We booked a June 2003 cruise through a AAA TA.

We are also CASTAWAY CLUB members. (2 adults & 2 children)

How do we get the $50 onboard credit?

The $50 on board credit is currently being offered by "The Disney Club". You have to be a member to get the credit. A membership costs approximately $39 for one year. It should be note that "The Disney Club" as we know will cease in operation as od December 31st, 2003 and no new memberships will be accepted from December 12th, 2002.

There are other benefits available through the Diney Club such as resort discounts and Disney store discounts.

I've had the card now for 2 yrs and it has more than paid for itself.

There has been in the past a $50 credit for new to DCL folks, and you used to get a postcard from someone who previously sailed DCL with a code of REF to get this credit.

In order to get the stateroom credit on a return cruise, you must book on board...

of course things could have changed, but that is how i understand that to work.

pgesler,

The DC membership only entitles you to 1- $50 credit per stateroom. If you have numerous staterooms each room gets the credit.

I hope this answers your question.

What is the benefit of belonging to the CASTAWAY CLUB?

You do not sign up for Castaway Club. You get it automatically when you cruise on DCL. When you go on another cruise they give you a gift in your stateroom. Right now its a DCL towel (again only 1 per stateroom) and an invitation to a party. Free food and drinks. meet the Capt etc. There is also a special checkin counter for members.

I do believe that is all they are offering at the present time.
