Well Dan decided that as he started the PTR I should start the TR soooo here it is !!!!!
First let me introduce the CR Team ( Carol and Rosie(Sam) )

For those who haven't followed our Joint PTR, we are half of the 2 Teams of Escorts that have the priviledge of taking Special Needs groups to Disney soo we get a FREE vacation and spend time with some amazing people !!:banana:How did we get so lucky well I talked frequently to the Agency that organizes these trips as the Site Manager of a Group Home , I sent people every year on these types of vacation and ... they asked me if I wanted to be an ESCORT!!! I told Carol(my Boss) and she wanted in soooo the Tean (CR) was formed . This was Carol and I's 2nd Escort Trip to Disney.
I can not show pix of the Guys due to HIPPA and all !!So I am limited on what I can post in the way of pix !Okay enuff chit chat let's get done to busines;:banana:

October 13th : Departure Day began at the ungodly hour of 3 a.m with waking uo getting dressed and waiting for Carol to arrive . Also had to wake up DD Judy who was less than pleased to be up at that hour:rotfl2:We wer on our way to Buffalo airport by 4 a.m !! Most of our guys beat us to it :rotfl2: Dan and Cathleen arrived a few minutes after that we were met by one of the agency ladies we had never met before and I think I wood have preferred to keep it that way:rotfl2:But we soon were on our way and going thru security !!
Then the Drama started :scared1:Nancy had nort eaten and just as we got to the desk to check our boarding passes and ID's she almost passed out:scared1:The Security quickly got a wheelchair and rushed a second guy over to help get us the **** outta there :rotfl2:
Next hurdle was the actual searching etc .. This is always such a hassle for so called normal folks , just try it with the MR population :rotfl2ooh if I raise my hands in the body scan it goes off let;s do it agin :rotfl2:, Or if I take my belt off my pants will fall down:rotfl2:But Carol and I work well together and I go first and then make sure there stuff comes thru and move it on down and tell them where to sit and wait . Carol at the rear makes sure thestuff gets on the belt and they know to hold their pants up without a belt !!:rotfl2:
So we are now safely thu all that and can relax a little and get to know these guys !
I whipped out Wooden Marv and explained they would be following him thru the Parks !! This is what I love about these guys they were fine with that idea :lmao:

We board the plane and Drama #2 Hello dumb stewardess these guys can't read which seats they should be in let alone figure out where to put there luggage, I know they are holding up the line BUT can't you see why!!!:sad2:

The flight was on Jet Blue and I forgot to mention that the sweet luggae checker upgraded us for free to even more room seats:banana: These were awesome and we loved the TV's , full size coffe and 2 snacks on this flight :banana:

We landed on time , in fact a little early , while I did potty breaks Carol went to find our 8th traveller who flew in from Syracuse and before ya know it we were headed to teh Magical express and on our way to POP. Stay tuned for the rest of Day 1

Well I will begin day one at 4:00am with a phone call from Rosie: “Are you awake?”… Well up, dressed and listening to “normally-sleeps-in-past-noon-pre-coffee-Cathleen” using choice language not suitable for Disney as to why we have to be up at such an ungodly hour… but “awake” would not be the term to describe my condition. We had stayed at the La Quinta Inn around the corner from the airport to make our wake up time as late… :rotfl2: “late” :lmao: as possible… Well as I still half asleep dreamily sang zip-a-dee-do-da Cathleen sang Shut-the-F#@%-up:rolleyes1, but we quickly went through the Tim Horton’s drive thru on the way to the airport, scarfed down some bagels and chugged some coffee :drinking1 (the last cup of decent coffee for the next couple days) and arrived to almost all of our travelers already waiting for us at the airport.

I collected meds and Cathleen collected money to hold on to for our group and we introduced ourselves. I mentioned that Cathleen and I work together and jokingly that I’m her boss… we she quickly interjected with a smile that I was off call for the week and SHE was the boss for this trip! It’s always safe to at least let a woman think that so I compiled. We go through security painlessly (my security issues would not be until 6 days later!) we get some more coffee and wait till we board. The non-stop flight was smooth… unlike our time at the Orlando airport! I had not mentioned that we only meet 7 of our group of 8 travelers in Buffalo; we had an 8th coming in from Albany that we would meet at her gate in Orlando. Her flight didn't land till 25 minutes after ours and we were on time so should have been no problem right? WRONG!

