Anyone decorate their yard for fall? My Grandchildren and I always decorate for
Halloween.

One of my favorite things to use for decorating is the V-shaped tomato cages. I tip them upside down and put a large styroform ball into the spokes. I now can make any figure I want.

We made a group of 3 ghost. I drape a white sheet over the styroform head, cut out the bottom so it just touches the ground. Tie a large orange ribbon just under the styroform ball and cut out two oval eyes, out of black electrical tape. I secure them to the ground with a dowel so they do not tip over.

We also make a witch with another tomato cage on the front porch. A strobe light in a cauldron with green tissue over the light. Some webs and a few spiders, a black cat and a few bats flying over head and you have a witch cooking up a great halloween brew.

In the front yard we do a grave-yard scene. Tombstones with bones half dug in the ground. A grim reaper made with another large tomato cage.

Tomato cages aren't just for tomatoes.

My grandchildren love this decorating we have a party decorating day.

Happy Halloween Decorating what do you do for halloween? Do you have a special things you do with your children on this fun holiday?

Using the tomato cages to make Halloween figures is a great idea Mamu!! :) I think we'll try that this year.

I used to do more decorating for Halloween a few years ago, but for some reason, now we never seem to get past carving a couple of pumpkins. I prepare them and DH carves them. He sometimes uses those kits to help, and we've had some verrryy spooookky results! lol :)

We have neighbours who do the tombstone yard things, actually had a guy in a coffin who "sat up" as the kids approached. Overwhelmed some of the little ones, but the older kids were very impressed!!

Does anyone bob for apples anymore? :) ;) :)
