Hi, We just booked our second cruise and we're really excited!
I have three children a 14yr old dd, 9yr old dd and a 13 yr old ds. We are wondering if there is any one else their ages going on this cruise that they could meet. We went on the eastern cruise two years ago that we enjoyed and would like to meet more people. We are form New Jersey so if there is any one from here we would love to meet you aboard

We are very excited about going. It is also our second cruise and our first 7 day one. After our cruise we will be going to WDW and staying at BCV for 5 days. We can't wait. And we are also from New Jersey. Hope to meet you there.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Michele where in New Jersey are you from? we're from Cranford
This is our second cruise but it feels like our first cuz im just so excited I know nobody with teens are going so far but does any1 know any thing about the teen room cuz i feel scared to go since i was 12 when i first went and my birthday was a few days away so i was one of the older ones
jrabbit my brother was wondering if your DS was going with the teens or 10-12s cuz he's turning 13 in may so he wants to stay down ( He liked it last time we went with the 10-12's too)
I think we should also meet aboard but we can think more of that when the time comes

KaRi,
Although I haven't seen exactly another 14 girl there are already a number of teens around that age. My daughter will be 13 plus when we sail and son 15. Saw others in the same bracket. Chin up...a couple months ago no one was on the boards for the cruise and my daughter was afraid she'd be the "only" one onboard!

Hey this is CBaggs daughter Kari again
Deb has your family been on any disney cruise before?
if not then your DD or DS can talk to me if they have aol or aim my email is Lbertygrl@aol.com and thats my screen name 2 i would like 2 talk to them if they're going 2 go to common grouinds and maybe we can meet. My last cruise i talked to a boy from California who i met in the fist 10 minutes that i was at Port Caneveral. I thought that was pretty weird since there were so many people there andi thought it was him when i got upstairs.

My 15 (almost 16 by then) is a boy - he isn't complaining about finding out there will be girls his age. Such a new stage to adjust to. Actually he doesn't say much just sits, grins, and then says maybe I will wear a tux for formal nights.

We just took a 3 day at the end of August. There were plenty of kids in your son's age range. I'm sure there will be plenty on the June cruise. My cousin (15) is planning on going to common grounds this time. You never know...they might meet.

Christy im so excited that there will be another girl my age going. i'll almost be 15 by the cruise but it's still cool. I'll be at common grounds alot so may be i'll meet her there.
Does any one know when things happen at Common Grounds during dinner because our last cruise we had the late diner seating and everything in the Oceneer Lab happened during our dinner. My parents tried to get the early seating but i guess it's just to poppuar.

Hi 6/21/03 Cruisers!!
Isn't it great to see our date posted :). It really fuels my excitement and anticipation. I love the planning stages and all the options available for us. My DD will almost be 8 (July 2 birthday) when we cruise and loves to make new friends.
Maybe we could keep this thread alive for the next 7 months ..lol.

Hi Kari,
Thanks for reviving our thread :). I also drive my friends and family crazy talking about our cruise. I just can't help myself but they just don't get it. It's funny because I'm not usually so obsessive about things.
Now I'm really excited because after much prodding from myself and DD (7) my mother has finally agreed to cruise. She has never been anywhere and I just can't wait to share the magic with her. So before our June 03 cruise we will be doing a jaunt on the Wonder (just the girls). I am going to see about getting us on the DVC member cruise in February.
Keep the posts coming. Bye for now.

Kari (CBAGGS DD) --- my son, Matt, is looking forward to the Common Grounds next June. Like your brother, Matt is also turning 13 in May (on May 13)! Sounds like we have 2 new friends! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
I'm getting ready to move to a new home next week (I was hoping the move would take place a month ago!). I'm hoping to have my computer up and running by the end of next week, if everything goes well!

12-09-2002, 06:06 AM
It is too early to book excursions through Disney and there is plenty of time for any independents. We may book one excursion independently this time for DD and self - only because I've heard so much positive response on this particular person. And it is about half cost. Otherwise we're in the let DCL handle all of the details group - for better or worse!
Wow! Quite a group of 13 year olds - although DD is still hoping to see a couple of girls that age join the group!

Thanks for the warm welcome!!! My son will turn 13 in April so I'm sure he will check out CG and we will go from there. This will be our 5th cruise with Disney and the kids have always had a great time aboard, thats why we keep coming back. The girls have always enjoyed the clubs ALOT but our son has been kinda in between the last time or two. We wil just play it by ear, he never lacks for friends on a cruise. It is cold here so even more of a reason to think about laying in the sun, somewhere exotic......

Time sure is flying. I think everyone is around probably just really busy. I know my time on the boards has been limited lately with the holidays and then our family involvement in theater. We're two weeks away from opening night! Yikes! DD is in the show, DS is working with tech crew - mainly lighting, DH is working sets, and I'm the costume designer/chief seamstress.
Between our work/school schedules and that the DIS is taking a bit of a back seat. But we haven't stop thinking about the cruise!

We're still here also...
As far as the night before...We're actually driving down to Orlando...staying Friday night there and driving to port Saturday morning. We're planning on catching one of the dinner shows.
I don't think we'll be doing any excursions. We're just going to spend some time exploring at each port.

We're drivin down on the 20th from Jersey i think we're saying over night in St. Augustine or staying somewhere in Disney for the night and driving from there but we're not totally sure yet We get out of school on the 19th so its gonna be so hard but worth it We're not gonna go on any excursions we just wanna go see the sites on our own
my friend's family wants to go how could i find out if there is any more space left on the ship for them
Deb i think thats cool that your whole family's involved with a play im the only one in my family that likes plays but my lil brother sings and is goin to NYC in Feb to sing for Nationals so we're tryin 2 talk him into it but he still plays all his sports and doesn't wanna quit

Hi all!
Kari that is great about your brother! Wish him luck for us. Talk about family involvement...my brother, who is a professional stunt coordinator, is flying in Thursday night and has sent equipment ahead so we can really FLY some of our monkeys!
Anyway as for excursions -
Key West: we're looking at the kayaking. Shirley from Perfect Gift did some checking on the nature kayaking that was listed a few months ago and it sounded disappointing. But DisneyDarwin posted a trip report just recently and it looks like that excursion has been changed. They take you out to a nature preserve.
Cozumel: DD is determined to go horseback riding so that means I'll be going with her. Will more than likely book through DCL just for the peace of mind, especially after reading Barb's post. DS & DH are still deciding what they want to do, although it will probably involve snorkeling.
Grand Cayman: Will be one of the excursions that involves snorkeling and StingRay City.
Also the kids are thinking about the teen junkanoo at one of the ports and also the teen challenge (DS - DD is thinking beach time) on Castaway Cay.