Thanks Magdalena !! Firstly you kept the secret VERY well !!I was completely surprised on Saturday by Marv in the Lego Store and I hear you also met Dan !!!
Your gifts were promptly taken to High School by Samantha who was trying to impress visiting students from Germany who she said were "HOT" :rotfl2:Which remids me she hasn;t returned them she took the calendar ,the empty cookie box and the bag:rotfl2:She was VERY excited to see those gifts :rotfl2:Their last name is German I believe and she has always been fascinated by anything German and Kyle of course is crazy about NUTCRACKERS !!!

We flew Jet Blue for the first time so we both were unfamiliar with the terminal !!But we found our 8th guest and finally found Magical Express without to much hassle

Check in was fairly painless and quick, 4 of the 5 rooms were ready !!Not bad and they were all together THANKYOU SPECIAL NEEDS :cloud9::banana:
We deposited our carryons and quickly descended on Pop Foodcourt for our mugs and first meal !! This where we had our first problem . We had a perfect system from last year !!We would use the cards from one room each day for our copunter service and our Table service !!Okay we had 5 rooms and 5 nights so each room had 10 c.s and 10 T.S .. with me !! Worked perfect > WEEEL get to the cash register and the cashier says , no there are only 2 people on the card and that isn't gonna work Carol looks dumbfounded . Not Rosie she says oH yes it will work either try it or call a manager !!So she tried it and discovered it worked !!Of course it did and YES I know these 2 cards now have 0 counter service credits !!
Anywho they all loved the food !!I of course had my usual the chicken alfredo , which I learned from Cathleen that they will substitute redsauce for the alfredo !!

So with full bellys and all our rooms now ready we head to Epcot .
First was getting the GAC cards which are RED not Blue as I had thought and Carol too !! We get 2 with 5 on each and the trainee who assisted us believed me and his Boss also explained why we got 2 .
First up was Spaceships Earth which was a HUGE hit , then Soarin' and th Land Boatride . We then headed to The World and in England

Then it was onto our First TS ressie

I have no actual pix to post of our meal as my batteries died in my camera , but ya'll know they cook the food on the500degree hotplate in front of you!! We had quite a variety of orders , swordfish scallops , chicken, steak and shrimp!!!:banana::banana:

At 8 :30p I dashed outside to look for a couple of ladies Magdalena and her sister Katarina !!! What a joy to meet them , they do have a pix to prove we met !!Thankyou ladies for the German ginger cookies and the calendar and of course the bag !!!Also the view from the Balcony there was the best ever !! PERFECT!!!
So our first day was complete and we headed back to POP for some much needed sleep!!!

Continuing onto Day 2 and our Safari Day !!!!

We were up and on our way to Animal Kingdom and arrived shortly after Rope Drop which was early that day Our first stop was for It's a Bug's Life which all enjoyed and Barb "LOVED it " We checked out the Tree of Life a bit on our way in and then headed over to Camp Minnie Mickie as we definately wanted to fit in Festival of the Lion King. We had seats up front and were in the Wart Hog Section . I always take loesy oix in there between th fast movement and the poor light so this was about the best shot I got

Again all enjoyed it an Barb LOVED it:rotfl2:

We lucked out and saw Pochantas on the Trails and all were excited to get their pix taken with her and her autograph !! We basically then took our time checking out all the shops and any animals we saw , like birds and monkeys as we slowly made our way to the front for our 3 hour Back stage Safari!!!:banana::banana:

Unfortunately they do not allow pix on the Back Stage , but we saw the feed barns, the kitchen where they make up various special diets , we saw the giraffe barn complete with a giraffe , we were actually on the other side of the glass where you watch the vets at Rafikis , they took us to the aviary which totally freaked out Carol who has a BIRD phobia !!:rotfl2:But we learned about how Guam's birds are extinct on Guam and cannot be relocated back there but are flourishing at Disney and other places , we had a small snack and a free Backsatge safari mug was given to each of us !!Then it was time for our Safari :banana: We basically went on the same safari as normal but the commentary was much more in depth and we stopped more . I just realised that we nearly could have met at AK that day as well. Katharina and I spent the evening there and arrived just when the parade was about to start - we tried to dash away before it arrived and headed to EE. If you had been between the exit and Asia, you would most likely having seen us on the parade route. Katharina was not impressed with me forgetting about the time the parade would run and then I also thought the parade would go around the other way. :sad2:

I'm guessing she was the one who was always "right there" intent to what was going on. I,ve eaten there 3 times and always had good service and food !!Tried the steak, chicken parm and the shrimp pasta all delish, I have only had the Tiramusu for dessert and that is outta this world !!!!

but if you want front of the line you cant see the train arrive at all.

