Well holy moley me oh my! Is Jenn starting her TR FINALLY?? Yes, yes I am!

For those of you that do not know me, I am inkedupmomma.. literally.. I'm tattooed and a mom! My real name is Jenn though.. two n's never one. Just sayin, it makes a difference!

For those of you that are much more like me (read lazy!) I will reintroduce us all! Although to get a really good feel of why this trip was so special you should at least read my intro on the PTR... I'm in a much more positive place now and want this TR to reflect that!

I am a 30 year old momma who loves all things Disney! My fav princess is Snow White and I cried on my 2009 trip when I "met" her at Akershus! I like tattoos, baking, bento box lunches and Autumn is my favorite time of year! (Going pumpkin picking this weekend!!!!) I am the very lucky of girlfriend of this man....

this picture sums Bob up! Fun, young at heart and a total goof ball! He is an amazing step dad (although he is much more than that to them!) and an amazing boyfriend and provider! Did I mention he LOVES WDW??? Not because of me either, he loved it before me! no questions why we have been best friend since we met! Bob is 31, LOVES Star Wars and his favorite character is... GOOFY! Of course!

I'm still not convinced that she isn't Bob's biologically! She is my Disney partner in crime! She LOVES Disney! Obsessed with it! So much so that she plans on becoming an Imagineer! She knows crazy history details about Disney that most knowledgeable Disers wouldn't even know! She is in 5th grade and will be 11 soon :( Her newest favorite Disney addition is the Nerds collection! She honestly thinks they made it just for her, modeled after her lol She likes being a nerd! She was hell bent on meeting Rapunzel this trip and that was just fine by me as most of her friends think princesses and toys and well anything childish is lame! They grow up too quick!

Next up is JACK!!!! My lil lovey dovey baby.... OK.. he isn't a baby anymore, but he is the baby of the family therefore making him MY BABY! this is a touchy subject.

I have no better picture to sum Jack up. This child LOVES to eat and at 5, almost 6 years younger than his older sister weighs as much as she does! I am not one of those moms that lets her kid eat whatever he wants, he is just built very differently than her. this trip was a dream for him based on desserts alone! He is your typical 5 year old boy who loves Toy Story, Cars and Phineas and Ferb, but like Bob he is OBSESSED with Star Wars! This trip was very cool for me to bring him on as it was almost like his first trip! He has been twice before but remembered little. He knew he loved it there but couldn't figure out exactly why... seeing his little face light up during this trip was awesome!

WOW, I am blushing! What a wonderful response! We have had a busy weekend with soccer games and all sorts of pickings (apples..pumpkins..etc) But tomorrow I will start day one.. or the drive down/day one!

Thank you all so much for joining in! For those of you that do not know, this may be slower moving than I would like, as my friend has breast cancer and I plan on helping her out whenever I have free time and she decides to drop her stubborn I can do it all behavior!

So I left you off with mad, tired, hungry people, a recipe for disaster for sure!

I don't think I mentioned earlier either, for some reason the excitement that I was going to Disney STILL had not hit me :scared1: I had mentioned my concern about that in my PTR and man it was still there :(

Dinner was very nice though! Our waitress annoyed the crap out of me but she was very efficient and never left us waiting for anything!

Everyone enjoyed their meals and my lobster pizza did NOT disappoint! My head was not Disney bound yet, so forgive the no food porn pics! I did however write down the cost!! The total was $66.00 without tip.. I'm almost positive Bob tipped 20% or higher!

Finally by 9:30 we were back on the road!

Right outside of the Red Lobster was Arby heaven, and I had to take picture because this was the biggest fast food place I have ever seen.... picture isn't great though lol

If you recall earlier, I mentioned that Bob took the first shift of driving. This meant it was my turn. this was NOT a good idea! By 11:15 I had to wake him up because I was falling asleep at the wheel! I do not do well when it comes to night driving. Surprisingly though he was wide awake and ready to go!

the night was uneventful as we were all asleep lol

I took over driving at 4 am... throughout the time Bob was driving I slept on and off for maybe 3 hours total.. maybe.. But at 4 am he just couldn't do it anymore, and I was ok with that! He got us through the rough part!

Around 6:30/7 am we all decided that we would skip stopping for breakfast and get straight to Disney! we were so close and another stop just didn't sound fun!

A tiny bit of excitement was starting to hit me.. but not my usual. This totally bummed poor Bob out and made him wonder why I had been so excited in trips past aka with my ex jerk... I explained that before Disney was all I had, now I had so much to happy about all the time, that Disney wasn't just it. Idk if it made him feel better, but it is true!

We started to see some more signs and I was getting excited, I had no clue where our resort was this time around!

Jack was REALLLLY excited, and now that I think about it, we took a video of that excitement! I will upload it to and then put link on here!!

We pulled in to POFQ at exactly 9am!! That was exactly what we had planned and it actually worked! I mean when does one say they are going to get somewhere at a certain time and actually get there then? Who? US! I was excited about that!

Sorry to cut this one short, but it s dinner time and I earned myself some sushi today! For those of you that work out hard, how do you keep up with spinning?? I made it through the class today, but MAN I got my butt kicked!

After looking at my Disney pics, I decided it was time to finally take a diet seriously! Even with sushi dinner, I will be way under my calories today! woot!

Next up, how convenient is online check in really? is our room ready? did we get our requests? and what did we do after driving for 21 hours?

I give you props for driving! I've done it a few times and have no desire to do it again! Costwise next time we do the beach we may, it's 17 hours(with stops) and I'm REALLY not looking forward to it.

well it's easy when you have no choice lol! I think I mentioned it in my PTR, but I DO NOT FLY! I am terrified of it. I have flown so I know that I hate it, enough to the point that i get sick if I even see a plane close up! Luckily Bob LOVES driving and has done a million cross country back packing trips! That def helped! My past trips have been dreadful, this ride was so smooth I was worried lol!

and yes, cost wise it can't be beat.

I hope one day my fear goes away as quickly as it came on!

For those of you that recall, Kayla had gotten sick the week of our trip! Yikes, I know! To make matters worse she was only in her 2nd week of school, so imagine my panic when I get a call on Tuesday that she had to be sent home early because she had a fever, and she couldn't go to school the next day or until she was fever free for 24 hours :eek: I go and pick her up Tuesday and she looks like heck, we go to the doctor the next day and she says it is a cold... if it gets worse take her to the ER while on vacation.... glad she just made a couple hundred off of me to give me no peace of mind! Our trip was a 2 week trip, which meant the kids would miss 10 fll days of school, which only 5 were family vacation day approved, the other 5 were excused, anything after is unexcused. Luckily the doctor gave me a note and that would take care of that half day and the day missed.

During all of this, New Hope and most of the east coast was being slammed with a number of different storms, which really affected our whole area with terrible flooding. Luckily our house was fine, but my boss had been evacuated and the day we were to leave school was cancelled....

No big deal you're thinking right?? Wrong! Since I can't keep a secret to save my life I told Bob we would surprise the kids and pick them up early from school that day. Why is that cool? Because they thought we were leaving the next day! As soon as I hung up the phone with the school, I went into panic. How was I supposed to surprise them now? How am I supposed to get all the last minute stuff done with two kids in the house. **. Bob calmed me down, as he always does, and we talked it out. We decided that when the kids came into the bedroom we would say, hey, wanna skip school and leave for Disney day early?

Well, that is exactly what we did, and cute little Jack was SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited! In disbelief really, he has no concept of time, so hearing that we were leaving today ( immediate satisfaction) was awesome! poor little Kayla was stoked, but still not feeling 100%, even after 2 days in bed!

I have to say, Bob is a master at packing the van. I thank all those years of Tetris and his OCD for this next picture!

Once the van was all packed up, I did a quick walk around the house with Bob and we turned off all electronics and unplugged everything! With all the terrible storms we had been having we didn't want anything to burn out or blow up like it had 2 weeks prior (cable box, modem, and router!!)

We were out our door at 11:20 and had to stop at my grammas house so she could say bye to the kids and give them a present, and so she could watch our plant. As luck ( read terrible luck) would have it, my dad was visiting my gramma as well, and he wanted to say hi. Funny thing is, he decided he was going to go for a run?? His wife was there and we all chatted for a bit. Finally we decided it was time to go and said our good byes. Just as I am about to pull away I get a phone call from my step mom. She wanted us to come back so she could give the kids some spending money, my dad had called her and asked her to. I go back in and she hands me some money. When I got back to the car I look and it is a $150.00 :scared1: Wow! I still don't like my dad, but it was nice of him to hook the kids up! At that moment I realized I never gave the kids the bags we made them! I open the trunk and they are so confused! I hand them each a bag and they are both ecstatic!

*Side note- In case you are wondering what winded up going in each bag, I'll tell ya! I bought the cute nerd bags as a gift in itself, then loaded them up with a shirt each, 50 pins each (bought on ebay..from a seller I will no longer buy from!), lanyards, mini m+m cases with pennies and quarters for pressed pennies, Disney squinkies for Kayla, a superhero activity book for Jack, mini Light Sabers that held m+m's in the bottom, and I think a little snack each. These were a huge hit, and the nerd bags were the perfect size to hold this stuff!

We were officially on our way at 12:19!

