once we were in we met Lucy ball and scooby doo and shaggy.

our first ride was

it was NOT a success. Devyn cried before, during, and after the ride the whole time. It was a little to dark for him. The other 2 kids got through the 1st que until you go through the forest part to get to the ride. My Dsis had a hard time getting them through it but once we got to the ride, they enjoyed it.
We then went on the kiddie coaster, simpson's, MIB, and jaws. I was sad to hear that jaws was being shut down into a new attraction so im glad we stopped but we were told you will get wet! My family, we don't do getting wet, water rides, or water parks. We are people who like to stay dry especially the women when we get a fresh perm and our hair is all straight like it was never nappy.
Immediately, they said no but the kids wanted to go so I took them. We enjoyed it and none of us got wet so that was a plus.

Finally we stopped at the rip it coaster. Walking towards the ride TJ was certain he was going to ride it with his dad. We told him he was too little and he informed us that he was a big boy! At the ride he went under the height checker and we told him he could not ride it, he had a fit. This boy actually thought he was going to get on this

The cast members at the ride saw how bad he wanted to go and they gave him a pass. I do not have a pic of it but it basically said if they bring the pass back when he is tall enough he can ride it without waiting in line. I thought that was the best idea ever!
This was the last ride universal studios and we were finished with everything within 2- 3 hours without rushing. 20 till 4, we walked over to islands of adventure.

12/11?! We went to MVMCP on 12/11! Holy cow it was rainy!!!

AND we arrived on 12/9 to Pop..late evening though....

Yes it was very rainy from the beginning. my sister toughed it out. They enjoyed it but mainly went for the rides.

Poor TJ thinking he was going to be able to ride that big ride. :sad2: But, that was super nice of them to give him the pass to go back & not wait in line. :goodvibes

We're going in December this year...the same week that basically y'all were there. Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip!

It's cool that you got to go to Universal Studios, too. ET sounds like a tough one for little kids. Actually, all of Universal Studios sounds kind of tough for little kids. I'm sure there's a lot of cool rides there that they'd never get to go on.

We were on our way to islands of adventure and the main reason I wanted to go was to visit harry potter. . We made our way to suess landing 1st and did the highlights. Devyn was not a fan of the cat in the hat but he loves the trolly because it is a train. We got to ride shot gun!

after sues landing we made our way to hogsmeade The older people rode dueling dragons but I decieded to stay and look around and good thing to because they got stuck on it.

I was so excited about the ride. I loved the ride and how we started off flying until........................................( spoiler if you haven't rode. skip over the next paragraph)

I saw a giant spider! Aww!

I cannot even say/spell the word without freaking out!
My eyes were closed the rest of the ride and I was screaming, freaking out, like something was crawling all over me. Eww!
I quickly turned down the chance to ride again when we swapped with my mom and sister. Because I sad the “S” word my mom did not see any of the ride. She closed her eyes as soon as she got on. I felt kinda bad because the ride was great and I wish she would have at least seen part of it.
So, after the forbidden journey, Devyn and I stayed behind for the shops while everyone else went ahead. We saw the show in olivanders with a 20 minute wait, which was the longest wait for anything all day.

After that I got a frozen butterbeer and went to find everyone else. They were on the hulk and I saw my mom and Tj outside. Tj wanted to go on superman again! So, I went on it with him. They backtracked to the flyers in Jurassic park for the kids. Once the got off we made our way to the exit. I was so tired but so thankful for this since it was a gift and not going to happen. I was ready to get to our new room and enjoy Disney!

I am so sorry that the "s" ruined that ride for you. At least the lines were minimal.. I know from reading other TRs that latter in the month it got a bit crazy.

What a fun day! :goodvibes We love IoA! I'm a big Harry Potter fan & really think they did a good job with the theming. Although, I do wish the area was a bigger. So say, they will be expanding it. Just another reason to return! :lmao:

This is the end of day one, so this will be short.

We got a cab at universal and it dropped us off at AKL,roughly the same price as taking it from all star movies. It was so beautiful with that tree in the lobby. Unfortunately, we were tired and hungry, so we checked in and went straight to mara for dinner since we were on the dining plan. I did not get any pics because we ate quickly. Devyn and I shared the half chicken dinner, a coke, and I had to try the famous zebra domes for dessert. They were ok but i think i would have preferred just a plain mickey ice cream bar. Devyn enjoyed them more. Then we went to the room. We were were renting points and booked a standard studio. We ended up in room 5545 on the zebra trail,

one of the farthest rooms from the lobby and bus stops, which was the only drawback I had for this place but after the first 2 days, we got use to it.