CELL PHONES Do they work on the ship? Like could i call "mobile to mobile" or is it that that they don't work untill your at port? i was wondering since my parents won't have those pagers from the lab anymore

June is going to be here before we know it. It seems like a long way off but really not.
Of course, we're sitting here in a howling blizzard with temps that have been falling all day. (I anticipate many students not showing for classes tonight and then getting a bit bent out of shape when they are assessed late penalties on work that is due.) So just the fantasy of warm weather, tropical breezes and everything else that goes along with the cruise is wonderful.
Over the weekend I packed up the costume shop that had inhabited most of my house for the last couple of months and my DD said, but mom you can't put the sewing machine away I need stuff for formal night! I haven't even started thinking about that!

Amy~ Welcome Back I'm glad you had a succesful(sp?) move
I just got home from a one point loss basketball game but this makes me happy that everyone's planning for a meet
I'm so up for an onboard meet i wouldn't just talk to everyone for over 200 days and not wannna meet all of u!!! We can meet at the sail away party some where. On the side that the boarding dock is on or what ever you want to call it is pretty cool since the workers wave good bye with Mickey Gloves! When we get closer to the cruise I'll tell every one what I'm wearing but I'm planning for every one in my family to wear our softball and baseball shirts where you can easily find out who we are since our last names are on the back Last cruise I went on I met the people right in the "waiting room" if you would call it with the shirt so it was pretty cool.
What dinner does everyone have? We asked for first but it was already full so we got stuck in 2nd. Last cruise we were in second and didn't get out of dinner till 10-10:30 every night due to our extremely bad waiters.
And does any one know about cell phones?
Deb~ I'm not ready for formal night either but i'll probly go shopping like one week before we go. Do you make dresses and stuff yourself cuz this year I took a sewing class at my H.S. and I'm pretty bad at it I made pants and made what my teacher called a "quilt" but it came out really bad but it's really cool if you make stuff. even if i'm bad at it I found it addicting(sp?) LoL
Thanks that you all realize I have no life LOL:p since i'm on line all the time haha

Looks like folks are game to meet on board so we'll have to fine tune those details as it gets closer. I like Kari's idea of figuring out a spot on the side of the ship next to the terminal (FYI - that is the starboard side of the ship)
Kari, as for the sewing if you found some pleasure in it, don't give up. Like so many skills it is something that comes with time and practice, practice, practice. So many of the things I made when I was learning were pathetic. But you have to start somewhere. My undergraduate degree is in Clothing and Textiles - so I'm trained in a wide variety of design and construction techniques, including for theater. At this point in my life most of my sewing efforts go into that area. Even as I type this there is laundry running in my machine from the show we just closed. I hope to have that process finished today! We did Oz! and in addition to designing the entire show, buying all of the materials, cutting most of what we made, supervising the costumes and parts of costumes the kids brought in, etc. I personally constructed all of the main characters plus many of the major supporting roles. I haven't actually counted how many because it gets way to depressing during show to do that! :p But I know it was more than 20. So I'm a bit burned out on sewing at the moment.

Another idea for meeting spot n the ship-----we can all wear a orange or some bright color ribbon and look for the people wearing them so it can be easier to find each other

Hey Kari,
Last week Tuesday night as the storm moved east we received about a 2 foot dump. I was on campus and we closed early - it was a LONG drive home. But I made it. I'm keeping a picture of Key West sunset on my computer as wallpaper right now just to stay sane!
We're flying in on Friday and staying at the airport Hyatt. Saw that amous and family are doing the same.

Ok, I posted a thread on this but thought I'd pop the same question up here as we are "almost" under the 4 month mark.
Onour previous cruises "Mickey" has always had a surprise waiting for the kids. Thought I'd call Shirley and Co. but need some ideas. DD will be 13 and DS just shy of 16 - any thoughts?

I have been working with Shirley via e-mail this week! Although my kids are younger, a couple of ideas that come to mind are:
sunglasses
underwater/disposable camera
sunscreen (the kind that also wards off Jelly fish and sea lice)
paddle ball game for the beach
hat/visor
I am looking through the Oriental Trading Post catalog presently. They are promoting a winter "beach party" theme, so they have a lot of fun trinkets to look at. Maybe a few "stuffers" like stockings!

Finally booked my air and hotel this week. We'll be at the Hyatt late afternoon on Friday.
Items for a gift basket for a 13-yr old? My son still likes the Digemon (?) cartoons. He collects the trading cards. How 'bout a game/puzzle book (word search, crossword puzzles)? Great to use around the pool, on the beach, or even a verandah!
See you all in 4-short months!

"Safe Sea" sun block ~ Not only does it prevent sunburn, but the solution also wards off jellyfish and sea lice.
I pulled this from another previous post about baskets. I have not tried it, but am planning to get some for my family.

Hi Kari,
Oh man I hope you don't get hit with extra days. Several years ago we had something similar happen due to a severe (hurricane force winds) spring storm in May. So many days were used that many districts were facing this problem. The legislature was able to make a special declaration that eliminated that problem. It was deemed that it would be a hardship to the high school kids (summer work) and the tourism industry (workers not available).
Not sure which coordinator you are referring to but I don't work at MSU. I work for Davenport University. Most of the country has heard of MSU and U of M but we actually have LOTS of universities in Michigan. :)

Kari - I think that a meet up on deck 10 (starboard side of the ship which is also the terminal side) at the sail away party might be a good place. Not as crowded as deck 9 but you can still hear the music, etc. Maybe right over the center/Goofy pool area?

Ok, for the teens in our group, especially those that have sailed as teens before, I have a Common Grounds question.
I was just looking at the 360 degree photo on the DCL website and it looks like there is some sort of beverage machine and a snack bar sort of set up in there. Are there actually snacks and beverages available in Common Grounds? If so any details - like cost?
Thanks

I think the "traditional" color for DIS ribbons is a green like a lime green. That would certainly stand out. It sounds like everyone is pretty set on meeting during the sailaway party on Deck 10 on the terminal (starboard) side approximately midship (where the Goofy pool is).
As for excursions I mentioned to my family at breakfast this morning that we'll be at 90 days next week Friday so we need to start seriously looking at excursions. I know that in Key West we're looking at the DCL sponsored Wild Life Preserve Kayaking. Grand Cayman - Stingray City is one of the leading options and Cozumel DD and I will be horseback riding, not sure what the guys are looking at.

