This is simply a great collection of classics. It is well produced with segues between songs that make it seem to be one long Christmas concert by the wonderfully talented late Karen Carpenter and her brother Richard.
Even if you don't like the Carpenters - or think they were "silly," you will LOVE this CD!

Nat King Cole, Kenny G and Mannheim Steamroller...but my all time favorites are a couple I picked up at Wal-Mart a couple years ago. One looks like a "generic" label & called Seligh Ride - Traditional Carols for Orchestra. The other is "It's Christmas Time" - Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra & Nat King Cole. It has a couple of cuts from Bing Crosby at USO shows during WWII. I'd love to get a couple CDs that are ALL msuic from the USO shows. Not only musical nostalgia, but historical as well!

ALL FOUR of the Manheim Steamroller Studio Christmas Albums.
"One Special Christmas" by David T. Clydesdale Good Luck finding this one!!! I think it's out of print but there isn't a bad cut on the album. Imagine my surprise when we were at Epcot two years ago at Christmas and I heard two of the songs off this project playing at fountain!!!
"Christmas is Jesus" by Bryan Duncan. You have got to hear this one to appreciate it!
I start playing Christmas Music the day after Labor Day. DW and DD are given fair warning at least a week in advance.

Am I the first one to mention that I listed to my Candlelight Processional CD for 3 months a year? That is probably my favorite. I love Manheim Steamroller too, and Sting's Christmas music, it was on compliation albulms. Growing up we listed to John Denver too, and Ray Conniff (sp??). And I love the Muppets too.

I love the old originals. It doesn't seem like Christmas without them. :)
The new ones are great too, but I'm sentimental. :)
And Kevin, what's wrong with Kenny G. I love his music. Especially Breathless.

Definitely Mannheim Steamrollers, Kenny G's Miracles and Hey Santa by Carnie and Wendy Wilson. Those are some of my all time favorites, but I also like the "A Very Special Christmas" series amongst others that I can't think of off the top of my head.

I do have some favorites, I love Luciano Pavarotti. My second favorite is the Irish Tenor's. With Bing Crosby coming in third.
Everyone seems to have a Christmas Album so I guess it depends on what kind of music you like. I try to purchase a few new ones each year, but always seem to come back to my three favorites.

I love the Time Life CD with all the different artists. Also love the Ally McBeal Christmas CD and of course the Candlelight Processional. My kids (15 and 18) start playing Christmas Music as soon as Thanksgiving hits - both have made copies of the CDs for their collections.

O.K. don't laugh.....Riders in the Sky, Merry Christmas from Harmony Ranch was the family favorite last year.
Year before it was Disney's Swinging Christmas, featuring the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
It wouldn't be Christmas without Ray Conniff in the cd player!!

Mannheim Steamroller! (Although the one from last year wasn't as good as the others - I can't remember the name of last year's but it was red with a Christmas tree on the front.)
Kenny G is right up there, also.