The ride was pretty much boring lol! We paid a $4.00 toll in MD ( adding in case anyone drives) and stopped for gas at 3:40. We had only started with half a tank. The cost to fill it was $67.44! ( and i'll add it in here, our 2nd stop for gas cost $55.00 and the 3rd was $60.00)

Finally around 7:30 we stopped at Red lobster for dinner. We had hit quite a bit of traffic in Virginia and were all kind f cranky/hungry/ tired of sitting still. I had chosen Red Lobster as I LOVE their lobster pizza. If you know me, then you know once I crave something there is no turning back. Well don't you know, we walk in and OMG, it was PACKED!!! Uhm, a Thursday night in Virginia on no special occasion and it is packed? Bob looks at me and says no way.. I look at him and he knows I'm not budging. I put our name in and she says 20 mins, that's not too bad. Well, you know where this is going don't you? an HOUR later we were finally called. Bob and the kids were NOT happy with me! Things were starting to look ugly......

Next Up: Did we make it through dinner, did Bob stay mad at me, and how do you do that LONG drive straight through??

Jenn, great update. I love the bags you got the kids...too darn cute.

I'm the opposite of you...I don't like my mother (my daddy was my hero and I miss him still); but that was very nice of your dad to give the kids some "spending money."

I love Red Lobster, but an hour is a long wait especially on an "off night."

So I left you off with mad, tired, hungry people, a recipe for disaster for sure!

I don't think I mentioned earlier either, for some reason the excitement that I was going to Disney STILL had not hit me :scared1: I had mentioned my concern about that in my PTR and man it was still there :(

Dinner was very nice though! Our waitress annoyed the crap out of me but she was very efficient and never left us waiting for anything!

Everyone enjoyed their meals and my lobster pizza did NOT disappoint! My head was not Disney bound yet, so forgive the no food porn pics! I did however write down the cost!! The total was $66.00 without tip.. I'm almost positive Bob tipped 20% or higher!

Finally by 9:30 we were back on the road!

Right outside of the Red Lobster was Arby heaven, and I had to take picture because this was the biggest fast food place I have ever seen.... picture isn't great though lol

If you recall earlier, I mentioned that Bob took the first shift of driving. This meant it was my turn. this was NOT a good idea! By 11:15 I had to wake him up because I was falling asleep at the wheel! I do not do well when it comes to night driving. Surprisingly though he was wide awake and ready to go!

I took over driving at 4 am... throughout the time Bob was driving I slept on and off for maybe 3 hours total.. maybe.. But at 4 am he just couldn't do it anymore, and I was ok with that! He got us through the rough part!

Around 6:30/7 am we all decided that we would skip stopping for breakfast and get straight to Disney! we were so close and another stop just didn't sound fun!

A tiny bit of excitement was starting to hit me.. but not my usual. This totally bummed poor Bob out and made him wonder why I had been so excited in trips past aka with my ex jerk... I explained that before Disney was all I had, now I had so much to happy about all the time, that Disney wasn't just it. Idk if it made him feel better, but it is true!

We started to see some more signs and I was getting excited, I had no clue where our resort was this time around!

Jack was REALLLLY excited, and now that I think about it, we took a video of that excitement! I will upload it to and then put link on here!!

We pulled in to POFQ at exactly 9am!! That was exactly what we had planned and it actually worked! I mean when does one say they are going to get somewhere at a certain time and actually get there then? Who? US! I was excited about that!

Sorry to cut this one short, but it s dinner time and I earned myself some sushi today! For those of you that work out hard, how do you keep up with spinning?? I made it through the class today, but MAN I got my butt kicked!

After looking at my Disney pics, I decided it was time to finally take a diet seriously! Even with sushi dinner, I will be way under my calories today! woot!

Next up, how convenient is online check in really? is our room ready? did we get our requests? and what did we do after driving for 21 hours?

Glad the driving all worked out for you. And having "breakfast" goodies in the car got you there at the time you wanted to arrrive. :woohoo::woohoo:

I love Red Lobster, but an hour is a long wait especially on an "off night."
I was shocked, but I figured by the time we got back in the car and found another place it would take just as long and i needed grub asap!

We had a last minute kid issue too, and a long drive as well. Love your bags. I tried making bags for state borders since I read that idea here on the DIS but I did not care for it, so next time maybe they will each get a bag at the beginning of the trip. :thumbsup2

I wasn't as excited as usual on the ride down either and I don't know if it was because this is my first Post Dis vacation (the obsessive planning instead of the regular planning = higher expectations) or because of DS. Either way, hope you found your magic :wizard:

ugh, having a sick kid right before vacay is not fun! it totally stressed me out! and wow, state border bags sounds fun, but my kids woulda been asleep! me too actually lol!

I still dont know why my excitement took so long to kick in, but it was annoying!

With that said, DANG, i'm still on day one?

I left you off with us pulling in on time like rock stars! We found a spot and walked through the doors to the lobby! I remember being surprised at how small it was! I loved it already! I didn't have my camera out at that point, so no pics yet..yet!

I forget what or where Bob and the kids did or went, but while they did what they were doing, I went over to the online check-in station. NO lines.. at all! I got in line and the very friendly CM's said come right up!

Within seconds I was done! Online check in ruled! I am never good at reading maps, so I wasn't sure what room we had gotten, and at that point I didn't care! I was starving!

It was at this point that I broke my no CS meal rule :O We decided we would grab a quick bite here, how bad could it be?

Bad, that's how bad. Bob is a dude and pretty easy to please, so he didn't seem to mind much. But I hated mine.

I got the bounty platter. It was just not good. and my oh my were the CM's rude and unwilling to help me figure out the DxDP. I am well versed in it, but not when it comes to CS. This wouldn't be the last encounter with rude staff either!

We also got an order of the beignets... another HUGE let down! Even Bob was let down by these!

We had also gotten our mugs while there as they are free with DxDP...I was sad to see that other resorts had many color options and ours only had the black, pink and blue ones!

I swore I took an iPhone pic of the bill but I can not find it. The bill was something ridiculous like $83 or something!

Once we were done we decided to go to our room and unpack.. OH right, did I mention that our room was READY at 9 am?? I thank online check in for that one!

We got out the map, bob looked at it and headed to parking lot 1! We were the first building!

What's so special about room 1140 you ask?? WELL, it was a corner room (first request met..2nd if you count room being ready at 9!), it was a ground floor room ( 2nd request met!) and it was right by the river! and had a courtyard view! Pixie dust had hit us! Oh and even better, we were RIGHT BY the boat that takes you to DTD!

I loved waking up every day and walking out our door to the beautiful courtyard!

When we got in our room I was pleasantly surprised by the size and the beautiful new refurb!

We immediately started unpacking and getting things organized. Id like to stop here again to compliment Bob on his mega awesome packing and now unpacking skills! God, I'd like to thank him for any help at all! We had that room unpacked and organized in under 30 minutes! Already this trip was different from anything I had ever experienced! (read, oh man, how nice to have help and not have to unpack,organize, take care of kids, and self all by myself!)

Take a look at this awesomeness! and YES, you aren't seeing things, we did bring our Keurig! I know you all hate that nescafe crap as much as me! and hey we drove, so why not!

After unpacking we all got ready ! We had found out a few weeks before the trip that the water park and more option meant that we had 10 park days and 10 water park and more entrances.. How in all of my Disney travels I had never known this is beyond me!

What this meant though, was that we could now go to a water park or Quest on our first day!

So that is exactly what we did, got dressed and headed to the boat for DTD to try our Quest! We are after all a nerdy gamer family!

the ride from POFQ to DTD was lovely and surprisingly quick! It was very cool to see the Tree House Villas along the way as well! I would punch a baby to stay at one of those!!

Finally we got to DTD and realized it was gonna be a hike to get to Quest as we were dropped off by EOS. Much to our delight though was a boat on its way to take people over to the other side of DTD! Within a few minutes we were on that boat and dropped off.

Bob is going to kill me, but I did not love Quest. Sadly we never made it back there though. I think if I wasn't so annoyed by the staff at the CS and not so tired I would have liked it a lot more! I also think my mind was on Magic Kingdom and I couldn't get past it!

It was def a cook place though! Everyone had a great time!

We stuck around Quest for about 2.5/3 hours and then figured we should head back to our resort so that we could shower and get ready for our 1st Disney table service meal of the trip! Spirit of Aloha!

I figured this would be a great way to start off our trip! Who doesn't love Polynesian food and fire dancers? Bob lived in Hawaii for a bit in his 20's and I knew he would love this!

The boat ride back was nice again, and I do not recall waiting very long!

We got ready rather quickly and were on our way over to the Poly! Best tip/secret, take the service road to avoid driving all the way around!

We found parking pretty easily, walk ed to where SOA is and were checked in in no time! Then it happened.. The sky opened up and down came that rain!

I have to say I am super impressed that you guys drove straight thru. Big props to Bob for night time driving. :thumbsup2 I HATE night driving myself and I totally get where you're coming from. My BF loves to drive too but I don't know if he would ever go for driving. I think you guys are only like 3 hours from us so it would be like 24 hours for us but that's pretty intense. Plus suffering from narcolepsy, long drives + me aren't a good combo.

Also, what happened with getting the pins from Ebay? Did you have issues? If so, not cool! I hope your kids had fun with the pin trading & made it worth it.