Amy,
We certainly are thinking about the kayaking. When we were first looking at we couldn't find much on this. Shirly did some checking on one of her trips to KW and the results were disappointing. Then DisneyDarwin posted a trip report specifically noting they went by boat to a wild life refuge and kayaked there.
Did some further checking and verified that the group Shirley had checked with is NOT the group DCL uses. So that is still on our list. Something you're thinking about?

Yes, we are actually NATIVE Floridians, who will be joining everyone on the Magic June 21st. I look for this thread everyday so I can check out ya'lls trip counter to find out how many days we have. Excited that we have made it under the 100 day mark!!!
We are considering doing the stingray city excursion, but dh doesnt think our ds (12) will do it. His nickname is "chicken nugget". I think he will be fine, but he rarely goes into the ocean past his ankles, has become pretty good at skim boarding. Our other thought is for the jeep tour but I'm not sure I want to take up all the travel time. Hmmm, guess we still have time to debate this at the Nail house.
Anyways, I am really getting antsy to sail and thinking about wardrobe and all. Luckily my dh's sportscoat fits ds (17) and he thinks it will be okay. Still have to spring for dh a new suit. Oh well...I guess I'm babbling. So see ya

Ok, so 90 days (basically) from today we will be boarding the Magic. And just because I needed to do something positive in response to what is going on in the world I called DCL and made our final payment!
Ok, technically I still have to pay for it when the credit card bill comes! :p but as far as DCL is concerned we are paid in full. Just a little while now until we can start booking excursions! Keep us posted on when you get that paperwork everyone. Kari - that sounds good.
Everyone - not sure if you've read the other thread I posted on excursion info but it appears that DCL has changed the policy. Instead of final payment and 60 days out to start booking excursions you can do it as soon as the final payment is made.
Michelle & I sat down last night and decided what we want to do. Just need to get DH & DD to do the same - I hope tonight. Then we'll be making our reservations. At the moment it looks like the following if anyone is wondering. :p
Key West: Back to Nature Kayaking (am going to double check on this when I call to make sure it really goes out to the wildlife refuge.)
Grand Cayman: Stingray City - not sure if this will be just the Stingray City or the Stingray City and Discover Cayman tour until the boys give their input. Any thoughts?
Cozumel: Michelle & I will do the Mayan Horseback riding. Guys will be doing something else.

Disappointment here...:( we tried booking our excursions Tuesday night and could not. The CM was wonderful and checked all sorts of things just in case the policy had changed. It hasn't....
April 22 is the day we can start booking excursions.
But we did make some decisions.
Looks like the following -
Key West: Back to Nature Kayaking
Grand Cayman: Stingray City - the early morning trip. Met with a DIS boarder this afternoon who just came back from a RCL western and they were told the stingrays are most lively before people from 20 cruise ships have spent the day feeding them.
Cozumel: Michelle & I are going on the Mayan Horseback riding. Guys are planning to do the advanced snorkeling to the two reefs.
Kari & Ryan: Andrew is wondering if you're thinking about the Teen Fury Catamaran in Cozumel and/or the Wild Side Adventure at CC? I have no idea if he has tried emailing you about this so thought I'd ask here.
Time really feels like it is flying now!

Ok everyone,
Time to bump this thread up and get some excitement generated. Kari must be on vacation because she usually is posting something!
Anyway, we're at basically the 80 day mark - 2 1/2 months! So what is on your to do to get ready list for the next couple of weeks?
Mine:
Go through summer clothes - get rid of what doesn't fit (I'm jumping up and down with glee that most of mine don't they are TOO BIG!) and make lists of what we need to shop for.
Go Shopping!
Order film! I've been getting mine through an online supplier and it is significantly less expensive plus I can get speeds that aren't as readily available locally.
Call Shirley at Perfect Gift and figure out baskets, decide if I'm going to order any stateroom decorations (we'll be celebrating our 20th anniversary!)
Next?

04-01-2003, 04:20 PM
TO DO LIST:
-Get dresses fitted
-Finish shopping (film, shoes, bathing suit...)
-Stop looking at the countdown clock everyday, as it only makes the time go by even slower
-Stop having the dreams about forgeting my birth certificate at home
-Inform everyone that I come in contact with that I'm going on a cruise in 2 1/2 months (I think I can pretty much scratch this one off of the list as the whole world must know by now)
-Write Disney Cruising for Dummies as I'm surely an expert after all of the research I've done over the past year.
WooHoo! 2 1/2 months!!:bounce:

Yes, we know that homework phenomenon at our house too. Coupled with tennis practice, drivers' training and the musical Andrew has been almost too busy to get on the computer except at school. I think he said he'd replied to your email.
I'll pass along the Fry info. Wild Side is basically a combination of sports oriented activities including snorkeling, biking and sea kayaking. I believe it also includes a raft building competition. But it starts "early" - meeting time is at Common Grounds around 8:15-8:30. Michelle is thinking of just hanging at the Teen Beach - which is supposed to havevolleyball, dancing, and other activities. I remember a big in the water jungle gym that was at the far end of the family beach/near end of the teen beach. And I have read that there are counselors there to "encourage activities" and I would presume some level of supervision!
Looks like a bunch are aiming at the Radison Friday night...(Correction: I just realized I mentioned the Radisson which of course is at the port - we'll be at the Airport Hyatt Friday night. So it looks like we'll have DISers in both places!)

Kari, Ryan will possibly hang out with you at teen beach, he did the wild side at CC last cruise and thought it was okay but not interested in doing it again.
Anyways hope we can keep things going so we all can be ready for our trip. I think I'm going to try Neutrogenia sunless tanning before hand. I've used estee lauder most of the time but the recent thread on this subject seemed to lean toward Neutrogenia.
Well, seeya for now. Kim

Kari - I'll let Andrew know what you're thinking and also Kim, let him know Ryan did it before. He may already know that as they have been emailing, or so I understand.
Kim-we are in a verandah room too -care to share what deck? We'll be on 6. It was our first DCL land/sea vacation back in 1998 that really got me started on scrapping and I always love swapping ideas.
I'm hoping that it is going to be warm enough around here that I can do my end of term grading on the deck and get a little natural sun before I go so I won't need the sunless tanning!

