Hey everyone and welcome to my trip report!! We just returned 4 days ago from 7 days and 8 nights at Pop, a birthday trip for our daughter Lila. We had a great time and as usual, I took a ton of pictures. We had the regular dining plan this trip, so we were able to try out some of the restaurants and character meals we heard so much about here on the Disboards. I will give you my totally honest opinion on them all. Some of it might surprise you!
So let me start off by saying I never got any "pre trip" pics of the family so I'll just have to introduce as we go along. We left pretty early on the morning of the 13th. It was still dark and we were all still half asleep and in jammas, so unfortunately I didnt snap a ton of pictures. Plus this being our second drive down, it didnt quite have the excitement it did the first go round...since we knew what kind of drive we had ahead of us. We were equipped with snack, dvd players and cow running, our scavenger hunt.

Chase, on the left is 6. He loves pirates and adventure. POTC is his favorite Disney movie, and hes generally pretty easy going on rides, but refuses to go on stitches great escape. refuses.
Cole on the right is 5 and the daredevil of the group. Loves rollercoasters and actually pouted last year at the age of 4 when he couldnt go on Expedition Everest. He rode ToT about 5 times and even convinced ME that it wasnt scary and to get on it.

This is Chris, our driver, dad, husband, jack of all trades extraordinaire. Biggest Eagles fan youll ever meet.
And heres me, Claire

I look pretty put together and sane here....we were only about 2 hours in at this point! hahaha

Lila is 3 and this was her birthday trip, so 2 at the time. Shes a huge tangled fan, with her "sister" Cinderella following a close second.

Rowans our baby. He hated Disney last time as he was a colicky 3 month old, but we were hoping this go round he might take to it a little better.
I'll come back to the rest of the children later.
Like I said earlier, this being our second drive from Pennsylvania to WDW, it lacked a bit of the excitement it had on our first trip, so naturally I took less pictures than I did last time, however, as I am sure you can imagine, it went something like this:
trees
trees
waffle house
cracker barrel
more trees
super 8
trees again
and so on....

you get the point.
we finally stopped around 7 pm at the econo lodge in Kingsboro GA. I was actually impressed with how nice it was for $50 per room per night. It had a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, etc. It was super clean too which was most important to me. We ran to the local Winn Dixie (haha, I love the name, we dont have them near us) and got some pre made hoagies. We loved all the people, all so friendly and courteous. (Philadelphia could learn a few things *cough*) although no one knew what a hoagie was when we were looking for them. Everyone was happy to relax and get a fresh start for the next day.

On the right in the above pic is Kyle. He's 4 and loves the movie Brother Bear. Hes a sweetheart who was too small to go on much last year other than the kiddie rides. I know he was looking forward to being a bigger bear this year!

The next morning we were up by 7 and headed back on the road. It was a beautiful but chilly morning. I was worried it wouldnt warm up by the time we got to Orlando, since we were about 10 minutes from the Florida border and still in coats!
http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb232/lilleyofthevalley/disney32011017.jpg
We made the 3 hour trek down 95, and then the "what felt like 3 hour" trip down 4.

And then, what I am convinced I will see when I die and go to heaven:

Obviously our anticipation was off the charts at this point. It was nearly 11 at this point after a rest stop break right before WDW. We were heading right to POP to see if we could check in early.

The kids and I waited in the car while Chris went in to see if our rooms were ready.

Do we look worn out from hours of being cooped into a van with each other or what? lol
Front middle with his knees up is Jake. Hes 12 and likes most all Disney movies and parks. Hes not much of a ride person but loves to pin trade and take in the scenery.
In back with the black hat is Christopher, our oldest. he's 13 and his dads sidekick when it comes to all the "big" rides. hes an adrenaline junkie, part time pin collector and a real Disney foodie in the making!!
The lovely Victoria Rose is kinda covering her face in the back, but youll see later just how pretty my lady is. She has all the innocence of Disney inside her 10 year old body. She loves princesses and fairy tales, dressing up and wearing Mickey ears and my heart just bursts at how proud I am of her gentle, loving soul.
Well upon dads return, we found out one of our rooms was ready. He also returned with 3 flowers, one for each girl. I thought that was just the sweetest thing. We headed over to the parking lot, and got down to business unpacking the car.

I had called in a few days prior and requested building 3 of the 50s section, lake side, 4th floor. We got building 3, 50s section, lake side, 3rd floor, and that was good enough for me! I was very happy to get just about exactly what we asked! I did take the time to get some pictures of AoA, because I think its going to be an awesome resort. Value, not so much. We would actually pay less for our family at a moderate next year than at AoA, which bummed me out, since I had really wanted to stay there...before the rates came out! lol

By the time we made it to our room, the other was finished as well. After unloading, dad and the kids promptly changed into bathing suits and left me to unpack!! Up next, our room and dinner at Hoop Dee Doo!!
