2-way radios

We need to purchase 2-way radios for vacation. Sam's Club has a set of Bell 2-way radios which includes headsets, charger for $59.95. We purchased these but the reception doesn't seem too clear. Would we better off buying Motorola or other brand?

I have a set of Motorola FR60. These are great. I would highly recommend them. They have great reception and a 2 mile radius. They also have over 500 channels. Less interference with other 2-way radios. I think these would work great at USF and IOA.