Deb,
We are on deck 7, I forget what room. I also plan on getting some natural sun but blonde hair blue eyes fair skin=skin cancer, so I try not to overdo it.
Are you hoping for early or late seating? We had late seating and want to have it this time. Our servers were so wonderful that we're afraid we'll compare too much thinking Fiona or Gorgie would never do that.
I'm thinking of the massage at CC but am afraid to spend time away from everyone since we don't have all that much on the island, wish we could stay overnite and do it a second day.
Well, gotta get to work. See ya Kim

Kim,
Sorry about the work thing (oh, yea I should be doing that too!)
Fair skin too which is why I don't overdo the sun - never have - but if I can get a little of the natural exposure it will help prevent the burn I hope! Much of my color will be "enhanced" too I think. I looked in the basket of lotions and potions in the bathroom last night and the sunless tanning lotion I have there is Neutragena. I don't use it during the winter but it is what I used last year - I liked it. Although as with most I found that I have to be careful around knees and ankles so it doesn't get too dark. :p
We have early seating and plan to keep it. That is what we've had on previous cruises and it also works well for us in keeping things pretty consistent with non-vacation eating practice. We're on Eastern time and generally eat dinner around 6-6:30 anyway. When they were testing the 5:30 start we considered trying to switch to late because that was just too early! But when that trial flopped we stayed with early seating. For us that gives us evening time for other activities without staying up too late because we tend to be early risers anyway. Work and school just seem to work that way.

Hi everyone
Unlike everyone so far we have an 2 indoor rooms (saved $$) and i think we're on the 2nd floor. I don't care becaue number one we're going and really how much time is there to spend in your room except for sleeping.
As for dinner we have second seating but we wanna change it to first because of bad waiters last time. We keep going back and forth deciding because it may give us more time at the ports instead of rushing back to eat
Tanning~~Our family, we have easily tanned skin, if you would call it, last cruise we turned so dark my friend was so mad since she spent her whole summer at the pool and didnt get tan so were lucky. Its funny cuz we're Polish and the sterotype is blond hair blue eyes and everything so my friends laugh at me an tell me I'm from the southern part of poland since were more tan that we look some what Italian
Well im babaling
O Deb and Kim let Andrew and Ryan know i'm gonna try to get back to them in the next few days because i don't have enogugh time I just have enough time to write here

Hey Kari,
This time of year does seem to get really busy doesn't it? Will pass your message to Andrew. He is on Spring Break this weekend and not going anywhere since I am not on Spring Break. One of the reasons we go on vacation in the summer.
When you and your family are making that seating decision remember that the same waiters are at both seatings. It really depends on other things like port time and eating scheduled.
BTW-it couldn't hurt right now for everyone to send some pixie dust this way. My mother has been in fragile health for many years now (one of the reasons we ALWAYS take out insurance) and took a fall over the week-end. They called in a spinal cord injury specialist which was a little strange at first. Turns out that she fractured the C1 and C2 vertebrae rings (translation for the non-medical: she broke her neck). She was incredibly lucky as apparently the majority of these type fractures are fatal. Not only is she alive but there is no indication of paralysis. Because of all her other health issues they do not want to do surgery so have put her in a halo brace for at least 3 months. In my own mind I am thinking that we will still go but am also crossing my fingers that nothing else happens right at the end of June!

Hi all! I haven't checked the board in a while and had lots of catching up to do!! LOL
As far as excursions, we plan to to kayak in Key West and swim with the dolphins in Cozumel (and play a round of mini-golf). We don't have anything planned for Grand Cayman.
My son will probably sign up for the teen activities on Castaway Cay (Wild Side Adventure?). Kari, keep me posted about what you all are doing.
What else? We're on Deck 6 and I'm getting into the scrapbooking thing too. Deb & Kim -- I hope you guys can offer some great tips!
We have early seating too. We've tried both and like the early one better!
Take care and look forward to meeting everyone!!

Andrew is still debating on the Wild Side, Michelle is going to hang (translation sleep til about noon! and then hit the beach) The reality of a female teenager in the house is becoming more of a reality every day!
Also check out the scrapping board - lots of good ideas there on what to collect on the trip!

The sun is out today here in Michigan but it was still really cold (hey in April under 30 is COLD!) and I agree with you Kari. It is time for sunshine and warm weather.
Andrew has a tennis meet on Tuesday and hasn't been able to get out all of Spring Break so far to even hit a ball! Yuck!
I know - we can have a virtual mini cruise to get us in the mood. Ok everyone, close your eyes and imagine one warm, sunshine filled moment and post it here for all to enjoy.
Here's mine: I'm sitting next to the Goofy pool with a pure trash romance novel in my hand (of which I've read only a few pages) with the tropical sun pouring down warming me straight through to the bone. I am WARM - no chills, no shivers - purely WARM. And should I get thirsty there is an icy tropical beverage so close I barely need to move my hand to pick it up....

Hi all, getting back on the thread so Debbie and I can get reacquainted. Hard to believe it's just a little over two months away. We'll all be getting our excursion paperwork soon. I don't know about the rest of you but Debbie and I have been to Key West on the Magic twice before and have a pretty good time window shopping and cruising the bars. We did the Western Union sunset cruise and found it to be enjoyable but on the next cruise thought it was actually more fun to see it from Mallory Square. Thoughts? Also we can't decide what excursion to do on Cayman. Any recommendations? Well, I look forward to chatting with you all. Wes

OK, the last few days have been hectic. It was also warmer but getting cold again.
PLEASE let there be nothing but sunshine and tropical breezes (gentle ones!) on this cruise.
Kari, could you do me a favor please? When you get a moment check out the tuxes on the rental site www.cruiselineformal.com and see what looks most like the high school guys in your area would wear. Andrew hasn't done anything this formal yet and now isn't sure what he wants to do! I'd rather have him rent the tux (maybe the dinner jacket look?) than spend the money on a suit or sportcoat he won't wear again. And of course if you wanted to drop a hint or two to him via email about how much you're looking forward to seeing the guys dressed up, etc. ;) it couldn't hurt!
Welcome Wes!

