Great WS update! I have also read rave reviews about the caramel bar but have yet to make it into the shop to get one. Bummer you didn't like it as much as everyone else.

Ooh, planning for an Italy trip sounds fun!

First of all, congratulations on the job promotion and belated happy birthday to both you and Jasmine :dance3:

Wonderful day in Epcot, wandering and taking it all in :goodvibes Those drinks certainly looked yummy. Too bad about your neighbour at dinner, but it didn't look like you let her ruin your meal. I guess that is one of the upsides of not doing the dining plan is that you could just order soup and not feel like you were wasting a dining credit.

Your pictures made me feel like I was there :thumbsup2

Thanks so much Lara:hug:

I can honestly say that I don't think I will purchase the DDP (unless it's the free dining offer) because I loved the fact that I could have just a little something, split something with Jasmine or go all out....I liked that this time! Have the TIW card helped though, 20% off does add up!:thumbsup2

I am so happy you enjoyed the pics....:cloud9:

I have always thought I have a sweet tooth, but that was just too much for me...but I had no problems scarfing down the apple:lmao:

We looked into it with Adventures by Disney so we have a rough idea of how much we have to save....we both set up separate accounts to save for just this vacation....won't be touching it for at least 5 years:eek:

I am all caught up... finally! :thumbsup2

Congratulations on your promotion! That's so awesome! :woohoo::yay:

Hahahahaha, I really hope Peg posts her picture of Jeff and the birds outside of Norway! I bet it's hilarious! :rotfl: It's always so funny seeing grown men act scared about something... because it doesn't happen too often!

It sounds like yall had a wonderful day in World Showcase! I need to make a point to stop at the caramel shop in Germany next trip!

I'm not sure if I ever congratulated you on your promotion, so here it is.........
Congratulations!!!!!!! there, I shouldn't forget that now!

Second - fingers crossed that you DO win the lottery tonight. than share some, please! :rotfl: Take us all to Disney!

Your pictures are lovely. I love the pictures of Jeff and Jasmine. they are such a cute couple. The whole bird phobia reminds me of a show I saw recently on animal planet. They took three people that were death afraid of three different living creatures (snakes, spiders, and dogs) and did an immersion until they were totally free of their phobia. It was pretty cool.

I will remember the apple with the W on it, because if you eat a piece of fruit doesn't it cancel out all the calories in the chocolate. :confused3 :rotfl:

Oh - and the annoying woman - Yuck! That would make me lose my appetite!

Lovely continuation of your Epcot day...Oh, to be there with the warmth of the sun...(I am chilly right now - temp outside isn't bad at all 45 Degs F- but still ahhh, shorts...:lmao:)

I love that you are looking into Adventures by Disney for Italy. If we ever plan a trip to Europe, I am going to make sure we save enough to do ABD!

One thing I haven't told you about Jeff is that he has this unnatural fear of birds...any birds...all birds....actually anything that flies...birds, wasps, bees, flies....get my drift?:lmao: Anyhoodle, we were sitting enjoying our lunch and anyone who has ever eaten outdoors in Norway knows there is a ton of sparrows around...well you can image Jeff's horror.

Perhaps I can help. Sometimes when you have a phobia about something, it helps to take your mind off things. Perhaps a movie? Maybe a classic? Ah, I have just the thing for him...

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc253/pkondz/birds.jpg

Actually, I was laughing so hard that I couldn't take a picture, but apparently Peg has a priceless one so let's hope she gets on here and posts it! He was flailing and shreiking and I couldn't stop laughing....as a matter of fact, everyone in the eating area was laughing! He couldn't take the birds any longer so they waited for us on a bench along the lagoon! I am laughing as I type this:rolleyes1

That's our Queen, always the understanding, sensitive one. :lmao:

Then we stopped at the Karamell Kuche...and OMG...this was pure heaven in here! Just have a look at these little delicacies!

Man, everything there looks soooooo good! I feel myself gaining weight just looking at it.

See that delicious apple with the W on it....one of those would make it home with Jasmine and let me tell you it was devine...probably the best snack I've had on property!

Well I know what I'm having next time we go. :)

Here are the Bickerson's again arguing about their wishes in front of the fountain, just had to post this one because I love the look on Jasmine's face!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/283-4.jpg

C'mon, ya gotta tell me.
No, no, no. How many times do I hafta tell you? No!

The little village...this brings back memories of our childhood for Peg and I .... we lived in Germany for 4 years when we were kids while my dad was in the military and this is a place we always visited on vacations when we were there.

Were you in Lahr? And do you mean that the little village is modeled after a real one in Germany?

there was a nasty nasty mean lady at the next table to us. You know the type, the one that thinks she's the only one that exists in the room, the world revolves around her...

I hate people like that.

I gave her the death stare til she looked at me and all I said was "unbelievable how a grown woman can act"...couldn't help myself she made me sick with her attitude:headache:

Good for you. Did she respond in any way? Either to you or in her attitude?

too bad Cruella was sitting right next to Jasmine but we ended up just ignoring her to the best of our abilities!

Ah, well. Oh BTW, I think I have a pretty good idea how you drink tea. You do it with your pinkie up, right? Oh, I don't know how I'd know that... :rolleyes1

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc253/pkondz/pinkie.jpg

Everyone was ready to head back to the resort after our day so we skipped Illuminations and took the boat to DHS and then caught our bus from there.

I'm a little surprised that you didn't let Jeff see Illuminations. But, then again, overdoing it is not the way to go either. Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

Aw poor Jeff! As soon as you said that I was thinking "Oh no eating outside at Disney is a bird fearer's worst nightmare!" I can relate to Jeff though I am pretty terrified of birds and at Disney I am always having to watch where I eat or where I walk  Never take him to the bird show in AK

Yay! Those W carmel apples are my favorite!!!

Very cute pics in Germany!

Aw too bad about your Les Chefs dinner! People can sometimes get cranky and rude in Disney :sad2:

Can't wait for more!

Hey girl, glad to see you back:hug: ....and thank you for the good wishes:goodvibes

I am going to call her this morning and ask her or Geodoc to get that picture on here! Last summer Jeff told us he was only afraid of wasps and bees....we found out differently very quickly when there was a house fly buzzing around...still cracks me up:goodvibes!:rotfl2:

You definitely need to stop at the caramel shop...the caramel popcorn was the best I have ever had!

Aww thanks Mary Ellen for the good wishes :goodvibes I haven't checked my lottery ticket yet, however, if it is the big winner I promise you I will take you to Disney!!! Can you imagine us all in the Ditch, they wouldn't know what hit them!

I have the same fear but of spiders and can't imagine having to touch one or even be near one:scared1:

Yes, if it's fruit of anykind absolutely, positively no calories at Disney! That woman was horrid! I never understand why it seems so many people are grumpy at Disney....I just don't get it!:confused3

Sounds like a wonderful afternoon in world showcase!

Ooooh I hope we get to see the photo of Jeff and the birds.

It was one of the best days we had that's for sure! It doesn't take much to make us happy when we're in the World...the worst day in Disney is still better than no day at Disney:thumbsup2 I am keeping my fingers crossed that Peg will have that picture up today!

I agree, it would be so nice to be in shorts right now! We've had an unbelievable fall but it's still warmer in Disney! I think we've been hovering around the same temps as you which is so not normal for us this time of year!;)

I told Jas that if we were going I want to do it right and I've heard nothing but good things about ABD!! My aunt just returned from 2 weeks in Italy and she said she would go again in a heartbeat....I also want to do NYC....come on lottery win!!!!!:lmao:

just saying hi to let you know I am still following along!

Hello my friend:hug:I'm glad you're still here!

Ooooh, great update!

Perhaps I can help. Sometimes when you have a phobia about something, it helps to take your mind off things. Perhaps a movie? Maybe a classic? Ah, I have just the thing for him...

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc253/pkondz/birds.jpg

:lmao:You and I had the same thought....I told him I was going to buy him that movie for Christmas...he looked at me and said "that's not funny...not funny at all" :rotfl2:

That's our Queen, always the understanding, sensitive one. :lmao:

I know, it's not easy all the time, but I try:rolleyes1

Man, everything there looks soooooo good! I feel myself gaining weight just looking at it.

I could have bought one of everything! Peg's girls tried the chocolate caramel cupcake and they loved it! Chocolate and sugar and two little girls...what's not to love!

Well I know what I'm having next time we go. :)

Jasmine and I split one and it was perfect...actually even if there was four of us sharing, it would have been perfect!

C'mon, ya gotta tell me.
No, no, no. How many times do I hafta tell you? No!

That was the exact dialogue!! Word by word!!

Were you in Lahr? And do you mean that the little village is modeled after a real one in Germany?

No we were in Hemer/Deilinghofen (sp?) and the little village was in a place called Madura Dam ... I don't know if that's the correct spelling either but that's how it sounds when you say it! We loved going there and we loved the little village!

I hate people like that.

You and me both...it actually makes me crazy!

Good for you. Did she respond in any way? Either to you or in her attitude?

I just got a look, but no, it changed nothing....we were all just super friendly and caring towards the server, poor little thing. I always think of Jasmine and if someone treated her like that on the job (which I know they have) and I always say to her...be super nice and don't let it get to you!

Ah, well. Oh BTW, I think I have a pretty good idea how you drink tea. You do it with your pinkie up, right? Oh, I don't know how I'd know that... :rolleyes1

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc253/pkondz/pinkie.jpg

:lmao::lmao:I didn't even notice that....and no I can't imagine why you would think that:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

I'm a little surprised that you didn't let Jeff see Illuminations. But, then again, overdoing it is not the way to go either. Thanks for the update! :goodvibes
I asked him and Jasmine if they wanted to stay and just meet us back at the hotel but they decided they too were tired so we would see it another day:confused3

Very cute pics in Germany!

Aw too bad about your Les Chefs dinner! People can sometimes get cranky and rude in Disney :sad2:

Can't wait for more!

Yeah...I didn't think that one thru enough or at all for that matter:lmao: I'll remember for next time...no outside eating!:thumbsup2

It was your suggestion that I took to try those apples so thank you:worship:

We tried to ignore her but it wasn't so much us that bothered me, it was the poor young server. I could just imagine she would have been one of those customers that would have made her cry! It makes me crazy when someone treats my staff that way and I never tolerate that either!;)

Just loving this thread and your account of your family`s trip.

Pic`s outstanding.

I am going with DD24 next year for 2 weeks, one of which will be at AKL in a value studio.

The carmel store and your comments about the popcorn there caught my attention.

I hadn`t seen that store previously.

About the carmel popcorn, yes I have a sweet tooth. We are staying our first week at WV. Is the carmel popcorn and some of the other carmel treat in that store OK to have packed and taken back to our room on a warm day.

I`m also very interested in the different animal related activities y`all did at AKL in addition to the swimming.

Many thanks,
Dan

I'm so sorry to hear you didn't like the chewy caramel bar! I admit, I do have an extremely high tolerance for sweetness.

Congratulations on the promotion! That's exciting.

Chefs de France looks like fun. I've never been there. Do they still bring Remy around?

Great update, Queen. Love all the photos throughout WS. Too bad you had Cruella at the table next to you at dinner. i sometimes wonder why some people go to Disney World because it just doesn't see that they would be happy anywere, least the happiest place on earth.