It bums me out that you weren't crazy about Disney Quest but then again after such a long drive, I cant say I blame you. I loved the Astro Blaster game! Did you see the creepy Pinocchio face in DQ too? Ill have to look, I have a pic of it somewhere but all I remember is how creepy it was! :scared1:

Loves the fact you had such a good time with online check in. I will have to do that next trip, our check in was a DISASTER so I will have to remember to do online check in next time.

We stayed at POFQ in August, and my only gripe about the whole resort was the CMs at the counter service! There was one lady in particular that was downright surly. She was working at the middle station-the chicken ceasar/waffle counter. The beinigt ladies were super nice when we were there tho. Love the room location!

Disney Quest looks fun, but we've never tried it. Maybe when DD4 is a little older.

Disney Quest looks fun, but couple times I went, just could not get into it. Too Crowded, didn't want to wait around to play games, when I could be having fun in the parks :laughing:

My BF loves to drive too but I don't know if he would ever go for driving. I think you guys are only like 3 hours from us so it would be like 24 hours for us but that's pretty intense. Plus suffering from narcolepsy, long drives + me aren't a good combo.

It bums me out that you weren't crazy about Disney Quest but then again after such a long drive, I cant say I blame you. I loved the Astro Blaster game! Did you see the creepy Pinocchio face in DQ too? Ill have to look, I have a pic of it somewhere but all I remember is how creepy it was! :scared1:

We stayed at POFQ in August, and my only gripe about the whole resort was the CMs at the counter service! There was one lady in particular that was downright surly. She was working at the middle station-the chicken ceasar/waffle counter. The beinigt ladies were super nice when we were there tho. Love the room location!

Disney Quest looks fun, but we've never tried it. Maybe when DD4 is a little older.

It seems that people either LOVE the beignets, or are very disappointed. I wonder if they taste anything like the mini-donuts at the water parks?

The first time I looked at POR and POFQ for booking our trip of two years ago, I didn't like it. But now the more I look at it, the prettier it gets!

I like Disneyquest, but have to be "in the mood" for it and not tired. So I would guess after a long night of driving might not be the best time to visit. It is so loud and busy in there.

Hope the rain didn't spoil your plans that night!

I last left you off in a nasty storm! Just our luck, a storm the night of our one dinner outdoors lolol!

They let everyone in and we had pretty fantastic seating, I was stoked!

Our waiter, whose name I can not recall right now, but that I do recall was old as the day is long was at our table in a jiffy!

He took our drink order and Bob was more than happy to enjoy some wine! I mean it was free with dinner after all, so why not! Drink up buttercup!

Soon after our drink orders was taken our food started to arrive!

*first course- pineapple-coconut bread, fresh pineapple, and salad with a mango-poppy seed dressing..

I hate mango, but I would have drank that salad dressing! Everyone at the table enjoyed all of the starters immensely! Best part was watching Bob enjoy everything! It was his first time dining at a Disney sit down, let alone a show while on a dining plan! Life was good!

Next up was the main course! Ribs, chicken, rice, and veggies.

Now those you that have been following me over the years know I hated SOA in 2008! Well tonight was different! The kids GRUBBED and Bob, well Bob was in food heaven, chicken and ribs are two of his most favorite foods! Honestly these did not disappoint! All of it was yummy as a matter of fact, MUCH better than anything I recall tasting there before. Not my favorite meal of the trip, but a nice way to start our trip! Also, last time we were seated at a long table with other families ( one who was VERY racist) and this time we had our very own table!

and you're not going to believe this, but I got NO pics of the main course! HEY!!!!!!! I was Disney rusty!

Not for too long though because the rains picked up again and the show stopped.

We sat there for quite a bit, and then finally the show manager ran out to the middle of the floor and explained that he was very sorry, but they had another dinner show very soon, and needed to prep for that. There was no time to do the show since the rain was not letting up. He the said they were going to do something they had never done before and refund people 50% of their cost, whether that be cash payment or DDP credits. Honestly, at that point, we were all so tired that it was fine by us! The show went on a bit more, but we paid and left!

When we got back to the resort I found a BEAUTIFUL bag from Disney Floral, full of all sorts of amazing treats and fresh fruit!

I'll give you one guess who did that?? JOPHIA!!

I'd like to say I have a picture, but my children are scavengers and tore that thing to shreds before I could even say a word!

I won't lie, having a gift in your room that you weren't expecting is probably the best feeling ever! bob was just at a loss for words and couldn't believe that someone would do that for us! They are the best friends ever !!!:hug:

While the kids were going over each and every treat and making a plan of when they would eat them, I called Jophia to thank them!

I'll say it again though! Thank you Jophia for being awesome friends and for throwing that very generous and unexpected pixie dust our way!! We loved it!

After our phone call, I decided to start decorating my window... sadly i did not bring much with me though!

After that I was exhausted!! and we were all in bed by 9pm! Tomorrow we had ADR's with our friends from Philly!

**** Just to recap- SOA was great and we would give it 7 our of 10 stars! Bob and the kids might give it even more! Def fun to try at least one time!

Well, our youngest (who is now 23) hasn't been there in 11 years and probably forgot all about it; Andy (now 25) who was with us for part of the trip never got to DTD. Therefore, I guess I'm safe until they have kids of their own. :lmao::lmao:

Your food looks yummy (well the food you remembered to take pictures of ;)). Bob certainly looks as if he was content after eating. :)

That way it's like you paid for the yummy dinner, but didn't have to use the other credit to pay for the show that didn't happen. We never got to see the whole show when we were there (last trip, not the most recent one) because my kids were just done after the meal, pretty much. Too bad, because the second half of the show seemed much better than the slow beginning! I did like the food a lot, and so did everyone in my family!

OK..for some reason I have NO notes for this day...but I think I recall why.

I took this picture first thing in the morning, and let me tell you, my pretty little sign did NOT stay nice for long! I would love to thank the Diser that made this, but I lost the note where I wrote her name down:( So thank you Diser who had these on a free profile!!

Luckily I remember most of today because it was NOT the most magical day of our trip.

We woke up nice and early after going to bed nice and early! Everyone was ready in record time, and we were out the door and on our way to our first park of the trip..where else?? MAGIC KINGDOM!! My fav!

We got in the car and got to the stop sign and I looked at bob for directions but then recalled a piece of advice that Sophia had given me the night before, and that was to not take the service road because you can not get to the TTA from there.

Not sure what happened but Bob got pissed that I didn't agree with the way he said and it started a huge fight.... (Bean, if you're reading, I'm just telling the story the way it happened... I still think he's the best :D)

This put me in an instant terrible mood despite Bob's instant apology .. I am stubborn as all get out, and could not get over what had happened. I tried to fake it though....

We got to the parking lot and I parked the van and there was a tram as we walked up, just our luck!

I was still not in picture mode, so I have NO pics of walking down main street.. I think part of that had to do with being focused on getting us checked in for our very first breakfast in Disney World!

It has not been my favorite in the past but is growing on me, and everyone else loves Crystal Palace, so I figured for a first breakfast ,this would impress Bob!

I checked in at a podium that was outside, which is not how I recall checking in for past breakfast's there. It went very quick and he gave me a buzzer.

we were called a few minutes before our scheduled time and I was happy about that! Dining was proving to be punctual!

I have to agree with what I have read on the Dis before I left, and say that quite a few seats seemed empty, and not just people didn't check in yet empty, just empty empty.. it was weird!

We were seated to the right of the restaurant all the way in a back, a first for us. We weren't told what the rotation was at the time, and really had no clue when to go up. I saw Tigger not to far away but decided to get up and start on breakfast! For some reason I have no pictures of the noms, sorry!

All in all breakfast had fantastic character interaction, and our server was great! The food was very good... but MAN did I pay for it shortly after leaving! The kids loved it as they have in the past, and Bob loved it! I forgot to mention earlier, not only was this our first breakfast in Disney, but this was Bob's very first character meal! Paint him impressed! I'll add in his actual thoughts later when I get them from him !

With full bellies we were out the door and ready to take the world by storm....

Sure did get bumped (I checked to make sure after I did it)---but within an hour or so it was back to page 2 and by the time I last checked in yesterday, almost at the bottom of page 2 already. :scared1: Must have been a busy day for trip reporting! :cutie: But I see there's an update now, so I'm off to read it!

which direction do we head, who did we run into, did my mood ruin the day, and oh sweet mother of stomach aches, what was in that CP food??

I left you off with full bellies, happy kiddies and a very impressed Bob....Oh yeah, and a bad mood Jenn, who was quickly feeling that yummy CP food!

My original plan was to be a straight up fatty and get my very first dole whip directly after breakfast, so we headed towards Adventureland! Before we could even go over the bridge though, we ran into one of my favorite characters! Peter Pan!

Once we were done with the fairies my belly really started to hurt and a dole whip no longer was in the cards.. this super bummed me out because I knew we wouldn't be by there again for a LONG time if at all!

I waved sadly at Aloha Isle and vowed to be back sooner than later!

We decided since we were in the area that we would ride the magic carpets!

During the ride is when all heck broke loose! My belly had enough and I needed to find a bathroom asap!

I told Bob to check out the new Tiki room while I was gone and I would just meet them afterwards...