So here again ..... We headed to DTD for supper at Carol's all time FAVORITE restaurant RAGLAN ROAD!!!:banana:As we were early we did a little shopping and then headed to The LEGO store...
As I was showing them something I hear a very authorative voice, and turn to see a large man ( tall not in an insulting way) It took a few seconds before I realized this was NOT security it was

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!!! I have been MIA while finishing up the second half of my college semester, it was just endless reading and papers! Missing a few days of class in October didn't help but we were in Disney... Priorities...:goodvibes

So maybe while on winter break I will have a chance to get on here and do some updates. I also will be starting to plan my People and Places trip for May 2012 PLUS I am planning to do a family trip either late 2012 or early 2013 so that is all to come soon:wizard:

Okay well while I have some free time after finishing my lunch I will throw in the rest of my Day 1 update (2 months later but better late then never!)

We traveled from buffalo with most of our group, Cathleen, myself and 7 of our 8 vacationers. The 8th person, Dawn, was meeting us from Albany and we had to pick her up at her gate when she arrived. Her flight was scheduled to arrive 30 minutes after ours so we figured we would have plenty of time to get over there... WRONG!:mad: Dawn who is a very independent woman was capable to fly on her own but needs some support and we were of course responsible for her. When I got off our flight, which was Jetblue, I asked someone where the gate was for Dawn's Southwest flight... Well... to get from our gate to Dawn's gate required to take the monorail/train thingy to the main terminal, then in order to get to Dawn's gate from there required to go through security again which I was not allowed to do because I did not have a boarding pass for a flight in that terminal so I had to go to the Southwest check in desk and talk to 3 different people to explain to them the situation that I needed to pick up a woman with as intellectual disability who could possibly leave the gate and go to God knows where in the airport... finally once the issued me a gate pass I had to wait thru security... yep shoes off metal detector and the whole nine yards! then on the train thingy... Then once I get to the gate like a hour late Dawn is no where to be found, I've never met the woman but thankfully had a picture of her. I searched around for 5 or 10 minutes then asked for assistance from the Southwest people at their desk near the gate which my initial response was that if she was missing for a long time I could call the police:scared1: really???? Finally after explaining to her my situation about 5 times a light when off in her head and she said, "Oh the woman you're looking for is mentally handicapped?":idea: Normally I would have taken the time to explaining the reasons we don't use that term but I just gave an exasperated "yes!"::yes:: She got on the phone with security and some of the Southwest employees, I showed her the picture of Dawn and the woman-hunt was on. Well within about 10 minutes I was paged back to the Southwest desk and they said she came back to the gate, I went over to the gate and meet Dawn who said she was sorry but I told her it wasn't her fault and that we should have been there sooner for her (which wasn't possible but I didn't want her to feel bad). I called Cathleen who was waiting with the rest of the group in the main airport area near the big water fountain and the Disney store and said that I found her and would meet them at the Magical Express welcome center... well by my error I told her the general direction towards Magical Express, down to level one and all the way to the end and you'll see the Disney buses. Well when dawn and I get there they are no where to be found... I call Cathleen again and she says they are there looking out the window and she sees all the Disney buses in terminal side A... Side A is ME drop off so those were the buses she saw and I was over on side B the ME pickup so I waited until Cathleen marched the troops over to meet us and finally the whole group was united and everyone meet Dawn.party: Cathleen was a bit frustrated by the whole situation and in much need of a smoke break, being in withdrawal since Buffalo several hours ago, she stepped out side for a few minutes.:smokin: We quickly boarded our bus but I was disappointed it was a Mears bus not one of the cool ME one so no TVs and no welcome movie:sad2:

But FINALLY we arrived!!!:banana:

We got to the Pop, I checked in while the rest checked out the gift shop and then we had lunch, got our mugs and then had some much needed rest in our rooms.:cloud9:

We also caught Pirates, Snow White and Small World before dinner at Liberty Tree, it was delicious!!! My first time there and I will go back, I higly recomend it! The only thing that would have made it better is if it was still a character meal but the food was great, and all-you-care-too-eat:thumbsup2

I am sorry for not keeping this updated more regularly !!This has been a busy week !! We went to the meeting about Samantha going to Europe and she is really excited about it !! She has to get 3 Teachers to fill out reccommendations for her and I know she took them to school today !!The things they will do is amazing !! They get to meet with a Member of Parliament in England , Learn hoe to make Chocolate in Belgium!! Visit the memorial and place a wreath for those who died in Normandy during WWII !! In Germany they will stay with a host family , it is just amazing !! 88% of the Ambassors get in to their first choice of college !! She is NOT yet guaranteed to go !! She has to go to an interview next month!! So it has been an exciting weeek !!With luck I will catch up on the Dis this weekend !!
