Regarding a rumor on Thrillride.com about IOA getting a B&M Coaster in 2003-2004. Editor mentioned that he can't say much but that it was just the "tip of the iceberg"
:D
I don't see any place for it to go right now (but I could be wrong).
Geez, I was there today also, I wish I had read the rumor before I went, and I could be spotting stuff!
Anyway: these are my theories:
The "tip of the iceberg" thought got to me:
I don't think we're talking just a coaster, it's either:
A.) Possibly an extra "island" with all the room they have beside/partly behind the park.
B.) Maybe (but IMHO unlikely) the island that was rumored to go in the center of the lagoon?
If the rumor had said Universal, I would have thought it would be for the third park (BTW, I am seeing some land being cleared in that area!). Instead it said IOA.

Ahhh, you beat me to it. By the way guys, there's also a note about the future expansion of Nickelodien based attractions at this site too. That rumor has me wondering as well. From all of the previous rumors I've heard, I have the feeling it's going into Jurassic Park.
By the way Chris, what Island that's supposed to go into the center. What have you heard that I haven't?

Another B&M, they must have a contract with them. I was hoping for an Intamin Giga.
They already have inverted and sit down. Building a Floorless would be the same as Kraken. That leaves a speed coaster like Raging Bull at SFGam. I've been on this ride, its alright. When going thru the turns, you look down at the ground and it seems like you're going to fall out of the train. But these coasters have no loops. After the first drop and turn, it's just a speed thing with more turns.
I'd rather have another Inverted, but I doubt that will happen.
Let's just hope it's tall, and a full lengh version so they can run 3 trains and keep the crowds moving.

Back when IOA opened, there were rumors of having an island in the middle of the lagoon.
I can't remember what the island theme was supposed to be, though.

That is so cool maybe it could be a coaster for jurassic park:bounce:
There's already another active post on this subject. The answer is: it's a rumor, nothing else. There's no contract. Not even a memo or fax. Of course, maybe there's a note on a napkin. Yes, there will probably be something in the next couple of years, somewhere on the property. That would be typical expansion and depends on many factors before anything occurs.
This keeps coming up from time to time. Rest assured that there's currently nothing on the books. This is all speculation. It's what's called "blue sky" ....

Well, here's my thinking on the clue...I've heard rumors from time to time on various sites about a Titanic themed ride. I don't think this makes alot of sense to be put into IOA (1st considering its a paramount/fox movie and 2nd it should go into USF if anywhere) but the clue would support it and theres always a chance.

about the note on the coasters- Kracken owns the title of being the tallest fastest..... so you know it is going to be huge. i would say that the best coaster that they could build would be an air powered coaster from s and s power. it's tall and fast and there is only one!

Kracken owns the title of being the tallest fastest.....
I though Millenium Force at Cedar point had that distinction..

I guess he's referring to the Kraken commercial that says it's the tallest and fastest coaster in Orlando, though every site I could find with coaster stats says that Kraken goes 65 mph, while Hulk gets up to 67.

Kraken is referred to as the biggest, longest, fastest coaster in the SouthEast (i think its biggest, fastest, etc... floorless in the world). Kraken goes the usual B&M 65 MPH, while Hulk goes 60 MPH, NOT 67.......

Think the Steel Dragon opened last year and eclipsed MF by a few feet as well MPH....
Nonetheless would still like to ride both.
Kraken is the tallest coaster in the southeast? Thought that that was what I read in some brochure. :)

In Fox's Austrailia Theme Park.
I'm sorry I don't have the addy for it, but it's there. Supposedly it's based on have the guests as extras in the sinking scene.
I have problems with this whole idea since it was a REAL tragedy.