I woke up the next day and the clock said 7:54am. I know this because I took a pic. The sun was out and I was able to finally get some picks of our view. I went outside and the 1st thing I see is a giraffe. I was so happy I was like a kid. I read that standard views at Jambo were all pool view so I was happy upon check in that we in fact did not have a pool outside but some animals.

The poly was the only other deluxe I have stayed at and we were on the 2nd floor so, no full balcony. I love having a balcony and a little bit of privacy. Having a savannah view made us use it more, including devyn. Devyn has a language impairment and goes to speech once a week so I was very happy that on this trip he learned a new word, ANIMATS, or animals in his case. He since then has corrected that but it was so cute I wanted to share it.

I was up early from everyone else. I manage to dress devyn without waking him up and decided to go see the resort while my mom was getting up and ready to go.

What a great day to be at IoA for Harry Potter! I have never seen pictures of it looking that uncrowded. I'm itching like crazy for the day we will be able to head over there to experience it.

Love the pics of AKL. What a beautiful resort! After listening to a podcast about the Mara from the DIS podcasters, DH and I are thinking of heading over there one afternoon to check out the resort.

Your rooms looks so pretty! And so does the rest of the resort! I think I would really enjoy staying there & being able to see the animals from my balcony.

Isn't it hard sometimes to correct your son when he says things wrong? I know when Reid does it, it can be so darn cute. :goodvibes But, I do end up correcting him so he doesn't go on trying to say it wrong. :laughing: The one word that Reid always struggles with is "ridiculous". Our park for the day was AK with side trips to HS and EPT. It was my sisters only full disney day and they went to MVMCP the next day so we hopped with them today. Once I got back to the room, devyn was up and enjoying the view

I loved seeing the Christmas decorations and one thing that got my eye was before each character trail there was a tree that represented each character but I only got a pic of donald's.

I've got bad news for you...

You may now be ruined for life. ;) I stayed at AKL last year, for my first visit since childhood, and I don' think I'll ever be able to be really happy in any other resort. I'm sure I'd see the buses headed for AKL and long to be on them. I'd gaze out the windows and wonder where the giraffes are. The pool at night after a long day at the park... The smell of the lobby... The fire pits and rocking chairs... I'm ruined.

We even stayed one night at the Poly last time, and it was beautiful! But it was no AKL. It's a masterpiece.

The room looks great! I have stayed at The Beach Club, The Boardwalk, The Caribbean Beach and Pop Century, but never Animal Kingdom Lodge. It looks fab though! I would love to try it. Would you recommend it?

I think you should definitely try it. I loved it and it was not to crowded because people do not visit it as much as the monorail resort. If you stay, the only thing i suggest is to request a room close to transportation. If you are far off like we were the walk back after a long day can be exhausting. I would love to stay at the beach club and boardwalk, i just cannot get myself to pay that much when we are not in the room as much but one summer, i will and take advantage of the pools in the hot weather with a side visit to AKl of course.

So, I last left off we were on our way to see the FOTLK, also known as the festival of the lion king. It was amazing as usual and very exciting for my mom who saw it for the 1st time. After that we went and ate lunch at flame tree BBQ. One day I will try another place to eat at AK but for now it is my favorite:thumbsup2. You will notice throughout this TR that I lacked on the food porn because I ate so quick and forgot to take the pic. I had the rib and chicken combo to share with devyn and I got a side of fires using one snack credit because my baby loves FRIES!
After lunch we went to expedition Everest. I had to ride solo but that was fine because the single rider line was a very short wait of two minutes and I had a nice ride with a group of young adults. We decided to skip nemo this time and went over to dinoland to ride the dinosaurs and meet some more Disney friends

We meet with my sister and we all hopped to HS. The line was a mile long when we got there and we ended up waiting a little over 35 min for a bus.

we did not stay long. we went over to honey i shrunk the kids playground and star tours. Devyn was not tall enough but i rode it the 2nd go round after my nephew told me how much he loved it. Just a side note, Devyn had a check up today and he is 37 inches tall. He is almost tall enough to ride some good rides at Disney:banana:

my mom, devyn, and I left MGM because we had an early dinner ADR. We arrived right on time for our 5:25 ADR at cape may cafe. IT took about 10 min for us to be seated because they were just opening and there was a lot of people waiting, so we took the time to look around.

We left full and satisfied and will definitely be back. I would also like to come back there for breakfast one day.