It is a must stop place if you enjoy anything and everything caramel. We took our treats back to the room on one particular afternoon but we purchased them right as we were leaving ... so I honestly can't say how long they would last if you weren't leaving right away!
I`m also very interested in the different animal related activities y`all did at AKL in addition to the swimming.
The swimming was a must do for us almost everyday of the vacation...that pool area is a little piece of heaven! My BIL took the kids down one evening to use the night vision goggles to watch the animals...they loved it. Besides that, we mostly enjoyed them from our balcony as often as we were in our room!
Many thanks,
Dan

Hi there!

Yep... I'm still alive. Been busy as the proverbial long tailed cat on a porch full of rocking chairs! Got a new job so I've been studying like mad for that an expect to continue for the next few weeks just to make sure I can keep up. But I had a bit of time this morning and I so terribly missed the TR so here I am. Hope I an be forgiven?

First, I found out that when we were away in Florida in August the water company did an estimate on our usage and overcharged us so I am getting a cheque for $538.00! .......

Wow!!!! What a windfall!!! And I love the idea that you got the "same" purse your mom had. Bet that feels good every time you look at it!

I just can't get into the Duffy thing. I dunno why. I guess he just doesn't seem like a "real" Disney character to me. Of course, I feel the same way about Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Don't get me wrong... I love Winnie and Tigger's my absolute fave!!!! But, somehow it's just not "Disney". I dunno.... I guess I'm just weird, huh?

They had to try these on before we left the TT store....faces only a mother could love!

Nah... you know we love 'em too!

Oh, and before I forget... hope y'all get to come doown here when the kids are 21 (and hopefully I'll have tix by then) because I think it would be SOOOO much fun to go drinking around the world (WS at least) with y'all.

Of course the first thing Jasmine asked was if the raise was enough for us to book a trip:confused3:lmao:

That's my girl!!!!

Anyhoodle, we were sitting enjoying our lunch and anyone who has ever eaten outdoors in Norway knows there is a ton of sparrows around...well you can image Jeff's horror.

Ooooh, I do hope Peg posts the picture (or is she doing her own TR that I need to get over to?). Sounds priceless!!!

Here are the Bickerson's again arguing about their wishes in front of the fountain, just had to post this one because I love the look on Jasmine's face!

What a great shot!!!! Bet she was none to happy with you posting it, though. ;-)

once she graduates from University this will be the trip we take....the real Italy with Adventures by Disney....already planning that one!!!

Oh that sounds FANTASTIC!!! Can't wait for the trippie from that one!!!!

The story behind this picture was Jeff trying to act tough as the birds were flying around again...hysterical!

Oh, and he does look soooo tough!! Well... maybe except for just a little bit around the eyes. :rotfl2::banana:

I gave her the death stare til she looked at me and all I said was "unbelievable how a grown woman can act"...couldn't help myself she made me sick with her attitude

You go girl!!!! What makes that woman believe she can act like the Evil Queen of Anything when the magniloquent Queen of All Things is sitting right next to her. Off with her head, IMO!!!

I ended up just having the soup and it was delicious

Okay, I was doing pretty good with the eating today (well, it's only 7am) until I saw this. Now I know what I'm making for dinner!!!

Perhaps I can help. Sometimes when you have a phobia about something, it helps to take your mind off things. Perhaps a movie? Maybe a classic? Ah, I have just the thing for him...

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc253/pkondz/birds.jpg

Oooh, I DOOO so love your sense of humor, pkondz!!!! :rotfl:

And Queen.... you should SOOOOOO definitely get him that movie for Christmas. Look at it this way.. you're doing him a favor. I mean, if this boy does happen to be "the one" (and yes, I know she's MUCH to young to be thinking about that now but if they're still together years from now)... if he does happen to be "the one" then you'll be doing him a favor by letting him know right off the get-go what kind of family he's getting into. :rotfl2::cool1:

Okay, the idea of Jeff freaking out about the birds at lunch just had me laughing at the thought of it. OMG, if you have that picture, you will definitely have to post it.

World Showcase is one of my favorite places to wander around aimlessly. Love the pictures. I'm sorry about the Crabby McCrabberson at Chefs de France. Those kinds of people are so irritating. However, that picture of the soup made me so happy. One of my favorites things. :lovestruc

Wow!!!! What a windfall!!! And I love the idea that you got the "same" purse your mom had. Bet that feels good every time you look at it!

It sure does! Found out the other day there when Peg and stopped by the Coach store again that they only got 2 of the purses in like mine so I could have sold it that morning to a lady that was desperate for it....no way would I ever sell it, I love it!

They are kinda loveable! That is when our next trip is planned...August 2013...Jasmine won't be 21 until October, but with school that's what worked! She said she doesn't care as much as Jeff (he turned 21 in Feb of 2013) he is quite excited about drinking around the world! You start saving now girl!!! You need to be with us!

That's my girl!!!!

Thank you!

Funny thing, she never said a word...could have something to do with the last time she complained about a picture I posted a worse one....gosh I crack myself up:lmao:
Oh that sounds FANTASTIC!!! Can't wait for the trippie from that one!!!!

I can't wait for that one either....gotta talk the rest of the family into going with us!
Oh, and he does look soooo tough!! Well... maybe except for just a little bit around the eyes. :rotfl2::banana:

He's a big 'ol softy!
You go girl!!!! What makes that woman believe she can act like the Evil Queen of Anything when the magniloquent Queen of All Things is sitting right next to her. Off with her head, IMO!!!

:lmao:
Okay, I was doing pretty good with the eating today (well, it's only 7am) until I saw this. Now I know what I'm making for dinner!!!

It was sooooo good!

I agree 100%, he has the best sense of humour! I am sick enough to do it....going to Wal mart this weekend to look for it!!

:lovestruc

Hey girl....welcome home:hug: Hoping my sister can post it tonight!

That soup was so delicious...it's snowing here right now and a bowl of that would be just perfect:cloud9:

I thought I would have had at least a few more updates posted this past week and a half that I was on vacation, but turns out even though I was at home I was busy busy busy!

Any thought of a 2012 Disney Vacation went out the window last Monday when Jasmine and I went and splurged on all brand new furniture! Trust me, it was time! Unfortunately, none of the pieces we choose were in stock, so they will all be delivered on December 10, just in time for Christmas! We bought a new big screen TV, a beautiful leather couch and loveseat, new coffee and end tables and finally a beautiful entertainment unit that has a fireplace in it! The tv will go on top of this! I have to say I was sick as I was adding everything up in my head but once it was all ordered and paid for, I felt great! I can't wait to have it all home. We looked at a kitchen set too but didn't get it, but I think I will be calling the store this week to add it on, Jasmine fell in love with the set so we'll see!

So, once again, you're all caught up in our day to day lives so on with an update on the TR! This brings us to our first day of this trip at Animal Kingdom!

We were up bright and early because we had an 8:05am ADR at Tusker House! We were all very excited as we hadn't eaten here before and we all know how everyone loves those early morning shots of an empty park!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/300.jpg
Here are the kids just as we arrived at the park. Jeff wasn't sure he could eat as many plates at breakfast as he did at dinner but he was going to give it everything he had!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/301.jpg
I love this shop and always manage to buy something in it each and every trip!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/302-1.jpg
We were about 15 minutes away from our ADR time so I had to try and get as many pictures on the way to the restaurant as I could!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/303-1.jpg
Jeff was super excited to be here! He just couldn't imagine how AK would be when we kept telling him it's Na-Ta-Zu LOL!! We just kept telling him he would have to wait and see! Doesn't he look happy!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/306-2.jpg
Jeff was in fine form this morning...when he saw this sign to Africa he was jumping around...hilarious!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/308-2.jpg
MM loves ladybugs and had her ladybug earrings on this morning so we had to snap this shot!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/309-2.jpg
The babycare centre....I love this sign!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/310-2.jpg
Finally at the gates to Africa!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/311-2.jpg
Do they look excited or what? It was our first breakfast ADR of the trip and our first character meal of the trip and I think the big kids were more excited than the little kids!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/312-2.jpg
The menu!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/313-2.jpg
Is that the look of love...I think so! I'm telling you, the kid is crazy funny!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/314-2.jpg
We went to check in, got our family portrait taken with Donald (no, we didn't buy it) and preceded into the restaurant!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/315-1.jpg
Because we were taken in right away the buffet hadn't been disturbed yet so I set about with my camera to grab at least a few pictures of the food before everyone starting digging in....it was absolutely beautiful!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/316-2.jpg
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/317-2.jpg
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/318-2.jpg
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/319-2.jpg
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/320-2.jpg
We had enough time to grab our first plates of food before the characters started coming around! Also had juice and coffee, both of which were delicious. I could have swore you could have pressed pot coffee here, but nope you can't! I was a little bummed but got over it pretty quickly!! Our first visitor was the Main Mouse himself!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/321-2.jpg
Jasmine apparently was having a cat nap before her breakfast!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/322-2.jpg
Jeff was not sure how he liked the character breakfast thing...eating is a sport for him and the interruptions seemed to be annoying him....LOL He was actually trying not to enjoy the experience too much, you know, trying the macho thing again!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/323-2.jpg
Who doesn't love Daisy!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/324-1.jpg
Goofy is one of the characters that we have found always gives my big kids as much attention as he does the little ones!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/325-1.jpg
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/326-1.jpg
One of my favorite pictures of the trip! What I found funny on this trip was how Jasmine, Jeff and I would all end up with matching outfits on and not even try!

Up next....where would we head after breakfast?

Wow - Nice job with the undisturbed breakfast pictures. That food looks sooooooooo yummy.

So funny about Jeff thinking food is a sport and the characters are basically just annoying fans. :rotfl: How many plates of food did he have for breakfast?

I do think its cute that the three of your wore white shirts. Great pictures of Jas and Jeff and the rest of the gang.

Great update Queen. We love Tusker House-it was our first WDW restaurant, and it holds a special place in our hearts! That's great about the new furniture. Whew I am finally back to see how the trip is going. I have a ton to comment on!! lol
Glad to hear the new job is going well. And glad your new team is making your job easier!! Who doesn't love that!! Congrats on all your bonuses lately, I did the gold a couple of years ago and was pleasantly surprised as well. Hope you post pics of your beautiful new furniture!! I have been saying for years I was getting new furniture, then we go to Disney instead. Sound familiar to about half the people on here?? lol I wanted to plan a trip next year but I just found out my dd's class is going to PARIS, so obviously I am going too. :rotfl: Like I would send my child that far away, that's just wrong. (But at $2000 a person it might be difficult! lol)
The pics of everyone just keep getting better and better, it is clear that everyone gets along and is having the best trip.
I think I got the caramel bar on my last trip, did it have little nuts on it? Or covered in chocolate with nuts? I don't know. I know it was sweet and I would take a little bite and put it back in the bag. I loved it and ate it for 3 days. lol
The margaritas look so yummy!! I have such a weak tolerance for alcohol, I never get anything when I am in Disney, I don't want to jinx feeling awful for 2 days. I had a beer and part of a chocolate martini a few weeks ago and felt terrible for 2 days. It's not fair!! lol

Ok if I remember anything else I will be back. It's nice to have a week off school and only have to work 3 days this week. I miss my Dis!!!

Take care my friend!!

Great update Queen. We love Tusker House-it was our first WDW restaurant, and it holds a special place in our hearts! That's great about the new furniture. I notice in this trip report you keep saying you won't be going back to WDW for a couple of years, are you trying to convince us or yourself?;)

I can see why it would hold that special place:lovestruc I am definitely, positively trying to convince myself....pathetic but oh so true:confused3

Yay for new furniture! Can't wait to see pictures once it's all settled in your house!
Love the breakfast pictures-- and how coordinated you, Jas, and Jeff are! Love it! The breakfast looks so fresh.

