Has anyone stayed at the Villages? Is there a difference between the Village and the Vistana Resort? I booked a week at the Village for one of those delux two bedroom units for $139 a night. It was a little more than the Kidsuites at HIFS so I made the switch. Any info on this place would be greatly appreciated! Is there an old section or newer section? Thanks people!

Russell, I have not stayed at either the Vistana Villages or Resort but will be staying at the Villages for 2 weeks in November. I think if you do a search on Vistana, you will find a wealth of information about both the Villages and the Resort. I recall a thread that was about trying to decide between HIFS and the Villages and the vast majority of people encouraged the Villages. You asked about an older section which suggests that you are confusing the two resorts - the Resort is the older resort with both older and newer sections. The Villages is a relatively new complex without an older section.
Have a great time!

Thanks Gary. I think I made the right choice. It seems like a nice place. Just wish I could find more info on it! I'll keep looking.

Vistana Villages is a brand new resort, less than a 2 years old. It is a luxury condo property. HIFS is a large family oriented motel. Comparing a resort like VV to a hotel like HIFS is an unfair comparison. HIFS is a bit closer to Disney property but that is about the only upside when comparing it to VV. The 2 bedrooms at VV are luxurious and the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom suite is wonderful. The VV is gated. You have a full size washer and dryer along with a modern full-size kitchen. A 32" tv in the living room. 2 full baths and a screened-in balcony are great features. If you do a search on this property on these boards you will get a ton of information on both of these properties.
