Loews First or bribe

Hey, as anyone tried the $20 bribe along with Loew's First Card to try for the ClubLevel??I've had success with this in LV, they don't seem to be giving out many with the card alone, be interested in hearing of anyone with upgrades...

I'm such a dolt on things like that and so is my DH! I need a lesson on how to slip someone a $20! I'd be like Seinfield at the Chinese restaurant!!

On mach 27th, I did get a Loews upgrade to a club room, and afterwards gave a $20 tip to the desk clerk. Does that count as a bribe... don't think so! Try to get your upgrade as soon as possible after 3:00 pm, when more rooms are available.. :cool:

I checked in after 6:00pm in March and the clerk practically through a club room at me when I told him I was a Loews First member.

I guess it makes more sense to check in late in the day after all the regular rooms are taken. Then if they have overbooked, you would be more likely able to upgrade. We checked in at 11:30 in the morn and didn't stand a chance at an upgrade, maybe next time, we will try the night checkin and see how it goes.

No, I don't recommend checking in too late. Back in March we checked in around 7PM. I had booked a club room. They had overbooked and sent me to Portofino Bay for the night. No club room there. They paid for the night so that took the sting out of it but I wasn't thrilled about shuffling my stuff around for a 2 night trip!
