Perdita&Pongo (Nancy) emailed me a bit ago, regarding her MIL, Evelyn, who is having surgery today for breast cancer. Could we all remember Evelyn, Nancy and their families in our prayers and good wishes?

Hoping your MIL has a successful surgery today, Nancy, and a quick, comfortable and complete recovery. My prayers and best are with her and you all. {{Hugs}}.

Thank you all so very much for your well wishes and prayers! Special thanks go to Dan for putting this thread up on behalf of my MIL Evelyn. I am so very touched.

I have wonderful news today: As you know the surgery was last Thursday where the complete tumor was removed along with two sentinel lymph nodes. Today we got the great news that the margin around the tumor and the lymph nodes were free of cancer!! Praise be!!!

She will still need to undergo radiation I believe, but it looks as though it hasn't spread at this point. So I guess she can be called a cancer survivor - yippee!!

Nancy that is so wonderful to hear that the cancer hasn't spread! I wish your mom the best as she goes through her radiation and I will continue to keep her in my prayers as well as you and the rest of your family!

That is GREAT news, Nancy!!!!! So very glad to hear the good news!!! :sunny: My prayers continue for your mom, and all of you. My best to her as she goes through the radition therapy and her road to complete recovery and remission. She will be a survivor!!!! Yeeeessssss!!!! :sunny: God bless.