I can't wait to share them with you! Thanks and yes it was so fresh and delicious!

Paris....you must do everything you can to go....you will love it! It is a beautiful city and I'm a firm believer in if the opportunity is there, grab it:thumbsup2

Oh dear....that's not good if it doesn't make you feel good! I hope you're enjoying your week off and if I don't get a chance to talk to you before Thursday, I hope you guys have an awesome Thanksgiving!

Tusker House looks really fun! I love the pictures of the buffet while everything is still perfect.

Congratulations on the new furniture!:goodvibes

It was fun, the characters are great! Thanks:goodvibes

Once again, I find myself apologizing for not being on here more often to get posts up! Life right now is very hectic and there just seems to be very little time for Dis-ing! Between work and getting ready for the holidays time is flying by! I have to take advantage of the time that Jasmine is off work so we can get out and get some things done too! We headed out first thing yesterday morning to Homesense (she gets a discount there as it's part of the chain that she works for) and got some new pictures and accessories to go with the new furniture, two weeks and it arrives.

Ok, on with the TR!! We had just finished up having a delcious breakfast at TH and were ready to start our day! It was time to head over to EE so off we went!

Jeff thought the theming in this park was fantastic! He had to stop and play and the drums so the girls joined in!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/329-2.jpg
Jeff and Jasmine were both in crazy happy excited moods on this fine morning and they decided to show it, they would run ahead and jump and click their heels. Jeff has this mastered....my Jasmine....not so much:lmao: Considering she did competitive cheerleading for 4 years and holds a second degree black belt in Taekwondo, you'd think she's be a little more co-ordinated with this....but no:confused3
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/330-2.jpg
Still trying to get that perfect shot of Jeff in the air
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/331-2.jpg
FINALLY!!! I was laughing so hard I have no idea how these pictures got taken! As you can also see, the park is virtually empty so we knew we would have a walk on once we arrived at EE. It was such a great feeling just wandering thur there listening to the birds...it was a great morning!

MM making sure Jeff doesn't grab Jasmine and ride with her.....it was her turn to ride with Jasmine so I got to ride with Jeff;)
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/339-2.jpg

http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/340-1.jpg
The Lost Expedition....how much fun do I have with this? I always go on and on about us not making it back and what if only some of us do....I'm such a mean auntie! The girls are used to me now, but Jeff wasn't impressed with my montage!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/341-2.jpg
Still making sure she's riding with Jasmine!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/342-1.jpg
Finally make it to the front and it's time to board! I laughed so hard thruout this ride...Jeff was screaming like a little girl! It was priceless! At the end, he told me he did it so the ride would be more fun and enjoyable for me! Ok, we'll go with that one!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/343-1.jpg

How exciting to shop for accessories for your new living room. Christmas morning will be extra special at your house!! I love great pics with great backgrounds, sounds like you will have some beauties. I am happy if there isn't too much wrapping paper and junk in the background when I do mine. lol

Thanks:goodvibes

Isn't that a cute area...it was as we were walking from TH on our was to EE! As much as MM loves Jeff, I think she gets annoyed sometimes that Jasmine is always with him, so she marks her territory early now. She'll sit down right next to her on the couch before Jeff has a chance, will tell her that they are sitting next to each other at the dinner table....it's hilarious!

We also had an empty park on our AK day! It's so nice-- makes the park feel really peaceful! Love the pictures of Jas and Jeff goofing off and trying to kick their heels. :lmao: Too funny!

They are the best aren't they:goodvibes They were having the time of their lives on this morning!

I can't wait to see your new furniture and accessories! I love Animal Kingdom! We have a lunch reservation for Tusker. I am trying to change it to breakfast because the time is so much more convenient. The lunch does include characters now.

Your pictures always show everyone's happiness! Love it! :goodvibes

Furniture is to arrived next Saturday (Dec 10) so unless there is some glitch I should have pics up next Saturday evening! I am so excited:goodvibes

Hopefully you'll get in for breakfast then you have your whole day to enjoy the park! Didn't realize the characters were there at lunch...good to know:thumbsup2

Thank you for that....we are a pretty happy bunch or crazy....somedays it's both!:rotfl2:

Wow I can't believe how empty the park is! We're planning on August for our summer 2013 trip and this makes me excited. Love all the pictures of the details in the park.

REALLY?? Maybe our paths will cross...our next trip is planned for last 2 weeks of August in 2013!!! I will keep my fingers crossed!:goodvibes

Happy for you that you're getting new furniture but sad that you won't be there this summer with me.

I LOOOVE Winner's and Homesense. Actually I'll be heading there later today.

We really enjoyed our Tusker House breakfast. I had overlooked this restaurant until our last trip but now the kids are insisting we put it on our regular rotation. Although I suspect the presence of the Krispie Kreme donuts are really what put Tusker House on their list.

We are a heel clicking family. Of course with my dancing kids we are also a twirling, leaping and kicking sort of family too.

Thanks Debbie, and I might have mislead you with the way I typed the 30% off, it's for associates and family only:sad2: I don't want you to head out under false pretenses:lmao:

It's one of the first things I said to Peg...."Diamond is going next year and we won't be there:sad1:"

I'll think of you while we're there today! We hit up Homesense already...I could have spent a fortune in there but tried to restrain myself....still did alot of damage tho:rolleyes1

I don't get the hype for Krispie Kreme's ... but then again, if I'm gonna cheat it's not gonna be with a donut:lmao:

Hi Queen!! Between you, Hypermommy and myself, we are doing pretty good. lol at least we make time for this once in awhile. I am supposed to be doing homework but for some reason facebook has sucked me in today. It is so interesting to click on weird stuff and watch random links. Forget my neuro homework. That stuff is boring....:rolleyes1 lol

Are you surviving the colder weather? We are enjoying it. I drive all day for my job so I dread the bad roads but so far just rain pretty much. I told my boss I am getting the cute Coach rain boots (I wear suits so I figure she might not appreciate that lol) I just think wading around from the car to the buildings I go to all day would be that much more fun. lol

Can't wait to see the new furniture!!! One more week!

Oh my gosh, the whole birds thing with Jeff, I'm anxious to see that picture. Happy New Year everyone! Jasmine is getting ready to go to work and I thought if I don't sit down right now and get another post done it probably won't happen! My goal today is to get the tree down and all the decorations put away...I don't particularly love this part of the holidays....I love having my tree up as I'm sure you all realized when I put it up near the beginning/middle of November:lmao:

It time to finish up our day at AK! Jeff was particularly excited about going on safari...and yes, he was jumping around in the line waiting to board! It was like having two 6 year olds on the trip....except MM was a bit more mature....he'll kill me for that one!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/347-1.jpg
Thought I better grab this shot before we started bouncing around and then I never know how they'll turn out! This is also where the TR title came from....when the driver said Jambo everyone....that was it, Jeff took it on as his own personal saying for everyone and everything we did on our trip from here on out!!! As a matter of fact, he still does it whenever he sees MM and SW!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/348-1.jpg

http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/354-2.jpg

http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/358-2.jpg
These guys caused quite the traffic jam! He finally moved only to have the next group stop us!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/362-3.jpg
Jeff couldn't believe that he was seeing these guys so up close! His favorite Disney movie is The Lion King so this was really something....in all the years we have been coming to Disney, we'lve never been this close!

I found this guy a bit un-nerving being so close! We all kept telling Jeff he was our good luck charm because we had never had a safari like this before...he replied with "Your welcome I do my best" BOYS!!!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/382-3.jpg
After a wonderful safari we headed over to FOTLK...my favorite attraction on property hands down! This is the only picture I have as I only enjoy the show, I used to take pictures but then felt I didn't get as much out of the show! It was just as good as always!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/383-3.jpg
From FOTLK, we headed to Dinosaur! Jeff kept asking what kind of a ride it was so I did what every good person would do with someone new to DIsney....I lied to him:rotfl2: I told him it was a quite ride kinda like a documentary of dinosaurs...he was very excited......
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/388-3.jpg
....this picture makes me howl everytime I look at it! Jasmine's big brave man....NOT!!! We created quite a stir in the gift shop laughing at Jeff's reaction!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/389-3.jpg
We decided it was time for lunch and we thought since we hadn't been to RFC in years that we would treat outselves for a nice lunch!

I love the RFC! I wish they had one here!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!!
I took my tree and decorations down on the 27th as it's been pretty quiet around here since DD left on boxing day to visit with DS who is living in Copenhagen. That only leaves one son at home and the other is married.

How could you tell him Dinosaur was like a documentary?? :scared1: :lmao: The first time I rode I was not yet a DISer and hadn't done any homework. I figured the ride was something like the Universe of Energy in Epcot. If my ride photo could ever be recovered I am sure it would be hysterical! :rotfl:

YAY THE SAFARI! I really wish you took a video of some of these moments, Queen. I would've loved to have seen Jeff jumping along while you were waiting in line- the youngest of the group at heart lol But glad to see he really enjoyed it and that's awesome how he adopted the phrase the ride begins with. Total DISer ::yes:: It still shocks me though how people always yell about how some animals get so close on the safari or missing out on some animals and it seems both times I've been on the safari, they are just drawn to the trucks. Seriously, an Ostrich was within arm reach of me, it was insane! I wonder if its just us guys who are good luck charms. That's right I said it! :teeth:

FotLK, another show I must see and the way you talk about it Queen, the better it sounds. Top of my list next trip, top of the list (if I had one lol)! ;) And that is such a great picture of you guys on DINOSAUR! I must say out of all of you, Jeff seems the most terrified. You look like "WOW, THAT IS ONE HECKUVA DINOSAUR!" then Jasmine is like "Not looking, it will be over" and then Jeff is "OMG, I'M GOING TO DIE! I'M GOING TO DIE! JASMINE SAVE ME!" I don't think you guys said any of that, but that's how I interpret it :)

Mmmmm... RFC looks so good after all these years. More reason to go to one of the nicer ones in WDW :cloud9: And pool time again! You guys really get a lot out of those pools! I mean, AKL does have the best, but still you guys look like you have a lot of fun. :thumbsup2

Your Safari pics are amazing! Loved hearing about jeff's reaction to the safari. Also cute story about how he kept saying "Jambo Everyone" to everyone. The little things really do make the best trip stories.

jeff's reaction to dinosaur was hillarious as well! I would react the same way but then again i'm not a teenage boy so this doesn't mean much.

Great update, but even if you had posted a couple of smilies, I would have been happy!

It's okay to go slowly with the trip report, you have until 2013, right??? (But I do hope you run into some money to make it in 2012 (maybe in the summer at the same time as us...:rolleyes1)

When Emma was 6 on our first trip, she wasn't worried about Dinosaur. I told her it was loud and scary...no worries from her. Then, in the preshow, the guy said, hopefully we can bring you back... And Emma got really nervous. "Mommy, are we going back in time?" I assured her that not for real. (But then I probably joked with her...:sad2: bad mom.)

We haven't eaten at RFC yet. Maybe this trip since we won't be on the dining plan. (I can't spend $100 a day for two ten-year olds who eat more snacks than food...)

From FOTLK, we headed to Dinosaur! Jeff kept asking what kind of a ride it was so I did what every good person would do with someone new to DIsney....I lied to him:rotfl2: I told him it was a quite ride kinda like a documentary of dinosaurs...he was very excited......

I would've been bitterly disapointed in you if you had done otherwise. :rotfl:

....this picture makes me howl everytime I look at it! Jasmine's big brave man....NOT!!! We created quite a stir in the gift shop laughing at Jeff's reaction!

Okay, nevermind the muscles comment. You could take him!