Well.. that did not happen!

Apparently while I was gone, Kayla through a hissy fit and said they couldn't possibly see the show without me..despite me saying GO.

When I got back, Bob looked mad as all heck, and not only was my belly hurting but my head too now!

Today was NOT going as planned at all!

While I was gone though, they let the camel "spit" all over them!

We were ALL moody when I got back. The kids were being lil pissers and Bob and I still were just not getting along... to be fair though, he didn't know I was still mad and he just thought I wasn't feeling well.. sometimes i just love my nonsensical depression!

Since i was back and we were there, we decided we would wait for Tiki Room since the wait was only 5 minutes!

Boy am I glad we waited! I missed the show my last 2 trips (not that I loved the Iago version!)

It honestly is still one of my favorite attractions and the one thing I remember from my childhood visit!

I took pics..but since I am no photographer, most came out blech! I'll share anyway :)

The show was amazing and bravo for reverting back to the original show!

After POTC we were off to Frontierland! Splash did not have much of a wait s we grabbed FP's for BTMRR and got in the stand by line for Splash!

I was so proud of jack! He did NOT want to do roller coaster or "scary" rides before we left, but we somehow convinced him to try Splash. He agreed so long as he got to ride with Bob :)

Yeah.. I'm nuts and took pics of the whole dang ride! it is so visually appealing!

When we got off the ride we saw Woody and Jessie and I did what I never do, I got in line and waited... yes, we did that earlier in the day, but that was because the lines were so short! This line wasn't terribly long, but man was it HOT out! The line didn't look so bad either, looked like it would go fast... looks can be deceiving, we were there a while! They were great though and Jack really loved meeting Woody!

At this point I was so thirsty I could die and the kids were ready for a little treat, and our first use of snack credit!

After feeling refreshed it was time to use our FP's for BTMRR! NO pics... sorry, too bumpy!

We actually rode this 2 x as the lines were itty bitty!

At this point we were ready for some more action! Jack had been asking all day and been patiently waiting to ride buzz, so we told him we head there now... yup, skip Fantasyland and head to Tomorrowland. We had been in the MK for quite a while now and I still had no hit up FL... I thought there was a law against that, but I guess not!

On our way out of Frontierland we caught the tail end of the stage show Dream Along with Mickey.

Normally I skip all shows, parades (except spectro and wishes, or in this years case MEP) But Jack was just standing there in awe, so how could I go? Honestly, we only saw a little bit, but it was a cute show!

OH..also, did anyone notice in the first couple of pics I have black glasses on.. then the rest I have red ones?? yeah, well after we rode POTC, I went to open my glasses and put them on..Apparently i do not know my own strength and i snapped them right in half!

Other side story, I did the same thing this past weekend with the red pair!! I am heart broken as they were minnie mouse glasses!

I'm so sorry you were not feeling well after breakfast and then had to leave the group and then they all had "moods."

I have to say although I didn't like the last Tiki show with Iago, I wasn't all that impressed with this one. To me, it still is not the original (some new songs, stuff left out).

I love the photo of you, Bob and the kids that the family took -- a great family picture.

We've skipped the castle show the last several years. I always think if I had kids with me, we'd stop. Better get those boys working on grandbabies for me. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

They're not suppose to be side by side. Which ones? I know that when they are small enough you can put them side by side by not pressing enter between each. Mine are big though so they shouldn't be side by side. Is is making the view weird?

To answer my last question, yes. Yes, leaving early form the show was a good idea! Once we were past the super big crowd there was smooth sailing to tomorrowland!

Finally my little man was getting to his happy place!

When we got there the line was super long for buzz, and Bob and I were still off.. we waited in line anyways and went on, Bob with Jack and myself with Kayla.... no one did well that time lol!

After this we decided to go on Carousel of Progress.. NOT my favorite ride. Why, you ask? Because I swear Mr.Tom Morrow is gonna get all alive animatronic on me and kill me..... just sayin.

So as we are seated in here, I get a text from Michele that they are in the area, woot! Soph texts me too, woot!

Finally I cool down a bit, and look at Bob and say, I'm mad at you....

oops.

He was like ***%$#@&*(&&*_$#@!

He could not believe that *8* hours later I was STILL mad, and had let him think all day that I was OK....

I got mad all over cause now he was mad at me for being mad...

seeing the this is SO STUPID pattern yet?

We get off the ride, fight some more, and he walks away.

While he was gone Futuristic Chip and Dale made their way out, so my kids were first in line!

My heart was heavy, but I still snapped away!

Once they were done I was looking around some more for Bob...couldn't find him, I did however see Michele's husband John and their son Riley!

He told me they were in Space Mountain but would be back soon... Bob showed back up, but barely spoke a few words.. John could tell something was up, and I was mortified! I didn't want them thinking I was dating another jerk like John!

I think at that point we excused ourselves to the bathroom, and had it out again, he said it wasn't fair that he needed 5 mins to be mad when I had 8 hours :rotfl: OK.. not funny, but he was right. We talked things out, and made up..although I know we were both still sore about it :/

Once we were done at the potty we could see Michele had made her way over to her hubs!

Kayla was THRILLED! Abby, Michele's DD is Kayla's Philadelphia twin! Even their bdays are only 2 weeks apart! They often pick out the same exact glasses frames and everything!

Michele also has another DD who is a couple years younger than K and A, but Kayla loves her just the same!

We hung out with them for a bit then decided to part ways! It was getting later and we still had Dinner ressies at Tepan Edo! AND we started noticing that it was getting VERY crowded.... yeah, night of joy was there and I swear 4 pm hit and all heck broke loose there! and let me add, for Christian families, they had mouths n them and smutty clothing and riske behavior going on! I was appalled!

On our way out, we were able to catch some of the afternoon parade!

We decided after this to start heading towards the front of the park... while we were walking I caught a couple cute photo ops of Bob being the amazing father that he is!

Finally we made our way to the front of the park and got to the monorail!

I had a sneaky plan... I was still a bit annoyed about the whole day, so I decided when we got into the park we would check out club cool... something I have read about on the disboards, but somehow had NEVER gone to.. I know right? BAD DISER!

WELL, Bob and the kids thought it sounded like a cool idea.. right? Yeah, sodas from different countries! The kids were in shock I'd let them taste..mwuahahahha

So they all started drinking their sodas. I get a nice refreshing cup of Beverly for Bob, and say here Bob, Beverly from Italy! Your Italian, you'll love this.....

Honestly, I could not have asked for a better reaction or set of pictures. I love my camera for these few pictures alone!

Since I have no pics to prove that I will skip ahead and take you to Dinner!

Our legs were tired, and it was hot! We got lucky and caught a boat over to Japan!

I found the place pretty easily and thought it was cool that it was upstairs!

It was a lot cooler than the pics I had seen here on the dis!

We checked in, and Bob and Kayla went downstairs. They told us we wouldn't be seated until our ADR time which was in 15 mins.

Jack and I stayed back, me relaxing and enjoying the cool air, Jack relaxing and playing on Bobs iPhone lol! HEY, it was vacation!

Sure enough our buzzer went off at our ADR time, and Bob and Kayla were no where to be found... I go up and down looking for them, then down once more....

When I come back up the elevator, they jump in and shock me lol!

I told the girls we were all there and we were led to our table!

Sadly our table mates were nice, but didn't seem to be interested in being our mates for the night!

Oh well! we were excited to be eating there, Bob specifically! He LOVES Hibachi!

Once again he was blown away at the DxDP options!

Really cool thing though, the kids could order adult apps with the DxDP!

Jenn- Assorted tempura! It was pretty darn good! Tiny bit bland..but better than the one by my local sushi joint!

We were told that the chef had to prepare Bob and Jack's appetizers on the grill in front of us, and we were fine with that!

then he proceeded to cook all of the meats and what not! The kids just loved it and honestly, while he was a bit firm, he was also very entertaining!

I had the steak and chicken, Bob had the sword fish, and the kids had the chicken!

We all ate it ALL up! I absolutely adored it! Many people on here dis it, but we all thought it was great! bob LOVED it too. and he really is a Hibachi snot (not to mention we have one of the finest hibachi places on the east coast near us, that he loves!)

and for some reason, people on here report no rice with the meal... we all received rice in addition to our noodles, so I am not sure if that is new or not?

OH, I'd also like to mention that Bob enjoyed his first alcoholic beverage this night! Plum wine! He enjoyed it very much as well... I enjoyed my orange soda, and the kids enjoyed their first of a million chocolate milks!

For dessert I ordered the Ginger cake, which is no longer the one with chocolate in it, but just a ginger cream. The kids and Bob all ordered soft serve ice cream.

We paid our bill and wanted to get out while illuminations was going on.. I know.. skipping illuminations, tisk tisk... but honestly it has never done much for me, and after John proposed during it, I really don't care for it!

Since I hadn't eaten but a bit of my dessert I told Bob I was going to book it to Norway to get school bread!!

Glad I booked it! As I entered they locked the door! I ordered some rice cream..not school bread and then meet the crew out front!

GOOD GOD. Seriously, I LOVE that stuff, and am so glad I got it, because I never did make it back there for desserts!

I ate and walked and texted Michele as we made our way out of Epcot. It was crowded!

I told Michele that we were stopping at Hess for beer for Bob, and she asked us to get her a case of Corona.