Hi everyone,
Coming back to the boards after very busy week or two. We have really been working on wardrobe for cruise: DH bought new suit, I bought new pants suit. Looking for bathing suits, cannot find what I want, good thing we still have 2 months to go.
Bought Neutrogenia sunless tanning spray worked okay and sat out for a couple of hours last Saturday.
Found out we will be having another family join us; DS's girlfriend and her parents have decided to come along. Already assigned to a table for 8 for both of our families to sit together.
Wes, welcome aboard, see you're DVC members, so are we since 92 OKW and BCV.
Saw Travel Channel's special last nite and DS thought that they didn't bother to mention teen stuff Common Grounds nor the teen beach. He said he thought it was good thing not a promotional video b/c it didn't excite him at all, would rather watch our video from our 4day.
Well, gotta go, almost two months away! Oh, received our shore excursions info today.

Hi Kim!
My kids said the same thing - no mention of teen stuff, fine for nostalgia but where is all the cool stuff?
We're working on the clothes thing too, mom is lagging behind.
I haven't been home yet to check the mail. Although we downloaded excursion info a while back and then called to clarify a bunch of details. Next Tuesday we can call and make those reservations!
Anyone have ideas? Looks like we're aiming at pretty much what we posted earlier...
KW: Back to Nature Kayaking
Grand Cayman: Stingray City
Cozumel: DD & I are headed for the horses and DH & DS are looking at the advanced snorkeling tour. Any other teens thinking about the Catamaran?
CC: DS is looking at Wild Side
Question - for those teens who are repeating as teens is the raft building competition part of the Wild Side or was it a more general activity at the teen beach? We thought originally it was part of Wild Side but now aren't sure!
Thanks!

Hi all --
We received our shore excursion info yesterday (4/16).
KW: Back to Nature Kayaking. Jimmy Buffet's restaurant
Grand Cayman: Nothing planned; just a day of rest and pleasure.
Cozumel: Swim with the Dolphins (can't find this one in the Disney book -- can anyone help?!). Mini-golf is also planned.
CC: Hey, Deb -- my DS is looking at Wild Side too. I'd like to hear, as well, from other teens as to how they liked it.
Thank you for the website to the formal wear. I need to get that taken care of very soon!
See you all soon!

Also set up a time to call Shirley and order baskets this afternoon. Did that via email so I knew it would be a time we could talk through ideas when she wasn't rushed. Not that I think that would make a difference to her, but I spent too many years in retail not to know it makes a difference!
And of course Tuesday morning we can call in our reservations for excursions!

Hi all, especially Amy and anyone else thinking about kayaking in Key West.
I called Shirley a bit ago to order baskets and in the course of conversation ended up talking to Norm about this excursion. Based on the information we have from DCL and Disney Darwin's trip report a couple months back it appears that this one goes to Bird Key which is part of the Dry Tortugas (not sure I spelled that correctly). If that is accurate he said it is a wonderful place to visit. Also that the entire Keys system is designated as a bird sanctuary and as long as it isn't a trip cutting through the main island (as some are but this says is not and when I spoke to DCL rep was definitely told you take a motor boat to the "wildlife refuge" first) you can see good stuff.
Woo hoo!

Still not sure of our arrival time Amy. Although DH said after dinner - gee if we're getting in early enough maybe we shouldn't stay at the Hyatt but drive over to the Space Coast and....
at which point I reminded him of 1) the numerous long conversations we had on this topic many months ago before we booked, 2) we just passed the 60 day point so we'd be penalized for making changes  (like HOW did that escape him with all the conversations about making excursion reservations, etc), and 3) how making the change (if it were possible) would mess up the rest of the details such as transfers to the port - now we'd have to rent a car, etc etc.
We did take a look at the potential flights we might be on (booked through DCL for lots of reasons that make sense to us) and we won't get that schedule for another 30 days. I doubt they'd put us on the early morning (translation 5:45 to 6:30 am departures) flights because they usually keep those for people flying into WDW and with plans for that day. So I'm guessing we'll be on one of the late morning or early afternoon flights which would get us in about the same time.

Ok fellow cruisers. In the interest of providing you with a full and fair description of my DH I think I need to "correct" an impression that may have developed from my last couple of post.
1. Regarding the "missing 60 day mark" - he didn't actually miss it, just didn't realize that meant no changes to the reservations. I can see that as that has been my primary responsibility.
2. Thinking of an anniversary basket on his own...he DOES surprise me from time to time with "traditional" romantic greatures but is constantly doing things that really count - like dishes, cleaning, running errands, etc. And HE is the one that surprised me two anniversaries ago with a gorgeous pair of earrings while I didn't even remember to get him a card! :( I just didn't think doing something like a basket ordered ahead of time would be his style - he tends to be a bit more spontaneous. Who knows I may be surprised!
He has managed to keep me interested for more than 20 years (celebrating our 20 wedding anniversary on the cruise)! Plus he has been known to lurk around under my log in so I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings for ANYTHING!

To "our cruise" newbies - Rick & Karen and families - welcome to the 6/21 thread!
To catch you up we do have meet planned for deck 10, starboard (terminal side) approximately over the Goofy pool area during the sailaway party on Sat. Also several families will be at the Hyatt or Radisson on Fri night prior.
Karen - there are a few teens closer to your age, Ryan is 17. My son will be just shy of 16 and our ever bubbly Kari will be 15. The 15-17 teens are grouped together for CG activities as I'm sure you know. Ryan, Andrew and Kari have been emailing each other directly on and off for a month or so. But you are correct in this group at least there are quite a few 13 yo. Although mainly boys to my DD's chagrin.
Rick - if you can find time to browse through the prior pages on the thread you'll see there are a variety of opinions and choices for this group in terms of excursions. A lot depending on personal preferences and ages of kids traveling. We're booked for Back to Nature Kayaking in KW, DD & I will to horseback and DH & DS snorkeling at Chankanaab in Cozumel, and all Stingray City (without any of the side excursions) in Grand Cayman. Just checked the deck plan in my Passporter and stateroom 1030 is on deck 1, port side as far forward as the staterooms go. It's forward wall is shared with the forward tender lobby and it is just a stone's throw from the Medical center.