I will upload some more pictures and hopefully get another update done...I really need to get moving on this TR!!!!

Can't wait! Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

What an amazing safari trip! And to have a first timer experience it that way is a great treat.

I agree with you, FOTLK is the best! I always find myself wishing it lasted longer, because I just get so caught up in the songs and performances.

Oh man, I laughed out loud at the Dinosaur picture. So many different reactions, and you know Jeff is thinking, "This is NOT a documentary!!!!" :rotfl:

Uh, seeing the AKL pool while I'm shivering with the heater on just makes me miss summer and warmer weather.

Happy New Year! :goodvibes
Happy New Year to you too my friend!
Happy New Year! Glad to see you're back! I've missed you
...and I you my friend:hug: I have to say waking up on Christmas morning to Caitlin's text made my day:goodvibes We were going to stop at my mom's grave before heading to my sister's and I was feeling pretty sorry for myself and then I saw her text and I realized just how lucky we all are to have met and formed this wonderful friendship! Our wishes for a spectacular 2012....we both deserve a good one after what we all went thru in 2011:hug:
Welcome back and Happy New Year to all of you out there in warm Manitoba!
Warm is right.....+2 is the high for tomorrow!! Almost time to break out the shorts;)
Hello Queen! Sorry I haven't been commenting lately. Ever since the end of October and Halloween, I think everything caught up with me and I haven't had the chance to be on the DIS as much as I used to. But... I did catch up and I thoroughly enjoyed all the updates :)
I completely understand and am very happy you're back!

Oh my gosh, the whole birds thing with Jeff, I'm anxious to see that picture. Ever since someone mentioned Sheldon from Big Bang Theory and his Ornithophobia (I think that's how it spelled/It's fear of birds btw), I'm dying here with the thoughts of possible images  And I'm so glad to know my friends and I are not the only people doing the crazy heel-clicking thing all over creation lol

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

You are going to die laughing....I'm calling my sister right now to get her to post it!!!

I love the crazy heel-clicking thing...nothing says pure happiness better than that!!

Oh and I hope you have a very Happy New Year!
And you too sweetie!
Nice TR. Love the pictures! We were there in May/June with with 15 of our family members, what a trip! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! That sounds like an amazing time....hope you had a blast!

Hi Queen, I hope you guys had an amazing Christmas and New Years.

I hadn't been able to catch up on your TR for quite some time, and finally had a chance too. I really enjoyed your last couple of updates and can't wait for your next one.

That's awesome news that you guys have the furniture all assembled, and I'm looking forward to seeing your pics :goodvibes

We sure did and we hope you did too!

I got a bit behind in my TR but am back on track now! I have uploaded the furniture pictures so hopefully later tonight I will have them on here!

Happy New Year to you and Jas! It is nice to see you on the boards!
Happy New Year sweetie! I have a feeling 2012 is going to be a great year for all of us!! Just wish we were meeting up again in Disney, but maybe 2013??;)
Yes - Happy New Years and glad to see your back! :goodvibes
Thank you my dear friend:hug:
That's amazing how many animals you saw on safari and how close they came to the vehicle!

DH had to work new years eve so I thought it would just be nice to have the tree down and decorations put away!! :goodvibes

I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your new furniture!!

Debbie

All my good intentions of taking everything down yesterday didn't happen....just not ready to say good bye to the holidays yet.....I'm using Ukrainian Christmas as my excuse!

Looks like a fun day at AK and the Pool!!! Did you see that RFC is now included in the DDP!?! I haven't eaten there since last year and it was good but overpriced IMO compared to other dining locations!
It sure was! I didn't know that....I love how you keep me updated:hug:
Wow an update! I thought you must have been done. ;):rotfl2:

I could see how you would interpret it that way, but no, just slow:rotfl2:

It looks like everyone was having such a great time at Ak, and what awesome luck to have seen the animals so close.

I love the picture of Jasmine and Jeff before your safari left, it really shows just how much fun they were having, and how funny about Jeff adapting Jambo as his own personal saying.

The RFC is one of our favorites, and your meal looks delicious. It's always also a nice break from the heat at AK.

Can't wait to hear more:goodvibes

It was a great end to our day there! Those two are beyond funny....I told Jeff last night how I posted his Dinosaur picture and he gave me the look....I then told him he's very popular on the boards and that made him happy that he was keeping everyone entertained!

I think I have been guilty of mostly lurking on your report. Just wanted to come out of lurkdom to say happy new year and thank you for sharing your trip with us. I'm having a great time following along. I'm getting a kick out of all of it but mostly Jeff's reactions to things.
I am so happy you posted! I am so happy you're enjoying it! We still laugh at Jeff:rotfl2: My two nieces were reminiscing last night about all the crazy things he did on our trip and they can't wait for 2013 to do it all over again!
:rotfl:
Anyone who knows me well will tell you I have a very sick sense of humour:rolleyes1 Did it without cracking a smile!! I would have loved to see your pic!
Thanks again for sharing. Hope you've been enjoying your new furniture at home and you all had a happy holiday!! :goodvibes
Your welcome...thanks for reading...and promise me you'll pop in every now and then to say hi
Great update, Queen (and good to have you back). Love how many animals you got to see and how excited Jeff was with the safari. The redneck photo of Dinosaur is a hoot and I'd be holding that over his head for awhile. ;)
Thanks Hon! I bring it up every chance I get...believe me!!
Coming out of lurkdom to say great update! I loved Jeff's reaction on Dinosaur -- priceless! :rotfl2:

I completely agree with you on the giraffes. I could watch them for hours!
So happy you popped on! Priceless is the best description....everytime I think of him on that ride it makes me burst out laughing!!

I could too, they are magnificent creatures!
:teeth:
You are so right, I should have taken a video!! Next time!! I think you're right...it's you guys;)
You are going to love FOTLK!If we had commentary, that is exactly how it would have sounded!!:woohoo:
Mmmmm... RFC looks so good after all these years. More reason to go to one of the nicer ones in WDW :cloud9: And pool time again! You guys really get a lot out of those pools! I mean, AKL does have the best, but still you guys look like you have a lot of fun. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum
We are all about our pool afternoons....unless it's raining we're usually at the pool in the afternoon! We love love love it!
wow, the animals did get really close to you on the safari! One time when I was on it a rhino almost backed up into the side of our vehicle, it was pretty scary. haha that pic of Jeff on Dinosaur is great, thats how I usually look! How was your meal at RFC? When I went to the DTD location, the food was just so-so.
Such a fun time! I have to say the meal was just ok there....I probably wouldn't rush back again unless we were staying for the day at AK and we needed an hour or so out of the heat....but didn't love it!
Happy New Year to you and Jasmine!!! Did your furniture arrive?? If so we need pics please :) Looks like a fun day in AK!!!
Happy New Year Mary to all of you! Furniture pics will be up a little later on!
I am so enjoying Jeff on this trip and his Dinozaur pic was priceless. Shame on you for making up a little white lie about the ride. :rotfl2:
He really made the trip for us this time....so fun to have someone new and completely to open to anything...you gotta love that! I couldn't help myself....I'm evil;)
So glad you got a chance to update. What a lovely morning at AK. I really do love that park! I will wait patiently for your neck one.

I have grown more and more fond of it every visit!

YAY an update, Ive missed you!! :goodvibes

Your safari pictures are awesome, I have never seen the animals that up close, maybe the giraffes once, but all those animals right next to your ride vehicle, how cool!!

O M G the picture of you guys on Dinosaur can only be described as :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

That just made my day!!

I've missed you too!

Best safari yet....had a ball!

I am so happy you enjoyed it....wait until the IOA update and what Jeff did that day:rolleyes1

Joining in late. I am loving your report (thanks for the links). The pool at Jambo looks wonderful, we need to get a trip in there soon. We are actually staying at SSR, which you like better? I would love to hear why.

Sorry to about the passing of your mother... I am sure it made the holidays tough at times.

Better late than never;) Thank you and you're welcome....I just learned how to do them this year!

I actually prefer SSR believe it or not! I love how bright and cheerful the rooms are, we were in The Grandstand so the pool was around one corner and the bus stop the other! I loved how we were first pick up and first drop off at our location! I found it quiet and the balcony's were peaceful! I found a lot of guests that weren't guests of AKL would use the pool everyday so could become very crowded.

Thank you for your kind words....December was tough to get thru that's for sure but we tried to stay upbeat for the girls and I think we did pretty good! Thank you again:hug:

popcorn::Yippe! Yippee! Yippee! An update!popcorn::
Hey chicky...have been thinking of you and hope all is well!
:cool1: woo hoo for an update!

I love your pictures of the safari! I guess the animals like the hot August day!
I'm so happy you're happy, makes me want to get another one up right away! I'm trying to remember about what time it was .... I know for sure it wasn't first thing in the morning but maybe around 1030am:confused3
Nice to see you back! Loved the safari update.
:)
Thank you so much! It feels good to be back and chat with everyone!
Love the update :)

Your Safari pics are amazing! Loved hearing about jeff's reaction to the safari. Also cute story about how he kept saying "Jambo Everyone" to everyone. The little things really do make the best trip stories.
Thanks hon! You are so right...it's those little things I like to write down because they are the first things you forget!
jeff's reaction to dinosaur was hillarious as well! I would react the same way but then again i'm not a teenage boy so this doesn't mean much.
I told him he needs to put it as his profile pic on FB....he didn't find that amusing....:rolleyes1
The pool pictures look great! Oh how i miss the warm weather! I'm super excited because I will be in Disney in 6 DAYS!!!! Halleluah to non-chicago/ midwest weather :)
Lucky you...have the best time! Let me know if you start a TR when you return!

Great update, but even if you had posted a couple of smilies, I would have been happy!

It's okay to go slowly with the trip report, you have until 2013, right??? (But I do hope you run into some money to make it in 2012 (maybe in the summer at the same time as us...:rolleyes1)
Thanks Debby! Yes 2013...but Jasmine and I have tickets to the Jet's game on January 21 and the 50/50 draws have been averaging about $45000 so if we win not only will we be there when you are, we'll be buying DVC when we're there....wishful thinking but hey, ya gotta dream:cloud9:
When Emma was 6 on our first trip, she wasn't worried about Dinosaur. I told her it was loud and scary...no worries from her. Then, in the preshow, the guy said, hopefully we can bring you back... And Emma got really nervous. "Mommy, are we going back in time?" I assured her that not for real. (But then I probably joked with her...:sad2: bad mom.)
Jasmine often tells me that I've scarred her for life....I tell her that's what my share options are for at work,....therapy for her:lmao:
We haven't eaten at RFC yet. Maybe this trip since we won't be on the dining plan. (I can't spend $100 a day for two ten-year olds who eat more snacks than food...)

I don't know that we'll do the DDP again, I much preferred the TIW and the choice to just have an appetizer if we wanted!!

We've been having Manitoba weather today. Not used to the -30 windchill. And to think I picked today to go downhill skiing. We didn't last long.

I would be the LAST one to scold you for taking some time out from FB or the boards.

It is amazing how close some of the animals get on the safari. They seem to be getting closer and closer each time I go.

Remind me NOT to ask you advice about what a ride is like. A documentary indeed. I bet you describe a mammogram as a gentle pressing.

Happy New Year!

