Hi everyone!

Last year over Labor Day I took a trip with my BF. I ended the trip on a somewhat positive moment, but was not feeling the Disney magic sort of trip. So I started planning a trip with friends which I was sure would be an amazing trip. What started off as a trip of five almost ended up being a trip for two, but luckily one person found a way to make the trip happen. What happen to the other two people who dropped out? One was my friend, j, who neglected to actually keep track of his vacation days and make sure he had enough days to go on the trip. D'oh! :headache: The second was the BF of someone going, they broke up a month or two before the trip. Not dating? No invite to the party!

Now that, that's taken care of I should probably introduce those who made it and tell you our plans.

There's me:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/th_DSCN2782.jpg (http://s104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/?action=view&current=DSCN2782.jpg)

I bought myself a voucher in April from Disney Store for an AP which I traded in this trip and found myself celebrating my annual pass. I love meeting characters and watching Disney movies and will randomly start a conversation with about anyone.

Then there's g:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/th_DSCN2777.jpg (http://s104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/?action=view&current=DSCN2777.jpg)

He lives in FL about 40 minutes away from the world. I know his favorite ride is Test Track. He may join in to "voice" his opinion.

Finally there's b:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/th_DSCN2983.jpg (http://s104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/?action=view&current=DSCN2983.jpg)

She lives in Seattle. She liked taking random pictures of signs.

The plan was for me to fly down on the 14th. My plane was to arrive at 10pm and I was spending the night at Pop, the next day was EMH at HS and I hoped to trade in my voucher and get a ride on TSM.

The day before leaving (or could be considered same day cause it was like 11pm - 12am) g decided he would drive down on Friday to get a head start on the trip. So I quickly added him to reservation and attempted to make sure he could check in.

The 15th we'd check out and check in to Wyndham Bonnet Creek for the week using b's timeshare and pick her up for the week of fun ahead of us.

So did this trip make up for last year?

This week I got to fill in for the front desk of the main office. On the plus side the main office is closer to the airport. On the negative side, it is so not a sneaker and jeans sort of place which is what I like to wear on the plane. The night before we dropped my car off to get fixed, so the morning started with BF dropping me off at work with all my luggage. I took the elevator to the office and tucked my luggage away for the day and started on the process of adding g to the reservation for the night. I figured with him being 40 minutes away and my flight not arriving until 10pm, it might make sense to also fax and call Pop to make sure he could check in.

Around 4pm I changed to head out for the airport and I left around 4:15pm for my 7:05pm flight. I'm very paranoid about not making my flights or checking baggage or whatever could go wrong. If you read my PTR you would know I got to sit in the airport for awhile because my flight was delayed. It started off 45 minutes delayed and ended up almost 2 1/2 hours delayed! It was no fun, I could see our plane at the gate, but the problem was that our flight attendants were stuck taxing in New York trying to get to Boston. Grrrrrrr! In the meantime, g drove to Pop and was able to check in.

I have it written that we landed in MCO at 12:40am (now Saturday) and arrived at Pop from the ME at 2am. I had to pick up my luggage before trying to find my way there. I went to the check-in and asked if there is anyway I could check out later than 11am since I was just getting there. They were nice enough to extend check out to 12:30pm. Would we make it to EMH at HS tomorrow?

Hey Joyce, thanks for joining! I promise photos start with the first full day in Orlando, my brain was just not functioning much after work and wanting to be in Disney so badly!

I hate the "hurry up and wait" thing that you normally have to do when going to the airport. The flight getting delayed..and getting delayed for that long would have made me crazy.

Glad you got to extend your checkout time!!!:thumbsup2

I figured if they wouldn't, I'd still get 8 - 9 hours of sleep. If they did, then all the better for me!

I uploaded all the photos from day one last night so I'll be able to start on the 2nd day if work stays slow!

When we left off, I had arrived at Pop at 2am. G was waiting for me to get off ME so we could start hanging out right away. It would have been nicer to start that about 3 hours earlier, but oh well.

We had a corner room in the 80's on the first floor. Not ideal to me, since I wanted to sleep in, but at least I had made it to Disney. So I did what any good Disney lover would do, let the Disney excitement take over my tired body and stay up to 3am talking about all the rides, characters, and food we looked forwarded to for the week ahead of us. Eventually g fell asleep and rather than talking to myself, I tried to sleep as well. By this point I figured missing out on EMH at HS wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, we should sleep in.

I woke up at 8am. :lmao: So much for sleeping in! While trying to be somewhat quiet g woke up and we set out the plan for the morning. We would start off by heading to DTD to get breakfast and get our annual passes. Breakfast was a toss up between going to WL for the counter service waffle menu or WPE for some chocolate chip waffles. We got our stuff together and headed for DTD.

Where I feasted on this:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2711.jpg

And I washed it down with some chocolate milk. Yeah.... I don't like chocolate that much. :rolleyes1

g decided to go for this:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2710.jpg

Smoked Bacon Pizza. He said it was amazing!

After we were done, we walked over to Guest Relations and got in like. Who would have thought that of al Guest Relations DTD would have a like at like 10:30am when the parks are open? I traded my voucher for a pass, got a TIW card, and g got set up with a seasonal pass.

After that was done, we headed back to Pop to pack up g's car and check out. Check out was relatively painless, we were waiting in a line and what looked like a manager took my card and printed out my bill and handed it to me, no credit card was on file, only there for 9 hours, what could I have charged?

After checking out we decided to do a walking tour of Pop since I never did last year.

I had my Hidden Mickey book on me which told me to look for this:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2712.jpg

and this:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2713.jpg

We kept walking around the buildings until I spotted the work on the Art of Animation building, I had to stop and take a bunch of pictures for my Dis friends!

And then I got distracted........

tankgirl427

What could have distracted me from my mission of recon on the Art of Animation resort?

Window Decorations!

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2718.jpg

Most awesome towel animal I've ever seen at Pop:

Another Window!

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2720.jpg

Recon mission over we continued our way around Pop, where I stumbled upon these fine upstanding figures:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2728.jpg

Then I decided we needed a photo with them and thought a trashcan looked like a good place to set up the camera with the selftimer with 10 seconds for me to book it back to the Potatoes. Right after the photo was taken a nice family stopped and took a photo of us with the Potatoes, so we'll go with that one.

After that it was time for more fun and games at Pop...............

Okay...I'm now caught up. I remember reading about your plane being delayed and I was feeling frustrated right along with you. Those chocolate chip waffles are calling my name. :worship::worship::worship: And what better way to wash them down than with chocolate milk. :woohoo::woohoo:

I really like teh art work on the Animation Building...it looks really cool. And love the photo of you and g with Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead.

Thanks for the picture of the Art of Animation buildings... though being obsessed with abandoned places (theme parks and hotels especially!), I am a little sad to see the empty building shells go

The plane delay made for a very long start to the trip. I had been up since 6am Friday and worked almost a full day at work. I really can't wait to try out the waffle menu at WL. I'm not really a fan of pancakes, but I  me some waffles!

It was so werid to see buildings lookings new and fresh with paint and then right next door was like the shell of a never built hotel and I couldn't believe they went together. There is so much left to the first day. :sad2:

After meeting with the Potatoheads, I thought a game of Twister sounded like fun:

Ummm not that fun with one person and the spinner kept landing on the same thing over and over again. :headache:

And of course, no tour of Pop is complete without a stop here:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2737.jpg

Unfortunantly, Goofy's pop jets are closed. :guilty: But we still had to check out to see if the car was real or not. BTW its real. Poor Corvette drives no more.

We then cut through the food court on our way to Everything Pop.

I stopped for a photo of the new Burrito Bar Menu

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2738.jpg

And then picked up some postcard stamps in Everything Pop which I still haven't used. :sad2:

Next on our list was checking in at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek.

Please I don't think we were at 1pm yet by this point. I love the idea of having something like dessert for breakfast. Probably why I like the chocolate buffet here. If you ever visit Boston, we'll go! I remember you saying Zoe liked them, it was the first of many times you came up on the trip.

I've only found a couple items to ever been too chocolatey for me. Its a good thing I got good teeth otherwise I'd probably have a million cavities the way I eat. You'll see. :rolleyes1

I would have NEVER guessed you hadn't stayed there Miss I Love CSR. :lmao: It's the first Disney hotel I can actually remember. I swear in the 80s we stayed at the Contemporary, but I'm the only one who remembers it. I'll have to find the photos from that trip when I go home at Thanksgiving. December's trip stays at Pop since its a budget minded trip and then January I get to try 2 resorts out!

Oh when I called to change our ME for December the lady on the phone said she had one person that was changing their resorts six times over their stay. SIX TIMES! She also mentioned it was a honeymoon or something, but still I would think you would get tired of unpacking everything and repacking.

I left off saying we were going to check in to the Wyndham Bonnet Creek, but its not our first stop. A few days prior (and those who read my PTR know this) I talked to b and she agreed to get PH tickets. Well, since money seemed to be a big deal I figured we could get her tickets from UT. The only catch? It was too late to have it mailed and the local pick up closes at 4pm on Saturdays and wouldn't open back up until Monday and I had an early morning pre-park breakfast planned for Sunday at the Crystal Palace.

So after our tour of Pop, g and I got in the car and drove to some random UPS store so I could pick up her ticket. I paid for her ticket and I'll have to let her know at some point how much she owes me. Seems fine now, but just you wait. :rolleyes1 After picking up her ticket, we headed towards check in for Bonnet Creek, they say check in isn't until 4pm, but there was a chance we'd have our room ready.

We pulled in and I missed my second chance of the day to get the Main Gate photo. :headache: We checked in and were accosted at the parking desk, where we proceeded to circle that we had no money and I have no phone number. Our room wasn't ready yet, but they did tell me it was in Building 5 and a high floor. They would call me when the room was ready so we could get our keys. We walked around the entire lake, looking at each pool and slide and all the things to do there. We then decided we should make our Walmart grocery run for things for the week. While in Walmart, I got the call our room was ready and after getting EVERYTHING we needed we headed back.

This time I was ready for the Main Gate and got this photo. g was nice enough to try and drive in the center so I got a good shot.

After enjoying the porch and settling in, I got started on dinner. b was arriving at 9pm and I was hoping to have a nice hot meal waiting for us when we got back. Lasagna, garlic bread, and salad. While putting the dinner together g decided to watch some tv. Except none of the TVs had signal! Our first call to maintenance and they were pretty quick about it. Seems housekeeping gets a little crazy dusting around the TVs and knocked the power out of all 3 TVs, an easy fix. While that was being fixed, I noticed we were missing a few key things in order to finish the lasagna, like foil and saran wrap. By this time it was probably 6 or 7pm, so we needed to book it to Walmart, grab what we needed and book it back so I could set dinner to cook while we were picking up b. We rushed over to Walmart, grabbed what we needed, came back set everything up, quickly cut a lower case b out of the poster board you see on the dining room table and took off while tracking b's flight so as not to miss meeting her off the plane.

We got to MCO just as her plane landed, grabbed the elevator down and over and headed towards her gate, just as fast as our tired bodies would carry us. Mind you we are at 9pm now, with us getting up around 8am and going to bed at 3am. It was pretty rough. We waited for what felt like an eternity and finally saw b! We then headed to baggage claim because her airline claimed her bag to be an inch oversized for carry on. :confused3

We headed home, where b admired the space and I finished up the lasagna and we ate and enjoyed the fact that we were going to have a wonderful trip together. I went to bed around 11pm (as I do most nights) and left g and b to catch up or swim in the lazy river or something. I was really out of it by now.

Next up, our ACTUAL first day in a Disney park!

I would have NEVER guessed you hadn't stayed there Miss I Love CSR. :lmao:

Ssssh....don't tell anyone. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Actually, I have a new favorite now, but we will go back to CSR too. ;)

Now exactly where is Bonnet Creek? Is that off the road where Downtown Disney is? It looks really nice and spacious. I don't know how you made dinner after the day you had and the lack of sleep.

Can't wait to hear about the first day in a park.

Hmmm let me think how to explain where Bonnet Creek is. Its like next door to the CBR. Go through the main gate, take the second (?) right towards Epcot, then get all the way over to the left and take that left. It was enough room that people didn't feel like they were tripping over one another.

I think I was still buzzing on being in Disney excitement. But I did have g use the sharp knives, he was a big help in making dinner quickly and efficiently.

I am with Kathy, :worship: that you were able to still make dinner.

The resort looks huge! I do like off property resorts cause they tend to be so much more spacious. We stayed at Floridays on our first trip to WDW and it was really nice to have all the room. Your room reminds me of it.

Good timing cause I just came on for a break from work and to fill you in on how our first park morning went! I think our whole walk around the lake felt equivalent to the walk around Pop we did. Walking to the bus stops didn't take more than 5 - 10 minutes. And because I go to bed early I didn't use any of the pools.

On Friday, g and I had decided that Friday was going to be like Day 0 of the trip cause it really hadn't started yet and Saturday would be Day 1. Well because of how busy we were on Saturday we renamed the days. Friday was now Day -1, Saturday was Day 0, and Sunday was Day 1. It was finally time to get to a park!