There are several DISers staying at the Radisson on Fri night, I remeber Kari and family (CBAGGS) saying they were but can't remember off the top of my head who else.
The meet we have planned is for Sat when we are all on the ship. During the sailaway party, deck 10 starboard (terminal side) approximately over the Goofy pool area.
Although...as big as this group is getting I hope we don't tip the ship! ;)

Wow! This ship seems to be filling up by the minute.
To our newbies Rick/Karen/Beanteam, glad your joining our crew. Deb & Kari have kept this thread going for quite some time which has made it fun getting acquainted before ever meeting someone. On our last cruise in 2000, DH overheard a family in the registration for the lab and introduced himself right then, b/c he had corresponded with them on these boards. It was great to be able to pick them out of all others onboard.
Karen, one of my DS, Ryan 17, will be onboard and plans on hanging out at CG, last cruise he mainly hung out in stateroom eating all day and only met someone the last night, which they played marathon ping-pong. This time his DGF also 17(and her parents) will be on the ship and they both plan on trying out CG. Hope this helps.
:bounce: Yippee, we are under 50 days and are really looking forward towards the Magic!
Deb, are you planning on purchasing the SAFESEA lotion? I have lived in Florida my entire life and never knew that the irritating rash was actually something other than irritation from the saltwater. Oh well, learn something new everyday.
Gotta go catch some rays

Hi Kim,
I had the Sea Safe on my list of "to dos" and finally ordered it about a week ago. Quick delivery - received it last Friday.
Time is really flying now - we were reviewing the calendar last night and with end of the school year activities, holiday weekend, etc. our cruise date is going to be here before we know it!

Hi all, back on the boards after a vacation (friends visiting from UK) . Now what is Sea Safe, why should I need it and what's all this stuff about a RASH!!?? As a doc I can ask this as a professional. I recall getting a RASH after swimming in the groinal area which I chalked up to irritation from the sand, wet suit, salt water etc. Don't get too technical...I'm a surgeon and we drag our knuckles when we walk.
I got the impression people on the cruise ahead of us got their docs already. Another milestone awaits.
Made all our excursion ressies and got what we wanted. Hope everybody else got their first choices.
Tried to book a surial bath ahead of time by going directly through Steiner, the vendor, and they said nobody can book a spa treatment etc prior to getting on board. I find this hard to believe as I dash for the spa sign in sheet as soon as we get on board and all the good time slots are already taken. Especially for the days at sea.
Nobody can get to the spa sign in sheet faster than me...I know all the shortcuts.
Would recommend the Rain Forest package for all you newbies. It is very relaxing after a hard day of Disney Cruisin'! Cheers Wes

Hey Wes,
Spa reservation question - the folks signed up ahead are through concierge. The conceirge suites have pre assigned times and then you can book through them without the general rush. And some posts have hinted that those may be able to book ahead within the pre assigned times. Those of us not in those areas get to dash and hope for the best.
DH & I keep waffling on the Surial - sounds like fun but are concerned about the heat.
Sea Safe is a sunscreen with a compound (sorry I don't have the bottle handy) in it which protects against the inflammation which can be caused by jelly fish, sea lice, etc. stings. And it is supposed to be particularly waterproof in sea water. We've been lucky in the past but decided to order some. You're the doc...I'll let you decide if the rash might have been inflammation of this sort or just the suit and sand irritation! :p
As for the cruise ahead of us getting their docs that is possible. From what I've seen folks booking their own air have been receiving them 5-6 weeks out while those with air through DCL get them about 3-4 weeks out. We're in the second category so I haven't started looking for them.

Hi Deb, you pose an interesting point. We are on deck 8 and I recall being told a cruise or two ago that that was the concierge level. What constitutes concierge?
I suspect the rash was all of the above. It was annoying. I'll try the stuff. How can I get some? Can you buy it locally as we will be in OKW for a few days prior to sailing?
We've done the surial several times and enjoy it. The heat's not so bad. After a while things start to generate their own heat if you catch my drift. That's all I'll say in a public forum except to say that I know its not for everyone. We were down working out in the exercise room one afternoon and a woman came charging out looking really steamed and I don't mean from the heat. A few moments later her husband came out with a rather distressed look on his face. If walls could talk!

I too will try to get some Sea Safe. I was thinking that maybe I would have Shirley include it in the family's basket? This would save me the trouble of looking for it if she is familiar with it.
We have booked our excusions and we got what we wanted! :Pinkbounc
I really would like a spa treatment, but just can't decide which one to choose. I love pedicures, so I might have one of those for sure.

Ok guys, I tried to find Sea Safe and all I can find is Safe Sea. Is it the same thing with spf15 or 30? I went ahead and ordered some because it sounds basically the same. I can't have dh (WRH3MD) get another rash! He gets so whiney when he breaks out!:smooth:

I just tried to find my original order confirmation in my emails and it only had a stock number not the name of the product. Nor am I finding it in my Passporter at the moment to double check. But it sounds like the same stuff.
The company was Lifestyles Direct. Not sure if it is available in stores or not. I've never seen it around here but then again Lake Michigan isn't known for its jellyfish and sea lice!
Wes that sounds like it might have been interesting and yes I get your drift on the "heating up". ;)
My understanding is that it isn't the deck that determines concierge level but category. Just checked the Passporter to refresh my memory and these are cats 1,2 & 3. Deck 8 appears to have cats 1,2,3, & 4.
Good luck!

Let me answer for dw. We booked directly through DCL. We drive to Fla. Flying has turned into too much hassle and driving allows us to bring lots more stuff and I am a person who needs his stuff. (lap top, books, snorkel stuff etc.) I don't know if dd and sil got their's yet but I booked it so hopefully they are linked and she should get them soon too. Cheers. Wes

Thanks for the info Wes. Driving is just a little too far for us. Even our last trip home that took the better part of two days was less total time than driving would be.

Kari (CBAGGS) had been pretty visible but I know she, Ryan, and my son Andrew have been email each other directly. They are 14/15, 17 & 15 nearly 16. There are also a bunch of younger teens - 13ish in the group.
Speaking for my son I know he is up to his eyeballs with school ending "stuff" at the moment and I suspect the same with Kari so you may not see anything from them for a bit.

And according to their website today actually flights arrive at MCO between 10 am & 6 pm. So I'm guessing if we are on Delta that we'll get in sometime in the afternoon. Last time I spoke with DCL they said flights would be assigned about 30 days out. I'll call them next week and should have the details.