Nice to see you back. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Thank you and the same to you!
The safari pics look great. WoW! We've never seen the animals that close before. We also like the FOTLK show.
It was awesome and I never tire of that show....I could sit and watch every performance!
Dinosaur pic is too funny! We've never rode Dinosaur before. That's on our list for next trip.
Oh I can't wait to hear what the girls think!
Happy New Year Queen! I've been away from the boards myself so was happy to see an update on my return! :yay:
Happy New Year to you too!
Love the safari pics and am glad you all enjoyed the trek!
We sure did and thanks!
Lol that pic of Dinosaur cracks me up every time I see it! :rotfl2:
If you ever need something to brighten up your day....you have that!!
Mmm that appetizer plate looks really yummy.
It looked better than it was....it was just ok, but when you're hungry, you'll eat anything!

Thank you for the trip report. Its so nice to take a virtual vacation on such a cold and snowy day.
Glad I could help you with that:woohoo:
Same to you! :)

Thanks!

Last fall I was at the Walmart at Unicity looking for something. Couldn't find it so checked a couple of other places. Popped into Winners and remembered, "Hey, maybe this is the one." Didn't spot her. But I would've said hi. :wave2:

She's at the one on Empress! If you're ever in the area, you have to go in and say hi! Actually, we really need to go for breakfast again!!

I put mine up at the beginning of December... but I can't make myself take it down quite yet. Probably mid to late January, I'm guessing.

Mine will be up now until at least Sunday, just couldn't do it yesterday!

Ummm... did you see that boy's muscles in the last picture? Queen, I'm afraid you might want to pick on somebody a little less six-packish.

I told him he may be bigger but I'll always be meaner...he agreed far too quickly to it too:confused:

Warm? In Florida? In August? You don't say!
I know.....shocking but true!

And modest, too!

Jeff hasn't quite got the "thank you" for a compliment, it's always "I know"....I'm still working on that!

I would've been bitterly disapointed in you if you had done otherwise. :rotfl:

I would never let you down!

Okay, nevermind the muscles comment. You could take him!

...with my eyes closed and my hands tied behind my back.....

Can't wait! Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

It's been WAAAAAAY too long since I've been on here. I beg your forgiveness. My only excuse is with Thanksgiving, then the cruise, then Christmas, and the new job... well, life has been just a bit busy. But that's no excuse for me neglecting my friends, especially when they're as wonderful as y'all!!!!

Oh, before I start reading, just to prove you have been in my thoughts, I'll share a picture I took while in Honduras and thinking of you:

Hi Queen!! Between you, Hypermommy and myself, we are doing pretty good. lol at least we make time for this once in awhile.

Or at least try, right? ;-) Glad to see I'm not the only one who's stupid busy these days.

Love Jeff's bit about takin credit for the animals on the safari being so close. You know who that sounds like, right?

Okay, I'll try to be better about getting on more often, but no promises. And where are those furniture pictures? LOL

My boyfriend.....
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1025.jpg
Mike....isn't he just the cutest
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1026.jpg
Jasmine bought me this a few trips ago and it's one of my favorites...it's quite heavy but absolutely beautiful!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1027.jpg
Now the story behind this ornament....Jasmine was absolutely terrified of Cruella when she was little and at that time we had a sectional with huge pillows on it. She would sit in the middle and hide behind two of the pillows watching 101 Dalmations....:rotfl2:I would often say "Why do you want to watch it if she scares you so much and her reply would be Because I yike it Mommy...cracks me up to this day
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1029.jpg
My baby girls 7th christmas picture....oh how time flies!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1031.jpg
Now most of you know that we live in the Great White North...well this year the White part of it has been scarce....when it actually snowed I thought I better take a pic! This is our back yard....
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1032.jpg
....and this one is looking across the street!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1034.jpg
Ok...another trip down recent memory lane....remember when I ordered the Hey's luggage for this trip and it never arrived so I cancelled the order. Look at what my darling daughter bought as one of my gifts.....It's the large suitcase by Hey's ... the Disney Princess Collection....as you can see she gave it to me early as it's still the old furniture in the background! I love it and can't wait to use it!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1048.jpg
Now onto Christmas....we spent Christmas Eve at my BFF's as this is going to be one of our new traditions. Both Brenda and I have lost our mom's, Brenda's sister lives in Edmonton so we decided every Christmas we are going to spend a day together....just the two families. Here's a shot of the girls under the tree! Kayla is holding her one of her gifts from us...Dumbledore's wand that we picked up for her in IOA...she is a HP fanatic so loved this!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1056.jpg
Brenda Jasmine (with Abby on her lap...isn't she just the cutest and such a great dog) and Kayla....Eric was busy setting up their new TV in the basement and I guess we never took anymore pics once these were done
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1071.jpg
The best gift Jasmine and I got this year....tickets to see our beloved Winnipeg Jets! We never miss a game on TV but with the MTS Centre sold out for every game we knew TV was the only way we would see them...until Geodoc and Peg gave us their tickets for a game! See the day of this particular game, they will be on their way to The Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos with the girls for a week! Loved that they gave the tix to us and we can't wait to go.....we will definitely be posting pictures after!!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1075.jpg
The girls dancing to MM's new dance thingy for the WII...I was cracking up...they had an absolute ball....SW wanted nothing to do with the dancing...I guess that what going on 12 is!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1077.jpg
MM working on her quilt that she got for Christmas and SW on her Ipod Touch!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/967.jpg
Sometimes Photobucket makes me crazy...this picture should have been first considering it was from our birthday's in October. We went to The Keg for Jasmine, Eric's (my bff's hubby) and my birthday....great evening with old friends!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/1094.jpg
The furniture!!! Still haven't figured out what I am doing with the wall where the tree is but I do have a picture for it, just not sure what else to do......:rolleyes1

I absolutely love it and am completely happy that Jasmine convinced me it was the right choices! I can make decisions at work in a heartbeat, but when I have to live with the choice for at least 10 years, makes me a little nervous! I hope you enjoyed this real life update....next up will be another fun filled day at Disney!

What an amazing gift that suitcase is, I had no idea that Hey's has a disney collection but what an awesome surprise it must have been after having to cancel your previous order.

How exciting that you guys are going to get to see a Jet's game, i'm sure you will have an awesome time.

The furniture looks great, and I love the two wall plaques you have on the back wall with the sayings about Paris and such..they look amazing with the new furniture.

I bought those at Home Sense...and I love them....two of my dream destinations! Have been to Paris but not New York...the print for the other wall is the canals in Venice Italy. I've been there too so the only place I have to get to now is New York!! Trip of a lifetime!
Can't wait for your next update :goodvibes

p.s. also.... Canadian Tire has really nice dark brown leather parsons chairs on sale this week for $48.00. I bought one to put at my front door. They are really nice quality. Maybe something like that would be nice in that corner when you take your tree down and the dark brown leather will match the rest of the furniture!! Check them out anyway!!

Great update Queen!! Too funny your picture with the Jets tickets! That is how we felt when we found out our beloved team was returning to Winnipeg!! We were lucky enough to split 2 seats with 3 other couples so fortunately we have tickets to 11 games - however after the kids each got their hands on a couple, and good friends begged for a game, we were not left with as many as we would like. But the alternative of not being able to attend any would have devastated us!! :scared1:

Funny thing about DISSING with someone from your own city (not alot of us around here in Winnipeg). Jasmine's friend Kayla taught at my daughter's dance studio for years. My girls both quit dance last year so I don't get to see her smiling face anymore but she certainly was a bright spot in the studio!! Miss seeing her.

Looking like we are heading to Florida in March so your TR will need to keep me Disnified until then. (if that is even such a word) :confused3

Great suitcase! I saw an awesome Heys suitcase at TJMaxx. It was navy with Mickey heads in blue, orange, and white. If they had yours, (and I was buying) I would have had a hard time deciding! :rotfl:

Hi Queen! I've been off the boards for a while, but I just caught up with your whole TR today! Guess it's good I'm not that busy at work right now.
I have been enjoying reading it.
Jasmine & Jeff are such a cute couple. That was so nice of you to take him on his 1st trip to WDW!

I sooo almost bought that suitcase. I think I would have if I had been with my daughter but as it was I with my DS(9) and he was not letting me have any part of it. I believe his words were...

"No way you're putting my clothes or making me carry that around it public".

Like I was going to share it anyhow.

But now that I'm thinking about. What a fitting punishment it would be. I could buy the carry on and then I could threaten him with replacing his school backpack with it. Can you imagine the horror he would go through? Maybe I should just order one right now.

Hi Queen!
Excellent TR, just read through all 45 pages! It was a great distraction from tonight's game! I know it's the Bruins, but it started so promising!!:confused3

Loved all your pictures! Especially the ones of AK! We had to miss that park due to torrential downpours during our March trip. We have plans to go back August 2013 as well. I already had to start my ticker! We only went for 7 days during spring break and WDW feels so unfinished to us...we have to go back but 14 days will be the way to go!

A few funny coincidences as I was reading...

-Another Winnipegger here with upgrade pixie dust! We book the CR with the MK view and were luckily upgraded to a MK view club level suite! We couldn't believe it! Being our first WDW trip...we're spoiled now! :thumbsup2

-As I was reading your TR, DS peered over my shoulder and was reading along....turns out he goes to school with your niece!

-My brother also gave DS tickets to the same Jets game you received. Unfortunately I won't be going yet...it would mean more to DH to see a Jets game. I can only hope to win the lottery draw to buy tickets or win from the draws at work.

Where did you go to cash in your gold? That's something I've thinking of doing...but not sure of really sure where somewhere reputable would be? (I also don't know if some of my pieces are just gold plated....I would be so embarrassed for the guy to look up at me and say...uh your stuff is no good here!!!)

Can't wait to continue reading!

2 for $59...please tell me you bought some!!!!Nah... quite frankly we didn't buy any liquor. Drank quite a bit, mind you, but didn't buy any to bring home. Next time, however....... I'll let you know when we're going so you can get your order in. :thumbsup2

Furniture pics are loaded and will be up as soon as I finish replying to all my pals! Congrats too...I know I said it on FB, but I am so proud of you, you can't even imagine! The fact that you lost what 130 pounds this year (is that number correct, I think close) you are an inspiration to me! I was thinking of you this morning as I was hauling my butt around the track but I am back to it and plan on succeeding this year come %^&& of high water!!Thanks!!!! Yes, it's 130. I still have 10 that I want to lose. I know my sister's gonna freak out. She thinks I'm becoming anorexic or something -- which is kind of funny considering how much I LOVE to eat, there's just no way that'll ever happen. But that's just something she'll have to deal with.

And you know you can do it! I know you can do it!!! You? Puhleeze.. you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to. Hey... how about this.... let's consider doing the marathon together in 2013. We could do the Wine and Dine! I'm considering doing the half Wine & Dine this fall. Not quite sure I can get through it but have almost talked King Charming into having the family at the finish line and then enjoying the rest of the evening in Epcot. That could be so much fun! But we should consider the 2013.... think of what a motivational boost it would give you -- you'd be running to see Mickey!

Here is the long awaited furniture picture update:rotfl2: And since I made you wait so long I thought I would throw in a couple of other pictures too! Woot woot!!!!!!!!! Love the ornaments! And the pic of young Jas!!! All of the pictures were wonderful and the furniture looks fantastic!!!!!!

But now that I'm thinking about. What a fitting punishment it would be. I could buy the carry on and then I could threaten him with replacing his school backpack with it. Can you imagine the horror he would go through? Maybe I should just order one right now.Oh I do love the way you think!!! Sounds reasonable to me! Punishment isn't supposed to be something that the child is okay with, right?

Okay... off I go to the gym. Hoping to actually make it on time today. We'll see...... :surfweb:

Snow White! He's a year younger but apparently they were in the before and after school program together in elementary school. The both of them were often the last two standing in the Connect 4 tournaments!
...it's a small world after all!
(sorry couldn't resist!...gosh, I hope DS has got it right!)