I had an ADR for the Crystal Palace at 8:05am. I thought if we left at around 7 - 7:15am, it should give us enough time to park at the TTC and monorail over to MK and get some uncrowded photos. I set my alarm for 6:30am (the only time I set my alarm all week!) and got up to take a shower. g woke up slightly afterwards and once dressed we went to wake up b. b woke from her slumber and after about 10 minutes (guessing on how long it took, it felt that long to me) asked if it was okay for her to skip it, she got sick on one of the flights and her stomach didn't feel too good. She also said she needed like four more hours of sleep. I went off to finish up what I needed to, and according to g, b said if she got to sleep today, she would be there for everything else this week (g come out of lurkdom and correct me if I'm wrong).

G and I headed out around 7:15am and shortly afterwards I was seeing this:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2760.jpg

I flashed my AP and we drove on in. The parking lot was....................... well I'll let the pictures of the parking lot explain how busy the TTC was.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2762.jpg

Yes I take photos of row numbers too just in case. But we were parked in Aladdin 36, which is the front row for the most part, and we walked under the tunnel and into the TTC. We hopped on the resort monorail, used our APs for the first time and headed down Main St. to get our photos on. We didn't make it too far before we got stopped.

We were invited to take the Fire Engine up the street to the Crystal Palace. :yay:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2768.jpg

I was so enjoying the ride, I forgot to take pictures up Main Street until we were by the castle.

and seeing the Crystal Palace

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2773.jpg

When we exited the fire engine, we stopped at the PP guy right there and got a couple pictures taken along with a Magic Shot with Tink. I did what any good DISer would do and took a photo of the back of my PhotoPass card and we checked in.

Originally the reservation was for 4 but now there was only 2 of us. I explained the situation to the nice girl at the counter and it was no problem. Here's your buzzer and someone will be calling you soon.

Up Next breakfast and pirates.....

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: you made it (I was wondering if the monorail would be running for you as it was down the day we went and had to wait for the ferry and almost were late).

How cool is it that you got to ride in the fire engine up Main Street? You are the first person I've ever known that got picked for that. :yay::yay::yay:

Can't wait to hear if you loved your breakfast as much as we did.

Well, I loved it last year which is why I had a reservation in October, and one for December, and one for January. :lmao: I also  Eeyore. I got in a whole conversation with a lady in Epcot who was wearing Eeyore ears like Mark's. Seriously, Eeyore has always been a favorite of mine. I took the fire engine as a sign that the pixie dust from the travel delay had arrived and it was going to be a good trip.

I know, I was a little hesitant at first cause the whole reason for the pre-park opening ADR is for the photos, but then I realized I need to relax, how many people can possibly be picked to be driven up Main St. to breakfast. Ah yes, the quiet before the storm as I think of it. If only she saw how early mornings are a good thing.

I know... I think for some people sleeping in is so huge that they overlook how getting up a wee bit earlier can save them so much stress and hassle. (at least that is how it is in my house) I just hope that I can get the guys to get up in the mornings or it will just be Zoe and I doing CP in the morning ....just like you and g.

If they want to sleep in, let them and just go off to do your own thing and have them meet up with you later. Just let them know the night before, if they want to sleep in they can catch up and deal with the lines later.

*****I changed the photo of g cause I found a better one from this breakfast. The previous photo was from our crazy "first" day*****

We were quickly called to join them for breakfast and were seated on the right side of the restaurant in the middle. We ordered a chocolate milk (me) and orange juice (g) and decided to wait to go up to the buffet because Pooh wasn't too far away. There was probably 10 - 12 seated tables before the character got to us at this point. When Pooh was only a couple tables away Eeyore came over on our side and I was set that I wasn't going anywhere until after Eeyore!

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2780.jpg

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2782-1.jpg

Then it was time to hit the buffet! I loved getting the Pooh's Puffed Toast from the kid's section and adding fresh whipped cream and the yummy berry mix to it last year, so I repeated this. I also remembered I liked the potatoes last year. And people talked about the raspberry crumbcake.

Here's my plate:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2783.jpg

I guess I wanted a Mickey waffle too and wanted to see why people don't like the chocolate Mickey waffle. I understand now. :sad2:

I didn't really watch what g got, but he amused me and let me take photos of his food too.

His plate:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2784.jpg

There's some salmon, Disney bacon :sad1:, pancakes, Puffed toast, and crumbcake.

While eating, I decided I didn't need to see Tigger and Piglet, we got seated late and Tigger had entered our area while we were paying, and there were about 20+ tables seated before he would get to us, so we headed out a few minutes before 9am to head out and get a ride in, but which land would we head to?

We headed to Adventureland because it was the closest land to us, and walked and walked and walked until we got to our first ride of the day, which was Pirates. We needed to pick up g a GAC, but we didn't want to battle the opening of the park crowds to get down to Town Hall, so we decided to give it one ride's time. From there we visited Pixie Hollow to see Tink and friend. (At this point I was very forgetful of having my own camera and everything is on PP, which I'll start editing after Halloween). Tink's friend (you'll have to wait for photos to see who it was) Told us to "Fly over Mainlanders", I heard "Fly over Ladies" and started to crack up. Both fairies were very perky and chipper for so early in the morning.

Then we walked down Main Street and to Town Hall to get the GAC, while exiting Snow White was meeting people on the side of the building and I had to get in line.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2786.jpg

I expressed some concern over where she was situated because she is surrounded with red apples!

We grabbed a couple I'm celebrating buttons for us re: AP and a Happy Birthday button for b, her birthday was at the end of September.

We took a seat on a bench and I took a picture of Main St. and sent it over to Ann, which became one of many random photos she would get during the week. While sitting we saw these guys:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2787.jpg

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2788.jpg

And we approached about doing a survey for Disney which we did happily, since we are in Disney and all.

We then headed to get a FP for the Princesses and meet Mickey, but not without stopping here first and this time I remembered I had a camera.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2789.jpg

Up Next: meeting royalty, a magician, and lunch.

tankgirl427
10-28-2011, 12:39 PM
The princesses had a 20 minute wait while Mickey had a 5 minute wait. So we scurried over to get our Princesses FP which was only about 20 minutes away figuring we could see Mickey and by the time we made it out, it woudl be close or time to use our Princesses FP.

I told g to act excited to see Mickey

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2792.jpg

I liked these stickers on Mickey's trunks

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2791.jpg

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2790.jpg

Next thing I knew it was time for us to meet the Mouse himself and Minnie!

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2793.jpg

Minnie was a big fan of seeing herself on my shirt.

As we exited through the gift shop, we had about 10 minutes before we could use the FPs for the Princesses, so we sat right outside and watched the crazy long lines for Pluto and Daisy. I noticed Mary Poppins was meeting people over by Le Chateau. Did I spell hat right in French? :confused3

Next it was time for us to blow by everyone and meet some Princesses! g had no problem taking pictures with the princesses unlike BF. And to make things go smoother we just agreed with every Princess that we were each other's Prince and Princess, I couldn't figure out to explain in Disney terms that they would stop asking that we were just friends. Maybe its easier to play along then explain the truth? Whatever.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2796.jpg

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2799.jpg

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2800.jpg

After this we decided it was almost noon and b was probably awake so we should head back. I'm not sure if she was up when we got back or was awake in her room with the door shut, but I think she was still asleep when we got there. :headache: But its okay because I wanted to take a few hours break before heading out again. This was my attempt at not being so commando in my touring.

I took the time to take more zoomed in photos from the balcony.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2802.jpg

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2803.jpg

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2804.jpg

At some point, b got up and got dressed, we all had something to eat (g and I had PB&J and I think I laid down for a quick nap) and by 2om we headed toward Epcot to nip on F&W booths for dinner.

Up Next: We are all in a park together!

I love meeting characters. You really should go in there, its so cute seeing all the little girls dressed up and excited to see grown up versions of their favorite princesses.

Yes, that puffed french toast is why I have a reservation there on every trip. Funny thing is, I don't see the resemblance to french toast, I'm not a fan of french toast, it tastes like dough to me, but I love that stuff!

BTW: Anyone want to join me to go to Disney for a quick weekend trip last weekend in April? BF won't go with me and I really want to spend my birthday in Disney and have my birthday breakfast there before the park opens. Anyone? Anyone?

I forgot to mention that the people at the parking desk were very insistent that b had to check in with them. We didn't do it the night before and b thought that at 2pm before heading to a park would be a great time to do it. After checking in with them we finally got to head out to a park, and being the uber forgetful dork that I am, took a series of photos to help me remember where we parked.

Our section

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2805.jpg

How far away from the Tram

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2806.jpg

And finally our row number (and you thought you were bad Kathy!)

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2807.jpg

We entered the park and headed to the Disney Visa Character Spot where we had our photo taken with Minnie and Goofy. From there we checked out the make your own video game.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2808.jpg

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2809.jpg

From there we headed to the Piggy Bank game

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2811.jpg

Then b decided she was hungry and needed something to eat so we headed to the Land Pavillion and Sunshine Seasons. b got some tuna salad thing from the cooler and g and I split a Strawberry Shortcake which I took a picture of on my phone and sent to Ann to tease her and see if she could pick out where I was eating food. This continued on a few more days and food items. I haven't taken the photos off my phone yet, so I'll add the random photos I texted her later.

After b got lunch, we went on Soarin' and then Living the Land, neither had been on it before and I liked seeing the pummelos. BF is a big fan of them. Its like a grapefruit but with a thicker skin and a bit sweeter. From there we started our tour of F&W, I was too busy eating to take photos of the food, especially with knowing that hundreds of other DISers had photos of those same items floating around.

I started with trying all three desserts at the Dessert station. The white chocolate macadamia nut with chocolate pearls was AMAZING! Next up was Australia where g and I tried the Shrimp on the Barbie, which was good and had an after spicy tang to it. In the meantime, b was waiting at Hawaii for a dark beer.

We then took the Friendship over to Morocco. We got to sit outside on the back of the boat which was really nice. We then headed to Belgium and I picked up the Mussels, Waffles, and Chocolates. I still haven't eaten the chocolates. The mussels were okay and the waffles were so so yummy! We then headed to the French bakery and split a chocolate mousse and strawberry tart. Yum! There was like no lines for the bakery, probably because of F&W. As we finished up, I noticed Marie was out and since b was missing her kitties and I was too, I thought we should stop and have some kitty time.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2814.jpg

We then went to the France booth and got the chicken and cosmo. The chicken was really good. I don't really drink so it didn't take much of the cosmo before I had to pass it off because it was too much for me. b and g didn't mind. G and I then split a Fish & Chips and b and g split a beer. While waiting for g and b to use the restroom in England, the middle booth rang and I answered it and was talking to some random person who's husband was coming down next weekend. I then asked Ann to call the right booth and while talking to her, the middle booth rang again and g answered. We then headed to pick up our free photo and took a ride on Spaceship Earth before heading home. We got home at 9:15pm and settled in for a full day tomorrow.

****Forgot we stopped to take photos of Spaceship Earth as leaving.

First, Mark and I will be in Florida in April most likely...but, unfortunately, not at Disney. He goes every year for business and he travels across the State. I now go with him every year because we end up in Naples and we get to spend a couple of days with Nicki and Todd.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who takes picture of my parking row; I may have to do what you do in future years. :lmao::lmao:

Gread update. I really want to go for F&W one of these days. Love the pic of you and b with Marie.

I like the "distance from the tram" parking lot shot - that'd be a good idea for me in just regular places, distance from the destination. I always think I parked closer than I actually did .

Is it weird that I still haven't had the strawberry shortcake from Sunshine Seasons? People rhapsodize about that thing, but I just always walk right by!

I could remember if we were the first car to pull or the second car, but for the life of me I could never remember how far we were going to have to walk to get to the car. I usually take photos on my phone to remind me where I parked.....everywhere!

I'm a dessert fiend so when we were going to go on Soarin' and b said she was hungry, I figured it was as good as time as any to try out the Strawberry Shortcake. It was good, but I wish there was more Strawberries on in it. Maybe if you need a sugar pick me up while you're there one time you'll get it. Ugh! I forgot that while I was waiting to place my order there was this guy asking if they had certain bakery items. I was like umm hello glass case, its all there and labeled for you. Then the young girl in front of me kept asking if they had cupcakes. Do you see a cupcake? No? Then they probably don't serve cupcakes here! Seriously people!

That's okay I forget to subscribe to almost everything, but I usually go back and read and catch up every time I'm on here. I could so go for a waffle right now, especially for breakfast!

