I have used Ken twice in the past and have had excellent experiences with him. He quoted me again for next year and his price is 700 more than vacation strategy.com

Has anyone used them before? just curious why such a
difference in price.
thanks

Probably the difference in the Wyndham ownership types they manage/rent. I believe that Strategy rents points exclusively for high point owners. Ken and Denise appear to rent a variety of ownerships, including both low point owners as well as presidential and platinums.
Both seem like reliable sources. Go with the one that can cover your dates of choice.
Bonnet creek is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.
Have fun! :thumbsup2

We just rented from Vacation Strategy and got a great rate for a presidential for Thanksgiving week. We like their deposit / booking policy. have to wait til Nov. to see if we are happy with how it all works out!

I agree that the selling point for us was Vacation Strategy's return policy. We just booked a 3 bdrm presidential for 9 nights 12/28/12-1/6/13. I wanted the flexibility of being able to change my plans if I had to, but the security of knowing we have booked what we wanted at a fantastic rate.

We have used Vacation Upgrades, but friends used Vacaton Strategy and had good results. Since you know you will at BC, go with the best price. I always feel if fellow Dis'ers endorse it's safe and reliable.

I had the same question. Love vacation upgrades, but Vacation Strategy can do it for less. Other Disers seem very satisfied with both, so I guess it's a matter of trusting soemone new. BTW, Hi Katello! I don't know if you remember me, but you left us a wonderful pay it forward, prior to paying it forward bins were in! I just want to thank you again. It is so nice knowing that you are still enjoying the magic!

Hi 2wins! I do remember. Just think, that was probably the very first Pay It Forward (except it was a bag)!! It's such a fun thing to participate with. Take care.

Can you let me know how much you are paying a night?

If I may be so bold -- we are looking to do the same at BC for almost your exact dates - did you find them reasonable? We've never stayed there before...

What do you think?

Can anyone tell me how to book with strategy? I went to their website but I do not see what units they have available, a place to select my dates, etc.

I went there, seems you have to contact them - via email, which I did and they get back to you!

I am also thinking of renting through vacation strategy; I went through VRBO and they emailed me back within an hour. I'm still waiting on a quote from Vacation upgrades so I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone actually been there and back using Vacation Strategy? I don't know why I am so concerned....I would just like to hear from a fellow Disser who has completed their trip.

If you check the We Looove Bonnet Creek thread I think you will find some who have used Vacation Strategy and returned from their trips. Also, it seems from their website they began renting only a year ago, in January 2011, which means they would have fewer past users.

I have used vacation upgrades and was very happy with Ken and Denise Price. But since I read about Vacation strategies here, I tried them. I e- mailed them twice and never got a response. So I am sticking with Jen and Denise. I just booked for a week in June. $200/ night for a 2 bed deluxe. The rate will be $80 less/night if he can re-book 60 days out.

I just booked with vacation strategy for June. They emailed me back within an hour with a price quote of $1095 for a two bedroom for 7 nights, which was too good to pass up. Now to just count down the days :)

Me2, Not for June though - for December over the holidays - shocking the price would be the same for June and December (Christmas)..

Fishy?

I got quoted the same for ten nights for a 3 bedroom. Weird?

Vacation Upgrades list the June and December as Peak Season, $200 a night, the same price. So I hope it is not fishy!

I just emailed back Ken Price regarding the price I rec'd from Strategy, I haven't heard back from him. Mentioned I rec'd a cheaper price from them than him, same room - same dates.. We will see.