WE have gone 4 times in August and never had to really worry about a hurricane. This past August was the closest call we had but in the end, we didn't need to worry aobut it at all.

It is hot and humid but you will get that in many months in Florida. Overall we love going at that time of the year.

I love that you almost bought it....clearly you and Jasmine have excellent taste:goodvibes

As I was reading your post all I could think is "Hypermommy is gonna have a hayday with this post" you know how it annoys her when we torture our children:lmao::rotfl2::worship:

Hi Queen!
Excellent TR, just read through all 45 pages! It was a great distraction from tonight's game! I know it's the Bruins, but it started so promising!!:confused3
It was promising wasn't it....and then not so much:confused3
Loved all your pictures! Especially the ones of AK! We had to miss that park due to torrential downpours during our March trip. We have plans to go back August 2013 as well. I already had to start my ticker! We only went for 7 days during spring break and WDW feels so unfinished to us...we have to go back but 14 days will be the way to go!
Thanks! You are gonna love being there for 14 days....for us, it's the only way to go! You get everything in you want to do and still enough time to relax and truly enjoy your holiday!
A few funny coincidences as I was reading...

-Another Winnipegger here with upgrade pixie dust! We book the CR with the MK view and were luckily upgraded to a MK view club level suite! We couldn't believe it! Being our first WDW trip...we're spoiled now! :thumbsup2
How lucky were you...you got the whole bag of pixie dust and then some:lmao: That is amazing...so happy you got that on your first trip!
-As I was reading your TR, DS peered over my shoulder and was reading along....turns out he goes to school with your niece!
That is too funny!
-My brother also gave DS tickets to the same Jets game you received. Unfortunately I won't be going yet...it would mean more to DH to see a Jets game. I can only hope to win the lottery draw to buy tickets or win from the draws at work.
I've already told Jasmine that we're each buying $20 worth of 50/50 tickets at the game and if we win, we're off to the World!!!
Where did you go to cash in your gold? That's something I've thinking of doing...but not sure of really sure where somewhere reputable would be? (I also don't know if some of my pieces are just gold plated....I would be so embarrassed for the guy to look up at me and say...uh your stuff is no good here!!!)
I went to Gatewest Coin on Corydon...it's right across from the RBC at Lanark. They are fantastic there, I have sent every one of my friends and they were all so pleased! They have Better Business Burea plaques up everywhere so that sold me too plus word of mouth from people in the area!
Can't wait to continue reading!

Nah... quite frankly we didn't buy any liquor. Drank quite a bit, mind you, but didn't buy any to bring home. Next time, however....... I'll let you know when we're going so you can get your order in. :thumbsup2
Ok baby, you got it!
Thanks!!!!
You are my inspiration...I am so proud of you! I know the commitment it takes to be that disciplined which right now I am not, so good on you!

I would cheer you on girl, but I hate running....hate it....dispise it....can you tell I don't like running!
Woot woot!!!!!!!!! Love the ornaments! And the pic of young Jas!!! All of the pictures were wonderful and the furniture looks fantastic!!!!!!
Thanks!
Oh I do love the way you think!!! Sounds reasonable to me! Punishment isn't supposed to be something that the child is okay with, right?
Knew you wouldn't let that one go.....:lmao:
Okay... off I go to the gym. Hoping to actually make it on time today. We'll see...... :surfweb:
I'm back to the gym 4 times a week....even the days I don't want to go, I make myself because I know how great I feel afterwards!
Snow White! He's a year younger but apparently they were in the before and after school program together in elementary school. The both of them were often the last two standing in the Connect 4 tournaments!
...it's a small world after all!
(sorry couldn't resist!...gosh, I hope DS has got it right!)
That's so funny! Small world.
In thinking about an August trip...I was kind of worried about the heat and humidity...but it looks like you all handled it well!
DH is also worried about hurricanes at that time...I hope your TR won't back his case!
It is hot and humid but if you take breaks and drink alot, it's fine! I will save you the suspense and let you know now that Irene didn't affect our vacation one bit! In 2006 Ernesto hit while Jasmine and I were there but we only had to stay in our room one day!
I just recently found your trip reports, and am loving them. Cant wait to hear more about your trip.

So happy you found the TR's and I'm even happier that you're going to stick around to see how this one ends:lmao:

Let's see, my computer crashed and work has been overwhelmingly busy so I have not had a chance to stop in. :sad2: But..........I am here now and I have a new computer and even a kindle (not sure if the Dis will work on there or not yet) but either way, I'm all set to get caught up! :happytv:

Thanks Queen - let me know about the breakfast as hopefully this time it works. I am heading to Hawaii with my 2 girls and aunt mid February for a girls only trip so depending on the date it may work. Funny that Jasmine wanted Kane's shirt - my youngest Cassie is obsessed with Kane and she bought a blank jersey and had Kane and 9 put on the back plus she got a Kane tshirt for Christmas. My older daughter is hooked on Bogosian. It is nice that Jasmine and Kayla are so close - those life friendships are priceless!

OMG, I feel like I'm so far behind!!!

Okay, first off that luggage is the absolutely most beautiful, awesomest (yes it's a word), luggage I've ever seen before.

Don't worry too much about having to take a DIS break. That's the thing about technology. I think sometimes we can get so sucked in by it that we forget about some other things. You're here now and we'll take what we can get.

Hmm, last two weeks in August in 2013? You know, I've never been in August before....;)

This is my first time on in awhile, always seems to be something keeping me away. I love all the pics, your furniture is amazing and is making me think its time to get new stuff. Especially when I keep reading about the 10 yr reference...lol mine is older than that!! The pic on Dinosaur was too funny. Always good to have some ammunition, you should post that on his facebook if he has one. Love the pics of all the girls, so pretty!!!

Love the new furniture and your christmas decorations! I loved seeing your favortie ornaments because they reminded me of some ornaments that we have in my house :)

I actually thought of you guys the other day because we were eating in the mexico counter service place by the lagoon and there were a ton of birds flying all over the place and it made me think of your story about Jeff and the birds.

Ugh I am behind school and work tend to take away from my DIS time :sad2:

I love the Mike ornament! I think we will have to look for one of those when we are there next month!

I love your new luggage!

Love the new furniture!

I am glad you all had such a wonderful holiday

I hear ya girl...not with school but work is all consuming it seems lately!

That Mike ornament came in one of those "storybook" ornament collections and I bought it at the Christmas store in DTD....it came with 2 Boo's, Randall, Roz, Sully and a few others...I couldn't resist!

I knew you would love it...after all, it has our favorite princess on it!

Thanks so much honey, it really was a great holiday season, different without our mom, but still great! We are firm believers in "celebrating life" and reliving past memories and that's what we did....and we all know she was with us!

Carla!!! So great to see you again my friend:hug: I am going to be off work for three weeks starting Wednesday and have every intention of getting caught up on my Dis-ing!

Hey Sugar!!!

Jasmine should have her schedule by the end of the week so as soon as I know I'll send you a PM! Hawaii....so excited for you!!! We have never been.

My Jasmine loves him too....as soon as they get more shirts in I'm sure she'll get one! She tried the jersey but couldn't bring herself to spend $200 on it....can't say I blame her! Bogosian is a cutie isn't he?

Yes, those kinds of friendships are the ones you never let go off!

You....I can't remember the last time I was over on your TR....but I promise over the next 3 weeks I will be completely caught up!

Awesomest is the best word to describe the luggage I just love it:lovestruc

I found it was taking up all my free time and I just knew that was wrong....my evenings were gone before I realized it so knew I had to walk away and now I'm trying to be on only a couple of times a week!

Where do the days and weeks go....I always seem to be playing catch up and now I've caught a devil of a cold .... basically feeling all kinds of gross! The real bummer of that is Jasmine and I have our first Jet's game of the season tonight and I wish I felt a little better! Oh well, gonna suck it up and have a blast anyways...it's probably the only one we'll be at this year!

Back to the TR....which finds just the kids and I heading to DTD for the evening a little shopping...you all know how I love my shopping at the World!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/398-4.jpg
Arriving at the best shopping facility on Earth IMO!:lmao:
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/399-4.jpg
We decided we would eat before the restaurants got too crazy and we were torn between EOS and WPE .... this is what we finally decided on!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/400-4.jpg
Jasmine and Jeff both got this...and I have to say the portions were much smaller than last year. Last summer, Jasmine and I splite the chicken caesar salad and we couldn't finish it, this year I was still hungry when I was finished:confused3
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/401-2.jpg
My salad....still yummy and it did leave room for a visit to......
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/402-2.jpg
The best ice cream place ever! Jasmine and I split the Strike it Rich Sundae...Jeff....ate.....nothing!!! His willpower amazes me! It was a beautiful evening to sit outside and have our ice cream! We were in no hurray to get back to the hotel so we did DTD at a leisurely pace!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/403-3.jpg
After our ice cream and dinner we headed straight to the World of Disney store where Jeff found this....
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/404-3.jpg
He was repeatedly saying "To Infinity and Beyond" .... he didn't end up buying it and when we were waiting for out connecting flight in Chicago a guy went by with it on and Jeff turned to Jasmine and said "see, I should have bought it" to which she replied "did I say not to you were the one that said your friends would make fun of you":rotfl2:

This would have been so much better if he had bought the jacket:woohoo:
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/406-3.jpg
For those of you who have followed our past TR's you know that I have taken a picture of Jasmine here every year since she was 6...guess this will be the new tradition! I love this picture!

Jeff played with this every time we walked thru the gift shop, which was everyday...he thought it was cool and was trying to do his best impression of being tough:rolleyes1

Headed back up to our room and was greeted by another wonderful package from our dear friends in Michigan Dawn and Caitlin (Dawnbu40 and Princesscaitlin). Included in our package was coffee (which was soooooo good), chocolate sauce (Jasmine polished that off in no time) loose tea, a mug from Michigan...so thoughtful of them and we loved everything! I loved the fact that everything in the package was from Michigan! Thanks again ladies.... Dawn was kind enough to send it to the hotel because it was quite heavy and she didn't want us to have to carry it around the morning we were to have our Dis-meet!

It's too bad WPE is cutting their portion sizes. That pasta does look good though!

Jeff is too cute in that hoodie! We were tempted by those too but Caitlin ended up buying the Mickey one.

We were glad you enjoyed the goodies from the Mitten. That hot fudge sauce is our guilty pleasure. Sanders has little ice cream shops and they serve that over a cream puff stuffed with vanilla ice cream. It is to die for! :)

Bronchitis is just the worst...I feel for you Dawn, been there done that! We did enjoy our game although I got the chills while we were there but stayed til the end nonetheless:thumbsup2

Jas has that pasta all the time, it's her go to dish whenever we visit WPE! We still laugh about that hoodie and how he should have bought it!

That hot fudge ended up on top of the whipped cream on every hot chocolate Jasmine had this winter, and ice cream!!! It was beyond deliciious, I would have to say the best I've ever had!:worship:

Great update! I love shopping at DTD!

We had the same dilemma last trip, but EoS won for my family. I'd still like to try WPE!

Me too....I dream about shopping at DTD, I like to scope it out on arrival day either before or after dinner at Raglan Road! It makes me mad when people who don't "get" Disney ask, "What could you need from there, you've been so many times" :headache:They miss so much not believing in the magic:woohoo:

We have found that the best time to go to DTD is on an evening when it's raining....there is no one there, or at least that has been our experience! First thing in the morning is wonderful too, we go early enough to have breakfast at WPE then hit the stores at a leisurely pace!