Can you believe the resort charges I think 32 for a six pack of that? I got her a case for 15 at the Hess station! Score!

So after Hess, we booked it to our room, and changed into our swimmie suits and met them at the pool!

I sat with Michele on the chairs and the boys hung at the table! and the kids... well...

They swam..and Riley no longer hated me... from a distance anyway lol!

I hate to admit it but I was laughing my bum off about you and Bob fighting... only because I know EXACTLY what you are dealing with. Jon & I had the SAME type of fight today. Like a silly little argument that I was fuming over and a few hours later when all was "fine" I told him I was still mad at him he flipped and caused another silly fight. ha ha... goodness. Such is love I guess :lovestruc

Also, I am 100% with you on the COP thing. Mister Tom Morrow gives me nightmares. :scared1:

At 7:15 our alarm went off and we were all up getting ready! Today we were having breakfast with Michele and her family at 1900 Park Faire! We dined with them last trip together and all agree it is one of our favorites!

Our ADR was at 9 am and we were seated promptly... unlike last trip! While we got our buzzer, we took the family picture. When it was brought to our table I fell in LOVE with it, but just could not get past the ridiculously high price of $31.95! I mean good God, why? SO many more people would buy these pictures if priced at $9.99, and really even that would be a hug profit off of one picture! As much as I wanted it, I had to draw the line there and call BS on that price!

Breakfast was as great as I had remembered if not better! That strawberry soup is seriously the BOMB!

The character interaction was great as always, with the exception of the mad hatter :( he is always so entertaining and quirky.. this guy seemed like he had been on a bender or extremely hungover! I managed to get cute pics none the less :D

After breakfast I noticed that Jack's BRAND NEW JUST BOUGHT YESTERDAY shirt was covered in chocolate milk, DOH!

Michele also realized that she had left her sunglasses at the resort and her DD Ali was having a weird allergic reaction to something.

SO we decided to stop back at POFQ, BONUS staying at same resort, totally makes life more fun, and easier!

I was smart this trip and brought shout, and put jacks shirt quickly into the sink with shout and detergent! (almost all of the shirt came clean :)

Looking at my notes it says that we took the bus to DHS! Why, idk, but I recall NOT being happy about this option. We waited forever for a bus!

We finally got to DHS at around 11:45.. too late in my opinion!

First ride we stopped for was Tower of Terror, Bob was SO excited to go on this for the first time in over 12 years!

It did not disappoint either! he loved it!

Next ride was Rockin Rollercoaster!! I was terrified to try this, as was Kayla! But our friends were there, and this was the perfect opportunity for the three of us to go, while our friends watched Jack!

Kayla cried as we were about to get on, but I told her I was scared too (and I really was!!) When we got off, she said she LOVED it! and has declared it her favorite ride in WDW! That kid has so many more guts than I do lol!

When we got out, we let Michele go on, and I watched Michele's son and Jack. Bob took this opportunity to run and get us FP's for TSMM!

Once we were done at RNR we booked it over to TSMM and the wait said 50 min, but the CM said that it wasn't that long and she was right!! We waited maybe 20 mins!!

Jack and Kayla rode together, while Bob and I rode together, and got this matching score!!

What is that you ask?? That's right, a Jack melt down! **! The first of many! I took him to the bathroom, washed him down a bit, and he seemed ok!

After that we were headed to Honey I Shrunk the Kids play ground! A favorite of all of ours!

I met a nice woman from Canada there, and she had all sorts of questions, and was very impressed with my Disney knowledge!! I ran into her several times through my trip and she thanked me over and over again!

It was hot as all heck this day... well all of our days, but being in that playground made it feel even hotter!

We decided at this point to head over to Muppet Vision 3D! John and Michele decided to sit this one out as Riley was napping in the stroller. We took their girls and told them we would text them afterwards!

As always it was amazing and Kayla and I were pleased as punch! She is a muppet fanatic!

After MV3D Bob took Jack over to see Lightning McQueen and Mater as there was no line, and at the same time I noticed a line opening for Phineas and Ferb!!

All 3 girls started squealing in delight as they all LOVE Phineas and Ferb. They were first in line as well! At this point it was about 2:30 and P+F weren't due out til 3.

I told the girls to wait in line with the CM while I got Michele.

While I was gone, Bob came back to the girls and we all got in line! It was pretty awesome being the first ones in line!

Three things...
1. Isn't it so much fun hanging out with peeps at the parks? We met a few people from the boards this trip and had a BLAST!!

2. I love the matching scores at TSM! Brent and I always compare scores even if we don't ride together to see who won :lmao:

3. I am soooooooooo disappointed! We totally forgot about P&F!!!! There's always next time I keep telling myself. Although we aren't going for 3 whole years :guilty:

After parting ways with Michele and her family we decided to go to Star Tours! Jack had been DYING to go here, and we had no hit that yet.. (see a theme, little mans wants usually get pushed to last..oops!)

He LOVED it! We ALL loved it! I like the new ride so much! Jack just thought it was the coolest thing ever and I think even thought the ride was built for him!

Star Tours like many other rides, sumps you right into their gift shop! This seemed like a perfect opportunity to let Jack build his own light saber! Poor dude had been asking for a light saber forever, but I could NOT see buying one at Target knowing we could build our own in Disney!

He was on excitement overload and had a blast making it! and I can say with all honesty, at $21 ( maybe a bit more with tax, can't find receipt) It was a steal and by far the best bargain in Disney World!

After we were done building the most awesome Light Saber ever, we decided to ride Star Tours one more time!

To take this pic, we got in line.... Well, some foreign family walks up and decides to just walk right in front of us.. I didn't say anything but I clearly looked ticked, and they said "OH, WHAT ARE YOU MAD?" Bob, pipes up and goes yeah, I'm annoyed, you cut right in front of what was an obvious line.. Bob, never says anything, so I was super proud of him!

I couldn't believe the rudeness of some guests this trip, appalling!

Aywho, it was now time for our ADR at Hollywood Brown Derby! I was nervous and excited at the same time! This was new to all of us, and I really was hoping it was better than some of the not so great reviews I had read!

We checked in 15 mins early and were seated 5 mins early. Our server was Moses from Kenya. Pretty nice, although very straight forward and not much fun, but very on top of things! He was also kind enough to offer to take a pic of us all which I thought was so wonderful!

Me- Famous Cobb Salad, I think my steak was a special..cause I don't see it on the menu, and for dessert banana white chocolate toffee tower.

Cobb Salad- BLECHHHHHHH! Man do I wish I stuck with my gut and gotten the Lobster Bisque special! Or Bob's! The avocado was like citrusy, as if it had been sitting in citrus all day to keep it fresh.. totally ruined the taste! Just yucks all around!

The meal was great and we had some coffee to with our desserts!

While we were there a very large Asian tour group came in with a man who seemed to be guiding them. Best dressed people there in my opinion!

As we were waiting for the bill, the kids decided to be goofs with each other... hey, at least they weren't fighting!

I really enjoyed HBD, the atmosphere was very nice and the food was almost all excellent! I went in not expecting much, and I was pleasantly surprised!

Once dinner was done it was time to use up some FP's and do a first fr all of us!

Jenn, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry. I have no idea how I missed your last update. Breakfast looks like fun (we've never been...back to my DH not wanting to even steop foot in the GF).

So glad everyone got to experience some attractions that they enjoyed, and good job Kayla enjoying Rock & Roll; she can go on it for me from now on.

Please don't be! I have not commented or even had time to read anyones TR's! I'm hoping for some breathing room on Saturday after Jack goes with John!

I'm glad you enjoyed your meal at Brown Derby. We ate there in 2007 and were not fond of it (could have been a combination of the bad service, Mark hating the dessert, etc.). But your steak sure does look yummy.

OK, I believe it is the second appetizer down..OR it was a special, because my steak wasn't on there either, but just looking at the butter you can see that it is citrus and there is nothing on the menu describing that either. Either way it was phenom!

After One Mans Dream we met back up with Bob and Jack and headed over to a first for all of us!!

I was SO excited for this! But I gotta say, it was SOOOOO hot that day, and I was feeling pretty grumpy too!

What I didn't mention earlier about HBD is that we had the F! dinner package.

SO, overall thoughts of of Fantasmic! LOVED it! Like super loved it and wish I hadn't waited so long to see it!

With that said, i did not love the seating for dinner package. We were to left of the stage and almost front row, but I would have preferred getting there 2 hours early and sitting closer in middle section.

With that said, we were going to eat at HBD either way and I am grateful to have assured seating!
The show was truly fantastic!

Once it let out it was a mad house though!

and silly us took the bus there that day. The wait wasn't awful though, but we decided the buses still aren't for us.

When we got back we all crashed out! Tomorrow we had one of my favorite breakfasts to go to!

Today we woke up bright and early at 7:45. Late for some of you Disers, but after a summer of no rules, this felt brutal after a while!

Today we were going to Epcot! I bet you can guess where we were eating as well :

Akershus!

I love love loveeeeeee this breakfast! The atmosphere, the beautiful Norwegian staff, the breakfast potatoes..oh those breakfast potatoes, and yes, the cold bar! I love the cold bar with salami!

But in all honesty, we have always had outstanding service and great princess interaction here!