***** I forgot to mention a little story that happen in Soarin' which made me realize this trip might be a little more difficult to deal with than I originally thought. We were in queue to go down to the Bays and be assigned a line. There was a family behind us and their boy was coughing, not a lot but every once in a while. b told the boy, it's polite to cover your mouth when you cough. To which the father replied, its an asthmatic cough, he isn't sick. And b replied still he should cover his mouth. I know lots of people might mention something or move or whatever, but the tone in which she said it was sort of disrespectful and I was worried that we would end up in one of those not so nice disagreements that happen in a queue. Luckily, no one said anything after that and we were placed in different lanes.*****

This morning I woke up at 8am with no alarm. I think all the days working and having my alarm go off at 6:15am to be at work by 8 might have helped, or it could have been because we were at Disney! I got up, had a bowl of Lucky Charms, and eventually made enough noise that g woke up. Around 10am b woke up and came out. g and I were ready to go and waiting for her at this point. She said she would just be a minute and would be right out.

At 11:30am, we left for AK. :headache::sad2::headache: Since we were getting a noon time start on going to a park, we would not be coming back to the room for a break and be going from AK to EP. When we arrived at AK we parked here

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2821.jpg

We took a couple PP pictures with the Tree of Life in the background and continued on. g and I had talked when I had finally arrived to Pop about our favorites in every park. In AK, we wanted to see the FOTLK, the safari, and EE. The rapids would depend on how hot it was and if we needed to cool down. By the time we got in it was only a short time before FOTLK was scheduled to start, so instead of heading there first, we decided to go to ITTBAB. g had taken me to see it back in 2006 and warned me about all the bad parts (stinkbug & hornets) and I tend not to forget weird things, so I was fine. g forgot about these parts and b had no idea. At this point I found out how much she can't do 3D, she sat through the entire thing with her bug eyes off.

After the bugs left the tree, I was hungry. I got up at 8am and had breakfast, but now it was time for lunch. No one else was hungry so I grabbed myself a BBQ chicken salad from Flametree. It was really good! While I ate, g was sitting on a bench and b went in search for a wide brim hat or in general shopping. After I was done eating we headed to Camp Minnie - Mickey to see the 1:30pm showing of FOTLK. Before the doors were open, g and b sat on a bench while I took the time to meet Goofy and Daisy. This must have been after b said she doesn't care to meet characters because I didn't bother asking if she wanted to go.

We had a really good safari guide, Angie. She did the script, but added a lot of personality and information to what she was telling us. Safari over, b and g were hungry and I can always go for a sweet! While they got food at Tamu Tamu, I headed for this

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2867.jpg

Which I promptly took a photo off and sent to Ann to test her Disney food knowledge. This became the game for today. Where in Disney am I and what am I eating? :lmao: Nothing like seeing Disney food to make you want to be there!

We then decided to make a loop and head out of the park. First up the rapids! Next was Everest, where I got to sit with a stranger. Not ideal, since the times I went on it last year I was with BF and I think sharing the seat with someone you know made me braver, cause I ended up looking like this on the drop

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2873.jpg

Yep, I don't like drops. b took a video and g looks like nothing is going on.

We then headed out to get over to Epcot since it was supposed to be quiet with the MK open until 9pm and having evening EMH.

Up Next: Epcot and fireworks!

It was so fun that you sent those to me. :rotfl: It is true, nothing like seeing Disney food to make you want to be there!!! But not being there...and getting my own personal "live feed" was the next best thing. :goodvibes Thanks for bringing me along!!!

Great updates! You are flying along.

I also want to some day...someday...do the tour in AK.

I too hate drops... long drops. I have never been on EE. I dont' think I ever will... I think my heart would stop. :rotfl:

Love the safari pictures...

Great pic of you and b with Marie...

And...what is this "piggy bank game"?

I am no seriously craving a cupcake!

I'm trying to get lots of updates done today. I've been working on carving the pumpkins, but I need a break. Maybe another update?

You know you earned your photos and live feed later on in the trip. EE is like BTMRR but a bit faster. I just close my eyes and you don't really feel the drop and its really the only drop. The Piggy Bank game is in the same Innovations building as Disney Visa. You get a Piggy Bank and choose what to save for and then play three games which teach you about savings and investing and at the end you see if you succeeded. I found it interesting.

Sounds like you did a good job keeping your cool and making the best of it, even with B being a bit slow to get moving. (Maybe she should have been drinking some energy drinks?)

I'm not so sure I always kept my cool, but I tried as much as I could. Sorry about that. There are more random Disney food pictures when I finally get them off my phone.

***** Forgot to mention that after getting off the rapids and walking to EE we had one of FL's 10 minute downpours, I think this delayed the parade by a few minutes, because we left around 3:45 - 4pm and we never ran into it *****

We headed off to Epcot and parked here:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/IMG_2813.jpg

Yep that's the same section and row as yesterday! After all the walking in AK, g decided Epcot might go a bit faster if he rented a wheelchair. Disney Visa spot was closed by the time we walked into Epcot, so we headed for TT. TT is g's most favorite ride. He told us that one day he rode it 11 times.

Hidden Mickey

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/IMG_2814.jpg

We only rode it once and then headed towards F&W. b went to get another beer from Hawaii since the line wasn't too long. While waiting for her, there was PP photographer by the entrance to the World Showcase and I looked at the nametag and it said Roy! Now last year during my PTR someone told me about the great PP photographer they had named Roy and Roy told them to look for his friend Frank. When I went last year, I didn't see Roy, but Frank was super nice and took extra special photos for us. Now I had found Roy! I told him the story and he took lots of photos of g and I. There are Donald and Daisy flower statutes. He took photos of us with both statues, focusing on just Donald, then just Daisy, and finally some magic shots with Tink! When you are at Epcot look for Frank and Roy for some amazing photos!

We then headed towards the Argentina booth, where I tried the steak with chimichurri sauce which was good. Then Mexico where we all had the flank steak taco. I thought this was really good. We then headed for Germany for the strudel for me, the beers for b, and the sausage in pretzel bread for g. By this time, I think it was getting close or just after 7pm, so We looked for somewhere to eat and set up shop for Illuminations. I had gotten myself a nice camera for Christmas and wanted to see if I could take fireworks photos, this was my first time out with the camera. But if we were staying here I needed to make one quick stop. I headed to the caramel shop in Germany and picked up some caramel corn and a caramel marshmallow swirl.

Some test shots:

You probably noticed it started raining while Illuminations was going. We started heading out and stopped off in MouseGears to check things out. I ended up buying quite a few things. We exited a very empty Epcot and had an easy drive home. All goodies will be at the end. We headed home and by 11pm I was ready for bed.

Next up: Day 3!

Are you posting today because it is better to write about a Disney trip than to look out your window and see snow in October. You are luck you have power. I only have it because I'm at work. I live in central Mass near Worcester and I have 6 inches of snow in my driveway. I think my calendar is slow.

Not really. We never lost power and only had about 2 inches of snow. I want to get as much written as possible as soon as possible so I don't forget any details! I didn't really get as much written yesterday as I would like so I figured I would update today and I needed a break from trying to get my pumpkins ready for tomorrow. Day 3 found us parking here

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN2874.jpg

at 10:30am. Not too bad. Today was a MNSSHP and had rain in the forecast. Originally, this was the day I wanted to go figuring not too many people would be there, but b and g never told me they wanted to go in the rain and then we didn't buy tickets in advance so, it was no longer a MNSSHP day for us. We took the monorail to MK directly. We went to rent a wheelchair for g and the nice lady told us, if we were going to be there for awhile, to buy multiple days at $10 a day rather than day by day at $12 a day. Thank you for suggesting that and saving us a few $$.

Once that was done, we headed towards Fantasyland. First ride for us is Winnie the Pooh. We had fun playing with the interactive queue.

From there we went on Snow White's Scary Adventure, while in the queue I made lunch reservations for us, since rain was in the forecast and I didn't want us stuck scrambling for somewhere to eat. After being scared on that adventure, we headed to the carousel.

g on the horse in front of me and b is way up front. There is a pole intersecting someone's head. Yep, that would be her. From there it started to sprinkle so we headed over to Dumbo so I could get construction photos.

***** I forgot to mention I also sent a picture of the caramel marshmallow to Ann to see if she knew where I was. Day 3 I decided to play a new game of taking random photos and see if she knew where I was. The first one was obvious, I'll post the phone photos later to see who knows they came from. *****

From Dumbo, we headed toward Liberty Square passing by Peter Pan and It's a Small World. Peter Pan had a 20 minute wait, while IASW had a 5 minute wait. We had been parking the wheelchair and g had been using the GAC with us to either use the FP lane or we'd walk the queue. Well at IASW, they were very insistent that he could stay in the wheelchair, so we headed to the wheel chair entrance. Well the entrance is right next to the exit ramp. Yes ramp. So I'm pushing (more like holding back) the wheelchair as its headed down the ramp, after it was drizzly and raining and what happens???? I slipped on the ramp with all that downward force and fell on my bum in the middle of the ramp on the way down, while people were walking up the ramp. I was so embarrassed. We got down the ramp and went through the ride. Wow the differences between DL and DW! IASW had been closed when I was there last year, so this was my first time going on it here.

From there we headed over to LTT for lunch, after being seated and ordering our food a family entered. Now this wasn't any family, there was a mother, a father, and a screaming son. The whole time from the moment they entered I hoped they weren't going to be sitting anywhere near us. And where did they get sat? At the table right next to us! :scared1: They tried to pacify him with crayons and paper and it worked for about 15 seconds and then he started screaming again. In the meantime, his parents had ordered meals. b went to the restroom and wash her hands, g went to the restroom and washed his hands, and then I went to wash my hands. While upstairs in the restroom with the door shut, I could still hear him yelling just as loud as when I had been sitting at the table next to him. I felt so bad for g and b still being at the table. I got back down and within five minutes or so, FINALLY the dad decided to take the kid out of the restaurant and the mom asked for everything to be packed up for them to go. I had never been so happy!

Shortly after they food arrived to go, our waitress came over and apologized for ignoring us but she wanted to get them out of the restaurant and we all appreciated that! I got the pot roast, g got the tri-corner sandwich, and b got the salad. b then asked the waitress if there was bacon in the salad, because it didn't say there was bacon in the salad in the menu. The waitress said no, there is no bacon in the salad, but I can double check with the kitchen to make sure. This continued for a few minutes before the waitress suggested maybe it was the cheese since its a smoked cheddar. Turns out that was what was making b think there was bacon in the salad. g ate about half his sandwich, b ate half her salad, and I ate enough pot roast with giving b and g a bite that it wasn't worth taking home. We got their entrees packed and at some point during the meal b complained about how expensive the food was. :headache: so I paid for everyone's meal since I didn't want to listen to people complaining (c'mon people you saw the prices when you ordered!) for the rest of the day.

We headed out and were just about to enter the new queue for the Haunted Mansion, when g got a call. So b and I entered the queue and left g behind.

I definitely can't wait to see the new queue for the Haunted Mansion, it looks awesome! (And yes, I can tear myself away from Epcot to check it out...for a little bit ;) )

After our ride on BTMRR, we headed towards Adventureland! No one felt like getting wet on Splash Mountain, well b and g minded, I didn't really care as long as I wasn't in the front row like last year!

We had a date with a Mr. Jack Sparrow, whom b was very excited to see. As we exited, we spent some time playing in the gift shop and then we let b take some pictures of Mr. Jack Sparrow himself during the pirates tutorial. From there we headed over to the flying carpets.

I also thought it might be fun to take photos in sports continous here. Eh, the photos weren't as fun filled, but one I just noticed has Splash and BTMRR in the background.

We then checked out the Tiki Room, which I liked. And now I'm singing at work "In the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room, in the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room, all the birds play and the flowers bloom in the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room". By this time it was almost 4pm and we have covered the basics in 4 lands and I wanted to get out of MK before the hoards of MNSSHP guests came to mix and mingle with day guests. So we loaded up, headed out and ended up here

At HS, this was the only day that Fanstamic! was not showing this week, and it was closing at 7 or 8? So we could have an early night. I wanted to try RnRC for the first time ever and check out Characterpoolza, which I can never spell right for the life of me. When we got there it was about 4:30pm, so knowing b wasn't going to want to hang out while I met characters that I really wanted to see, I sent b and g off to do ToT and RnRC while I did Characterpoolza and told them to meet me at TSMM. So while they went off and did their thing I got to enjoy this!

As I stepped out from my high of character meetings, I saw I had a missed call from g by about 2 minutes, so I called him back and we arranged to meet up.

Up Next: What's the 1st ride we go on together and what to do in the evening.

There are a few more funny videos to share with you guys. This would be why I said there might be more at the Art of Animation if you go at the right time.:rolleyes1 Search the DISboards for Character poolza. :rolleyes1

Oh I got a few other pieces of headwear this trip too. Meeko I think is a boy, since he doesn't talk I guess its up to you to decide? He likes playing with the headband, because in true raccoon form its shiny. I'm really hoping to get another update done tonight. I moved where I was sitting at work and now there are more people around. If BF isn't home, I should be free!

That was nice of you to pay for everyone's lunch at LTT...you kind of have to expect things to be expensive when you're at Disney! :confused3 That's why I like doing the dining plan, I don't even really look at prices of food, because it's already paid for!

Great character pics! I want a picture with those penguins SOOOOO bad!!! I can never find them, I go to the places people say they are and I can still never find them! I'll have to try Characterpalooza sometime! :thumbsup2

I really like meeting the characters, its just helps immerse me more in the Disney experience, rather than we're in a theme park let's get all the rides in.

Sorry for catching up in slo-mo. I can't believe you're already so far along! It's taken me a month to get to day 3 on my TR :lmao:

Regarding the parenting (or lack of), I've got to side with b on this one. Maybe her tone wasn't right, but there are so many bad parents out there, it's tough to keep them all in line ;). It doesn't matter if the kid is sick or not, he's still got to cover his mouth when he coughs! You might remember from Joyce's last TR that I actually had to yell at a teenager for trying to break a signpost in Adventure Land and then the dad looks at me like I'm harassing his kid!

It was later on touring Pop that I realized I was reading the wrong part of the book.:confused3:lmao::confused3 , the book never made another appearance during the trip.

You might remember from Joyce's last TR that I actually had to yell at a teenager for trying to break a signpost in Adventure Land and then the dad looks at me like I'm harassing his kid!

I think it was a combination of things that annoyed me with this. One was her tone, it was really rude. The kid wasn't really coughing, it was more of a clearing your throat type of cough and she had about 5 feet of space between her and the kid and he wasn't even facing her. I on the other hand had a girl who was part of that group moving up and down the handrail and kept going even after she would walk into me. I think if she had done it in a way that was more "excuse me, but I really don't want to get sick while at Disney, would you mind covering your mouth?" The kid wasn't trying to destroy any Disney property or anything like you saw.

Haha..."That's where we lost your sister's glasses..."

The most funny part of it for me is when he started talking gibberish. And we had lost my sister's glasses there 6 years ago, but somehow it turned into a year or two ago. :lmao:

When we left off I was finished with Characterpoolza and had just gotten a call from g. I called him back and they were headed towards the big hat. I asked for them to meet me at The Voyage of the Little Mermaid so we could head over to TSMM, but they didn't know where the Voyage of the Little Mermaid was, but they were by the Great Movie Ride and wanted to me to meet them there. Seriously, how badly does this ride need to be updated. This was my third time on it ever. I got the Gangster once again, the CM at the front said the Cowboys go to bed early, so you have to be there early in order to see them and off we went. The first time I went on the Great Movie Ride was in 2006 with g and I went again last year with BF. What's horrible is I could say parts of their speeches before they could. Of course, not wanting to ruin it for others, I muttered it to myself and waited for the ride to be over so I could get to the rides we came for.... TSMM and Star Tours! Finally after what felt like an eternity the ride was over and we headed towards Pixar Place and TSMM. I guess they had a rough sequence on ToT and g wasn't feel great so he said that b and I could go by ourselves. And here's one of the points I'm not super proud of myself, the wait time was listed at 80 minutes, so I told g he was going to have to go even with not feeling well cause we didn't want to leave him there for over an hour. So he sucked it up and went on the ride, which was really nice of him. We got a regular ride vehicle in the wheelchair section and was paired with a party of 5 in the same section. g and b sat together and I sat with someone from the party of 5. The ride was good and I ended up with the high score for the car. After that, we headed out.

Remember earlier how g didn't go on HM or the Magic Carpets? Turns out something with g's work got screwed up and he was going to have to drive the hour home to fix stuff and then could come back. So g dropped b and I off and we went up to the room while g went home. So it's around 7:30 - 8pm and b and I are in the room with no plans for the night. I suggested going to DTD, we could take a shuttle or call a cab thinking it should be about $20 round trip for a cab ride. b wasn't really into playing $5 for we could get down there right away. I would have paid the $10 since we missed the 8pm shuttle and would have to wait for the 9pm shuttle which meant we were not going to take the 9:15pm shuttle back and would have to wait for the midnight shuttle.

We reached the shuttle spot by 8:30pm and started to wait for the 9pm shuttle. At this time I realized I forgot my cell phone in the room on the charger. I didn't know I had time to walk back to the room and back to shuttle spot before the 9pm shuttle would show up. g left us around 7pm, it would take him an hour to get home, an hour to drive back, and he said he had 2 -3 hours worth of work to do, so we should all be back at the same time. The shuttle picked us up a few minutes before 9pm and we were the only ones on the bus. We were dropped off on the Westside by Cirque du Soliel and took the Water Shuttle over to the Marketplace.

We spilt a sundae at Ghiradelli

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3080.jpg

Then we headed to check out Basin and then we made our way to World of Disney. b offered to buy whatever I was getting in the store since she owed me money for the ticket. She picked up a dress and I got a few things too. -$100 for the ticket price with this little shopping trip I did. When we left it was 11:02pm which we all know means everything is closed and we have 58 minutes until the shuttle will pick us up. We headed over towards the Lego store and it started drizzling again.

We continued walking through the Marketplace and into the Pleasure Island part of DTD. While walking around Pleasure Island we had a group of girls walk past us in some questionable clothing, one piece of clothing that we found amusing was a pair of booty shorts that were entire in black sequins. Really not the best look. We finally arrived to the Westside around 11:30pm and found the only store that was still open! The Cirque du Soliel store, b is a fan of the show and I'm pretty freaked out by them.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3096.jpg

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3100.jpg

We got to the bus area and sat and waited for us bus to show up. Around 11:45pm, a Wyndham Bonnet Creek bus showed up and we boarded it. The driver told other people waiting that he was delivering them to the Wyndham Grand, which is the new hotel and only one tower away from where we are staying which would be much closer than the bus we were waiting for and it was here earlier! So we took it. We got dropped off at the hotel and proceed to find a door out and then try to work our way around the lake in order to get back to our building. We finally ended up in the pool area of Tower 5, but we couldn't get the gate from the pool area to the door to open, so we jumped the fence and headed into the building. We made our way upstairs wondering if g would be back or not, opened the door and there he was! I guess he got back a little after 9pm and didn't have to spend 2 or 3 hours at home and had been trying to call me and well I didn't have my phone. At this point b and g exchanged phone numbers. This was my late night for staying up and I went to bed around 1am.

***** Back story: I believe at the end of Day 2(it could have been Day 3, I can't remember anymore), we were sitting at the dining room table and g and b were eating leftover lasagna I made, and b started talking about her leg was itching and pulled up her pant leg and a cockroach climbed out. Nasty! Beginning of next day, someone showed up to ask if it was okay for the pest control to come and spray either the kitchen or the entire place for bugs. Needless to say the whole place got sprayed. b took a cover from the bed and shoved it under the door and didn't sleep well that night.*****

Up Next: Where to next?

Day 4 found me awake at 8am again. We were all up by 10am, but b needed more sleep because she once again didn't fall asleep until 4am because she had dreams that bugs were out to get her. This was fine with me because she had also made an appointment with the sales person that handles parking for 10:45am on this day. By 10:30am g and I were parking here:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3104.jpg

Yep, we were back at HS! I took my Dramamine today and was fully going to get my Star Tours on! We entered HS and g was hungry, we talked about food options and I mentioned the oh so famous Carrot Cake Cookie at the Writer's Stop and he was game to try that for breakfast. One little problem..... I'm not really sure where it is, but I have a feeling its somewhere between Star Tours and the Streets of America. I did happen to find it next to Sci-Fi without too much trouble, we didn't loop around at all and g got his cookie. He said it was really yummy and we headed towards TSMM. I really wanted to ride with g and see who would win.

On the way to TSMM:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3105.jpg

I'm pretty sure I won and did a little better than yesterday. We then headed on our way to try out Star Tours, but first I needed to visit Kitty.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3107.jpg

Then I saw these guys, but they line was already 35 - 45 minutes long so I opted to take a fly by photo

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3108.jpg

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3109.jpg

We then went to see Muppet Vision, which was packed! We ended up being in the last row all the way over to the right. When we exited we went to Star Tours, as we were making our way up the ramp, I came to a dead stop because Darth Vader and a few Stormtroopers were meeting with a family and I really wanted to take a photo of Lord Vader, but they kept us moving. While waiting for our turn, we made lunch reservations on my phone, because we all know that there are no good CS places in HS. I asked the family that was behind us if they had lunch reservations or would need reservations for them. So we booked them lunch as well. We were in the front row all the way to right. Wow! This ride is amazing! We started off with Vader stopping us looking for the Rebel Spy, then we went to the Wookie planet, then off to the partial Death Star with Boba Fett chasing us. It was so good! We had a bit of time before our lunch reservation at Sci-Fi, so g was nice enough to let me do some shopping (no I didn't buy anything I was trading vinyls) while waiting for it to be time. By around 1pm g got a call from b that she was awake, so I got to cancel the lunch reservation and we headed out to pick her up and go to lunch.

Next up: Lunch and the rest of the day.....Plus more Bonus Features coming soon!

First... ew on the roach.

Second... I would LOVE to see "Kitty" One of my favorite movies. I wish that like DL, WDW had a ride that was Monsters Inc. themed. The one in DL is so endearing.

Third.... how almost eerie to see the christmas decorations up..but not up...

Finally, I can't wait to hear how lunch went! :goodvibes

Ewwww I definitely would have been grossed about about the roach! Yuck!! Hopefully that bug spray worked - sounds like it was very much needed!! :crazy2:

Although it sounds like it was a bit crazy getting to DTD, a sundae is always fun! And I'm glad you found the Writers Stop without trouble - it is a bit tucked away, but it's one of my favorite snack stops! :goodvibes

Well with getting the AP I bought TIW for my trips. Since the dining plan says it can save you up to 20%, but with TIW you are saving 20% and they figure out the tip and everything. Plus it includes drinks! Even though, I really don't drink, I'm a lightweight.

I'm actually thinking about getting a TIW card, but I don't really know how it works! Do they just add up everything, take off 20% of the whole bill, and then include the tip?

Ugh, that's so gross about the bug! :scared1: I hope that was the last you saw of them, hope the spray worked!

I really don't like seeing the Osborne Lights not lit up, it's depressing!

Isn't the new Star Tours awesome! I love it!

That's exactly how TIW works! The tip is 18% everywhere except V & A's where its 20%. Plus TIW works at some QS places in AK! No other park allows that! And QS means no tip! Just the discount! I never saw the bug after that. I can't wait to go on Star Tours like fifty more times!

Sorry for no updates since the motherload on the 5th! Sunday was the day I figured I could enter our PP card so that I could do the least amount of extensions to cover me through my January trip. I had 241 photos with 75 photos being the bonus stock photos. Then I had to save them in assorted sizes and now I get to work on adding borders and stuff. Give me a couple days because this is all new and exciting and shiny, but I'll be back in a couple days with more updates!

When we were at HS in the spring, we left about 10 days before Star Tours opened...:headache:...Joyce asked me if I wanted her to skip it when she goes in May for when we both go in October, but I don't think I can be that mean. Besides, she'd just go on it and tell me she didn't anyway :rotfl:

You make me giggle... "exciting and shiny" I know you were having fun today with it. Were you at work when you were texting me? You make me jealous. I was at work too...so I can text just fine. However, I was out "in the field" today so no where near a computer. Just near strange people... and freezing. I swear I hate stores at this point in the year. It is like it takes who ever maintains the buildings FOREVER to realize that we now have freezing temps...so maybe turning on the heat would be a good thing.

Joyce and I love the Writer's Stop. :thumbsup2 Aside from the carrot cake cookie, it's one of the few places to get an iced coffee in WDW!

But the chances of the Star Tours ride she has in May and the one you guys ride in October will most likely not be the same.;)

When I last left off, which was quite awhile ago, g and I had been window shopping ( and I may have made a Vinyl trade or not) when b called and said she finally woke up. I had made g and I reservations for Sci-Fi for 1:35pm while waiting to try our Star Tours. By the time we made plans of picking her up and getting lunch and I started to cancel the reservation it probably was about 1:15 or 1:20pm.

So we headed out of HS and headed back to the room. g stayed in the car and I ran upstairs to get b out and pick up some coupons for where we were going for lunch. We headed out and I plugged in the address in my phone and we made our way to Sweet Tomatoes. It was really good and I ate way too much mac and cheese and dessert. :rotfl:

After lunch we headed back to Disney, but not before stopping at a grocery store because b needed to pick up vitamins or something like that. We were headed towards MK for the evening since Wishes and MSEP was going to be showing. Epcot had a late night and I figured most people had already seen Wishes and MSEP on the night that MK had evening EMH. By 3:30pm we were parked here.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3110.jpg

We took the Ferry to MK from the TTA. We rented a wheelchair and headed towards Tomorrowland since it was the only area we didn't hit. We started off with the Peoplemover, because b didn't want to do anything that might upset her stomach first. We then went on Buzz Lightyear. We parked the wheelchair and was going to enter the spaceships or whatever you want to call them with 2 and 1 like usual, but b thought it would be a great idea to squeeze all 3 of us in one. And guess who got to be in the middle? Me! Seriously? I love Buzz Lightyear and I wanted to play, not just spin us from side to side. g was on the left and b was on the right. g was having a difficult time firings so at one point I took over and aimed for some of the secret high scoring points and made sure to decimate b's score. Plus I figured out where they take the photo. So here's what 3 adults in one ride vehicle at Buzz Lightyear looks like:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3112.jpg

Don't I look like I was enjoying myself way more than I actually was?!?
My dad loves to take photos so I've learned to turn on and off a fake smile on a dime. I usually don't smile and when I smile because I'm actually happy or want to smile I look foolish.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3113.jpg

From there, b decided that she wanted to try Carousel of Progress. After seeing this last year, its a skip for me unless I want a nap or its really hot and I need a break. That song just gets stuck in my head and about 5 hours later I'm still singing it. From there We used our tickets to pick up 2 FPs for Space Mountain for b to use later. g wasn't feeling it and I was a little scared of it still after doing the one in DL.

At this time it was about 6 or 6:30pm and we head towards Main Street to find a place to wait out for the parade. We found a great spot. We parked the wheelchair between the curb and a tree and b and I set up between the wheelchair and some mechanical box. With that I let b hold both our spots while I ran to Le Chapeau, where I found the black bouncy Mickey ears for g and I found some awesome pink fuzzy light up ones for myself. Then I ran to the Emporium and picked up two Star Wars Vinyls and joined back up with g and b. g had a rough day today and wasn't feeling great and I was hoping the ears would make him feel better. g was excited to see the ears and he and I opened the Star Wars Vinyls and found..... I had picked the same two vinyls! This was the second or third time this had happened already this trip. At some point b disappeared for almost an hour going on Space Mountain, she only went on once and then gave the other FP to a father and son. Not really sure if one of them were going on or what. :confused3

We had a couple families with strollers park next to g in his wheelchair and other family with two kids on my right. I had brought my glow bracelets and started to bond a little with their kids. When b came back we sat on the curb and talked about letting the kids of the families behind us sit on the curb so the kids could see and we'd have enough room to either sit behind them or stand behind them.

It's okay because I have a reservation for January, I just really wanted to try the new menu and see if I should keep it. yeah I figured I might as well take a nice picture being squeezed in the middle and not allowed to go on my second favorite ride in MK! It was really tight. Not someone's best idea. Oh but there is more fun coming from an individual soon!

So I left off with b wandering over to Space Mountain for like an hour while g and I sat. g was hoping b would get back quickly because after the first half an hour of her being gone, he was hungry and needing a restroom. Well by the time she came back, he only had time for the restroom. b and I decided to let the two girls to my left and the one in the group behind me to sit on the curb instead of us and their moms were really happy and grateful. At some point the two girls to my left their brothers came and one asked if they could sit with them and the other stood. Note to self two adult sitting spots fit a lot of little kids. :lmao: Right before the parade started a mom came between b and myself and asked if her daughter could sit on the curb too, fine by us because there was still space and wasn't a big deal. Well the mom wanted to stand behind the daughter because she was scared she'd lose track of her. Not a big deal in my eyes since its one mom, not like a party of 15 and she was squeezing herself to not block anyone else's view. The parade started and the next thing I know b is asking the woman to switch places with me because the woman is touching her (not inappropriately, parade standing close touching) and b doesn't know her and would prefer her switching with me so someone b knew was touching her.

This gave me another :confused3 moment. Hmmm if you don't like crowds or random people touching you then why would want to be at Disney or ask to be seeing this parade when I told you it was showing only two nights. :confused3

Anyways, the parade was really good. All the kids were super well behaved, said thank you for letting them sit up front and instantly bonded calling and waving at characters together. It was so cute. The mom asked me at one point if b had a phobia or whatever of strangers touching her, which I said yes, because maybe she does? And she didn't seem too offended by it, she was still by her daughter. Alice noticed my light up ears and told me to show them to Mr. Snail since he has antenna was well. That was an awesome moment for us adults. :rotfl:

Great photos of the parade; I'm really sorry I missed it as we've not seen it since the last time it was here before it went away (does that make sense).

Very nice of you to let the kids sit on the curb in front of you; we do that too if the kids ask nicely or the parents. I won't let it happen when the parents are rude...ticks me off royal.

I don't know why she jumping in when I was talking about going on a trip to Disney. And it would have been nice at some point during the year if she mentioned she was a little over the top about germs and strange people invading her personal space or touching her at all. I'm sure the parade will be there next time you go. It's been showing since I went last year! Little kids take up no space, plus they are shorter than me so it doesn't really bother me. Now their parents on the other hand can, but these parents could keep eyes on their kids the whole time and we didn't move before making a tunnel and funneling all the kids back to their right parents.

Yeah, 3 people on Buzz doesn't seem like the best plan... You *look* very cheery though!

WARNING: Its not a fun fit, so don't try to see if you can do it! You would figure if you are going to Disney with a bunch of other people, you might have to be close to another person. Not like we can have the whole park closed down for ourselves!

Haha, B sounds... interesting.

G, on the other hand, is hilarious!

Sorry this update has no photos.

We watching the Magic, the Memories and You. I tried to record it, but people kept walking in front of me and the quality wasn't very good so no video for here. We then headed out of the park and headed towards the ferry. They let us take the wheelchair all the way to TTA which was nice for g. We got on the ferry right before it was leaving and while g and I were wheeling in, b just took off by herself and perched herself in the corner of the boast closest to the park to watch Wishes! I turned g around and we stayed in the middle of the ferry, but towards the back and if I crouched I could see the fireworks. So we got to watch Wishes on our way back to the TTA. We stayed on the ferry after it docked to watch the end of the fireworks and were one of the last groups to leave. We took the tram back to the car and headed for some dinner.

Tonight for dinner we decided to head for DTD and Earl of Sandwich. We found a rather decent parking space and headed to eat. g separated from us for a minute, I think to talk to Guest Relations or something?, but he said he would meet up with us at Earl of Sandwich. I'm not really a fan of cold cuts so I knew there was only one sandwich for me. I would have probably rather my bacon wrapped meatloaf at WPE, but I wanted to eat with everyone else. So we found a table, which just happened to be the same table that BF and I met up with g for dinner and ate at last year and b started staring at the menu. So I stayed seated so we would have our table. g came in and went to order and b went up with him. They ordered together, paid together, and then hung out filling up their cups together. And then as I sat for a few minutes waiting to place my order and not wanting to loose our table, I watched them hang out at the order pickup spot together? Really? There is two of you, one person should be coming back and sitting at the table so I can go and order! Now I should mention, like other people, I get a bit cranky and annoying when I'm hungry or tired. And I'm really hungry and I know what I want to eat and ordering is not going to take me long. Eventually either b or both of them came back to the table and I got up to place my order. I got the Cannonballs! with a peanut butter creme filed brownie and I think a soda? I paid got my drink and came back to the table. In the meantime, they order was up and they started eating. I waiting a few minutes and then left the table, because watching them eat was getting me more cranky because if one of them had come right back to the table my food would be ready sooner and I wouldn't still be waiting to eat. So I walked over to the food pick up area, waiting about 30 seconds and my buzzer went off and I feasted! I only had my soda and Cannonballs! and put the peanut butter creme brownie away for later.

After I sent b and g to the Lego Store telling them I need to grab something and would meet up with them. I think I grabbed a couple more vinyls in World of Disney, got behind a family with three sons and started talking about their new toys and then it was time for me to be rung up. Then I met up with g and b and I think we went back to the room.

***** Earlier in the week while waiting for b to get ready, g and I had sat out on the porch and I talked to him about how I wasn't sure how long I'd be able to deal with sitting around and waiting for everyone to get ready while I've been up. I hadn't done anything about it yet, but today was my day to indulge in things I wanted to do!

Also, bug update 2011. There was the night b found the bug on her leg that scurried under the fridge. At some point that night, b and g moved the fridge to see if they could find it to no avail. They left the lights on in the kitchen to discourage the bug from moving and went to bed. The next day they sprayed for bug, and according to g or b that night a bug fell from a vent in the kitchen and the lights in the kitchen stayed on again. *****

I woke up again at 8am and decided this was my last two days of Disney and I was not going to let anyone hold me back from what I wanted to do! I got up and got ready, g woke briefly and I told him I was going on the shuttle to wherever got picked up next and to call or text when he got up. I also left a note on the kitchen counter and took the shuttle schedule and headed out. There was a bus at the closest pickup and I went over and got on the bus. The bus was going to MK and then EP. I decided I'll go to MK since today was a MNSSHP night (we once again didn't have tickets, since the Tuesday people switched their tickets to Thursday and we didn't want a crowd) and was a low crowd day. We got to TTA and I took the express monorail to MK hoping for the first time that I'd get there by 9am to see the opening show! We were stopped on the tracks and I saw a train empty and stopped out the window and was really opening it was for the opening ceremony and I would finally see it!

I landed at 9:05am assumed I missed the opening show and walked with purpose towards my first stop of the day. If I missed the opening show, there was only one thing left to do! Make the Rapunzel Run! I was wondering when I made the turn to go up the hill rather than to cut through by Cosmic Ray's, why are there people already in there? Was there that many people that made the run that it already filled the 9:15am show? I got in line and waited. I found out I would make the cut for the 9:55am show and I surfed times on my phone. Its at this point I realized I made a silly mistake. Today was am EMH for MK. No wonder people are already in to see Rapunzel!

Eventually my time came and I was allowed to enter

After I finally got to meet Tiana who was super sweet. I headed over to Frontierland to spend some time on my favorite ride in the world. I grabbed a FP for BTMRR and jumped in line. It was about a 5 minute wait and I asked for the back row, got off and jumped back in line with a 10 minute wait in the back row again, when I got off, it was only about 10 - 15 minutes before I could get another FP. So I waited, grabbed another FP and jumped on for a 3rd ride, where once again I asked for the back row. This time the person in line of front of me was riding solo and we got to talking and she invited me to share the seat so I wouldn't have to wait for another car to pull up. It was her first time riding BTMRR in the back and loved every minute of it!

Up Next: What to do while waiting to ride BTMRR a 4th time and when will b and g get up and where will we meet.

Hungry... cranky... whatever... people eating together should order and eat together.

I've been trying to control my hungry crankiness. I tell the person I'm getting hungry (before the cranky starts) and usually give a warning of if I don't eat soon I'm going to be cranky (cranky is on the verge of starting) and then full blown crankiness happens. :rotfl: It wasn't even the ordering part, but if two people go up and leave one person behind, as soon as one person is free they should come back and let the other one start the process.

I love your solo morning! Good job on deciding to just head out when you are ready! :thumbsup2

I really regretted not doing solo mornings the whole time. I should have sat them down and said look I'm getting up earlier than you, so I'm not going to wait for you, let me know when you are ready and we'll meet. But then again, they could have sat me down and said, we want to sleep in, don't wake us up but if you want to get out to the parks early you can.

I'm glad you took off on your own and did what you wanted to do. Love the photo with Raphunzel; and so excited that you got to ride BTMR so many times in a row. :goodvibes

It felt like such a weight off my shoulders. We only did every ride once and then woudl go somewhere else. I wish some rides I could go over and over, but it never happened and BTMRR is my favorite in all of MK! I"m so bummed its down most of my trip in January.

I get grumpy when I'm hungry too - I can totally understand your frustration at EOS!

Good for you for going out for a solo morning! :yay:

I think I enjoyed this solo morning more than I had been enjoying time with b and g at certain points. Maybe because I could do whatever I wanted to do and not take in considerations of others, or maybe because I could meet characters and not feel guilty since b didn't really get the point of it. But why does it take until the end of my trips for me to start feeling the magic Disney has?

***** PP photos I'm up to Day 2 for editing and adding borders :cool1: One day it will be finished and I can have a break before having to edit my December photos!

Also, g texted me after meeting rapunzel to say good morning and see what I was up to. I didn't hear anything more so I texted him to find out what was up after my first three rides on BTMRR and before this part of the day happened. *****

I had about 30 minutes to kill before I could use my 2nd FP for BTMRR and decided maybe now was time to partake in my favorite snack breakfast in MK, a cinnamon roll from Main St. Bakery. I headed out of Frontierland and into Adventureland, where Pirates had been down all morning,, glad I wasn't on it when it broke down, I was about to pass by, but decided to stop for something that otherwise would have been passed up.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3176.jpg

The 4 year old that lives next door wanted me to say hi to Goofy for him and had been getting into pirates and dressed up like Peter Pan for Halloween. By the time I finished swashbuckling with the best of them, it was almost time to use the FP for BTMRR, so off I went back into Frontierland and through the FP line and requested the back row once again. Yes I love the back row of BTMRR. I request it everytime and don't mind waiting for it.

Now that I was BTMRR'ed out for the morning, I should really get some food since I haven't eaten yet. But it was noon now. And since we didn't have MNNSHP tickets for tonight, today would be a good afternoon to spend at Epcot. Food & Wine kiosks for lunch? Sounds good to me! By this time I was getting a little annoyed with the texting, I told b and g I was in MK and going to Epcot, to which I got the reply "do you want us to come pick you up or just meet you there?" didn't matter to me.

As I headed out of Frontierland, I found another quick stop I wanted to make to see someone while I wasn't wearing a Mickey shirt.

As I made my way down Main St. the Move It, Shake It Parade was starting again. I stopped next to a family with a Make A Wish child and after the floats passed by and I could hear, I told them to head for the hub since the floats park in a circle there. Here is my fifty time  running into the parade:

I made my way out of MK and told g and b to meet me at Epcot and headed for the monorail.

Up Next: Monorail fun, Epcot annoyance, and why b should never be allowed to push a wheelchair

Great TR! G is a hoot, b would bother me immensely....argh. You needs some Disney adrenaline nuts to travel with, who sleeps in at Disney :confused3

I'm bummed about BTMRR being closed in February. It's one of my favorites in DL and the last time I went I was pregnant and couldn't ride. Oh well, next time.

Thanks for sharing!

Okay, Betsy - seriously... if we do get in a girls trip during F&W in 2012 or 2013 - I can assure you between all of us 'planners' it would go off without a hitch. The right hand would know what the left hand was doing or risk being slapped... :lmao:

I'm sorry there have been annoyances on your much anticipated trip - but so proud of you for venturing out on your own! I would enjoy that kind of time, as well! :thumbsup2

Okay, I need to stop ignoring my TR to focus on other things, like packing for December, or changing my plans for December, worrying about packing for Thanksgiving, or anything else! Being on page 4 of the Trip Report Section is no fun!

I'm traveling with a fellow Disney adrenaline nut in December. It will be our first trip together. Which makes me a bit nervous. But we get along when we hang out. Its been mostly for Disney movies like Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3D double feature or a meal. I might have to change a few things in my January trip so my cousin can ride Dumbo and BTMRR before it closes. We land on the 6th!

I only made it on BTMRR 4 times that morning. I think I was getting woozy from not eating anything yet. I talked to g and we both think this was the Epcot day the wheelchair incident happened.

Tiana was making me feel like that was how I should be. No showing me how to stand required! I loved her. She was nice and took her time to talk to me and it was awesome! MVMCP before it starts, you, me, Zoe, and my friend. Back two rows! Get in the park ASAP so we can get in line by 5:30pm for the dwarves!

With 12 days to go before December's trip gets under way, we should really get this show on the road!

As I last left off, I ran into the parade heading down Main St. as I was exiting Main St. I made it on the monorail to TTC and then walked across to the monorail to Epcot. I was on the monorail to Epcot when I got another text from g asking where they were meeting me. Well by this point it should be obvious! You will be meeting me at Epcot. I can't push a stop button and get off this monorail anywhere earlier! I took a few photos on my cell phone while the monorail wrapped its way around Epcot. I headed through security and decided that it was about 1:10pm and the Disney Visa Spot opened at 1:30pm and I should get in line. If we took the Disney Visa photo three time throughout the trip each of us would have a group photo for a souvenior and it wouldn't cost anything.

While in line, I got a text from g saying they were entering Epcot, I told them them I was in the Disney Visa line and it opens in 15 minutes. While I was waiting for them I started talking to this nice family behind me. They were super sweet and we got talking on which characters we've met, and I may have told them to drop by the Art of Animation building around 4:50pm when they are over at HS :rolleyes1. But that's besides the point. I'm waiting for g and b to meet up with me in line for the Disney Visa photo that opens in 15 minutes. Then I get a text from g....... We are gonna ride SE (Spaceship Earth) and then catch up to you. Seriously?!?!?! Why wouldn't you come over here, take five mintues to get our photo all together and then we can ALL go over and ride Spaceship Earth? I know at this point its not g who wants to ride Spaceship Earth but b since our first ride our photos didn't come out and she kept talking about going back on it and getting the photo.

So here's my solo Disney Visa photo:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3187.jpg

As I finished up the family I had been talking to entered and I was singing that "Watch out for Goofy" song that happens during Goofy and Minnie time at Disney Visa Spot and Goofy started acting like Frankenstein and chasing Minnie around the room. It was really cute.

I then headed over to Mouse Gears, because we all know shopping can help calm us down, but it does not help our wallets! I got a text saying they were done with SE and I told them I was there.

Up Next: I see red!

I'm glad to know my frustration was not completely unfounded! I'm still editing PP photos for the CD which I won't be ordering until after the January trip.:rolleyes1 But I realized, I should hav taken more photos, just myself or myself and g, or myself and b, or g and b so that I would have more photos I'd like to print. My solo photos and the one time b was off getting her beer and g and I took photos are really the only ones I know I want right now.

You'll have to explain to me what that means so I can use it and sound like I'm being nice when I want to beat her over the head with a frying pan. Frying pans, who knew? If you saw the state of the house, Christmas decorations up from the basement, real life going on everywhere, and the entire upstairs (its only 2 rooms) taken over by my Disney trips. This weekend I have to go out to my cousin's, next weekend is Disney, weekend after is free, and then my parents are here (and neat freaks) for Christmas. Here's where my cryptic note taking gets a little fuzzy. There is an incident that happened and I think its this day, but I also think it happened on the way from Test Track towards the International Gateway. It either happened right now or it happened on Day after leaving Test Track. I'm pretty sure it didn't happen later in the day because we never headed that way, but Day 2 we headed from Test Track towards International Gateway. But g and I both feel like it happened today..... Now if I didn't lose you with that......

b was pushing g in the wheelchair. You see where this is going don't you? I was standing to the left talking to g over my right shoulder. When b ran over the back of my left ankle with the wheelchair and it hurt like a ......... well that word wouldn't be allowed. I told b to be carefully where she was pushing the wheelchair and got a reply back that I should have seen where she was pushing since I was talking to g. Seriously? What about all the other people walking to or around you that aren't talking to g, you're just going to take their ankles out too? She ripped a layer of skin, no bleeding thankfully, and for about a week afterwards I was black and blue. I tried to not put my actual feelings or annoyances in my trip journal since I was always worried they would read it.

...... Back to meeting them at Mouse Gear. After meeting up with them, we headed towards the F & W and I pointed out Club Cool. They still needed to try the Beverly. Now maybe I shouldn't have referred to it as "the Beverly", but still after standing me up in the Disney Visa spot for Spaceship Earth, I think they sort of deserved it. Maybe not g since he was all go with the flow, but I think we all feel b deserved it. :rolleyes1 From there we headed towards Canada and I got the Lobster and Scallop Pie in Ireland. It was just ok. I left b and g listening to Off Kilter, it was a tad too loud for me and told them I was going to walk around and I'd be back with the Molten Chocolate Cake.

So I took the time by myself to go to the Library in England and see Pooh and Tigger. Doesn't giving Winnie the Pooh a big hug just make everyone feel so much better?

Then over to see another friend:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3188.jpg

I headed back to meet them just as Off Kilter was finishing. I grabbed two Chocolate Cakes and b and I feasted.

Well I think that your Disney Visa picture turned out just great! :thumbsup2 It does sound like with the frustrating morning you were having that it might have been best as a solo pic!

I will say that those wheelchairs (at least, in our experience) are a bit tricky to maneuver around the Disney crowds, especially up and down hills. You should have seen us every time we were cresting the hill between the UK and the International Gateway (or vice versa) - inevitably there would be 15,000 people that had to walk in front of us at that exact moment!

(However, it does sound like you were an innocent bystander in your situation!)

"Bless your heart" has many meanings, kind of like how the word aloha means hello, goodbye, and I love you in Hawaiian. It all depends on how you use it.

"Bless your heart" is a form of empathy. It's like giving someone a great, big hug. When a friend starts complaining about her rotten boss, her no good husband, and how the kids are driving her crazy, we just shake our heads and look her in the eye and give her a heartfelt "bless your heart." It's our way of saying "Honey, I'm so sorry. I know just how you feel, and I'm glad that today it's you and not me."

When your cousin Susie does something just plain dumb, and your aunt Margaret calls you up to tell you about it, you just listen real close and utter a few "bless her hearts" when she pauses long enough to draw in a breath. That way you'll both know that even though Susie doesn't have enough sense to blow up a pea, she's still family after all, and we love her anyway.

In the South, we believe in being polite even if it kills us. So, when we just can't fight the urge to say something nasty, we follow it up with a "bless her heart" just to make us feel better. "Look at that poor woman trying to jog around that track. Her rear-end is dragging a trail, bless her heart."

And there you have it, Betsy! The 'how to' etiquette of using the phrase "Bless your/her/his heart." :goodvibes Use it wisely!

Yeah the way we were going it wasn't crowded, it was the flat section back by Test Track towards that building they never use but for special events. After that, I NEVER let b push the wheelchair and if she did, I made sure to stay far away! I had a few issues the first day, like barely stopping in time, but nothing where a person was injured. And when I barely stopping and was right next to a person I always said excuse me, and if I thought I might have hit someone I made sure they were okay. Ugh! That hill between UK and the International Gateway is a beast!

Your poor ankle! :sad2:

I might :rolleyes1 still have a few marks from the incident which is why I could tell which ankle she rolled over.

After eating our chocolate cake we headed thru England and pass France when a sign caught my eye and I looked down and immediately stopped and then stopped the people coming towards us. Who was it?

Princess Lisa on her MAW trip! I had been lurking the last few weeks about their trip. Who would have thought without knowing their plans or our we'd run across each other. I spent a couple minutes asking about their trip and we parted ways. b and g thought it was so cool that I recognized another Disboarder. g couldn't stop talking about it for awhile. We headed towards Japan where I had bought Cinderella couch cages for Pick a Pearl for b and myself. She wasn't interested in doing it, but I did. We spent about 5 - 10 minutes looking for the biggest ugliest oyster we could. What came out was a 7 1/4 mm pearl. I don't really know how that stacks up, but I thought it was fun and a bit embarrassing. I can't wait for my cousin and I to do this together in January.

We then headed towards the American pavilion where g bought a funnel cake because he couldn't believe that b had never had one before and that needed to be fixed immediately. I went to the Hops and Barley booth and got both lobster dishes. We stopped in Germany to check out the miniature trains.

We then watched the globe for Illuminations go thru the bridge to get put aside for later in the night.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3200.jpg

It was very unexpected! They were so nice tho. I didn't want to keep them too long but I wanted to stop them an say hi. I'm naturally attracted to shiny things and they had a glittery sign with them. I saw the sign and looked down and stopped in my tracks.

So did B enjoy her first funnel cake?? I have a fondness for the one from Sleepy Hollow in MK personally, but I'm sure that they're all great!

I'm not sure and I really didn't care. I love funnel cakes tho. I was all sorts of annoyed that I was picking up the tab for things left and right and b and g only bought things for themselves or each other. I got to eat the cold leftovers of their funnel cake.

Love the photos!

Love the photos and report. Sorry abour your injury. Why does every group seem to have those "special" friends who just don't get it sometimes. I mean like you want to say "really...did you forget to take your pills again so that you can function in our world today?" BUT we love them anyways don't we :rolleyes1 Glad your solo day was fun.

You completely get it!

Hopefully the updates come fast and furious over the next three days, because I'm trying to have this TR mostly wrapped up by Friday when I head out for my next Disney Adventure!

After Norway, we finished our way around the Showcase and headed towards Test Track. This entire time I was holding the bag with the panda hat and not showing g it, thinking it would make a perfect Test Track shot!

I found this hidden Mickey in the FP lane.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3206.jpg

I always ask if we can sit in the front row. And we had a blast and we then headed over to the Living Seas to visit with Nemo and friends. b and g shared one clammobile while I took another. I was not fitting three in one ride vechile again! And of course I spent most the time searching out Nemo. Nemo? Nemo! and singing in the Big Blue World. Afterwards, b started wandering around the aquariums while g and I went to see if a Turtle Talk with Crush was starting. This would be my first time seeing it. There was a group waiting to get in so g and I walked out and spilt up looking for b. We found her and told her we were seeing Turtle Talk and we entered Crush's world. It was super cute and funny. I must put this on my list for later.

We went upstairs to see the tank where this was waiting for me

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3210.jpg

At some point b caught up to us upstairs and g and I were ready to go. So we separated and g and I headed for Test Track Round 2 while b stayed at the Living Seas. g has a GAC and we had tried at TSM to bring a couple with us while the FPs were out but they said they would come back later and wait in line. Whatever! :confused3 So we really wanted to find a small group to come on Test Track with us. g only had 5 listed on his card, but when we saw this group we knew we'd make it work. We invited a dad, his two sons, and the grandpa to ride with us. At first the grandpa didn't make it pass the FP line entry guy, but I went back and got him. I made sure I stayed in the back of the line with him so g would only have to say his group ended with me. They were the sweetest things ever. Super grateful, it was their last day at Disney and they said we made their night. We asked if they wanted us to share a car with them or if they wanted someone else and they wanted to share with us. We let the two boys and the dad have the front row, while g, grandpa and myself sat in the back. The boys had a great time and immediately went right up to g and asked if we could go on it again. They were really really cute.

We didn't have time since it was almost 9pm and we wanted to get out of the park before Illuminations. So we headed towards the Living Seas to get b, but b had messaged g telling him she was at the spaceship? outerspace? it was some random word and the only thing that came to our mind was Spaceship Earth so we went and could have gotten on the ride but enough time had passed that we thought she'd be off in a minute and we could go. So we're standing at the enterance of Spaceship Earth waiting for b to the point that the CM at the line pulls the trash can in front of the line so no one can enter and the fireworks start going off. So where was b?

Turns out the random place she mentioned in a text to g was Mission Space. Seriously, learn ride names or text people proper descriptions so they aren't waiting for you in random places!

Eventually she made her way in the mad crowds. We waited for them to slow down and got to the car and made our way back. Tomorrow would be the last day on b's 6 day PH.

I know I'm so excited! It would be even better if Zoe felt better. But I'm crossing my fingers nothing goes wrong and she's feeling better and they are going. Because then I can come home and tell you they are just as amazing in person as on the computer. Man I hope I haven't set the bar too high. :lmao: I'm sure she is crazy busy today with three days to work with probably ten days on her to do list to conquer.

Congrats on your single digit day!

I keep saying it's time to start packing but the days are slipping from me!

We try, just sometimes its hard to convince people to walk on a ride with a stranger, like giving FPs away. Silly people! It was just one of those things where she kept talking about doing Spaceship Earth because she really wanted that ride photo and both times it didn't come up for her.

This day has a whole slew of Bless her hearts in it, for both reasons, if only I remember to enter that phrase in. :rolleyes1 The cats are going crazy running and jumping on everything and well being cats.

It's Friday. It will be Day 6 on b's 6 day ticket unless we come to an agreement on what to do tomorrow and if we go to a park b upgrades her ticket to a 7 day for $8 more. My flight tomorrow is at 6pm her's at 7pm. I get up around 8am again. g wakes up a bit I tell him I'm heading out again call or text when you want to get together. My mission if I choose to accept it is to do everything in in every park I can that I've wanted to do and haven't done yet. Oh yes there is a mental list. I grab a bus going to AK & HS. AK is the first stop. I skip it and wait for HS. We arrive a few minutes after 9am so the mad dash has already happened. I'm not feeling like pulling FPs and waiting for TSM today. I'd like to do Star Tours again, but I also have my December and January trips for that. I grab a times guide and check out two very important times to me. When is Woody & Buzz's meet start and Phineas & Ferb's? I wanted to meet Woody & Buzz when I was wearing my "I Love Cowboys" shirt on but that didn't happen since it was a 45 minute wait and when we passed by P & F they too had a 45 minute wait. :sad2:

Buzz and Woody were due out at 9:15am with P & F at 9:30am. Perfect! I headed towards Pixar Place to get in line but first stopped for some sharp dressed fowls. Once again these photos are on the PhotoPass CD which I"ll get next year. :lmao: After that I lined up and waited about 10 minutes to meet Buzz and Woody. Around this time I noticed my voice was starting to go, but that didn't stop me from greeting Woody with a Hey Howdy Hey!

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3211.jpg

I then headed over to see P & F thinking of checking it out for Stringbean. But first another photo of the lights.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3213.jpg

I got a vm from FedEx so I called them back in the Muppets gift shop and then got in line to meet P & F. I like the show. I tend to do the Isabelle part of "What cha doing?" a lot!

And then this happened and I knew I needed it on video for Stringbean otherwise no one would believe it.

Bless her heart Stringbean's PTR had this one part stuck in my head.

Feeling like I accomplished something I decided to head out of HS and get some breakfast. But not any breakfast, but a cinnamon roll from Main St. Bakery! I stopped and picked up two more Star Wars Vinylmations on my way out and sat at a bench between the TTC bus and the Contemporary/Poly/GF bus stop. The TTC bus came first and I was off to MK and breakfast..... or was I?

I told you I had a present from my trip for you! There is more later in the day too. If you go there as soon as it opens for P & F at liek 9:30am you only have a 10 or 15 minute wait. For most people while the director is there and the music is playing P & F rock out with you for your photos. I know you will have a blast. I just don't know if I'd wait 45 minutes for any character..... Minus all 7 dwarves this weekend:rotfl:

I left off on the bus for TTC. There was only about 5 other people on the bus with me. It's also a MSSHP night (our last night to possibly go) but once again we didn't get tickets and no one wants to pay day of ticket prices, so the park should be dead like every other MSSHP day, right? I walk from the bus parking lot over to the monorail and I see this huge line snaking (did I spell that right) back and forth. It would take a few completely empty monorails to get through that line. So I look over to the ferry once again HUGE line. Hmmm... What about the resort monorail line? There is no one there!

Umm people, I know there are stops on the way but it gets you to the same place and there's no one waiting! :confused3 A couple that was up there waiting told me that Oscola kids got the day off of school which is probably why its so crazy. We get into the MK station and its packed with people trying to get in, but silly people again, they like to go straight and not go all the way to the left or right. So quickly I'm on Main St. and on my way for a cinnamon roll! I stop to get a FP for the princesss because their wait is longer and I figure I can burn through the time eating. So I go visit Mickey since its only 5 minutes. Here I was brought into a different room than the first time. The crates are placed in different places, the stickers are in different places. :scared1: Shouldn't the rooms be exact copies so no one figures this out? Behind me are a newlywed couple, I have my time with Mickey and Minnie and as I left I whispered to Minnie, there's a newlywed couple coming up, make sure you have them kiss! I swear she looked at me and nodded like she knew.

Then it was time for my breakfast! The line wrappes around and out the door, but moved quickly. Between the monorail ride and this time g and b texted and wanted to know where to go today. I told them we didn't want to be in MK it was packed! I got my cinnamon roll, sat down and ate. I was wearing a Snow White shirt so I went back in that same location hoping to see her, but she wasn't coming back until 12:45pm. So I took a photo down Main St. and headed over to wait the last few minutes before I could use my FP for the Princesses.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3214.jpg

The princesses were sweet as always and I left Mk and headed for the Contemporary. This is where b and g were going to pick me up. I had heard a few times the day before how g had to pay $14 for parking! Yeah, if I was around you wouldn't have. :sad2:

:scared1: You must rectify that problem with your January trip! I always get a cinnamon roll, this time I had an edge roll, when I'm there this weekend I'm asking for a middle roll. I'm not a fan of edges. Like that brownie pan that makes every brownie an edge brownie? So not for me! I want the middle!

I apoligze now. This part has no photos. It takes place out of parks and in a car and it should have you shaking your head more than you have before. But its nothing compared to Part 4! I'm hoping to get to that today too!

So I met up with g and b at the Contemporary. There was at least an hour between them saying they would meet me there and picking me up. They had to make a CVS run. But this is when I was hanging out in MK and meeting princesses so by the time I walked to the Contemporary it was about 5 minutes or less.

g and b were sitting in the front seats. I climbed in the back and we headed off to Epcot. We went through these crazy back roads and saw all sorts of random things you never see when at Disney. Eventually we got on a main street and I think I went to checking my emails and messages. I was in my own world when I looked up and saw that there was a sign that said Epcot Turn Right. Literally the right turn was there where I saw the sign, so I mentioned it to g and he pulled a u-turn at the next light and then turned left towards Epcot. What were g and b doing in the front seat that made them so obvilious to the sign that told them to turn and any directions what so ever? b was looking at g's cds in the car and they were talking about music.

So we head down the street toward Epcot and I go back to texting or reading or something. There's no reason for me to talk to them because they are in their own world talking and I'm just sort of there to get them the free parking (at least its how I felt). Eventually I look up because its been awhile and we should be there or near by and I see a sign for Port Orleans and the Best Friends Kennel. Huh? :confused3 How did we get here? I've never seen this area before. I mention something to g and he says do you think we went too far? Uh yea! We turn around and head back and this time I don't do anything but look for signs. g makes some comment about why didn't I tell them there was a sign to turn. I respond with I'm sitting in the back, I can't really see the signs and there are two of you in the front. Maybe if you paid half as much attention to the signs as you were in your conversation you would have seen them! Frustration Level is now a 3 out of 10. How do you ask someone who can barely see out the windows to give you directions? There's two peopel up front why can't they see? Eventually we pull into Epcot. I give b my AP to flash and we head off to park.

Up Next: Frustration level 12!

I remember that this day I had been checking on the Lines app how the other parks were. And Test Track was down for some reason?!? We parked the car here:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3215.jpg

We headed for the gates and I picked up a times guide. I still had to meet Snow White! I saw she was going to be in Germany at 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm, and 4:30pm. Oh and I had to check when the next Indiana Jones was for b and Lights Motor Action for g. Well g mentions that the 3:30 and 4:30 Snow White visits is not going to work since LMA was at 4 (or near to that). So we headed to Innovations for our Disney Visa photo since it was almost 1:30pm, but there was a long line wrapped back past all the video games. So we went to see if Test Track might be up yet, but it wasn't. At this point, we were going to wait in line for the Disney Visa photo, but b decided she was hungry and g decided he could eat too. I told them I wasn't hungry because I just ate that cinnamon roll and I was going to get in the Disney Visa line. They said fine, they were going to grab food and meet me over there.

So I go back to Innovations and get in line. And wait and wait and wait. Either there are really long lines in Electric Umbrella or something happened. Eventually I make the turn by the bench and have my back against the wall that leads to the meet and greet. While there the family I met the day before come up and say they are going to HS to see what happens at 4:50pm. I tell them I might see them there. I'm not really into sitting on a bleacher seat for LMA so maybe I can tell them I'll meet them there after seeing what characters come out? I'm still waiting. By now its almost 2pm. I text them to ask where they are because I'm almost to the front of the line. I get a reply of that they'll be there in 7 minutes. The gentleman running the line is nice enough to let me step to the side and wait for them and tells me once they show up I'll be the next group to go in. g comes in and joins me and I ask where b is? She'll be a minute she's throwing our food away and told me to go ahead. Umm okay. I thought you were grabbing food and joining me. That means eating while in line. I guess not since they sat down and enjoyed their meal while I got to wait in line like a fool!

We go in and get our photo taken, pick up a FP for Kim Possible that b decided she wanted to try, and get outside and g wants to sit down and talk about what's going on in the next 48 hours. :confused3 It's now 2:15pm and Snow White comes out at 2:30! They sit me down and I start with well I want to see Snow White and that's at 2:30, then we can do Kim Possible, head to HS for LMA and Indiana Jones. Then tomorrow we have to check out and my flight is at 6pm and b's is at 7pm. Then g tells me that b wants to go check out the Kennedy Space Center and he was thinking we could get up early (see a problem yet?) pack up his car, let b drop us off at a park and she'd take his car with our luggage to the Kennedy Space Center and pick us up around 4pm so we could go to the airport for my 6pm flight. My face must have gone from this :sad2: to this :scared1: to this :headache: to this  And if you coudl find worse my face was probably at it. When I get angry, if you give me some time to myself I usually calm down quickly. I'm annoyed that its 2:15pm and I have to make my way to Germany for 2:30 and they think this is the best time to tell me of this plan!?! Let the person who is off in her own world with no concept of time to take our one car and all the luggage and go off on her own? I stand up quickly and say that I can't deal with this right now, you know I want to meet Snow White in Germany and I don't have the time. I either call my mom or Ann when I'm out of earshot and tell them what's going on. When I'm in Germany I meet a couple nice people in front of me that helps calm me down, but I keep getting texts from g says what the fudge? why did you jsut wlak way while we were trying to work things out? My reply: cause I wanted to get to the snow white line before it got too long. Also that was the first time I heard the plans that b was taking the car. My flight leaves at 6pm not sure if picking us up at 4 leaves time for me to check my luggage. g replies: we talked about it over lunch. she will come back in plenty of time. we coudl have talked about it but you left before we could.

So I calm down a little and get my photo with Snow White. I was on the phone with Ann right beforehand calming down for the photo.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3216.jpg

After the photo I get a text asking where I am and we decide that they are heading to HS to get seats for LMA and I'll join them there (in my head I'm saying not if I'm still annoyed!) I look at the Times Guide and decide to finish another Princess I haven't met yet.

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m163/tankgirl427/October%202011/DSCN3217.jpg

I then head to Mexico and get some Churros. I think I'm still calling Ann and my mom fuming and trying to calm down. I think I have Ann call me in England. Then I take the boat to HS and decide I'm just not going to make it to LMA, I haven't calmed down yet. I walk into the Animation Building, see my friends from the other day. We sit and talk for couple minutes when the mom and daughter get into the Incredibles line. They are in line for like two minutes when the doors open and characters come out. I skipped any characters I already saw, but I was really really happy with the turn out.

Ann Update: Her Boarding # was B2 and B3, so I was telling her to board with the family section, but that was right before the B section so I kept searching... (Yes I know I'm a control freak over planner, but aren't most of us?) there is preboarding for people with needs. Told Ann to check at the Gate counter and they were the 3rd group on the plane!

First of all... Betsy you are amazingly caring and I love how you are so attentive to Ann and Zoe!! :grouphug:

Secondly, because of above statement... your friend b is just... hmmm... bless her heart. :rolleyes1 Second Kathy's comment - why would you give someone a vehicle who bears little to no responsibility for schedules, other people's feelings, and feel good about it...

:sad2: This is pretty much all I can do after reading that! How frustrating and annoying and how could the Space Center plan be a good idea???? Interested to see how this one works out, my first instinct would be to just get a taxi!

Oh yes! I forgot to add all my " bless her heart" to the last update. I was already a bit on vacation mode by that time. This weekend was crazy, exhausting, but awesome. We made rules for next time.

In one of my many phone calls to Ann on that day, she told me a story about them going to the Space Center and its about a 2 hour drive. I could see b in her own world thinking we'd call her when it was time to leave or something like that. Two hours is a huge drive especially when you trusting someone else when time is sensitive and all the possibilities of things going wrong.

I need to finish up this report, after I get some MUCH needed sleep filled nights so I can start my Dec TR and hopefully have that done by January's trip. We have a title for December and I took notes, plus we took food photos and a bunch of other ones.

After Indiana Jones was over g, b, and I head out the exit. When we get out g looks at me and I look back and b isn't there. Where's b? We take a spot near the exit and watch everyone walk out and no b! A few minutes after everyone else had left the building here comes b strolling out like she's skipping out early on something. Bless her heart! G asked what we want to do next. I'm getting frustrated again because we're doing what b wants, and only what b wants for the last couple days and she's off doing her own thing with no respect for there being other people on this trip, one who has other plans! b mentions to us that there is a backlot tour that she's interested in, starting in 20 minutes. Okay when did she start looking at times guides or disney apps on her phone to figure out when things were happening? Oh and she wanted to do Star Tours because she missed it on the day we were there without her. :sad2::confused:

I really can't put up with b or imagine having to sit next to her on the tram so I excuse myself and tell them I'm going to head back to Epcot and pick up the photo. As I head out of HS, I'm getting more and more frustrated about how g keeps choosing to do things b wants to do instead of asking both of us what we want to do. And he seems to be supporting her wanting to drive two hours each way with all our luggage on departure day, and how come navigating to Epcot was my fault we missed turns when there were two other people up front? I'm all worked up now and see that the water shuttle has just left and I decide I'm going to hoof it to Epcot to hope I calm down. Also, my battery keeps saying its low so I think this is a great time to turn my phone off and just be in my own world. By the time I make it to Boardwalk, I'm still fuming so I go up to the lobby over to congiere and ask if I call up Disney Reservations and there is a room is it possible that I can get ME to take me to the airport tomorrow? I go on and on to this girl who is earning her ears about how I can't deal with the people that I'm on the trip with and I don't really want to be around them anymore, nor do I want to be at Disney. After finding out I only need three hours before my flight to notify ME, I'm feeling much better. If b still wants to go with her hairbrain scheme, I'll have g drop me off at a hotel, or take a taxi to the hotel and be done with them. I can't wait to back up my things and be gone!

I stop by the Boardwalk Bakery and pick up this little beauty to go.

Note to self: Either eat in the same day or put in the refridgerator. Not so good left out at room temperature the next day. :sad2:

From there I make my way to the International Gateway where I offer some of the cupcake to the lady doing security. I walk to England, where Ann is busy with her mom so I have my mom call me in England and we talk and I vent. Eventually I walk over to get my photo and text g that's where I am and my battery is about to die. And it does, just as a text from g pops up on my screen. I get my photo and head over to Guest Services where since his number is on my phone I can't call g, but I leave a message thinking that g used to work for Disney so he'd think to check and see if I left a message. I ask what time it is and look at the shuttle bus schedule and see I can make one back and start packing. Which is exactly what I do! I plug in my phone and once I can turn it back on, I let g know I'm back in the room. Then I call Ann and put her on speaker while throwing my stuff in the luggage. We talk from 8:40ish until 9:45pm when g and b finally get back. That's an awful long drive from Epcot to the room. I hear some excuse about an accident leaving and their making food and do I want something. Nope, but did you happen to bring my sweatshirt from the car? Oh you saw it but didn't think to bring it in? Thanks guys! I'll go grab it myself. I get told the car is on the 2nd level by the stairs, so I walk to the far end of the parking lot up to the 2nd level and guess what!?! No car! It was parking on the 2nd level of the near stairs which we had never parked at any other night. I get my sweatshirt and head back in for what's sure to be a long night.

I believe I was still on the phone with Ann the whole time that I was getting my sweatshirt out of the car and returning back to the room. She brought up a good point of them texting me at like 8:40pm and saying they were headed out, but not getting to the room until an hour later, it was like a 10 minute drive. And saying there was a car accident. (Remember this) Eventually Ann and I had talked enough that I calmed down and needed to explain to them that I was not entrusting my luggage and getting myself to the airport to someone who hadn't been on time for anything the entire trip!

They were hanging out probably watching Stacy TV, one of the good things about Bonnet Creek, when I told them that if they or just b wanted to go to the Space Center that was fine, but I'd book myself a room at Disney for the night so that I knew that myself and my luggage would get to the airport for my flight. I pointed out that the drive was about 2 hours and it made me nervous since tomorrow would be time sensitive that b would be getting back, that she wouldn't run into an accident or traffic or anything. At this point g breaks out his Ipad and looks up the directions almost to see if I was joking about the two hour drive. Its an hour and 40 minutes. Close enough! At this point b is on the fence about going because she is driving from LA back to Seattle and she doesn't really want to spend 4 hours in the car by herself when she has that long drive coming up in a few days. So g looks up ticket prices for the Space Center, its about $50 which he states he can't swing right now. I would have been uber pissed if he swung the $50 for the Space Center, but they never did anything about the Halloween Party, especially after I bought all the accessories we needed for our cosutmes. So the sun is finally shining on their brillant plan maybe isn't so brillant. And g asks me what I want to do, I tell them I said if we wanted to do another park the only one we should go to tomorrow is AK, but we didn't upgrade b's ticket for the 7th day, so I'd shop at the outlets or Downtown Disney and relax and then go to the airport. This option sounds good to all, so we make the plan to go to the outlets. b says she's going to head over the main building around 9:30am to check out (checkout time is 10am) and talk to them about the bug problem, and with that we finish our packing and go to bed.

Finally! Day 7, Cell Photo Photos, Souveniors, and Where Was That Answers!

I have never had a moment that I didn't want to be in Disney as much as I did at that point. Even when I did a marathon 16 hour full day jumping between MK and Epcot and feeling horrible from the heat and thinking I was going to pass out, I still wanted to be in Disney. I really really really tried not to spread my "I want out of here" feelings on anyone else I met who was there. Its just not fair..

It finally was here! Time to go home and I was beyond excited! I used my phone to check my emails again.... oh what's this an email from b with their video from Spaceship Earth. Hmm seems a little weird timed since its been days since they were last on it and supposedly they left right at 8:40pm. I still have yet to open that email, but I have a feeling they didn't leave right at 8:40 like they said they were doing, but someone....needed yet another ride on Spaceship Earth, then they made an excuse why it took them so long to get back and in another brillant move, emails all of us a copy of their video. *Insert hand hitting head here* :confused3 Seriously?

I woke up around 9am. b said she was going to get up and talk to the front desk at 9:30am and I wasn't going to bother dealing with her after seeing what she emailed me. g woke up and we sat and talked for a good long time and worked pretty much everything out. Like how they felt they were doing everything I wanted to do the entire time and they would suggest things and I would poo poo them. Yeah cause I wanted to go on CoP again and I chose to skip meeting characters I really wanted to meet. Seriously, what part of sending me a message saying I'll let you plan the whole thing cause I can't and then complaining because I said what we should do does not make sense?

Things hashed out with g enough that we were on good terms, I got up and got ready. By now it was about 9:45 - 9:55, I heard noise in b's rooms so I thought she was up and had already gone to the front desk like she said she was. She came out of her room at 9:55 and yep you guessed it, she hadn't been down yet. :sad2: Check out by the way is 10am. I am one who likes to be punctuncal for check out so they can get done what they have to. There are dishes and things in the fridge that need to be cleaned out, my cc was on file for the deposit, which she said she was going to put hers (which she never did) luckily no charges showed up, and as far as what Dis people said had to be done for check out and what she was doing, two totally different things! She went downstairs and called/talked to someone who said she was all set for check out, just drop the keys in the box on your way out. She was just like, leave everything where it is, its their job to clean up after us, we just rented the room. I was stil annoyed with her so I started cleaning and throwing away whatever I could, including the park maps I got her when g and I were running around DTD that first day(which became day 0) that she never even looked at!

Everything was finally packed up and g's car was loaded and we headed off to the Disney Outlet, who's address I got from Kathy. The drive was uneventful and we drove to the exact address Kathy gave me, but it was a tacky strip mall, with a big mall across the street in one direction, and a big beautiful outlet mall across the street in the other direction. Hmm, it was probably in the big outlet mall, so we headed there, but first we had to stop to get b some food at the Taco Bell next to the strip mall. Now that she was wolfing down her food we could drive across the street and see if we could find the Disney Outlet or parking. We drove about 1/5 of the way around the building when b annouced she had to get out of the car now! It seems that eating her Taco Bell so fast and driving 10 mph around the outlet mall wasn't working for her, so she insisted we let her out she would sit on a bench and we could come pick her up when we decided what to do. :confused3

g and I drove around the whole mall, not seeing a Disney outlet, then pulled over so I could look at a Directory, yep it was here! So we went back to where we dropped off b and found a parking space and walked over to where she was laying on a bench. I think this was the time she was laying on the bench. I'm not sure. G and I went to the Disney Outlet while b stayed on the bench, until she texted g she needed something out of his car and I stayed in the outlet until I was done, then I realized I could cut through the food court, noticing their food options as I went since it was getting close to lunch time. YUM! Five guys! :yay::dance3::yay: Granted there is a Five Guys a mile from my house, but its been a whole week without their delicious food and I had been eating it regularly at home. So I meet up with g and b and now b wants to look at the Disney Outlet, I tell them I'm hungry and I'm going to get Five Guys which makes g want Five Guys too. So g and I get a table and food while b shops. After she finishes shopping something in the food court is bothering her so she heads back out to the bench. g and I finish and head for the bench. In the meantime, she's not there. So g stays and I wander around checking out the stores. I tell him I'll be back soon and find myself lost amongst (spelling?) so many awesome things I wished my suitcase wasn't fully packed, but maybe its a good thing!

Then I wander upon a Dooney and Burke outlet! I wander in just to see if they have any Disney Dooneys and am about to leave when I see a little table by the door with Disney Dooneys 40% the price. I start looking and calculating and decide I can afford one. I head back to meet up with g and see if b is there. B isn't there, but she's going to be soon g reports. Eventually we all get back together, we load into g's car and we head for the airport. g drops us off and we head off to check in and drop off our luggage, we give each other quick hugs and maybe we'll have the same side we're departing from so we can hang out. I get all set with Jet Blue and start going through security and I get a text from b with her gate, she's on the other side. Oh well! I get to my terminal, relax and be very grateful I'm going home. BF even offers to pick me up from the airport if I dont' mind waiting for him, he will leave work at 10pm and my flight is due in at 9pm. No problem with me because I miss him and can't wait to see him!

POSTSCRIPT: I bought b's ticket for her, then she bought me some things at WoD, which still left a balance for the ticket she owes me. We haven't talked since the airport and I doubt I'm ever going to see the money for the ticket, so everyone please note, don't buy tickets for your friends unless you see the money up front!

I'm so sorry that this was definitely not the trip you had envisioned! The annoyance and frustration really did last until the end, didn't it? Unfortunately, I've learned the "never lend money to friends unless their check to you is in your hand" lesson as well. :sad2:

HOWEVER, your Dooney is adorable!!! (And the rest of your souvenirs are really cute too!) But I had guessed when you said you got one that the princess bag was going to be the winner!! Good for you!!! :cool1:

Yeah the frustration did not end the entire trip from Day 1 to Day 7! I had gotten the Princess Bucket bag when it was on super sale and I couldn't resist the smaller one! I had BF buy me one last year and it had the multi colored teeth on the zipper and it so might be my favorite thing about it.

I love that D&B bag!!!!

I still can't believe all that mess with B. It almost seemed .. at least to an outside reader that maybe B and G might have been flirting a bit? Maybe just my take on it?

Seriously if you have a car, check out the Disney outlet and then the Dooney and Burke Outlet. What's really funny is that I was feeling especially the day I was sitting in the back seat that they were flirting as well and they were so wrapped up in paying attention to one another they totally forgot to look at the road signs. I did mention that I felt like a third wheel on a date with them to g on Day 7 when we were leaving and we talked over things. I just find it funny that you picked up on it too, or it could be how I portrayed things.