Since we were there, we decided to take a walk over to international gateway. It suddenly got very cold outside, so we went to mousegear and I got devyn a EPCOT sweatshirt. That I do not have a pic of, sorry. Im starting to think im really bad at this . We were going to stay for illuminations but decided to go back to the resort. We stopped at the gift shop and got some milk for Devyn and went back to the room. The rest of the night was uneventful. Devyn got his bath as well as I and we were bed by 10pm. I know you may be thinking, who goes to bed that early in disney. The answer is me after I started to bring my son. :goodvibes
This was a good thing. We were going to MK tomorrow and they were opening at 8am instead of 9am. Did we make rope drop? We shall see!

The area we were in was very private. It was a room separated by double doors away from the buffet and other tables, like a private party room

I have been so busy lately, i have been slacking on here. Anyone with a TR, I am reading and will eventually catch up and comment. Last monday, I finally took my final test and i am finally a registered respiratory therapist!

I am so happy to be done and i have been applying for jobs all week but nothing yet but i hope to get something soon. It is more difficult being a new grad when everyone wants experience but i will keep hope alive. Ok so lets get back to this TR.

After a stream of crab legs the night before and an early bedtime.We woke up to a wake up call at 615am to make it to rope drop at 8am. It was not EMH just some extended hours. In my excitement to visit MK, I got dressed fast and managed to see the sun rise.

We managed to arrive at the gate in plenty of time and did the dumbo dash like many other people. We ended up on the 2nd ride of the day. Not too bad.

We then walked right on peter pan, followed by IASW, winnie the pooh, the tea cups and took pics with the white rabbit. We went over to tomorrowland and got on the speedway, Buzz, I got a ride alone on space mountain while mom and devyn rode the people mover. We then went to astro orbitor, and the people mover again. It was so empty that morning, we were literally walking on all these rides. The only thing that had a wait was 10 minutes for space mountain, which was basically how long it takes to get to the ride.
It was still early, so we went over to adventureland where we rode POTC and the carpets, and finally meeting pirate goofy. All this before lunch, which we had early. Here are some pics from the morning.

Continued from last post....

Somehow the next page in my travel journal disappeared! While i remember the events the details, im going by my head so here goes.....

Mom and i did not have breakfast, so we decided to go have lunch around 11am. I read a lot about Pecos bill and decided to ditch our usual Columbia harbor house and go there. This time I got pics but they came out dark. Boo me. NO luck. I had the taco salad and my mom had the deluxe cheeseburger. We both got cokes and strawberry yogurt for desert. The food was good but because I do not like burgers I may not come back here to often unless in craving for a taco salad. I would, however, want to come back and try the wrap because our neighbors at the next table had them and they looked so good and they were huge. Devyn has some of mom's fries and some of my taco salad but he did not eat much. I bought a gerber graduate meal with us because I was not sure how he would eat and so we left and went to the baby care center to warm it up. And because Devyn loves train, we chose that as our mode of transportation.
We got to mainstreet and got off.
Before we got to the center, we were distracted by this group of people and devyn liked it because it was on a track.

The sung and danced it out on main street. It was very cute. Then we were distracted again by the street party coming up the street and devyn cried when I tried to avoid it and go in the store. He wanted to see it, so we did. We finally got to the baby care center to get his meal. After he was full we went back to tomorrowland and rode the people mover twice. It is my favorite after all and devyn loves it cause it is just another train!

We went to find a spot for the 3o'clock parade.

This is very true statement many people ask from people who worked there when I was a CP. We sat next to a nice family with two boys who were older but very friendly to devyn. I love chating with other families at disney. Devyn had a small photoshoot while we were waiting.

I loved how devyn waved at every one passing by that I barely got any pics except for him. There was a little girl sitting beside us who yelled at every princess. she was so cute and at the end of the parade she finally got one princess, belle, to look at here and wave.

We went to the stores on main street but did not buy anything. This time at least. We meet up with my sister and her family. They had tickets to MVMCP and were in the door at 4pm

We hung with them for a while riding until it was time for our ADR. Soon after it started to rain cats and dogs. It had been beautiful all day and it put a bummer on things. Our last ride was snow white and we left for our 6:30pm ADR.

I love the view from your room at AKL. The resort looks beautiful and makes me even more excited to stay there in a few weeks.

Devyn looks like he was having so much fun at the parade. It's nice when they enjoy themselves at Disney.

I know! You are so close! I hope you enjoy it as much as i did. I kind of wish i spent more time just in my room and around the resort.