According to my notes, we arrived at Epcot at abot 8:50, parked VERY close and were checked into Akershus by 9:25.... )just goes to show how long it takes to get from parking lot to World Showcase!!)

Our ADR was for 9:30, and we were called at 9:39. We got our pictures with Belle and were very pleasantly surprised! In years past the Belle has been the same exact one, and not a super friendly one at that!

This Belle however was VERY nice, and Jack was RED in the face for her! I took a video of them interacting, but I can't seem to find it! All I know is that it was a great start to our breakfast!

Once seated Ina our server came right over to us and explained everything great, and said we had time to go get some food. So we went up and did just that!

Cold buffet was amazing as always and Bob declared this as one of his favorites so far :) He said that a lot throughout the trip!!

Breakfast was top notch and I can not say enough good things about our server Ina! Before we left she put water in to go cups for us with ice. I thought that was very nice of her, and smart because it was already a gazillion degrees!

Is it pricey? YES! But totally worth it in my opinion. You get a picture and a whole heck of a lot more time with each princess than you do at CRT which is even more than that! Def a must do on every vacation!

Jenn, you got GREAT shots of Fantasmic. It is my second favorite show (after Wishes); we've not seen it since 2008 anbd it will be closed in January, but I am going to be sure to see it in September when we go.

I love the photos of all you guys with the princesses. We went there for lunch -- did not care for it, but I really want to try breakfast (but I think we'll wait until we have grandchildren to take).

I do agree there, I was grateful that I at least had a seat 30 mins prior to start of he show! I just couldn't help but be jealous of the middle section lol! I loved it none the less and as you can see form pics, the view wasn't awful :)

Back from vacation and catching up on my threads

Glad Jack liked new Star Tours. Trent and all of us thought it as amazing!!! We must have went on it at least ten times. Trent was so excited when we got the snow scene. Love all the new touches

We saw Fantasmic too and I had not seen it since the 90s. Loved it!!!

Trent loved it as well as is first time. We sat in very front and got sprayed with water whole time and Trent got suck a kick out of it :laughing:

I was proud too! I woulda flipped, so I was happy he said something before I could lose my cool!

Uhm, hi, my name is Jenn and I am the WORST Diser ever.

Anyone still with me? I sincerely do not blame you if you are not! Clearly I haven't even been with me!

Life happened yall! A whole lot of life! Holidays, report card time, school functions, soccer ending, you name it, it happened! To be honest, I just haven't had the energy to sit at my actual computer desk and keep my eyes open long enough to even type!

BUT, I am here tonight and I am going to update gosh darnit!

In my personal life I have "found" out that I will be unemployed from the people I have been nannying for, for over 4 years come January..maybe.

It was mentioned in passing to me, and they still have not officially sat me down to tell me any details. Real nice after 4 years of me raising this child pretty much.

So, I have started helping my friend out with his pet walking/sitting company and started right before Thanksgiving! It's been nice to have the extra money for Christmas and Kayla's birthday!

Say a prayer that I get lot of jobs, otherwise we won't be seeing Disney next year as hoped!

OK.. moving on! Kat and others on my FB, please don't mention the job thing on my fb, as my boss is on there and I am still employed by them and want to keep it that way as long as possible :) thanks!

OH, I'd also like to mention that the pics of myself in Disney inspired myself and Bob to start a lifestyle change! We have cut our calories down, WAY down, and sticking to our proper calorie intake per week. We also joined the gym again and go 3-6 times a week! I am proud to say that I am down 10 lbs in 2 months and many inches, and Bob is down 17 lbs and many inches! We also have gained muscle! For me in places I didn't even know existed on my body LOLOL! It was hard at first, but getting a bit easier! If you have a smart phone and looking for a great dieting app, try my fitness pal! LOVE it! OK< now I am done!

So I last left you with full bellies and my heart happy from meeting my girl Snow White!

(Side note- anyone watching Once Upon a Time?? OMG I'M OBSESSED AND IN LOVE AND SOOOO HAPPY THAT THEY CHOSE GINNFER GOODWIN AS SNOW!!)

It was still early at this point and World Showcase was not open yet, we thought for a minute and then decided to go straight to Captain EO! A first for me ( I think..not positive, I may have seen in when I was little and do not recall)

This was one of Bob's favorites when he was little and I was excited that it had been extended to be open while we were vacationing!

It was everything I hoped and dreamed it would be and so much more than that lol! The kids cracked up as well!

After EO we went on Figment! I have never super cared for Figment (put your pitchforks down!) but I really enjoyed it this time!

Both rides were walk on too!

After Figment we checked out the gift shops and I still regret not buying Bob a captain EO shirt :D

After that good timing was done, we heading over to the land!

We had potty breaks and got fast passes for Soarin! I didn't write it down, but the stand by time was ridiculous!

While we waited for the FP return time we hit up living with the land! idk why, but I love this ride! Bob and the kids really enjoyed it as well!

After living with the land we decided to watch circle of life! I enjoyed that as well!

After this it was time to use our FP's for soarin! We winded up waiting about 20 minutes because I wanted Bob to experience the front row! Did I mention he had never rode soarin!! This was also a first for jack, as he was not tall enough on our last trip!

They both were head over heels in love with it! It was just as amazing as I remembered :)

After leaving the land we headed over to... THE SEAS of course :)

First up was NEMO! Not dreadful, not super fun, but cute none the less and nice little break!

After Nemo we headed over to talk with Crush!

OMG, Bob fell in love with the attraction! He thought it was the coolest thing he had ever seen and proclaimed we would be back!

We decided to take the classic shark pic and study on them fellas while in that area :)

We were all ready for some snacks and drinks at this point, so we left the seas and stopped at the carts right outside for some ice cream and powerades!

While we ate and drank we discussed what we should do next. No one could seem to agree on much of anything!

I'm still here! Congrats on the weight loss and going to the gym! I can see why you don't have time to DIS, when I go to the gym regularly I hardly have time for anything else.

I have wanted to watch the show Once Upon a Time, but it's always on when I'm busy and then it's not on when I have time to watch it on Sunday nights. I will have to watch it/catch up online.

That really stinks about the job. January isn't that far away, it would be really nice if they told you for sure!

Love the pictures of Bob on the shark, and I totally agree---I LOVE Living with the Land, we do it every trip. Have you ever taken the Behind the Seeds tour? I'm sure it's something you'd like if the ride is your thing.

I feel you on the lifestyle changes, I've been eating right and working out since September and am down around 25 pounds in three months. It's hard, but I feel so much better when I'm in better shape, getting enough sleep and eating what's good for me. It's so hard around the holidays though! It's good to give yourself a few times a month to "cheat" though, so make sure you enjoy at least a little bit of holiday yumminess!

I think that is what it is! I used to spend most of my mornings on the computer/disboards, now I'm up, take kids to school, go to gym for 90 mins then home...and by then, I'm tired and and have housework. It's a lot!

Probably going to try the tour next trip, I think Jack will finally be able to tolerate it then.. I hope!

Everything else in my life has changed dramatically over the past 2 years, so this was like meant to happen as well. All those things have ended positively, so I think this will as well :goodvibes

I have been ready to move on for a while and fear has held me back, as it did with John. So, I am letting go of that fear..or at least ignoring it for a little while and hoping for the best!!

Sounds like a fun trip so far! I appreciate the dinner receipt photos. We're wondering about trying the dining plan once and are curious about costs of that vs. tables in wonderland, so it helps with the research.

OMG.. do yall hate me?? Please don't! As I said in past post, life got crazy! I am now done working for now as of 2 weeks now. I am happy as clam and really enjoying being a mom to just 2 kids! Things are much less stressful and I am enjoying having my kids all to me, and my room back!

The new job is also doing awesome!

In other news, Kayla turned 11 in December and we had an amazing roller skating party for her, our Christmas was awesome and our New Years was celebrated in Ohio with Jophia! That was an awesome trip!

Now, back to my TR! Thank you all for hanging in there and I hope I give you some good reads on this snowy (here anyway) afternoon!

I last left you off with Bob and Kayla doing some silly poses on sharks and our bellies ready for some snacks!

After snacks we decided to head to Innoventions!

And apparently I took NO pics!!

As always though, we LOVED innoventions! It really is one of the kids favorite spots!

After that we headed to Spaceship Earth! I rode with Kayla and it was a good time!

Our futures are looking pretty bright lol!

There was a super cool game at the end of SSE , but I didn't take a pic or write name down and can barely recall what it even was, just that we loved it and spent a good amount of time playing it! How was that for most vague statement of the day lol!

After SSE we headed over to test Track. It still makes me giddy knowing Jack can go on! Poor little dude was too little in 2009 and was SO sad he couldn't ride it! The line said 20 minutes but it only took about 15. We had a very large drunk group in front of us and it was very entertaining!

Needless to say, he loves it!

After TT we did Mission Space... my notes say, MEH, but Jack loved it :)

AT this point it was time for our dinner! The dinner that I was really anxious for as last time I went I had an awful migraine and I wasn't sure if the food really stunk or the migraine made me hate everything!

Oh, where is this dinner? Le Cellier!

I had talked this up quite a bit to Bob, but also warned him that I myself did not love it last time I went.

