Credit Card Required for Reservation?

We will be on the DDP - can someone tell me why the credit card is required for certain meals? (Booked Akerhaus)

It's only to make sure I keep the reservation, correct? I won't have to pay for anything OOP if I stick to the meal plan, right?

Yes, it is only to ensure that you cancel if you are not going to show up. If you do show up you will not be charged anything.