Promenade Lounge........10:00 P.M.
Hi all,
Our understanding is that we are all suppose to meet opposite the Goofy pool, deck 10, starboard, at castoff. Let me tell you our experiences. Some of us get so involved in what is going on i.e., pushing away from the dock and other things going on, that by the time we make it to the meeting place, most are gone doing other things. We therefore, last cruise, had all adults interested in meeting, meet at the Promenade Lounge at 10:00 the night of sailing. By then, champagne had been drunk, the initial excitement of being on the ship had calmed down, and all the kids had disbursed and meet friends. Late seating was done and everyone was ready for a drink and adult conversation. Last cruise we had about 15-20 people who had agreed to meet earlier, finally caught up with each other. We closed the lounge down that night and had a terrific time.
So, anyone interested, lets meet at:
10:00 P.M., sailing night, Promenade Lounge, and come thirsty. Last cruise we had "last man, woman, standing" !!!!!

Hi Y'all,
I just signed up on these boards so I could talk to you.
Dh just booked our cruise and I am quickly reading these boards and have found some really great tips. Lets see... My name is Holly and I'm from Charlotte, NC. We have a ds (12) and dd (9). We are driving down the day before. I have been on the carnival over 10 years ago. The biggest question I have is what are you all doing on shore? We would love to get more info on the local areas and the best companies and ways to travel around. We like to shop, but while were on vacation we want to do "fun" things. Also, I know the kids will have more fun if they know there will be other kids their age to look foreward to meeting. I feel that were coming into this a little late ( Planning wise ), but am working hard to be prepared. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks Holly

Hey DebbieH,
How about if we leave the "general" meet during sailaway for those that can make it - this way the kids (especially those teens) have a chance to meet up and add the evening meet at the Promenade lounge?
Welcome Holly. I second the recommendation to get the Passporter and check the sites. There appears to be a wide range of what folks are doing based on family make up and interests.
We're kayaking in Key West, snorkeling with stingrays in Grand Cayman, and splitting up in Cozumel. DD & I will ride horseback and DH & DS will snorkel.

Hi all, Debbie meant for the Promanade lounge to be a meeting IN ADDITION TO the sailaway gathering, preferentially but not exclusively, for adults. We look forward to seeing you all. We are doing the Beach thing at Grand Cayman and the Fury Catamarran snorkel and beach party in Cozumel. We had a blast on this excursion last year and could not recommend it more enthusiastically. We also recommend signing up for the rain forest in the spa. Its a terrific way to relax after a hard day of power cruising. We do it for the whole week. Cheers Wes

The brown truck was in my driveway and we received our documents, so now we're doing the happy dance:bounce:
This was a great way to end hubby & my wonderful weekend!
Just got back from a 3 day, no kids, stay at the Poly. Wow, what a beautiful resort. After all this time we've been going to the world and staying at GF, Contemporary, etc., we finally made it to the Poly and are planning our next trip, loved the slide and stayed on the beach the whole time.
Anyways, happy to see ya'll planning our meets, I always mean to do things but never get around to it. We will certainly make both the meets a high priority.
Welcome Holly, my DS 12 will be happy to hear that your DS is his age. He enjoyed the lab 3 yrs ago and hopefully can meet others to feel comfortable going since he's entering that awkward age.
His name is Nick and he loves Disney & soccer.
See ya real soon!!

Well speaking for our family I can say that we're busy getting our shopping done, as well as finishing up the school year.
Last week was a big week for our high school choir with spring show production week - meaning DS was busy every night with that, and DH and I were there as well nearly every night as backstage folks. This week and next are the end of term for me - I pop into the boards occasionally to give my brain a break from the mountains of grading I am doing. Suspect this is a busy time for many of the families.
But that doesn't mean the cruise isn't out of mind - I SO need a vacation! :p
No docs yet, but we booked air through DCL so I have a call to them on my to do list tomorrow - flights should be assigned 30 days out and would expect docs within about another week to 10 days.

Ok folks we're doing the happy dance here...doc dance coming soon.
Spoke with DCL this morning and they confirmed our documents package went out yesterday (5/21) - 3 day select - UPS. I'm glad about the UPS because DH gets so many shipments they deliver the driver knows us well and I hope will leave if no one is there to sign OR take it to the neighbor as we regularly do.
Also confirmed flights. Amy, we are due to land at MCO about 1 pm - so we should be settled into the Hyatt by 2 pm. When are you due in?
The air desk rep (Jack - he sounded so cute!) also said that when we check in to the Hyatt we should tell them we are going to the cruise and they'll give us a letter with all the details on luggage transfers, etc. As we knew we do need to claim our bags from MCO ourselves when we arrive Friday. So DON'T put the DCL tags on them before leaving home! :)
Jack said that Hyatt guests "normally" meet in the lobby about 10:30 for transport to the port. As we know from these boards though the buses start running at 9:30 so maybe we'll try for an earlier bus. I need to get clearer on how the luggage transfer works to figure that out for sure. I'll post a thread on that one.
We're flying Delta but am not worried about schedule changes. The flights we're on connect through Atlanta and are the most stable flights in their schedule - when I spoke with the Delta rep to get our seat assignments she said the planes were already essentially full and are usually that way so it is extremely unlikely that Delta would mess with the schedule. And our regional carrier between Grand Rapids and Atlanta is NOT Song! :smooth: A very good thing.
I was also able to get some carry on clarification from the Delta rep which is straight out of the TSA directives. My question was whether or not I'd be able to take a regular carryon AND my camera bag (dimensions ~ 18 x 24 x 6 inches) and was told absolutely. A carryon meeting carryon dimensions (I think she said 45 total inches) AND a personal item such as a purse, briefcase, computer case, camera bag, diaper bag or similar was allowed. Obviously I can't also carry a purse but I never do anyway. I have a little bag that can be carried as a waist pack or shoulder strapped that slips into my carryon quite nicely that I use instead.
Well if you haven't figured out that I'm excited let's see if a visual will help! :) :) :)

Hi all,
Wow, just under 20 days, cant wait,:Pinkbounc
Have about shopped out and if we don't get on this ship soon I think we'll have to declare bankruptcy. DS 12 needs a new suit thought he could wear his cousin's but has gone through a major growth spurt recently. DS 17 wants some new clothes also. Back to the mall we go.
Question: Anyone planning on doing the spa/palo ressies as soon as they board? We are going to get to port early, driving over and saw that now you can sign up as soon as you board. My question would be do we send kids to table at PC while adults go and make the ressies? I am definitely wanting CC massage and another one on ship, also want to do Palo brunch and dinner.
In 2000 we had time to eat first, couldnt make ressies until 1:30p.
thanks, Kim

Hi Kim!
I can sympathize with the shopped out feeling. Seems like no one had summer clothes this year that fit and/or were decent. I informed all on Sunday that anything they still need, no matter how small an item MUST be on my list by the time they head out for school/work Friday morning because that is the LAST I'm doing!
I think we're set on the clothes but still have some little last minute things like batteries for my camera, etc. to pick up.
We're planning to check out the navigator after we check in at the port and based on what that says for check in time go from there. If we can make the reservations right away we'll do that and let kids head to lunch. At 13 & 15 they can handle that on their own and meet at the stateroom eventually!