We checked in at 5:45 for our 6 pm seating and were seated at 5:54. Already we were off to a better start! Last time we were seated way past our time!

Our server was George and Bob thought he was great, I thought he was meh. lol!

My overall expectations were met. It was better than I had remembered but not worthy of being called a signature restaurant and requiring 2 credits. I would definitely go back for a 1ts lunch!

Today we were up nice and early! I wrote 7:30 and then put a star next to that saying even earlier...guess I actually looked at the clock at 7:30! I noted that I had a terrible nights sleep, and suspected I was beginning to get Kaylas cold :(

By we I meant me to. I was up first and got this shot of the boys..notice the blanket around Bob.. maybe THAT'S why I didn't sleep well??

Today we did something that I NEVER do,,, we ate breakfast in the room! Cereal bars and goodies from the bag of stuff Jophia had sent to our room! (Thanks again you guys <3 )

Today we were going to DAK!

According to my notes we arrived right around 9 am. I always get pics out front, but today I was on a mission! Get Jack to face his fear and ride Expedition Everest! Last trip he was too little and this trip he was all HECK NO, i'm not going on no stinking roller coasters... even though he loves them :headache:

So we booked it to EE and there was only a 5 min wait posted.... make that NO WAIT! and guess, what?? After lots of begging,pleading, guilting,pressuring , and finally bribery, Jack agreed to go on! and he LOVEDDDDDDDDD it! and really though he was the bee knees coolest kid on the block, and to us he was! Even Kayla was impressed!

So I bet you're asking, what did you bribe him with?? A present of his choice when we got off the ride!

and being the cool dude that he is, he chose an EE trading pin! MAN I LOVE THIS KID! The pin even has the Yeti on it!

So since he loved it so much, we decided to go on again, and again AND AGAIN! YUP, 4 times in a row, no wait! I was beginning to see the beauty of rope drop! We would have ridden more, but we were all beginning to feel a bit queasy from the not so large breakfast. We did however stage a photo on the last ride :)

After EE we got pulled into a DVC pitch since the kids just HAD to trade with them CM's. The girl was overly persistent and it really irked me. It ate up almost a full hour, but there was just no getting away from her and her wing man who kept tempting the kids with pins, stickers and coloring sheets! What part of I don't even own a home, what makes you think I can afford a time share didn't she get??

After that it was very close to our ADR time at Yak and Yeti, so we wandered over to that area. I tried checking in early, but apparently 10:50 still mean absolutely closed.

We saw right next door to Y&Y a "temple" with a Thai man and a man from Indonesia.

Those 2 guys were AMAZING! They shared so much wonderful knowledge about their countries and showed us some beautiful art. The one man even showed the kids how he does leaf animals!

He let each of the kids have one! I can not begin to explain how intricate and cool these things were! I was glad for the mini educational moment!

I was also glad that it was now 11! Time to check in at Y&Y.

Now if you recall, I did not love Y&Y on my 2009 trip, no one did in our party actually. I did however LOVE the won ton dessert and figured why not give it another try. Mostly out of convenience factor, but also the won tons were calling my name!

We were seated instantly and that was nice! We were all hot, hungry, thirsty and a bit wiped already!

This trip we were seated upstairs in the back corner, and could see out over DAk. That was cool!

I didn't care for our server at all. Had ZERO personality, but was very efficient at her job. But thats all it was to her, a job. No Disney magic at all.

He did not like it at all! and Bob NEVER complains about food. ever. Hes like a damn garbage disposal most days!

I knew not to order the steak and shrimp as I did not like it last year, so I ordered the other chicken dish that was similar to Bobs... and YUCK YUCK YUCK. Both dishes just tasted nothing like any asian food, but chemically and just disgusting.

Neither kid was overly impressed, but they didn't complain either.

The man who refilled our drinks noticed that we didn't eat our food and got a manager. We didn't ask for one. He came to our table and apologized and offered new food and to pay the bill, but I told him we were on the DxDP and that wouldn't be necessary. We told him exactly how we felt about the food, and hopefully it meant something.

Once he left, it was time for dessert! This did NOT disappoint!

Bob ordered the Mango pie, he liked it, but not as much as he thought he would.

Glad you're back!! I have to admit that I haven't updated my TR in a couple of weeks, either! I need to get on that. You've inspired me.

I have to say that yours is the BEST EE PICTURE EVER! I never notice where they are taking pictures, so none of mine ever turn out that great. Note to self: pay more attention!

We saw the people making the leaf animals, too! So cool! But my people didn't want to stop :(. Maybe they'll be there next time.

Ok, I don't know if it's because of the pregnancy brain (oh how I love blaming everything on that these days :laughing:), but I'm confused. First you say you have stopped working for 2 weeks and love being at home with the kids, then say the new job is going well. So... are you working or not?:confused3

We love Innoventions too. I find it's a great way to spend some time out of the heat doing some fun thhings. We have a Science Center in Montreal that is based on the same principle, lots of interactive stuff, and we love going there.

I'm not there yet, but on my TR I will soon get to our second Epcot day and we spent lots of time playing all the games at the end of Spaceship Earth. I'm pretty sure we took pictures of it too, so maybe that will help you remember what game you played? :)

Great updates! I am glad you liked Le Cellier better this time around! We do like Yak and Yeti, but we tend to order differently. My husband loved the ribs and the kobe beef burger. I thought the duck was pretty good, but hated the honey chicken. I guess it is pretty hit or miss!

I will have to remember that picture idea! Super cute!

Your brain is fine, my post was confusing unless you know me really well :) I stopped working for the boy I have nannied for for the past 4.5 years :) However in November when I found out I was losing my job, I reached out to Kayla's bff's uncle to see if he needed any help with his dog walking/pet sitting company. Turns out he did, and I started right then! So from November- 2 weeks ago I was working two jobs, all during thanksgiving,kaylas bday, christmas and new years! so yes one job ended and new one has not, but I have just one job now, and since the boy I nanny is gone, I have my nights free, and that means no more kid in my bedroom! (he slept there art night and nap time!)

Cali Grill was frakkin AWESOME! we loved it! idk that RFC would be any better than Y&Y to be honest! never had good food there either! I'd just be careful what you get at Y&Y and order based on good reviews!

Niagara Falls? It's about 6 hours between Montreal and Toronto, and I think another hour and a half to Niagara Falls? It's not so bad, I've done it a couple of times. The only thing that could make it way worse is Toronto Traffic, so you have to avoid rush hour at all costs.

Montreal is a beautiful city, you should come visit sometimes (much better than Toronto in my opinion. :upsidedow)

Hey, hon; sorry I missed your update on Saturday. We were in Iowa visiting our youngest son and his girlfriend, and then when we got home yesterday I was trying to get laundry done for my other two men before I leave for Disney on Thursday.

Looks like you had a good time on Spaceship Earth. Would you believe we've not even stopped in Innoventions in like ten years. :confused3

We were disappointed in our meal at LeCellier; the food was good, but not as good as it has been in the past, they wouldn't let us substitute like they used to and definitely NOT worth 2TS or the CASH we paid for the meal.

Despite having a lousy meal and some dessert with moldy fruit we were ready for some more fun!

It was very hot out and Kayla was chomping at the bit to ride her favorite ride..which is also a first for Bob and Jack! What ride you ask?? Kali River Rapids!

On our way to KRR we saw the chimp (?) sanctuary and Bob noticed that the momma had a new born! I asked the CM about it and the baby was 5 days old, it had been born the previous Thursday!

Watching them was hilarious, as the sister or brother of the chimp was trying to snatch the baby away like a toy and was very jealous! it was amazing to watch and probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen!

After seeing these cuties it was time to head to the rapids!

Despite my better judgment we jumped in the stand by line as fast passes were down for the day.. ( I thought that was weird!) It said 20 minutes and we waited every bit of 20 minutes! and it was hot! I had never been so happy to see a ride in my life!

No pics of course :) But it was fun! Jack liked it too! It was fun getting to do so many rides with him! We all decided that while we love KRR, it has always been loved for the short waits we've had!

After KRR we headed to DINOLAND USA! Idk why I used cap locks, but thats how it sounds in my head :)

Jack spotted Pluto as we were walking in and Pluto gave him a quick high five before he headed to his autograph spot, I thought that was pretty cool!

I was excited to go to DL because I love how cheesy and retro it feels! If I recall correctly I scored an orange soda and churro at one of the snack stands here too lol!

Once I chowed we all got on line for Dinosaur! A first for Bob and Jack again! We LOVED it! Jack wasn't phased at all by the "scary " dinosaur and thought it was really neat!

After this, it was time for another first for all of us, one that I had been dying for! Finding Nemo the Musical!

We all absolutely 100% LOVED this show! It was so amazing and so much more than what I thought it was going to be! I already love puppeteering, but this just put me over the edge! One of my new favorite attractions at WDW!

Once teh show let out it was time for us to do another one of Kayla's favorites! I really think that even when she is 15 she will still love playing in the Boneyard!

Sadly I have NO pics of her in here! It was HOT out! Did I say that yet??

I was just about ready to leave DAK but Bob really wanted to see TTBAB, and honestly, I love it, so I said sure!

It was getting close to 4, so we figured we would watch some of the parade and get some kidcot station stamps for the kids.

Bob being a good dad and holding Kayla on his shoulders... Jack was with me cause his behavior was less than stellar!