That salad is probably one of the best, although I do want to try the chinois salad the next time! It's supposed to be devine!

Such a great game...Geodoc, Peg and the girls left yesterday for Turks and Caicos so I was texting him from the game thanking him profusely for the tickets!

I have heard the trick to getting tickets is to be at the box office the day before a game at around 11am as that's when the tickets the players don't use go up for sale....that's what I've heard so it might be worth a shot?

No! You? Shopping? I don't believe it.

I have a crappy cold too. I felt horrible and dizzy a couple days ago, sore throat yesterday, and today my nose is SO stuffed. Feel better girls!

So excited to see an update.

That is an adorable picture of Jasmine & Jeff by the Happy Holiday sign. :goodvibes

What's up with the shrinking portions. I have that. :headache:

Fun update.

That sundae looks so darn yummy!
I think I have exactly the same thing as you Mary Ellen....yuck! I love that picture too...we had such a great evening there!! I hate the shrinking portions too....I still think WPE is a great value but not as good as before:confused3

Boo to the loss! But wow what a great game to be at! I could feel my blood pressure rising during OT and then the shoot out! I can't wait to hear what it was like being there! I hope you had a great time!

We couldn't have asked to be at a better game....during the shootout Jasmine kept grabbing my leg and stating she couldn't take the pressure anymore :rotfl: We went down early and had dinner at Tavern United then walked across at 430pm when the doors opened. I wanted to take in every second of being there! The seats were amazing ....2 out of the 3 periods we had the Panthers goal in front of us so we saw alot of action considering we out shot them 2 to 1:cool1: Then came overtime...what a nailbiter...then the shootout! around us we had a young girl and her dad were to Jasmine's left and I had a couple to my right who were so nice! Behind us were some other couples a little older than me I would say (in their 50's). When it came time for the shootout of course everyone in front of us stood up which we did too...it's a shootout for crying out loud, get outta your seats!! This lady behind the lady beside me got mad at her for standing....I just turned to the lady beside me and said If she wanted to sit thru the whole game she should have stayed home on her couch! Way too exciting to sit!! Had a blast and hopefully we'll get to another game in the future!

WPE is my favorite at Downtown Disney. But, I've never tried Earl of Sandwich. Earl is on our list for our next trip.

WPE is my favorite too...but I think Jeff would have loved EOS....he loves a good sandwich! I told him we would go for sure our next trip!

Sorry you have a cold... I hope you feel better!

I love WPE! My favorite was the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla, but they don't have it anymore :( The pasta and salad look delicious though!

My son would looooove that Buzz Lightyear jacket! How cool is that?! Did they have it kid sizes?

Such a cute picture of Jasmine and Jeff in front of the Happy Holidays sign! :goodvibes

Sounds like the crowd around you was a lot different than the crowd around us in Montreal (of course we were a bit higher up) Declan got to learn some new French words they don't teach in the French Immersion classes. :rotfl::rotfl:

Yay DTD!!!!!! I didn't spend a ton of time there this trip but i am excited because i did get 2 spend more time than usual there. I actually saw a ton of people in those buzz sweatshirts when I was there, and funnily enough most of them were young men. I never saw them in the shops though.

Looks like you guys had a ton of fun in DTD :)

Btw, before I left you asked me to let you know when I started my TR so I though I would post the link here: Good Morning! No Sleeping! A Mother/Daughter January Getaway (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2864179)

Do you know if they had any Woody hoodies, like that Buzz one? I love the Buzz hoodie, but it would be really cute to have one of my boys in Woody and the other in Buzz.

I love shopping at Downtown Disney, too. It's not like they have the same exact stuff every time, so it really never gets old.

I kinda thought we would agree on that:lmao: EOS is really good for breakfast too, or at least it was the last time we tried it for breakfast which was 2005:rolleyes1

Jeff is funny and he really is such a welcome addition to our family. Last night while we were at the game he texted Jas and said "As long as your enjoying yourself babe, I'm at home studying to build a future for us" we cracked up...that his latest saying! I've tried 3 times today to get this update to post and if it doesn't work this time I give up! Very frustrating! First, I wanted to give you all an update on Geodoc, Peg and the girl's trip to Turks and Caicos. Apparently they are having a ball and they have seen very little of SW as she is thoroughly loving the kids club....MM not so much....I think she might be the oldest in her group so it's a little boring so she's been hanging with her mom and dad! There last full day is tomorrow and they will be home on Saturday and we can't wait to see them!

Now on to this TR and the latest update! This day brings us to MM's birthday...how lucky was she that she got to celebrate her birthday on her birthday at her favorite place on earth. She got to plan the entire day, which park we went to, what rides we went on and where we would have her birthday meal!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/409-3.jpg
Her favorite park is DHS so that's where we headed bright and early for rope drop .... then headed to.....
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/412-2.jpg
her favorite ride at this park...ToT! Here's Jeff posing like the statue....he's entertaining if nothing else!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/414-4.jpg
Now you all know how much MM admires and looks up to Jasmine. Well on this day she wanted her hair just like Jasmine's and she didn't need any help (I asked cause I'm a little OCD about hair) and this was the final product.....too cute for words!
Waiting in the library....love this part! I usually torment the children in here but they all moved away from me....hmmm, guess they've caught on!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/415-3.jpg
Since there was no wait when we got off we decided we would ride again. MM was staking out her territory again....she was sitting beside Jasmine and Jeff was sitting on the other side of me. According to MM, he screamed like a little girl and it was embarrassing for her:rolleyes1
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/416-2.jpg
Love the theming in here.....
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/418-3.jpg
MM made mention that the ghosts housekeeping skills had not improved since our visit here

Waiting in the library again......
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/420-2.jpg
After two fabulous rides we ventured over to RNRC
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/423-2.jpg
The crowds were super manageable on this day and I find it makes for such a relaxing time....
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/424-2.jpg
We stopped in the shop to look for glow in the dark drumsticks for MM for Rock Band, but they had none....bummer!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/425-1.jpg
Gotta love the hat....we were on our way to the GMR when we had to stop and greet some very special characters
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/426-1.jpg
Everyone was in line but Peg and I so I decided to take a picture behind us....hey, I was bored!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/427-2.jpg
The fam in line....don't they look lively!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/428-2.jpg
This was one of MM's birthday presents! Isnt' it cute....Jasmine asked Peg if they had them in her size to which Jeff replied "I'm standing right here you know"....aww young love alive and well once again
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/429-2.jpg
SW and MM with Tigger and Eeyore

http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/432-1.jpg
Finally we made it to the GMR and Jeff told Jasmine to stop cause I would probably want a picture of them in front of it....yup, he's definitely a keeper
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/434-1.jpg
Love the queue, I love it when there's a line here because I really do love looking at everything including the movie clips!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/435-1.jpg
Fuzzy pic of the kids in line.....
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/437-3.jpg
Waiting to board
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/438.jpg
Entrance to the ride....I told Jeff it was a documentary about movies thru the years...he didn't believe me, can't imagine why? LOL
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/439-3.jpg
Happy kids....he was a little nervous here and it didn't help when Jasmine insisted he sit on the edge! She played right along.

Awww, that's so cool to celebrate your birthday AT DISNEY WORLD! I want to do that some day. Isn't it amazing how much you can get done when the crowds are that manageable? I am sooooooooo glad you understand how busy life can get because mine gets just outrageous sometimes!!!!

I'm back to the gym 4 times a week....even the days I don't want to go, I make myself because I know how great I feel afterwards!

Excellent!!!! Yeah, I know what you mean about not wanting to go. Actually I find myself enjoying running days so it's not that hard to get there. But weight lifting days are currently one of the banes of my existence. But I actually discovered a small feeling of abs under the remaining fat so that's encouraging.

I think you should rethink doing a marathon. We don't have to run it, you know. Walking works as long as you can stay under 15 min/mile (or is it 16... can't remember) so you don't get swept. Of course, I'm aiming at 12 min/mile for the Wine & Dine (which I've decided to do) because I'm going to want pics with the characters along the way.

I will admit that post was inspired by Hypermommy.

Y'all make me sound horrible! :rotfl2: I'm not mean to my kids.

Often.

Well, any more than they deserve.

(Depending on who you ask, of course)

Ahhhhhhhhh.... food porn!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Jeff found this....
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/404-3.jpg
He was repeatedly saying "To Infinity and Beyond" .... he didn't end up buying it and when we were waiting for out connecting flight in Chicago a guy went by with it on and Jeff turned to Jasmine and said "see, I should have bought it" to which she replied "did I say not to you were the one that said your friends would make fun of you":rotfl2:
If they have them on our next trip, I'm going to buy it for Jeff myself! I have subbed and will be over there as soon as I'm done here! Thanks for letting me know!

Love it!!!!! You know if you end up changing your mind and wanting to get it for him all you have to do is drop me a line. Or better yet, give me a call! :rotfl2:

I have taken a picture of Jasmine here every year since she was 6...guess this will be the new tradition! I love this picture!

Traditions are marvelous aren't they? And he's such a sweet boy I can definitely see this turning into a new tradition over the years. Just think, in 10 years it'll be pictures of your baby there holding your grandbabies.

(Jas is like 19 now, right? So 29 years old is okay to have babies, I'm guessing? Don't want to rush things... I'm a HUGE believer in waiting to have kids and sowing a few wild oats before you do)

Jeff is funny and he really is such a welcome addition to our family. Last night while we were at the game he texted Jas and said "As long as your enjoying yourself babe, I'm at home studying to build a future for us" we cracked up...that his latest saying! Cracks me up! The game was beyond great ... we had a blast!

I do so like that boy! Glad you had a great time at the game!!

First, I wanted to give you all an update on Geodoc, Peg and the girl's trip to Turks and Caicos.

Color me positively green with envy!

Now on to this TR and the latest update! This day brings us to MM's birthday...how lucky was she that she got to celebrate her birthday on her birthday at her favorite place on earth. She got to plan the entire day, which park we went to, what rides we went on and where we would have her birthday meal!

And did she have almost as much fun planning as she did going? Of course, she did. I know you and Peg are raising that little girl up right!

Now you all know how much MM admires and looks up to Jasmine. Well on this day she wanted her hair just like Jasmine's and she didn't need any help (I asked cause I'm a little OCD about hair) and this was the final product.....too cute for words!

How absolutely precious!!!

Waiting in the library....love this part! I usually torment the children in here but they all moved away from me....hmmm, guess they've caught on!

Ruh roh! Time for you to up the slickness. Can't have the children out-thinking you. Think of what it would do to your reputation.

This was one of MM's birthday presents! Isnt' it cute....Jasmine asked Peg if they had them in her size to which Jeff replied "I'm standing right here you know"....aww young love alive and well once again

Awwww... she's so cute in that shirt.

As for Jas... good for her! No matter how wonderful Jeff is, it's good that she keeps him on his toes! Exactly what the heir apparent to the Queenship should do! :thumbsup2

Finally we made it to the GMR and Jeff told Jasmine to stop cause I would probably want a picture of them in front of it....yup, he's definitely a keeper

Smart boy!!!!

Entrance to the ride....I told Jeff it was a documentary about movies thru the years...he didn't believe me, can't imagine why? LOL

.....

Happy kids....he was a little nervous here and it didn't help when Jasmine insisted he sit on the edge! She played right along.

Perfect! Just perfect!!!!

A yes. Just wasting away. Starving apparently. Good thing you were in the famine line so you could get some meat on them bones.

What? fam in line?

oh

nevermind.