We were going to ohana. A first for all of us. I thought we could save a little time since it was on the monorail but when we left I noticed a very long line on the resort side. Apparently, the monorail was having technical difficulties. The line was moving but I realized it was because people were leaving and using the boat. However, a train finally came and we made it to our ADR only 7 minutes late. We were seated very quickly. By the time I came out the bathroom our timer went off. And of coarse devyn had fallen asleep. I was really excited about this meal with all the good reviews and people seem to enjoy it. Since I was celebrating, I went all out and got a lapu lapu.

It was good but nothing I would pay another 13 dollars for again. As for the meal, our waiter was extremely nice. I really wanted devyn to eat something so I tried to wake him up. That was A big MISTAKE. He woke but was in a very bad mood. I will not do that again. He ate a few bites, cried, and fell out so I just let him try to go back to sleep. As for the food, mom and I did NOT like it. The bread was the best thing. The meat was tuff and the steak was not cooked well as we like it. The wings and noodles were not good because they were a little cold. We really rushed through the meal because devyn was having a fit. Im sure devyn acting out was my fault for waking him and put a bad mood on the meal so one day we will try it again and take our time and ask for more on the next time around. We took the monorail back to mk and got the bus to AKL. First, I wanted to show mom were we stayed when devyn and I were there in dec of 2010. I just showed her the building. I did not go inside. Thanks amanda, we will be sure to try it again but probably not till next year. Now i know how other parents fell when their children act out. I felt so bad for the people around us.:guilty:

Today my sister was leaving and TJ was staying with us. We woke up or I woke up to the alarm at 7:45 am. The morning was the same, get dressed, feed devyn, and take my morning pictures on the balcony. I seriously could not get enough of this.

Our park for the day was HS. We did not make rope drop but arrived 20 minutes after 9. We, of course, 1st went to get fast passes for TSM and we got a return time for 11:50 to 12:50. After we got them, we went to go in line to meet Phineas and ferb. Devyn actually likes that show and is currently singing or trying to sing the theme song when it comes on. I knew they were meeting at 10:00 and the last time I was there the line was always so long so we hurried over there and were the 3rd group in line. They managed to come out 10 minutes late and the line had grown by then but we were quick.

This is when the rain started. It was very hard and makes me sad. However, we were leaving anyway. It was 10:30 and we caught the bus, not AKV, but to all star movies. We arrived and my sister was all checked out and they were in the food court. When it was time for them to catch magical express, we said our good bye's and we went back to HS with TJ in hand. We had already had him on our reservation before his mom decided to go so he was able to stay.
Our first stop was to use the TSM fastpasses but not before taking a few photopass pics....

We only rode TSM once the entire trip because of those wait times. Luckily, we went with a fast pass that we got first thing...so hardly a wait. But yes, :eek: can you believe those times? We saw quite a few over 2 hours!!!

We found ourselves over at star tours. TJ loved this ride the other day so mom and I child swapped this time, only to realize we did not need the child swap because the ride was a walk on. When they got back the 2nd time around it was close to 2:30 and we were hungry so we ate lunch at the nearest place, backlot express. Devyn and I shared the chicken fingers and got the marble cheesecake for dessert. Of course, I got NO pics again.
We were able to get seats next to a door where the parade started and no one is the corner but some Disney managers. We had our own little private parade spot across from where they do the Jedi training. I so wish I had a picture to show cause it was the perfect spot. So perfect that my mom stayed inside in her seat and saw the whole parade. They even piped in the music in there.
After we were full and the parade crowds were gone, It started to drizzle again. We made our way over to see the Disney junior show, followed by the magic of Disney animation. My mom is so great, while I was in the animation class drawing this baby

We soon left and decided to skip little mermaid this time and went to the great movie ride, followed by my absolutely, positively favorite movie and show of all time.
Beauty and the beast. It was ABC Family last week.! We got the last show at 5:45 and went to see the Osborne lights after that. Amazing, can you believe I have never seen them. It was quick though.

We went to get the bus back to AKV. I did some studying for my boards while the boys watched TV. We went to Mara for dinner. I got the chicken Pita, it was soo good, I loved it. We also found out that I could get a mickey cookies and cream ice cream bar like in the parks for dessert. I decided to save it for later and put it in the freezer. I should have ate it then. We went to bed so we could get up early for EMH and our last full day.

We managed to arrive at 8:25 am and went straight to get some soarin fastpases.
Immediately when we walk into the park, Tj asked me,
“ Teetee, can we ride the globe train?”

