How'd did/does it go? I just bought a couple today and I was wondering if anyone else uses/used them and if they like them. :)

I bought the standing leg routine and the 5 minute ab (blech, hate ab work, 5 minutes is enough for me. :p) routine.

Anyone? :D

I have several in the series. The tough parts tapes are pretty effective, and I do the abs tape once a week (the whole 35 minutes at once-I'm a glutton for punishment.) I also have some of their weightlifting and aerobic tapes, but I don't use those as often.

Drawbacks:

They use a high (14") step for alot of the exercises which can't be found in stores. I use a kitchen step stool instead.

The moves can be a little hard to follow initially, but you'll get the hang of it.

The instructors are as annoying as fingernails on a blackboard.

Advantages:

You'll see results pretty quickly.

They generally last for 40-45 minutes. Most tapes run either 30 minutes or an hour, so they are somewhat unique.

Good luck!

Don't they include the two steps things? (so you don't need to provide your own)

Or do those cost extra. They make it sound like you get it for free.

I just started doing a firm tape that someone loaned me at work. Yes, they are pretty tough. But I did feel that it will show results. I am really out of shape, so I did as much as I could. Yes, some of the moves are strange, but once I get the hang of it... I use a kitchen step stool - plenty high enough for me!

Since I liked it, I am planning on asking for the newer ones for christmas. (I have volume four)

Good Luck!

Thanks everyone! The tape I bought today is Abs 5 Days a Week, not 5 Minutes a Day. ROTFLOL!!! :p ACK! I like that you all said you noticed results rather quickly. That's what I want. :p

coqui - I think I know what you're talking about. I saw a set of steps and tapes advertised on television. The tapes I bought today are individual tapes. I think if I like the tapes, I'll buy the set advertised on TV. They look like fun. :D I think! :p

That's the one I'm talking about.

I didn't know you could buy this stuff in a store. I assumed you had to call them.

I can tell that stuff works though. This is one of those infomercials that will actually tell the truth.

Notice there isn't a single supermodel like they have in most other infomercials.

That and when I did do weightlifting (grew from a 145 pound wimp to the 225 pound guy I am now) I did most of those same excercises.

Which brings me to my next point. Remember ladies, you may gain weight doing this. But it will be a good weight gain since it's the muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. (I say ladies cuz it seems like this workout is geared towards women only - although I don't see why this wouldn't work for guys too)

Wow! That sounds like a great deal, Saffron! You can go to their website too, besides the phone number from the infomercial.

Hey, Saffron....have I ever told you how much I miss your old siggie? Was that hunter or colby? I can never remember names!:)

Oh! LOL Michele! He was fun, wasn't he! LOL!! One of the tag fairies put him in there one night! LOL! That was Hunter. :teeth: I tried to kind of auction him off over the summer before I sent him to the cyber space clipart recycle bin, but no one wanted him. :p :p