If it's not one thing it's another, right? :rotfl2:

Great update!!!!! Can't wait to see more!!!!!

Of course, knowing my life you will have posted something and it'll be weeks before I get around to reading it. Ahhhhhhhh, I'm just so glad you understand. :hippie:

Ha, well you DID notice that I posted around 1 a.m., right? I was heading to bed earlier, but then someone bumped your TR up and once I saw it was at Jambo (just had my first stay there last week) I was hooked! I can't believe you got two weeks there - your trip looks like so much fun, with fun people, and I'll be waiting to hear more!

I completely understand how that happens...so many days I think I'll just sign on for a few minutes and next thing I know.....:rolleyes1 We really are blessed that Peg and Geodoc have enough DVC points for us to stay there for 2 weeks.....another update coming right up!

:woohoo: on reliving MM's birthday!!

Aaw love the pic of her hair being just like Jasmines :cutie:

:lmao: at Jeff embarassing MM on ToT!! I loved GMR - it sure was great!

Love the pics of everyone with the Winnie the Pooh characters as well.

It was such a great day! The thing I loved most about the picture with MM's hair was that she neglected to brush it before putting it a pony:rotfl2: We laugh often about Jeff's escapades on the trip ... that's for sure!
Ugh! I hate when that happens. Did you have to retype everything? Or were you able to hit the back button and try again?

That usually works for me....not these times....kept saying I had lost internet connection:headache:

That's great that they're having a good trip! :)

They arrived home close to midnight last night so we'll be heading over around noonish to welcome them home!

I can never manage that. Oh, I get there early and everything... it's the 'bright' part that I can't quite get a handle on.

:lmao:

Bright kids!

not really....:rotfl2:

:lmao: Ooh, the big strong man got scared by the amusement park ride. Awww...

Why it never dawned on me to take video so everyone could hear.....not sure:rolleyes1

A yes. Just wasting away. Starving apparently. Good thing you were in the famine line so you could get some meat on them bones.

oh

nevermind.

a comic genius you are!:thumbsup2

Got it all figured out already, eh?

apparently:laughing:

Really? He didn't believe you? How odd. What with you being such a trustworthy type and all... :rolleyes1

That's what I said:rolleyes1

Can't wait! :goodvibes

Wonderful update! I love that you give Jeff a hard time; he seems like a great kid. It's great that he plays along!

What fun for MM! So far, she is a perfect little tour planner! She is going to make a great Diser someday!

Left DHS for lunch...hmmmm not sure where she'd take you...

I sure do give him a hard time and it hasn't stopped since we got home...I would hate for him to let his guard down;)

She could plan an excellent vacation! At my mom's funeral, my friends Dave and Diane saw her sitting in a corner at the reception so they went over to chat with her. Dave told her they might be planning a Disney vacation to which Dave later told me they don't need me anymore...she had told them everything they needed to know! She is such a little doll.

She did very well picking our lunch spot .... coming up right away!
Can't believe I missed your updates since page 45!! :lmao:
Well I'm all caught up now!! :happytv:
I love Hollywood Studios too! Great place for MM to spend her birthday!!!

3 weeks off??? !!! Sounds like you have lots of vacation time!! I'll be back to work at my full time job in the next 2 weeks! :sad2:
Enjoy!!

Debbie

It's one of the kid's favorite parks...not my favorite anymore, this getting older thing has hampered my abilities to go on the rides over and over:confused:

I will be sending PM's out to everyone this next week...I believe Jasmine has her schedule now!

I am glad Purple Peg and her family are having a good vacation!

That is too funny that MM was embarrassed by Jeff

Adorable pics with Eeyore and Tigger!

Sounds like a great birthday so far can't wait to hear what's next!

They had a great time, can't wait to see them today and all their pictures! I thought she did an amazing job of planning all the details of her special day....wait til you see where we headed for lunch:worship:

I hate running, with a passion. I just don't get it but then again I really haven't given it a chance!

Hi Queen! Just got all caught up on your TR! Missed you! Good to see you and Jasmine are doing fine!

I can't believe I haven't been on here since Nov.

You may not know but I am a retail manager so those last months of the year are just a blur of long hours and go go go. (Jasmine can relate, I'm sure)

We were in Disney from Dec. 28 - Jan.6. Was well deserved.
Trip was bittersweet.
Got to see all the fabulous Christmas decorations, castle was breathtakingly beautiful and the weather was in the 70's except for a few unusually cold days.
A welcome change from the heat of August when we normally go.
The Candlelight Processional was lovely.
The bad part was I got very sick the evening of day 2.
Put a damper on NYE. I still went to my DIS meet on the POLY beach but I was so nauseous.
I missed some ADR's and didn't get to see everything I wanted.
My DMom came down with it right after me. Luckily she didn't get it as bad.
We made the most of it.

I have to thank you for inspiring me to book an ADR at Wolfgang Puck Cafe.
It was hands down the best meal of the trip!
I had the Almond Chicken and the Carrot Cake...oh my goodness! It was all you hyped it to be and I loved it!
From now on it is a must do for every trip...so Thanks! :thumbsup2

I had to smile when I saw the pic of your new furniture.
We bought the same fireplace unit. You have great taste!
Seems like we were on the same wave lengths last year.
We got a new sectional, tables, tv and dinette. (probably from the same place as you ;))
It's so nice to have new stuff isn't it?

Wow, that's a very awesome Belle suitcase! I've never seen that one.
Now you just need a trip to go with it! :goodvibes
I found a Heys Tinkerbell one that I just had to have. I got Lexi a Mickey & friends one too.

I'm jealous of your sister's trip to Turks & Caicos. I'm sure it was gorgeous.
Will we see a few pics?

Good to catch up this morning...your TR's are always a lot of fun. Jeff is hilarious.
Lexi enjoys seeing what Snow White & Minnie are up to.

If you have a Winner's close to you, check it out. The Belle one I have is the 30", then Cinderella was 26" and Aurora was the carry on....I am kicking myself too for not going back and getting the other two, but right before Jasmine went on her cruise last February she bought a new piece of luggage so we really didn't need more....but there is a difference between need and want isn't there;)

I promised to update the rest of MM's birthday yesterday but ended up spending the whole day at Peg's. I hate the first day back from vacation when you have so much laundry etc so I packed up everything to make a lasagne and headed over there. We spent a great day looking at there pictures and just enjoying each other's company! Everyone was so nice and tanned and we were white as ghosts! Time for a vacation for us!!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/448-3.jpg
This post finds us still on the GMR....with the gangster! I will never forget our first trip when Jasmine had just turned 6 and when this guy got into our vehicle she just about lost her mind! She didn't get the idea of actors and fake bullets...nope....screamed the rest of the ride! Don't even get me started about her reaction to the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz partLOL
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/450-4.jpg
As you can see again from this pic there was hardly anyone in TSM....
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/451-3.jpg
Love this drawing,...love this queue, I almost want a bit of a wait in here!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/455-4.jpgJeff insisted on a picture with the Green Army Man....he kept feeling Jeff's muscle's...it was quite funny! I was waiting for him to make him do push ups!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/459-2.jpg
From TSM we headed to the Backlot Tour which was a great idea on a very hot August day! We love the Earful Tower! Doesn't Jeff look tired!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/460-3.jpg
Costuming....for someone who can't even sew on a button, I love this place
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/462-4.jpg
The Plane the plane....sorry, couldn't resist!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/463-3.jpg
After our tour of the Backlot it was time to head for our lunchtime destination. To get there, we had to head for the boat outside DHS! It took us to the Yacht and Beach Club to have lunch at Beaches and Cream!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/464-3.jpg
The rest of the gang minus Jasmine and MM...they were checking out the hotel!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/465-3.jpgOnce seated I thought to take a picture of the menu....we were seated at two round tables which was perfect!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/466-2.jpg
Jeff and Jasmine eagerly awaiting their lunch!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/467-2.jpg
I love the theming in here....I know I keep saying that but I do! How cute are those lights!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/468-2.jpg
My lunch which was so good....the kids both had hamburger and fries but for some reason I have no picture....probably cause they had already started eating and once they did, there was no stopping for pictures
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/469.jpg
Then the thing MM had waited all summer for .....THE KITCHEN SINK! Her, SW, Geodoc and Jeff would share this. It contains peanuts stuff so I couldn't have any...they said they would get it without but I know how much they all love peanut sauce so I wasn't going to take that away from them.
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/470-2.jpg
The birthday girl....a very happy birthday girl!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/471-2.jpg
Peg and Jasmine ordered their favorite to share the No Way Jose...apparently they dream of this dessert
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/472-2.jpg
Jeff's bowl, proof that he actually had dessert once on our trip and boy did he do a good job. I lost count at how many times he filled it up!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/473-2.jpg
I ordered the Milky Way sundae....boy was it yummy, didn't look like I even put a dent in it but what I had I sure enjoyed!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/474-2.jpg
As we were leaving to catch the bus we wandered through the lobby and this was outside of Cape May....Jasmine thought it beautiful!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/476-2.jpg
Just enjoying the lobby!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/479-2.jpg
We wandered out to the buses and decided whichever one came first we would take and then transfer to an AKL bus....
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/480-2.jpg
The rest of the crew!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/481-2.jpg
The bus took us to AK and we thought we might go into the park for a bit but then the heaven's opened! While we were waiting for the bus there was the biggest clap of thunder I have ever heard....guess who screamed like a girl and jumped on Jasmine! I'm telling you, we had laughed at Jeff on this trip, but that moment took the cake, the girls still talked about it for months after we were home! People at our bus stop and others also joined in the laughter!
http://i590.photobucket.com/albums/ss349/Queenofallthings/482-2.jpg
Thank goodness for covered walkways into the Lodge...the only time I had seen rain like this while in Disney was in 2006 during Hurricane Ernesto! We then just headed into the gift shop to wander and then up to our rooms!

We transferred from a resort to AK to AKV before and had the same thing happen...the skies opened up. We were the only dry people. The people running out of the park were soaked. (I guess it was the same time of day...those afternoon showers are pretty dependable!)

That is so wonderful! I bet you couldn't believe your eyes when you saw them! I'm so happy for you....now look at us with matching luggage, now we just have to co-ordinate a trip!

You're so right....you can be sure of one thing in August in Florida....afternoon rain showers! You would have laughed your head off....it was so funny!

MM was a lucky girl to have such an amazing birthday, what better place to celebrate it at than Beaches and Cream...I'm dying to go here sometime, especially after seeing your pictures of it.

Too funny about Jeff and the thunder, what a funny a memory for you guys to have from this day

Another thing we have in common:rotfl2: Their pictures from Turks and Caicos were so beautiful...maybe that will be my trip for my 50th in 2014!

You and Jasmine definitely love that dessert don't you! That rain was unreal, we were actually in fits of uncontrolable laughter on the bus just thinking about how soaked we were going to get!

So - I'm confused - did Jeff keep filling up a bowl with the kitchen sink. Holy crap there was a lot of ice cream on those tables. Unbelievable! That kitchen sink looks crazy. I've heard the No Way Jose is pretty darn good. I've really got to over to Beaches and Cream. I've used it as a parking excuse several times. Now I need to really eat there. :rotfl:

I can't believe the rain. OMG! That is one serious deluge.

Woah, that is truly the skies parting and the heavens dumping! That's some heavy rain.

Love Beaches and Cream. I was going to say that you guys had the seats we did in July, but then again the restaurant is completely tiny, so I guess it's not completely out of the question. :lmao:

Jasmine is not alone in being afraid of the GMR. When I was younger, the Alien part just used to scare the bejesus out of me.