Imagine my confusion and then it hit me.
He meant spaceship earth. I couldn't believe that he remembered that from our last trip in may and it was just so cute. It was on a track and was like a train and in a globe, hence why he called it globe train. I told him we would come back after we ride the flying ride. Another one of his favorites.
We rode standby for the wait was only 10 minutes and we were able to do the child swap. So TJ rode twice. I went to sunshine seasons to get devyn some eggs for breakfast while waiting for my mom and TJ. We left the land and went to test track. Tj has never rode this before so I was excited for him. The wait said 10 minutes but we walked right on.

We left and went to the seas to ride nemo. Kind of boring but not for the kiddos. I love how they are fascinated with every little thing including the escalator up to view the tanks.

We went back to the land and rode Living with the land

Then, we used the child swap again while using our fastpasses we got for soarin. So if you count that, that was 4 times TJ got to ride. He loves that ride and devyn is so close to 40 inches. Another first for us. We love our hibachi back home. Its good food and not expensive. The service here was excellent and so was the food. I head the steak and chicken and my mom had the chicken and shrimp. TJ had the kids chicken and devyn missed out because he fell asleep before we got the food. He did manage to get some chop sticks.

I can't believe you are already to your last day! Seems like y'all were able to get a lot done though. :thumbsup2 And I love your Jiminy Cricket. I'm hoping since my parents will be with us in October, DH and I can do at least one animation class. We really love them!

After lunch, we went downstairs and I went to pick a pearl. This was my 1st time and it was so cute. I do not know why I did not get any pics but it was a 7 inch pearl and it is tucked away in my jewelery box. Our next step was to go back to the hotel and take a rest and start packing. Im so sad at this point.
However, the cutest thing happened on our way back. We where waiting taking the friendship boats back. While we where wating TJ and Devyn were very fascinated by the ducks. TJ asked the cutest thing.
“Why the duck don't have his shoes on?”
My mom told him because shoes are for people, so TJ asked her,
"they don't make duck shoes?"

This is where I start to get lazy. My notes skipped this break until we get back to epcot. I know that we came back, packed a little, and I went wondering around the hotel wishing that we could stay longer. Anyway, so lets skip to 4pm. We headed back to epcot and rode the globe train. Then we went straight to character connection. TJ specifically asked to meet donald duck and this was it. The wait was 30 minutes but it was for the kids and we had pretty much done everything this morning. Here are some pictures.

At 7pm, we went back to the land. We had an ADR for Garden Grill.

Can you say excited? I am the one that loves character meals. They told us they were running behind and boy were they. Our ADR was 7:35 and we got seated 30 mintues later.

Besides the wait,
Everything good about this restaurant is true. The food was good and the character interaction was fabulous. For them to be so far behind, the characters took their time and were able to see us 3 times. Of course, i ate so fast I did not take pictures. The salad was actually my favorite and im a big girl as in chunky, who does not like the taste of salad but it was so good. It must have been the dressing. We got to see pluto, chip and dale, and farmer mickey.

I really wanted devyn to eat something so I tried to wake him up. That was A big MISTAKE. He woke but was in a very bad mood. I will not do that again. He ate a few bites, cried, and fell out so I just let him try to go back to sleep.

It must be something about the Poly haha. My DS 3 got off the bus after falling asleep on the ride over to our Spirit of Aloha meal. He was groggy and it took a bit to wake him to get off the bus be he eventually did. We were the last off, the driver had to wait for us a bit but was REALLY nice about it. I told DS to say thank you as we were standing on the curb, but grumpy butt didn't wanna say a thing he just stared so I thanked him again for him, he closed the doors and drove off. ALL HELL BROKE LOSE cuz DS wanted to say THANK YOU! :scared1: I couldn't get the kid to MOVE! We were on time when we got there and wound up being VERY VERY LATE! He had such a huge fit we made it to the lobby in about 20 minutes where he STILL had to calm down. Nana had to run to the back where the luau was to tell em we were there (we didn't want to lose our ressies as I had already PAID for them and it said after 15 min you're late!). While she was doing that, he finally calmed down so we started heading back to the luau. Little did I know she headed back to the lobby on a different path and while we were doing so, the heavens opened up and we got soaked. Couldn't read signs because we couldn't see (came on too fast to even get any umbrealla or rain coat out of our bags!). DS and I get back there to find Nana went to meet us in the lobby (oh man, she's gonna be MAAAAAD :rolleyes1 ). As it turned out we had to have our seating moved anyways because of the storm that came in, Nana finally made it back, they had to cancel the show (we did get half our money back but still got a great meal at least!). Luckily after that major wakeup meltdown at least DS finally found a happy place, but OH what a night! What a memorable night- and yeh I know better than to wake the sleeping prince, too hahaha :rotfl2:
