Let's use this thread to post our Halloween pics, and stories.

Want to see decorations, jack-o-lanterns, and most of all your kids (and yourselves if applicable) dressed in their costumes for trick or treating.

Trick or Treating at the MNSSHP on October 10, 2011.

I dressed for the party. I am Captain Jack on vacation. You decide if it is Sparrow or Skellington.

The top is a wig but that is my real beard. I grew it out for a few months, DW braided it, wrapped it, and then those are WDW beads hung at the end of it.

So, here we are inside MK. My youngest is Princess Tiana. Her choice last year at BBB. My oldest is disco Minnie. That was her dance recital outfit this year along with bling Minnie ears.

This thread is a great idea. These are DS and DD costumes this year. We looked everywhere for a Flynn Rider costume, but could find a decent one south of $100 so he decided he wanted to be prince instead. We are starting with a Pirate costume and modifying. DW made the wig for DD.

The guy who does this is a local pharmacist and has people come from all over to hlep him each year. They start a week or so in advance. The dip the pumplkins in something that helps to preserve them until after Halloween. It is amazing to see in person!

I'll just remake Mr. Sewell and Master Gracey's tombstones again. The other missing one was just a store-bought styrofoam one. And maybe I can still do something with the animated tomb-lifter guy. He may be fixable/salvageable. I did go out this afternoon and take most of it down.

According to her and her friends the boys are in their geeky stage and not very interesting. Haven't broken it to her that she needs to get used to it, we don't change much. I also like the classroom pic. Have to find out who took it.

As promised, here we are during the Halloween Party on the Dream. It was supposed to be held up on deck 12 by the pool, but rain forced us into the grand atrium on deck 3. DD is a Bumble bee, DW is a butterly, DS is Anakin Skywalker, and I'm Obi Wan Kenobi. There was supposed to be trick or treating during the party, but since the venue had changed, they didn't have enough time or space to get it set up. So they pulled out the ship's roster and delivered bags of candy to each stateroom with a child registered in it. And not just crappy candy - good stuff like Resses PB cups, M&Ms, Snickers, etc. Huge kudos to DCL for that!

Wow Barry, that's great that DCL made sure to deliver candy, but I take issue with the fact that they only delivered to rooms with children... especially when we're talking about peanut butter cups. I know you missed this conversation while you were on the boat, but there's a bit of a push from a few of us Dads to make them another official food of the DDC!:thumbsup2

More like a combination of the two. Supposed to be Davey-s county, but the locals somehow get it between that and Davis.
