Weather at sea?

I have been to the site through the DCLTRIBUTE site that shows the current temperature at the port, as well as onthe islands. My question is about the temperature at sea. How different is the temerpature at sea compared to the temperature on the islands?

Hope that didn't sound like a dumb question..... just passing along questions from the family!
