Best area to request at AKL?

I have reserved a standard room at AKL for one night in November. Any suggestions on what area to request? Is Zebra Trail better than other areas?

I'm answering this just from looking at maps for my visit, but it doesn't look like the zebra trail has standard view rooms on it only savannah and some pool view rooms. Zebra trail does look good since it is close to the pool area. I'll be staying there in less than 3 weeks-YEAH! After that, I can give you a better answer. www.wdwig.com has some nice info and maps of AKL that may help you.

we had a savannah view room and stayed in room 4425, which is on the 4th floor, Zebra Trail overlooking the Arusha Rock savannah. I am not sure about standard rooms but I can make a few observations/suggestions:

If you don't like walking or have small children, request close to the lobby. It can be quite a hike from the "outer" rooms

The lobby is located on the 3rd floor and the Zebra Trail is the same side as the food court, pool & arcade.

Wherever you stay you will LOVE this resort. My only downfall is that we did not have enough time to sit back and just enjoy the resort!!

Thanks for the responses! Since it will be our last night at WDW, we're planning on hanging out at the resort that evening and the next morning. Our tentative plan is to have dinner at Boma's on Friday night and then bfast on Saturday morning. I'm hoping that it will be warm enough so that the kids can swim in the morning before we have to check out and head home. :(
