I QUIT SMOKING !!!!!!!!! I'm so happy. On a recent dr. visit I told him I was going to quit smoking on my WDW vacation and he begged me not to do it then because he was afraid I'd be miserable and give up. So I cut back for a week and then quit for good 10/31. I leave for WDW 11/9. So far, so good. I'm using patches and they really help. For once I won't need to look for a smoking section for repeated breaks. Wish me well.:Pinkbounc

That is really good. A friend of mine stopped smoking about 3 weeks ago and he says he's never felt better. He's in his 70's and smoked all his life.

He had a cancer scare and quit cold turkey.

I wish you tons of luck and more tons of fun at WDW. :)

Thanks. I'm 39 and smoked for more than 20 years. That's hard to believe. I already feel so much better. One more thing, if I can do this, anyone can! I've never been motivated to quit because I didn't think I could, but it's great. I sat in the dr's office with DD for 2 hrs. yesterday and didn't need to go outside in the cold for a smoke. That's freedom.

Both my grandfathers died from ephysema (sp?), it was horrible to watch. Good luck, you can do it!! Think of all the money you will save for your trip.

Kicking an addiction is super-tough, please don't get discouraged if you 'stumble' (not that your're going to, just in case)

My nephew just quit about 3 months ago, I told him on his 1 year smoke-free anniversary I would take him and his family to dinner to celebrate!

Thanks so much for the support. Today the excitement has worn off and I just feel TORMENTED. I will not give up, though. My health is exceptionally good except for the fact that I was smoking and opening myself up to every horrible disease known to mankind. I've given up before, but I'm truly dedicated to this. I'll keep you all posted. I think this is going to be a longer process to stay smoke free than I had expected. By the way, I've washed down all my wallpaper, had my car cleaned top to bottom, washed all linens possible, sprayed fabric refresher on the furniture and threw out every ashtray. I'm not going to mess up all that work................