Just a quick message to bump this up a little.
Grades are in, graduation is over, and I THINK I may actually be caught up enough to start enjoying my "free" time before we head to the cruise by the end of the week. :)
Confirmed order with Perfect Gift just a little while ago. Those poor ladies - if you haven't read Shirley's post on the mix up that happened oh my. How anyone could sign for gifts that were obviously not meant for them (they were personalized!) is beyond me. Joann must have told me 12 times, now if it isn't in the room just check withhousekeeping so they can track it down.
I'm pleased to report that the shopping list is pretty small. DH did just buy a couple more shirts but other than that it is little stuff.
As it is only about 60 degrees for a high here in Michigan today, I am really looking forward to our cruise.

Is that what it was! And here I was calling it frost here in Michigan!
Ok, the weather man is teasing us saying it will be in the 70s next week. I hope so or you're all going to know us because we will be as white as the snow we're pretty sure is still hovering around the edges!

I figured you'd been pretty busy. Andrew mentioned that he had an email from you a week - 10 days ago. He too is up to his eyeballs with finishing school/starting work and of coure right in the middle of all this the details came together for his Eagle Scout project. So this week he will be getting that done as well! Although I suspect much of the paper work will wait until we get back.
He has finals yet on Monday and Tuesday and then done. Both he and Michelle plan to be at the 411 in Common Grounds Sat. night.
Ok, have to get back to work here -

I know I'm mentally ready for a vacation but we still have a couple of school days for kids to get through and I have a TON of little things I need to get done before vacation. Not all of it directly related to vacation but needs to be taken care of so things are under control while we're gone, right after we return. So those last few days are going to fly!
Today and next Monday are my last official work days for June. Although I'll have some electronic contact just won't have to show my face on campus. And after today I KNOW I'm going to be looking forward to that vacation even more. I have to meet with a faculty member and student - serious plagiarism charges. This will NOT be fun. So any pixie dust anyone wants to send this way for mid afternoon would be most appreciated!
And then it is on towards the Magic! About 5:30 Saturday afternoon I said to the kids, well the ship is leaving right about now and the next time she leaves on a Western we'll be onboard! Now that seems pretty close!

Hey Amous! I've been checking in but not posting. I've been last minute shopping, trying to get motivated to start packing, trying not to end every sentence with "I'm going on a cruise. La, la, la, la, la"......
I can't wait until next week. My last day of work is a week from tomorrow. I'm ready for VACATION!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hi Amous & Christophy,
I am very excited to see we are under 10 days to set sail. We are doing last minute shopping this weekend, filling out our documents and trying to make the time speed up until next Sat, then we want it to slooowww dooowwn so we can enjoy our trip.
DH thinks its going to fly and its the anticipation that makes the vacation.
Everyone at work is tired of hearing about my count down to cruise.
See ya,
Kim

Haven't gone anywhere but this week I only was on campus Monday so my online time has been more limited than usual. Everyone is out of school now but there are so many things still on the events schedule before we sail!
Spent yesterday doing some last minue errands that were directly trip related. Today need to do some running for some of my volunteer responsibilities so those aren't left hanging while I'm gone.
Question for the group: We have a meet for those who can make it on deck 10, starboard side, generally over the Goofy pool area during the sailaway and then another for ~10pm that evening in the Promenade lounge. Noticed in the latest Navigators Barb and Tony posted that there is also a single travelers meet set for that timeframe in the Promenade lounge. Do we want to go ahead and figure there is plenty of room for all or want to try a different location? Wes? Debbie?

I'm so glad to see you're all still here! Last minute jitters and excitement on my end!
Matt & I plan to do the DisBoards Meet & Greet at the sailaway party. And I'll be at the Promenade with ya'll at 10:00. Matt plans to do the 411 meeting at the Common Grounds.
I'm giving a presentation tonight to a local organization re: cruising. But we all know why cruising is fun, especially with Disney!
Disney cruises are an addiction, right?! OKW -- I agree! My co-workers have finally started asking each morning, "How many days til your cruise?!".
My first day of vacation is next Thursday. Deb -- we'll see you at the Hyatt!

OK, people...SETTLE... You don't want to peak too soon. There is mucho room at the Promenade Lounge for our Ten PM Rendezvouz. (Note the mexico lingo) We're psyched too. It's hard not to be. We've been on the Magic and Wonder six or seven times now and eveytime is like the first time. When you drive up over the rise on the causeway to the terminal and that big old ship is sitting there in the morning sun...well it's making me verklempt...talk amongst yourselves...there I'm better. We'll try to stay closer to the boards between now and then. We head for Fla on Wed 6-18. We'll stay in touch.

Wow! That would be cool - that's right you're throwing the kids overboard after the first leg. ;) Or something like that. Ok, Wes I wasn't sure how much room Promenade had left after they carved out the Internet cafe. Haven't been onboard in 3 years.
Settle out of the excitement? Ok, actually it is simmering under the surface here - too many things still going on. But meanwhile, it bubbles through when it is least expected!

Hi Deb. The Promenade lounge has plenty of room even with the Internet Cafe carved out. We had no problem getting twenty Dis-sers around a couple of tables for drinks and fun. Oh and slight correction, we are not physically throwing the children and spouse overboard we are just asking them politely to leave so Mommy and Daddy can make our own fun.:smooth:
Seriously, our excitement is bubbling to the surface, too. I've had a must-do and things to purchase, lift or otherwise acquire list in my pocket since January. Silly things like a black sharpie for luggage tags, dryer sheets, passports, tux stuff, clean underwear etc. It had been folded and unfolded so many times it is coming apart at the folds. I still have quite a schedule left between now and next Tuesday when we leave for Florida Wedsnesday. A lot of things to get done...Sometimes it seems like there are not enough hours in the day. So pause, take a deep breath and go to the next crisis.:earseek: Wes