Loving the updates. I'm surprised you had such a horrible meal at Y&Y. On our last trip I remember loving it. That may have been because it was so hot and the a/c was a nice break, or because we were starving by the time we ate---but the egg rolls were the best I've ever had and the pineapple & cream cheese wontons dessert was sooooo good! Maybe the trick is sticking with apps and desserts and skipping the entrees? I think that's what we did last time and what we'll probably do again on our trip in 17 short days. :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Oooh! I love when people see interesting things at AK!! The baby chimp is so bald-- I had no idea they looked so scrawny!

If you ever make it to DLR, Kayla should check out Grizzly River Rapids. It is 80 times better than Kali, and 30 times longer (at least it seems that way). =) I would happily wait for GRR, but I don't think I would wait long for Kali!

My Allison (almost 5) sounds just like Jack. She's just now big enough for some rides, so she's gung-ho! She wants to go on Expedition Everest and Dinosaur and Space Mountain, etc. Her sister (almost 7) won't go on any of them.

The baby chimp is just the cutest thing! Thanks for sharing those photos!

Wow - dinner at Le Cellier is $$$$$! We're thinking of trying the dining plan once and will have to get those types of meals on the dining plan. No way I'd pay that much cash for a meal!

You guys! Holy OMG.. I am getting married in 8 months! thank you all so much for your replies! Im sorry I slack so hard.. I am SOOOO tired all the time! Ive opened the disboards a ton of times, and my eyes close. I don't read or research anything! It makes me so sad! Trying to get back into the swing of things I love! which is all of you guys and these boards! Ive tried to keep up on reading TR/PTR here and there. So know Im around in spirit, and will try to post more.. but I can't promise anything. I'm terrified of this summer and walking dogs all day in the heat! I'm going to be completely zapped and have to take care of two kids and plan/pay for a wedding.... wish me luck!

Hey yall.. I'm engaged..to bob...omg! Sorry, STILL can't get over it!

OK! I left you off with a magical day at DAK full of firsts! After we left DAK we headed back to POFQ to freshen up for dinner with our friends this evening! As you know, DAK for some reason feels 90000000 degrees hotter than anywhere else on earth and we were in desperate need of some AC and washcloths lol!

Once we freshened up we picked Michele and company up and headed to Ohana!

Now for some reason I have no real pics.. just iphone ones, so I apologize!

We checked in, and from I can recall (didn't note) we were seated rather quickly.. I'm used to a wait here!

We got a GREAT table with a great window view of MK! I could even see the castle, which made me VERY happy!

Our server was great, but I do not recall his name ... He never left a glass empty,and gave us plenty of food and attention!

On a plus side, but I know a usual no-no, he LET us use our DxDP credits to pay for our friends meals since it was their anniversary and we had so many extra credits... I thought they would never go for it, but i read someone on here was able to pay for a random couple once with their DDP so I figured I'd try for my friends! They did it! I was over the moon happy about this, and my friends were very flattered!

It was honestly SUCH a nice meal and I'm not sure if I would go back with just us 4. It was def more fun with a big crowd! Especially a fun family like Michele's!

*Side note- Michele is my Matron of Honor!

THAT'S IT! I know.. wth?? Sorry about that! It was a great night though, and after we were mostly done, the fireworks at MK started and we were able to view form our table :love: It was really magical, and just a perfect ending to our day!

Once we settled the bill, we came back to the resort and we all went for a swim and I got a drink... now I NEVER pay for alcohol..mostly because I NEVER drink. So I was highly annoyed when the bartender could barely take the time to look at me let alone take my drink order and make it. With that said, my drink was yummy.

After drinks and a quick dip, we headed back to our rooms to hit the sack, we had another early morning and an ADR at a place none of us had ever eaten at!

I don't have the exacts written down, but our morning went like this.. I woke up first, got ready first, then made everyone else wakey wakey!

Today we had another day full of firsts starting with a restaurant none of us had dined at before! I was VERY excited about this one form all the great reviews hereon the dis!

Today we were heading to Cape May Cafe. We had a 9:10 ressie. We found parking, checked in, and really didn't wait long for our table.

Once seated we were instantly greeted with characters! The first was this guy.. Bob's favorite!

After this, we were greeted by what I am SURE is WDW best server EVER, Dorothy! Dorothy was elderly and I was actually surprised she was serving us! I learned not to judge a book by it's cover very quickly! Dorothy was everything a server should be at WDW! Just pure magic!

I got no pictures of the buffet, but it is located in the center of the restaurant and the place is rather big! It had a fantastic selection, and everything felt very fresh! We all went up several times!

Back to Dorothy! Throughout our meal she warned us that Donald Duck was very fresh and could not be trusted! We were pretty sure we knew he was a joker, but we had no clue how much so!

While Dorothy was at our table, Donald came up and TIED her up!! LOLOL! It was fantastic and they all played along so great! I love pixie dust like this, but to the kids and Bob it was beyond amazing! Jack was literally splitting at the seam he was lol so hard! and I honestly could not believe what I was seeing!

This was one of the big highlights of our trip and something i know I will never forget! I may even write Disney an email all these months later with pics! I adored Dorothy!

Once we were done taking pics it was time to head to another first for all us !!

Typhoon Lagoon!

I have to admit.. when booking I was stoked about this..but once in WDW I felt as if I was leaving the parks and missing out on "real" park time. We got there very easy and parking was a breeze.

As soon as we got there everything felt different and I was bummed that there were no photopass photographers! I had my SLR with me, but didn't really want to take pics with it with all the water and sand.

We quickly realized it seemed packed there and found a spot at the beach by bluster bay.

We first swam in the wave pool... I guess we thought waves came sooner, but we waited over 30 minutes for the first real wave. Once they started though they were BIG and came every 90 seconds and were very strong!

I had pics from my point and shoot, but NO clue where they went.. so stay tuned!

Once we were done with that we headed to the family raft ride...forgot name. I wrote down "cute, but not thrilling and super short".

The next thing Bob wanted to do was swim with the sharks... say wha?? I did not want to do this, but then decided to man up and do it! We even somehow conned Kayla into doing it! We LOVED it! Coolest thing ever and I even got Kayla to go back and do it again with me! While Jack enjoyed it, he had to use regular goggles as the snorkel ones hurt, so he didn't see much. He still told everyone that he swam with sharks though!

After this we headed to the crusher gusher thinking jack could ride, but that was a no go...we lucked out and bumped into Michele and she agreed to stay with jack so we could ride this!

this ride was fun, but man KEEP YOUR BUTT UP! I must have put mine down for a sec and ouch lol

For some reason Bob started feeling really ill after this and decided to head back to the beach area where our stuff was so he could chill out for a bit.

I decided to stick with Michele and her fam and we headed back to the shark reef. I stayed with her son Riley while they swam with the sharks. Kayla went back in again with them :)

After this we all parted ways and our family headed to DTD...

Next up, my favorite and a disappointing dining experience....

I REALLLLLLLY plan on updating and finishing this sucker asap so I can start a wedding PJ/ Disneymoon PTR :dance3: With that said, hang in there.. my good intentions sometimes get beat out by exhaustion!

After a little down time, he was beginning to feel better, but we decided we should head to DTD and stop at EOS :) MY FAVORITE! Seriously, I love this place!

I love it so much I didn't even take any pictures lololol! I did however jot down that I had the all american (my fav), Bob had the caribean jerk ( loved! ), the kids had ham and cheese and we had soup. Tomato I am assuming. Still my favorite soup from anywhere!

After filling our bellies we decided to do some walking around. We spent about 90 minutes in the lego store where Bob and Jack were in ADD heaven lol They had a blast stopping at each station and building all sorts of stuff! Then destroying it... boys!

After the lego store, Bob still wasn't feeling 100% so we headed back to the resort.

Bob decided to take a nap, and I took the kids to the pool and did some laundry. Apparently the cost of the wash ticked me off because I have noted $2.00 to wash!!!! $2.00 to dry!!! <--- just like that lol

and apparently I still didn't have my camera with me, but i did take some pool pics with my iphone!

once our laundry was done, we headed back to the room to wake Bob up and get ready for our late ADR at 1900 Park fare for dinner.

Now, I had eaten here before for dinner and wasn't blown away, but we were blown away by the character experience, so we decided to give it another chance.

I checked in late at 8:28 for our 8:20 ressie after forgetting it takes 10 years to park at GF. No matter anyway, we weren't even seated until 8:50. I found this to be annoying at such a late hour. By the time we were seated i was feeling VERY ill. I had started to get a headache earlier and took my headache meds on an empty stomach, thinking we would be seated promptly. BAD idea:idea: After about 30 minutes and very small bites of bread every few minutes I started to feel better. Our waiter was Russell and he was NOT great. Our drinks went a very long time without being filled, and our plates remained on the table for very long. The characters however were a+ again! Drizella wins hands down again though!

She was Jacks favorite on our last trip and we got the same girl! At first he loved her, but then when she paid him so much attention he hated her.... check out this kiss ...

LOLOLOLOLOL! She made him cry! She felt so bad, but we didn't! We thought it was hilarious!

Bob was SO impressed by how great the characters were. Yes, we had been there a while and met lots of characters, but this crew is always extra in character!
