Holy Hana..... SSB had no idea when growing up.... when DM refered to me "Screeming Like a Banshee" ...

SSB always thought was a indian warrior or the like... but NO!!!

EEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!

Banshees

There's only one thing most of us know about banshees: They scream. But what are they?

I'll tell you. Banshees ("women of the hills" in Gaelic) come out of Irish folklore. They're women who died in childbirth and are doomed to spend the remaining years of their allotted span near deserted streams, washing blood from the grave garments of those who are about to die.

The banshee's scream is more of a wail. If you hear it, someone in your family is about to die.

My Grandmother is from Ireland and would tell my son stories of the Banshees, he loved her stories, but I don't even think she knew what they were, thanks for the story.

Sometime rent Darby O'Gill and the Little People. There are banshees and the death carriage in it. Much like my grandmother's stories from Ireland as well. Disney channel used to show this every year at St. Patty's day and Halloween time. But, alas no more of the good old movies.
