Hotel while solo [Archive] - The DIS Discussion Forums

I will be in L.A. for business in early December and I thought, how fun to go to DL by myself. I can check it out for my husband and three year old son. What would be a little above average and very safe hotel within walking distance to DL for a woman by herself? I'm adventureous, but cautious. I would love to stay onsite, but the hotels seem pretty expensive. I'm trying to stay between $100 - 125 a night. Thanks.

I like the Howard Johnson's, which is probably around $70-$80/night. It's reasonably priced, walking distance (plus a trolley to the parks), and has interior hallways.

I think the Sheraton fits within your price range, but I'm not sure if it's walking distance. I've heard great things about it too though.

I like the Howard Johnson ($59-89) and the Candy Cane Inn ($79-99). The closest hotel to walk to is the Best wwestern Park Place Inn ( $69-89). You can book a place and then check Expedia the week before you go as sometimes the Disney hotels go for reduced rates. Check daily as the specials come and go.
